aguiyi2:Hmmm...visionary....buses.... . Please what is the meaning of the term 'visionary' again....kindly edit your post mbok. |
At least he did something in his constituency apart from the noise he has been making upandan and his flashy lifestyle. That is what he was voted in to do.
He was not elected to execute projects. Don't be naive. |
We don't care. We have advised what needs to be done tirelessly. |
baby124:My dear, the sum of a man's life in the experiences he has is a function of the way he looks at a cup of water, either as half full or half empty. You simply cannot live better than you think. And I think it is time we as a people begin to face some harsh realities. A lot of our parents did not live wisely and responsibly and this is why we experience individually and collectively this harsh, hostile society we have. To excuse that is to tend to repeat the same mistakes given the same set of circumstances. Someone somewhere has to break the chain and the first step is to admit failure. If perhaps my children in time to come look back at Nigeria or my life and they see something illogical or really bad, they have every right to crticise me for not remediating or delivering better results. This attitude is what makes me seek knowledge and work hard to ensure myself and the society is better. Please, I appeal to you. Donot excuse what is illogical. Call a success a success and a failure a failure. Let us cut out sentiment from our lives as Nigerians so we can make the best decisions on a daily basis. |
albaniy1:Again, sentiment, not fact. The bane of this country. The question you should ask yourself is. Given another chance, knowing what you know now, will you make the same move. That is how to approach matters. When you see tragedies like these you must think of how to reverse it and ensure it never happens again, not excuse it and find ways of glossing over. Clearly both parents are irresponsible. And at the rate they are going one of them will end up deceased shortly. |
baby124:But that is the fact and you ended with sentiments. That is the difference between the west and Africa. They deal with facts, statistics, planning, the economics of having children because their conscience and laws mandate responsibility. We on the other hand love fairytales, denial, escapism, buck passing and the protection of delusional religion so our lives are short, brutal and full of sorrow. How will a reasonable person not want out. Wr are just too ignorant a people in Nigeria to support the vast population we have. There lies our prime challenge. |
nkypat:He is noble. Sacrificed to save the planet from further demographic damage. At the rate they were going by their 30th anniversary a bus load of kids would have made the visit to the grave of their late mother. |
Sorry, ignorant idol worshipper. What is the purpose of insurance again. You pay insurance and still gamble with your life. What if the electricals failed. |
OP discriminating against middlebelt farmers and political thugs. Those ones cannot find life insurance in Nigeria. |
Once again, this insurgency has no military solution. These terrorists will bleed the armed forces dry drop by drop until conscription becomes the only realistic hope of survival. |
Nice...... I say restructure, una say no.....enjoy.... |
Nice...... I say restructure, una say no.....so enjoy.... |
But you have not told us the kind of pie he was selling so we can know the level of greed required to take to the skies. I know it must be the attraction of corruption or corner cutting or overnight wealth. |
spiritedtete:Depends on what caused the crash. If it was mechanical failure or a second party or some stuff, then its okay. On the other hand if you went on a drunken rage, then you get nada. That's why the cops are there to find out what happened and insurance will liaise with MTA to do that. Anyway for a car like that insurance will give you a long list of don'ts together with a hefty premium package and if you are under 20 and unmarried they won't even bother. |
The cost of development is quoted in dollar terms...says so much. |
benuejosh:But if Akume and not the Benue people 'selected' him as governor, what is the guarantee that Akume will not make the same selection mistake again. We have seen the military make a selection mistake in Obasanjo and Obasanjo making serial selection mistakes in Yaradua/Jonathan and then Buhari. Are the people of Benue actually this dull and ignorant. |
Kennyprince:Oh,.so Akume is the issue of importance here and not the loss of lives and terrible insecurity in the state. Is this democracy we practice here or what. |
SARS officers are something else in EKP, they are threat to the lives of students. They were recently banned from entering a certain area in the community after breaking into somebody's house where they stole 90k in the person's absent. These men are certified criminals [/quote/) If you don't want police, donot do crime, simple. If you are a tenant in that community and it bothers you much, move out. If you are a landlord then openly campaign against the crime, the police will hear and avoid you and your household. Anything else is just connivance. If I operated a students hostel for instance in that location, knowing what I know I will only admit student tenants with valid police screening and invite the police to do regular spots and stings. There will never be a raid. |
But why run if there is nothing. Once again innocent ones should move out of criminal hideouts. Crime by association is notoriously legally difficult to disprove and morally questionable. If my relation tells me these kind of things take place in a location he or she stays, I will advise to relocate immediately as legal expenses are not part of my statutory budget. |
Time will tell. The situation nonetheless is extremely dangerous. The incoming government will be inheriting a lot of socio-political IED'S. |
Go and sit down mister. You've served your term and are not contesting. The same nonsense Amaechi was doing in the Wike/Peterside contest. Desperate, corrupt misfits who don't know what democracy is all about. |
icedfire:Medicals in football is like an interview in normal day jobs. Your CV may be universal but no employer will inherit the question, 'what will you bring to this firm'. That is why when footballers get certain injuries and illnesses they seek expertise from other clubs sometimes their past clubs because standards differ from country to country thoughtless of from club to club. Clubs are sometimes affiliated to specific hospitals, laboratories and even consultants. Their standards are bound to differ. |
icedfire:Each team has its own performance criteria and they have medical standards that relate to the club, its prospects, player longevity, etc. It can even determine how much is the final value of the contract. Moreover this check also sets up his medical profile so that when annual checks are made they can be related to his entry. Also a player of his profile will command a high insurance premium which the club will be paying, there are merchandising contracts and the promoters will want to know the body physique they are investing heavily in. Th famous Kanu had been playing for Ajax, even winning the Champions League but it is when he made the attempt to switch to Internazionale Milan that his defective heart valve was found out. How do you explain that. Just different criteria and I understand that of Italian clubs are particularly high. Italy has always been known for recreational and performance enhancing drugs use in soccer and this has a profound effect on player health and welfare. And remember, the last on field death in soccer was in Serie A, just last season, so you can imagine buying a 100million dollar machine and depending on the VIN when you can do diagnostics yourself. Very foolish. |
Just remember which government started it....when the backlash comes.... |
DP. |
And what is wrong with a police raid. If they have sufficient intel about criminal activities going on in that location and can get a warrant, they have every right and moral obligation to protect the society. Simply get legal assistance if you are clean and then move out of that hostel if you know it is a hotbed of crime or put your future and life at risk. |
I don't have a PVC and don't vote but this is just silly. And shows the lack of understanding in the first place. |
Lucky it happened here. If it was western europe his career is almost over. |
eddyboii:God does not attend to deliberate mistakes made in rebellion. And rebellion is defined as having all the information and yet making a bad decision. For this the bible has said on every matter, 'get wisdom'. It is simply not wise to continue with such a marraige and if you do you will suffer inspite.... or despite God. This kind of attitude is what causes the world to ask, 'where is your God', when all manner of storms come. Most troubles today in the kingdom and with His children are just self inflicted: the failure of wisdom or the abundance of ignorance or the intransigence of rebellion. |
charliboy654:There are no practical solutions. It is a very irresponsible act to attempt to bring a child into this world that is in inherent risk by default. The physical trauma alone should be enough dissuation. But typically I do expect a Nigerian to go ahead as we are selfish and shallow thinkers. And the lady in question is talking about love as if she knows what love is. The first proof of love is sacrifice. Ones wilĺingness to let go in the process of giving. True love will not allow her to continue with certain consequences. That rather seems to me like inconsideration and selfishness. |
Then prepare to face the consequences. |
Congrats to Fayemi. I hope he brings the much needed change and stability to the long suffering people of that state who have been subjected to socio-political trauma in the hands of the ruling PDP who had clearly failed to deliver the dividends of democracy. And I hope it marks the end of Fayose's political career. Such people are not needed in the political space. |
