Asour:Don't mind the ignorant, packed to the rafters on this forum that follow falsehood like sheep. Said it since the war started in response to their early quims. That NATO was a product of the second world war to put all allied militaries in one union to ensure they do not turn their weapons on themselves ever again. And that remains it's bedrock, internal cohesion. That the issues of the Cold War came about later was not the reason NATO was formed. And as you alluded, not every member sees eye to eye. France has never accepted American leadership and it's military does not touch American equipment or logistics yet they remain allies and do not conflict because of NATO neither does the US dare bully them because of history as the French aided America significantly in it's war of independence from Britain. Folks just talk nonsense, knowing little of the foundations of what they see happening. NATO is not eager to expand. It does not advertise membership. It is a club that the threatened seek to join and Russia has mismanaged the situation since the collapse of the Soviet Union. If it played it's card well it should have been in NATO today as a ranking member but they did not democratize and have an autocrat in power with dreams of empire building. Who doesn't like freedom. |
Too many skeletons I guess.... and a real fear of the uncovering of 'mass graves'... |
eagleu:It is not blaming the victim. It is a heads up to the vulnerable. When tragedies occur incidents are split into two, justice and knowledge. One looks forward, the other looks back, both so that these tragedies are not repeated. Unfortunately she played into a den of lions and paid the ultimate price. The lions should be put down but the lessons have to be learnt. Then we can all advocate for a just and equitable society moving forward where the lions and the lambs can lie down in pasture and bring all the pressure on the institutions that have made this country almost impossible to live in. We should all search our consciences to see that we are not propping up ideologies that underpin incidents like these covertly or overtly. |
You can imagine how a whole CBN Governor talks.... like a motorpark tout.... a whole head of corporate Nigeria.... a man not only Nigeria, but Africa and the rest of the business world should listen to, to determine our economic fortunes on a day to day basis... Just sad. But don't blame him. The food for men and the food for dogs differ. Nigerians have so demeaned themselves before these people, so divided and weakened themselves that they are treated no better than dogs. We truly deserve all what we are getting, warts, insults and all. |
Who will sack the CBN Governor pls. |
For individual students it is a sure distraction but for heaven's sake communication is vital so call rooms must be reinstated where students can make and receive calls in public and under supervision so that parents get early notice when things go wrong. |
carl90:What nonsense time. Doesn't the CBN have a governing board to eject him immediately and with all prejudice just to preserve the integrity of the institution..... well my bad.... I forgot individuals are institutions in these dark parts of the world.... ![]() |
Chimera30:In very small quantities pls. Perfect heart glue. |
They should instal an escalator and stop embarrassing this man biko. Did they not see his face before electing him. When people with sinister agendas go polling they throw common sense out of the window and act out of expediency similar to what happened in 2015 and is going to happen again in 2023 in Nigeria. Just to win they will vote invalids, crazies and despots. |
Kriss216:Abi oh. Or which Nigeria are we talking about. Do you quarrel with your mirror or obey what it says. |
This guy is completely deluded. Pally, what are you? This man is getting vibes from a broken system that makes the establishment impervious to accountability. I see him getting a state pardon and apology soon. |
Cryptic. |
'.....Olajengbesi, in a statement on Monday, warned that the CBN governor must quit now as all sensitive materials of the Independent National Electoral Commission are domiciled with CBN headed by Emefiele...' Hahaha.... so there will not be thumb-printing deep in the vaults... Only in Nigeria... ![]() |
InvertedHammer:Honestly Nigerians need more and more suffering to awaken their dead minds. Look at the posts above and you wonder if these folks register on the IQ scale at all. |
What a mess. Just when you think Nigeria has reached rock bottom they bring in an excavator to bury her deeper than a toxic waste dumpsite. A weak, ignorant and divided citizenry cannot experience anything but suffering. |
Esseite:No entirely true. Just as getting the best players does not guarantee winning trophies, the best candidate may not deliver the dividends of democracy. Team work is key, where government and the governed sit around a table and work out the way forward to development. So it is an ability of the 'stars' to pass the ball to one another while advancing towards the goal with all skill and diligence. And that makes for electing a President, a captain that is visionary, vocal but is also a listener and a servant. Not all captains will win the 'best player' award. He is not necessarily the highest paid, just the longest serving or the most stable in thought. |
Noticed it in and out of church this morning. The army of young men lining the streets hawking gasoline. How they get situation reports before anyone else remains a mystery. A nation that loves the abnormal and eagerly profits from chaos. |
sonofElElyon:Playing games with Nigeria and her hapless citizens for 7 years?? Put them in any functional democracy anywhere in the world and the ruling party will be swept out wholesale at the next polls. Can you imagine this kind of crass, insensitive statement when all the indices of life and living are tanking Is Nigeria for them or for the citizens. You are given power to 'change' and you claim you are 'bidding time'.... I don't blame them. It is the weakness and ignorance of those they claim to serve that they have the nerve to imply this. |
lascos912:A bridge too far. The EPL is not a farmers' league. To get it, you earn it. |
The two Liverpool wing backs will be their undoing going forward in their quad quest because they simply offer zero, zilch without the ball and the mindless crosses of Trent Alexander can easily be read like a bedtime story. Yeah, they put opposition defenses to sleep. |
FuckOsuPigs:Do not bother about failed citizens. The totally absurd, the ridiculous and outright incomprehensible is the normal in Nigeria. And we wonder why we are sliding into anarchy and hopelessness. If what we do as a people is right, if what we accept as citizens is good, where are the fruits. The world will just gaze at us as a nation in amazement. And people like the poster you quoted with regret and empathy as truly primitive and lost for basic reasoning. |
It has never been so bad. There is absolutely no dignity left.... morality is totally finished in Nigeria. I cannot see anything beyond a revolution in Nigeria. And it will be absolute. This is a failed country. Things you will never imagine growing up are happening before our very eyes and are the near normals' today. |
When we say it is pointless having a PVC, yet another proof. Just pity those who have stood in lines since 1999 believing a lie..... that their fellow citizens know exactly what they want from this tragic comedy called democracy. |
Please stop bringing all these nonsensical news here. They are not worth the paper written on or the bandwidth that screens them. Very soon even a grasscutters and jackasses will declare for Nigeria's Presidency. |
CJ310:Soldiers no longer shave. That great British military tradition has gone to the dogs in the armed forces of today. Everyone is excused shaving. In those days you will be confined to barracks. Nowadays the discrepant poster boys of indiscipline are all over the highways and before an increasingly critical and disrespecting public. |
DSC7:Great builder.... but really awful architect. A lot of the structures in Abakaliki look more at home in Disneyland..... ![]() |
Soccer is very, very.... just can't explain. |
okuta007:Some truth in this. He is a great technician but a very questionable tactician. |
Richy4:I had retired to my study to round up the day and out of the corner of my eye...boom extra time.... how? |
Chai. Football is madness. |
Both teams look very nervous and are making too many mistakes. Anyway it is a gaffer's game. Whoever gets the tactics right will win the tie. |
brainhgeek:Just ignore these daft people. Why trying to explain to failed citizens who willingly mortgage the future of their country for a morsel of decayed meal. |
