Now here lies a little problem. The Land Use Act states that "All lands in the FGN belong to the FGN" Item 39 of the exclusive list also gives mining rights to the FG. Till that is fixed, Kaduna will not derive maximum utility fro it's gold, the same way the ND doesn't do so from its oil. I hope we fix this soon. |
So much cluelessness. I find it sad. This CBN policy, which by the way is Buhari's policy (he has said so on two occassions) is not the best. I sha hope they know what they are doing. |
Silvofitz:I can tell you you are wrong. Have you adjusted Abacha and IBB's loot for inflation? What about OBJ's $5 billion power saga which brought us phantom dams and 0MW of additional power. GEJ's era was marked by corruption but it is not exceptional in that regard by any stretch of the imagination. A lot of the opaque oil deals that continued till GEJ's time were OBJ era deals. I am not biased and don't care one way or the other about the man. I just don't like when people who have not read the history of their country jump in with superlatives about issues they should read about. I also put it to you that you are biased. You are one of the teeming bunch that have been riled up more against Jonathan due to propaganda and ethno-religious consideration. His government was corrupt but calling it the worst in our history shows you have no knowledge of said history. Prove me wrong: Without googling, when was the subsidy regime started? Without googling, Name the sequence of actions that destroyed our civil service Without googling? Which piece of legislation was the greatest contribution to Nigeria becoming the petro-state it is today. A lot of you shouting change cannot accurately describe Nigeria's problems because you don't read, have poor policy knowledge and are very ahistorical. Shouting change is not bad but not have the knowledge of the problem or the ability to bring solution makes you nothing more than someone who simply hated the man who was in power before. Kind Regards, God Bless. RE |
Silvofitz:By saying he "infected" you continue the empty Tinubu-inspired narrative. |
When will Buhari visit? We all criticized Jonathan for not visiting attack sites early? What is being done to bring the perpetrators of these heinous acts to book? Nigerian citizens should speak up. Don't be silent because you support the president. "The only thing required for evil to continue is for men of Goodwill to remain silent" |
This is rubbish. Did Nigeria get independence in 2011? Did the issues of Power Supply, poor refining capacity, dead railway systems etc start under Jonathan? Did the poor planning of National Projects such as Ajaokuta start with Jonathan? This "GEJ ruined Nigeria" is a very ignorant Narrative, caused by poor knowledge of Nigeria's history, unwillingness to have your own mind and an overdose of very poor propaganda. GEJ didn't perform greatly but our systemic issues predate him. Buhari has also made his own errors such as the price modulation fiasco that lead to the current scarcity we have. Why can't you read? Must you come here and arrogantly spread ignorance? Must our biased media make up your mind for you? Find your own reasons to hate or like GEJ/PMB? Also study how nations develop. The post by the OP was too ignorant and shallow for my liking. This kind of thinking is why we are here. |
If you want to criticize Buhari, criticize Buhari. Stop the unnecessary GEJ references |
Is there anywhere in Nigeria with a higher PMS demand than Lagos? |
We need the president to speak up about this menace, the silence is shocking. |
Being owed 5 months out of 7. So sad |
Wepu anya na ala ![]() |
You people sef. In France 100s were killed and no one took pictures of the broken bodies, do you know why? Respect for the dead and civilization. We need to stop taking and circulating these photos. Please |
Buhari's promise is "I'll have ministers by the end of September" Not "I'll send the list by September" This is worrisome. |
Hello All, I just confirmed. The poor baby is dead. He was already dead when the pic was taken. They covered his belly because it was a nasty sight. I don't know wht crime the herdsmen would say the baby committed. A poor innocent baby They keep using cattle rustling as an excuse and the funny thing is the likeliest person to steal a cow is a fellow herdsman. This ethnic cleansing must stop. State and FG must craft a plan for it. |
SurePresident:Statements like these are the problem. Some Northerners interviewed during the pogroms of '66 said "we are doing the world a fovour by killing the Igbo". These people had Igbo Neighbours, customers and sellers but they still had these beliefs. Nigeria please see, what we talk about when we say Bigotry |
I am sure Wizkid will have some too. The "you don poo for church" isn't as bad because he was leveraging a slang "You don't shit for altar"; this means you have done something very embarassing and shameful. |
I don't think it is right to blame ponmo for our inability to improve the leather supply chain. |
HungerBAD:I agree, while my religion and culture will not let me partake in it, I will condemn the act but not the people. If you condemn them, they will hide and continue in hypocrisy. I think we should decriminalize it but keep our restrictions on gay marriage. |
kay29000:My Job as a data person and my time in a school (tech-related major) has brought me in contact with a lot of them. They are not all anti-social or Male ![]() |
Rubbish. Utter rubbish. A lot of top webmasters I know are married or in healthy relationships oh. ![]() |
Sad, we re so far behind aas a country, it is mind-boggling. |
Al of you rushing for FTC have messed Nairaland up |
Nigerian lifes are still worth nothing (except you know someone) |
Which Natural Resources did you say Lagos and Ogun have (they have but that isn't what really benefits them)? What they have is port and Infrastructure (built by the FG with oil money, Ogun Benefits by proximity). Marks must be given to Lagos for improving its IGR during the OBJ blockade. Anyway, we must also review our VAT and Corporate Tax scheme and our National structure. If we are serious we will start there. We only need about 6 states. We can achieve this by creating zonal commissions which will take over in 5 -7 years. But are we serious? |
It seems the structure of BH is changing. They are becoming more like ISIS. |
Well I think the issue is: does he want you for only sex? If yes, are you okay with that please don't play hard to get. Just know it is casual and don't expect anything more. If you want more than sex then don't give it up till you are sure he wants more than sex too. I hate it when women think it is serious when it is just sex for the guy. Hard to get is just to find out what he really wants not an excuse to become a frustrating witch ![]() If you know you guys have something and it is worth it, you may drop your guard jare. That said, waiting till marriage is a very safe option, by that time you are 90% sure that it is more than just sex. |
It is sad to see that the man didn't want to be involved fully in the family planning process. It is a lesson to us all. Family planning is not left for the woman alone. Families should get counselling from the appropriate professionals. It is mostly free Anyway, children are a blessing. |
PDF is best. That way it won't be tampered with. |
We have to do more about women's rights |
If we want a truly progressive one Nigeria, we must not allow that sentence to hold. The support of the Kano state government and the silence of the Presidency is worrisome |
It looks very ambigous. It has to be revised |
kendrick9:Do not say that, they have been improving of recent and the new weapons have been justified. The issue is that it take more than the army to stop BH. Especially the suicide bombing phase. Our intelligence infrastructure must improve radically to face the litheness of a small-cell terror group. |
