ElsonMorali:How can it be new. The last in that series was made in 2006. So there is none less than 13 years old. The good news is that in car terms that is like a five year old car, still optimal with a good first owner. The bad news is that we donot know when this one was built and who are/were the previous owners. If was owned by Lufthansa or AA then its cool. If it was owned by Air Jagaja of the Kingdom of Anyhow.... hmmm... I don't personally do used cars but I was to prescribe then if it not Abuja used or maintained by Shell Petroleum then forget it. |
...Kindly disable all software and fly the craft the way we know you can. Computers are fallible. Don't sit back like the typical lazy African expecting things he cannot create to work for his without question. Obudupikin:War is in stages. By the time it gets to the zenith, that is attrition, even the recovery of bodies is a luxury. |
hardywaltz:Always comparing and competing with the worst of history to justify an inability to move forward. The tragedy called Nigeria. Shouldn't we go back to the colonoal era instead.... regressive society.... |
The COAS will not open a 'SITUATION ROOM' for this, his primary responsibility but will open one for ELECTIONS because what is essentially a civil matter is more important to him than a purely military one raging in such places as Zamfara. You win election battles and lose the internal security war. What is the point. ...the destruction of institutions is what will ultimately bring this country her knees... |
How did she put her friends and family in pain. The parents think the Univeristy will subsidise their efforts to raise their children properly and keep them in the straight and narrow. The friends will see all the signs and choose to ignore them in the least and most likely be complicit. If one cannot bring up his child properly, he must be prepared for a world of shame and a lifetime of pain. That is a job no one else can do. |
Yeah, just had a run in early this morning. Near miss. No surprises. Taxi. |
And what is wrong with that. I keep on hearing these things all the time and cannot undetstand why folks are bothered. Go somewhere else. Not everywhere is 'Shoprite'. Not every eatery is KFC. Not every establishment is open to the public. |
You know you are middle age when you've actually driven in every single edition in the flesh. |
Oh.... I almost thought they were referring to the 'Crocodile'... ![]() |
Hard work.... then I read the text and of course....'girl on whatapp group' So I want to review my recommendation and say.... just do the minimum amount of productive work in a day. |
Hard work. |

OkunrinOloro:We are already at sea. What is the difference betwern imprisonment and incarceration mbok. |
You can see how the.black man pisses in the cup he needs to drink from tomorrow. You can see how the black man truncates his future. You can see how this government destroys institutions. For such a learned man not to be able to grasp the import of what he says let alone what he does is just mind numbing... then he wants to preside over other jurists and pass judgements in accordance to the laws he cannot keep himself... Nigeria is just a trajic comedy. |
You will think in an anti- corruption crusade such as this regime these sort of things no longer exist. Shows two things. The fight remains arbitrary and not institutional. Two, the framework to institutionalize the fight emaina a pipe dream. In this structure, corruption CAN NEVER END. |
If Chelsea doesn't make the UCL spot Hazard is gone, period. Nothing will stop that. |
I can bet Nigeria has enough installed capacity to provide near uninterrupted power. Unfortunately this capacity lies on the premises of individuals, corporate organizations and industries. What we need is the political will to open up the power sector and detach it from cartels and the application of technology ti harness it. For instance I have a 60kva generator in my home and a 200kva generator at my office. When I leave for work in the morning my energy consumption drops to a capacity of 5kva. Instead of wasting 55kva doing the laundry and cleaning the house I can have a smart two way meter through a charge controller to pump the excess 55 kva capacity into the electricity grid and either get a cash payment frorn the supply or the equivalent discounts on my future electricity bill or a recharge on my tot up power card similar to making a bank deposit into my account. Then your generator can be as effective as your personal car doing a rush hour taxi run while you are still at the office, just a lot more discreet and patriotic. Incentify the process by providing smart two way meters and watch as 20,000 megawatts is instantly made available to the national.grid. We need to think out of the box in Nigeria to survive. |
Please, please, please.... Mr Orji Uzor Kalu is NOT qualified to be SP by any stretch of the imagination. He has a suspended date with the EFCC. This is the second arm of government we speak off here.... the crucible of the Constitution and the kitchen of Laws that govern this country..... being run by someone who is a lame duck in the power equation.... who can be subject to blackmail by those he is supposed to superintend over and check.... and curtail when their excesses appear.... hmmm I know the establishment will want him for this very reason... the desire to turn thus country to a one man show. It will be a serious pity if the people play along with this. |
Deltatoto:One is gentle, one is rascal is not the criteria for an important office. Nigerians, find out about these people first. Before backing one or the other make sure your criteria is a little bit more cerebral. |
goldenceo1:What are the benefits to the people. What will be his potential leadership of the Senate benefit Nigeria as a nation. We love powerful men, men we cannot hold accountable to be our servants. We love empire building from pastors to congressmen bevause we cannot shake off the vestages of colonialism. He is building a fortress. What is your benefit. What does your community where he holds monarchical power looklike. That should be your concern before imposing him on Nigeria. We have had worked examples: We had David Mark. We know what his constituency is. We know what his tenure as SP became, no impact. We know what Saraki's tenure as emperor in Kwara was. We know what his tenure as SP became, chaotic..... we need to raise the bar for these people we give so much power to ensure sentiment is not the only reward for our loyalty. |
I hope tne invoming PDP government is not stacking up excuses the way the government in the centre did throughout its first tenure. A leader of worth does not need money to perform. The problem of Nigeria is not financial, its one of paucity of ideas and a stubborn desire to continue under an unworkable ideology of collective existence. |
crayon001:We need restructuring, period. There are visionaries everywhere. It is the rocky ground that they simply cannot cultivate. Elon Musk was a 15 year old nobody when he left the dark continent. Today the civilised world is hoping for his interstellar success. If he remained here what will have happened. Just watch as the Bishop will soon hit the shallow bedrock of institutional resistance formulated by the custodians of the status quo, the almighty owners of Nigeria. Thank goodness he is a fighter. In the US today States offer incentives to ordinary folks to instal solar panels. They pay you for the excess electricity you pump into the grid and cut your bills when they give you power (for instance at night) as a further incentive for you to buy more panels and storage capacity. In Nigeria you buy poles, conductors and install transformer, they willl frustrate your life with bribe requests to energize it and then completely take it over if you are not willing to let them overload it or give you a maintenance bill to send power into it all ex-your normal monthly bill..... is this a sane society?. |
Preator:Okay so na now you know say without restructuring there is no hope. Mark you the owners of Nigeria want it like that so just lament but steer clear. Nigeria is one huge crab basket. |
v2:This is an example of what I am saying. The Righteous believer knows who his antagonist is and how he should be handled because he understands the Word which makes it clear. '...your adversary, the Devil... 1Peter 5:8. The Righteous believer knows how to handle his antagonist the Devil because he understands the Word which makes it clear. '...resist him by STANDING in the faith... 1Peter 5:9. The Righteous believer know how to avoid getting into a position of endless battles against the Devil his adversary because he understands the Word which makes it clear '.... be sober and vigilant.... 1 Peter 5:8 or in plain english it means to be 'clear headed' and 'attentive'. Now, the last person who will be clear headed is one who is confused by smoke and mirrors, by deception and simulation. The last person who will be clear headed is one who the Devil has distracted to think he has multiple enemies instead of just ONE ADVERSARY, he himself. When I was in the military one of the basic lessons of Infantry Field Craft was deception. A section or platoon engaging the enemy must do everything to ensure it appears bigger, more numerous and have superior fire power than it actually has while remaining invidible, well camouflaged in reality. Appearance deception, noise deception, etc was standard military doctrine and training. The purpose is to distract, degrade and demoralise the enemy into putting up confused, random and insignificant resistance. To maje them talk and worry, fret and flee instead of fight. If the Devil can convince you of some perceived enemy out there and makes you believe they are numerous, powerful and a threat to your life he will have succeeded in occupying your thought process and rendering you unable to engage he himself. An army that has no intelligence unit to know the strengths and weaknesses, the capacity and capability of its adversary is bound to be defeated. Know your Bible by yourself. Stop listening to your prophet or ignorant pastor who tells you you have multiple, unknown, random enemies out there. There is only ONE ENEMY and you know him. Go after him. If you are fighting an unknown entity you will waste your ammunition and tire out. Christianity is a knowledge based religion. Nothing is ultimately hidden to those who will study and understand. Stop being deceived. No humanoid is your enemy in Christ. |
In Christ we do not have enemes. An enemy connotes a physical being but all things are created of God and we are admonished not to destroy the works of God's hands. In Christ however we do have adversities and an Adversary, which we are commanded to fight, to battle in the spirit by faith, by knowledge so that we may have free access to the things of God. Today due to the widespread lack of faith and the paucity of knowledge in the modern church the saints have done all to humanoid what is essentially, purely a spiritual matter. |
Yes. |
This is not national news. There are thousands of miles of roads in Nigeria, millions of automobiles on these roads and hundreds of accidents everyday. Are we watching Sky News where I should be bothered about a cat trapped in a tree in rural Nottinghamshire.... ![]() |
koribobo:Might not necessarily be so. Cup games are notoriously hard to predict and the FA Cup is one unique competition built around a history of upsets. The UEFA Champions League is slowly evolving in that direction. If you have been watching football for a while you will have noticed that in the late 80's, 90's and early 2000's when European clubs were heavily staffed by indigenous/national players and coaches club squads took the personalities of national teams and with the tactics of that era international games were tight, cagey affairs because everyone knew the strengths and weaknesses of everyone. It was easier to predict the winner of UCL games. These days there is merging of tactics. Most clubs play the same way. Pep has taken the tiki-taka to the Bundesliga and left parts of the DNA there together with some of its ambassadors from Laliga in Bayern, he has brought same to City. If City squares up to Bayern the result becomes less predictable. Klopp left his counter pressing legacy at Dortmund, brought some of it to Liverpool and mixed it in. The result, an unexpected Liverpool victory right there in the Allianz Arena against Bayern who thought they were playing against a normally brittle English team, a result that was unthinkable a decade ago. Two decades ago Liverpool a strong, traditional English club would prefer to have a British coach and British players. Today every club in first tier Europe has multi lingual, multi cultural players. The effect of this is clubs have become similar in the way they play. The results are less predictable. Even the power and influence of marquee players and gaffers such as the Messi's, the Ronaldo's, the Guardiolas, the Klopps on the result of matches and the outcome of games will continue to decline in the future. I will not rule Manchester United in or out against Barcelona. On that day a reliable Messi will just become sterile while an inconsistent Pogba will just become a beast. A calm Valverde will become confused while a baby Solksjaer will become his daddy. Such is the drama of modern day football. |
Absolutely none of our business. A failed government was rewarded with another opportunity. Enjoy your school of hard knocks. |
If you can make that child into a seed then he/she should never fall far from the tree. But we have lost our way in God. Lost the purpose for our creation so civilisation requires or expects children to be 'scattered abroad' so that progress is terminated, knowledge is lost and continuity is ended. In reality a child leaving his parents is the product of the curse on man at his downfall to sin in the garden of Eden. |
