Jobs/Vacancies › Re: As A Graduate Can You Do This? .... by Reference(m): 5:00pm On Apr 28, 2022
The key thing is to have a VISION (for your career, for your life, etc),
then have a PLAN ( that will chart the course to getting there),
finally a VEHICLE (to take you there).

If that job is the vehicle to take you there or to some distance along the way, by all means do.
If it will not take you there or breakdown along the way, then wait for another.

The most important factor in all these is YOURSELF, the quality of your decision making.

Exactly what I was saying on another thread about a lady asking a BOLT driver to 'buy her food' on the way in.
Nigeria of today is far too dangerous to be playing with ones life over what is avoidable and unnecessary.
Until we can craft a society of equity and justice, peace will continue to elude us.

What can we say of the actors of this heinous crime.... are they just hungry or greedy.
Whatever the case, it is us that have created poverty and fanned the embers of wanton greed that has made victims out of the innocent and the naive.

Teach the younger ones every passing day, particularly the ladies, that Nigeria is fast becoming a wild life safari with beasts waking up to roam the wild looking for prey to devour.

What a pity.

Russia has a strategic position in the eastern bloc that it is in danger of losing to China.
China may be a silent observer but in the halls of Congress they will be elated that one piece is off the chessboard.

Yes, usa is just a fortunate country. Geographical and population advantages with abundant human and natural resources USA is not surrounded by enemies.
They can foolishly choose to make enemies across their northern and southern borders but the US is strategically wiser and doesn't act belligerently towards Mexico or Canada.

It is just common sense. Russia is surrounded by countries that just cannot stand its guts and they do nothing to help themselves.... they need proper democracy abeg.

Nothing wrong in that now, since he'll collect his money. It's even in the driver's interest because he might inflate the amount of food bought.
It is very unprofessional, reckless and in the Nigeria of today absolutely dangerous.
Shallow thinkers always, always, always turn out victims.
The incident of the rape/murder on the BRT Express has quickly become forgotten history.
I have no sympathy for dunces.
Even in developed nations with well invested security, people are wary and vigilant once they step out of their comfort zones..... thoughtless of this failed country.

I disagree.
Gwarimpa is a mess.
It lacks the standard infrastructure typical of Abuja Districts.... open sewers, narrow roads without walkways and power cables everywhere.
I doubt if it exists on the initial Masterplan.
It may be expensive, but so is Ikeja, Surulere and other mixed-planned suburbs that rapidly become overcrowded and unlivable.
I rarely venture there.

Politics › Re: EFCC Chairman Bawa At Arsenal's Emirates Stadium: Photo by Reference(m): 12:30pm On Apr 24, 2022
There will be so many arguments for and against this particular 'incident'.... for lack of middle ground wording..
But what is important is the debate that surrounds it.

That Nigerians can lend their voice questioning the judgement of a public official particularly one who should be held in high moral prudence and esteem as the Head of Nigeria's anti-corruption war indicates that we are slowly getting weary of bad governance and are joining the league of progressive citizens who hold their leaders by the balls and will not hesitate to squeeze where they see a potential for malfeasance.

In summary the picture does not represent the face of the average Nigerian.
People will certainly question it.

Why not the word 'fall' which can construe an accident or an incident.

JESUS Christ is Coming!
Hell is about to break loose on this sinking ship.
Get ready to meet JESUS Christ !!!
You cannot say you didn't hear or know!!
Yes, rapture is coming.

But what is happening to the sun is merely seasonal aka solar maxima, an eleven year cycle of elevated magnetic activity deep in the sun's core leading to the ejection of coronal matter x-rays, gamma rays, etc when these forces overcome the massive gravitational force of the sun.

All these the Almighty God created by the way and swore will continue unfailingly until a time of His choosing. So to use seasons to predetermine the end of time is actually preempting the Will of the Almighty God which is rebellious to Scripture by the way.

The disciples of Jesus tried that with Him in the Bible and He tacitly shut them down. Times and seasons are not your business.

VP office is powerless in Nigeria, the reason Osinbajo was just docile and obedient throughout the Buhari's administration. Hope he will feel the suffering of the poor masses and revive the Nigeria economy if he become the next president.
Hope is not a strategy.....
Here we go again.
A repeat of this same quote on this very forum concerning this very President in 2015.
Who employs a driver based on hope..... and then expects to arrive safely at a destination he never planned.

See where we are today after seven.... wasted years.
If in 2014 we had insisted on a man that had a vision and put forward in clear terms his plan to get us to where we wanted and gave us the opportunity to vett the processes.... believe you me, we will have been in a better place.

We are no better than 'baby citizens'.... too weak, to ignorant and too emotional to handle leadership and by extension democracy. We just do not understand how it works to develop nations so we are always at risk at being taken for a ride.

Only in a nation called Nigeria has the citizens already and overwhelmingly decided who they will vote for when NONE, ZERO, ZILCH has been offered by way of solutions to their numerous challenges by any of the candidates.... only in Nigeria.

Little wonder ponzi's sell here like hotcake.

Not a single policy direction a year, one year, just one year to the elections.
Nigeria's democracy is so shallow. A show of smoke and mirrors.
How can you agree to go where you know not.
Then when the leader typically takes them where they never expected they start abusing him.
Who orders a BOLT then decides where to go..... only in Nigeria.
Politics › Re: From 7 To 70: Why Are They Not Talking About This - By Femi Adesina by Reference(m): 4:18pm On Apr 22, 2022
To know the answer of 'why they are not talking about it', is to recall my posts of late 2014 and 2015.
To know the answer of 'why they are not talking about it', is to return to the school of governance and to learn the rudiments of first, what a people want out of a democratic journey, what the role of a government is in this experiment and to realize when those expectations are not being delivered.

For starters, when your government adds millions of Nigerians to the official United Nations roll call of 'extremely poor' year on year perhaps those who you want to sing your praises are busy rummaging through trash cans to survive.

When you don't feed your pet dog, why do you think it will have the time to watch over your homestead.
While the late Bush senior was busy flaunting America's might round the world thinking American's would feast on hot air in the midst of his war induced recession, Clinton leveraged on James Carville's election quip, '... its the economy stupid...'

Yes, like the US in 1992, the economy is in such a poor state, nothing this government flaunts will ever get recognition. Mr. Buhari's legacy is set in stone unfortunately, as an unsuccessful second stint Head of State.

The only blame I will lay on the pilot is that he failed to apologise for 'stepping on the toes' of the passenger (pun not intended),
but by tradition pilots are absolutely in command of their aircraft and have wide powers over their passengers (and ultimately responsible for any incident that occurs), and believe you me you do not want an angry pilot at the controls of your flight.
