I hope Walcott will be told to return to his village for that blunder. Useless club. |
Hmmmm..... nation of rent seekers. |
By 2019 everyone will be demystified, period. |
toluxa1:If they put in their spare money will that hoodlum have married his sidekick complete with a boat cruise. When you offer 30 percent a month and say 'put in your spare money', you are like the fisherman that puts a piece of bread on the end of his fishing hook. Yeah, some fish will nibble and get away, most will be snagged and end up in the soup pot. Anyone who thinks Mavrodi intended to feed the world's fishes must be fish brained, swallowing that crap tale hook, line and sinker. The russian thief must be gulping down choice vodka right now with baluga caviar.....yeah, yeah, pickled fish eggs.... |
The quality of government is indirectly proportional to the number and intensity of conflicts of whatever kind. It is one of the basis I personally rate leadership and that is why the Yaradua government and the Jonathan government rate higher in my opinion. When you look at the prosperity index of countries all over the world you can correlate them with peace and progress. Let us look at them side by side: The United States with Mexico. One deals with crime equitably across the political divide, the other murders its criminal citizens while protecting its criminal officials. Singapore with The Philippines. One treats its religious and ethnic diversity equitably, the other excludes its minorities and has been fighting insurgent wars for decades. In Africa, the fastest growing economy is Rwanda, that has dealt with its civil war past and respects its citizens who were once called cockroaches. On the other hand President Assad is winning the war against his own people, crushing them with foreign backed might and brutality. He will win the battle but will lose the war. You donot need a crystal ball to tell you that mass poverty and famine awaits Syria in the decades to come. You donot need a guru to tell you that starvation, not rebellion will put an end to Assad's regime. If you were an investor, whether local or foreign, will you put your money in Syria, no. So political stability by coercion is not a ticket to prosperity but disaster. Rather a negotiated settlement, social justice and the respect for all peoples is the only way to development. The quality of leadership is thus in the ability to settle conflicts and keep your citizens satisfied and happy. That is the yardstick I use to rate leadership and since this democratic dispensation, Jonathan remains 1, Yaradua 2, Obasanjo 3, and Buhari 4. It is no surprise that the historical state of the economy follows this rating. If this government can sort out its numerous political, sectional, religious wars it is fighting and igniting all over the place, it will soon discover that it has more than enough resources to prosper the country irrespective of oil prices. Listening to Nigeria Info this morning, a caller lamented where 'all the money at government's disposal was going'. No subsidy payments, cannot pay salaries properly, is not executing meaningful capital projects, and has barely passed the 30 percent mark in budget execution and yet has borrowed huge amounts (4.5 trillion), has recovered loot and has plugged leakages of all kinds and I said, There are hidden costs that are not budgetted which this government is spending heavily on: Miscellaneous internal conflicts. Obasanjo met a lower oil price and a worse debt portfolio yet we did not see these massive currency devaluations and economic turbulence in the transition from Abdulsalami to his government. This government has just got to focus on the big picture, get a fire extinguisher and stop chasing rats. If it reacts to everything PDP, Ipob, MEND and whatever ae doing in these knee jerk manner, it will break this country and spill the tonic that holds the key to its health and prosperity going forward. It is very disapointing indeed. |
ivandragon:Thank you, I spoke of de-escalation long before the present government was elected and warned against new conflicts and the re-kindling of old ones as affecting the economy and stability of government, but we can see the ideologies of the ruling class which places power guised as 'unity' above development and view the country as a conquered territory. It is a pity that we donot reslise how the 'state of the nation' impinges on the prosperity of its citizens. Basically if you cannot love your neighbour as yourself you cannot prosper. |
AngelsAndStars:Even educated people......so sad. |
Ishilove:Work and travel, lots of it, but I'm taking an early holiday to prep for an early 2017. Can't attend to anymore business this year. Am burnt out. |
Ishilove:Hi, long time. |
anigbajumo:Oga, it is a crime to obtain money under false pretences. What you are doing is promoting criminal activities. In sane climes you can go to jail. The government who makes laws say this scam is illegal. Well meaningful, people have advised you people to stop, that it is a pyramid scheme and you keep on promoting it so that more people will get hurt at your expense, for your gain. What sort of nonsense is this. You cannot choose the directives to obey and not to. Mavrodi has no right to rebel aginst our laws under the cover of societal ignorance and crass greed. Stop destroying peoples lives. |
If one crafty russian hoodlum can fleece toddlers of their candy in billions why can't government raise legit cash to execute its projects, reflate the economy and move this country forward. Because there is still residual money in the economy and I have it on good information that there are tons and tons of raw cash in dollars hidden in private vaults waiting for the flood of Noah to ebb away. So why? Here's a couple. A paucity of ideas. Even if you gave the same amount of money to government as Sergy Mavrodi and his 40 thieves stole, they will equally return a loss, spend 70 percent paying themselves (as per budget 2017), flying around and buying bulletproof cars so you can't shoot their light out, steal half of the remaining 30 percent and squander the rest on, you know na, cutting grass. If the above doesn't happen by divine intervention, in their wisdom they will probably give it all out to Julius Berger to buy a host of white elephants at ridiculous cost, (CCC will buy cheaper, normal black coloured elephants and paint them white) and our so called local contractors will do theirs in green white green claiming local content. Not a penny will yield. But what if Nigeria was properly restructured and run like a first class business enterprise that makes profit at the close of the year, we may not even need foreign investors and wil not care what oil prices are because we can adequately finance our projects, build our railway, build our electrical infrastructure and refine our oil, and return profit to our people. The US funded its war against the axis powers largely by bonds sold to the people of America IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GREAT DEPRESSION. And by investing the money in massive industrial war production of planes, tanks, ships, munitions, uniforms and all manner of supplies, American established its industrial base and became a super power. It was never a traditional colonial power like Britain or France that achieved its wealth through plunder but by unifying its people around a common cause. What makes a Russian Mavrodi succeed in opening people's wallets that Buhari or any other Nigerian leader cannot do. Simple, structure. Nigeria is not structured for its citizens to build it. |
victorking:The retards involved in this game of musical chairs should google the word ponzi and match it with their experiences line by line, but alas that is why they are retarded. The crafty will always win and a fool will quickly lose grip of his money says the bible. |
Some Nigerians can be so disgusting. We truly deserve anything that we experience as a people of this country. When I comduct business across the pond it is so, so tough. The security they build around themselves and their businesses is becoming unbearable then you hear the currency of trust of us Nigerians wasted yet again. How many sorry, sordid stories will my clients tell me about Nigerians before moving their deals forward. How many insults will I be subjected to because of people like these. It will take another dozen successful deals, positive stories to erode the damage one bad egg has caused. And we badly need foreign partnerships. |
Abeg, Wike should just go and sit down abeg. His antecedents tally with everything on that tape. He is an over ambition desperate politician with little value to the political process who's only interest is personal power for the sake of it. If he was in active opposition to the government then one could try to reason with him and consequently excuse him as a counter-weight to this regime but his interests start and end in Rivers swampy politics where he is actively stirring up the mud. |
Jesusloveyou:They are not equipped to take this country forward. When will you admit that. The best performing governments in Nigeria's history start well and deteriorate with time. This one did not even start well, got bogged down with sentiments and is gasping for air halfway into its tenure. Where is the energy going to come from. Where are the ideas we haven't seen since elections. With all the pressure mounted on them if they had a joker in their kitty, they will have played it by now. The Fashola you guys were all hailing was doing far better than this by his second year. |
An the incompetent Minister is setting the exchange rate of 303 to the dollars for the 2017 budget wgen he knows 95 percent GDP operates on 505 to the dollar. Silly man. When he sends his wife to the market to buy soup stuff she should find the ingredients that were produced at 303 to the dollar. Just planning to fail. That is Jonathan's fault too. |
Projecting forward to 2021, who should we hold responsible 2 years into the next government. If it is Buhari should we still be blaming Jonathan 6 years after, or if it someone other than Buhari in charge we will blame Buhari, then? I can't understand this government and its pathetic excuses for its own actions it has been repeatedly warned about. This is exactly what led to the fall of the previous regime, the failure the accurately gauge popular opinion and act appropriately until it became too late. It will present a score card in 2019 for popular examination. What defence will it present for re-election..... Jonathan government? Jonathan still ruling and ruining Nigeria two years after. What a joke. |
And you can imagine the idiot of a Minister was saying this nonsense during a meeting called to appraise the performance of government. Meaning they admit that they have accomplished zero, but its not their fault. |
sarrki:Then the mechanic you took your car to is telling you to your face that, 'Oga, you are a useless man for bringing this damaged car to my workshop, bad driver, that's why I've taken apart the engine and cannot put it back together. Infact the damage is worse than I expected, oga, na ya fault. Pally, won't you sack the mechanic and tow the car far away from his workshop before it becones a heap of spare parts. Can you mention one thing, JUST ONE THING accomplished in two years of this government. By this timescale in Obama's first term economic stimulus had started yielding results, auto sales were up and bailout funds were being repayed. Can you point out one, anyone economic policy this government has started in two years, none. Just waiting for OPEC and buying time with excuses. Rubbish. |
rozayx5: Yeah, where is the dude. Sailed into the sunset. Hope he has seen what has happened to the Falcons, GEJ's fault too. No money to even receive them at the Villa. Is our economy smaller than that of Cameroun that could host its heroes. There is a limit to the defence of incompetency. |
freeze001:But I told you folks that corruption is not our problem. Almost two years of war against corruption, are you better for it. Is any structure of worth built on one leg, one foundation only. See what is happening to his appointees, one story after the other. Infact what people are now saying is that the reason why more scandals have nit hit headlines is because there is little to steal, so the bandits wait for the stage coach to return. The goverment has wandered helplessly across the desert of anti corruption and has lost its bearings. It is now exhausted, famished and beginning to see strange things. Now cannibalism has started: Magu v Kyari et al Folks, no matter how big the alsatian you place at your gates or how fierce your rottweiler is in preventing theft, they cannot do business for you, replace you at the office when you are sick or write cheques. You will still die of hunger if you donot work. It is my earnest hope that what Nigerians have seen so far and what they will go through in the second half of this government will make for INFORMED choices come the end of the game in 2019, not out of emotions which will suggest a mad rush for economic liberty (which will only lead to the election of an MMM candidate) as they did after the corruption riddled GEJ regime but view governance holistically and elect a candidate who will restructure this country because it is apparent, this mono-agenda thing is a re ipe for failure. By the way, is Lai Mohammed still in this government. It appears APC west has completely delaminated. Everyone is just ghosting. Those few seconds of silence before the storm...... hmmmm. We told them so. |
UnknownT: I tell you. Indeed suffering is a tonic to the soul. That is how great nations are made, welded together by the heat of battle. We will get there. |
Told you folks, corruption is not the problem of Nigeria and have not received a reply to my inquiry: How many of Buhari's Ministers and Milads in 83 to 85 is not a multi billionaire today or at the time of their demise. Government is a continuum so is corruption just taking different forms, loot moving from one enclave to the other. More and more will be revealed by the uncovering wind of time. It is inevitable and everyone will be demystified. What Nigeria needs is to remove the pot from the fire to prevent the burning food. Restructure Nigeria now. |
That is the result of anyone who has benefitted in anyway from this scam, theft has given way to man slaughter. It is fast becoming blood money. Government should move fast to apprehend theses hoodlums and recover whatever cash and assets are left before they sail into the sunset. |
GOFRONT:They create value, do not offer ridiculous promises and donot take cash from people. Didn't your mommy tell you, 'If its too good to be true, it probably is...' |
My only concern now is that staff of the EFCC who should be going after these known criminals may be participants hoping for eldorado in January and losing precious time. The so called 'break' or 'pause' is just a smokescreen to give the hoodlums time to clear the till and vanish into thin air. |
berrystunn:The fundamental question you should ask yourself is, where is the money I am receiving coming from. If no productivity is involved, no value has been created and someone somewhere has LOST money equivalent to what you have gained. Whether the person is resilient ir not is not the matter. SOMEONE SOMEWHERE HAS LOST. And if the person is hurt badly by that, his blood is on your head, period. This is what I explained to several folks when this thing started a few months ago. It is a ponzi scheme, period. |
Now that the identities of these con men and women are known, I expect the EFCC to go after them in liaison with INTERPOL and expect them in courts before January or the leads will run cold. Enough is enough. |
This is what I continue to say. The state of a country is a reflection of the quality of its inhabitants, its people, its citizens and the aggregate of their day to day thoughts that form their actions results ultimately in their experiences, so when you see the decay and degredation of Nigeria day after day, you know the mindset of the average Nigerian. A Ponzi scheme is openly defended, even after it has crashed. Worse, its participants shamelessly defend it. Worst, its promoters openly defend it and their actions when their counterparts in other climes would have been in custody, courts and gaols and their victims seeking compensation through law suits, ours are hanging themselves and drinking poison. Are these the citizens than can develop this country, educate themselves, make right political/electoral decisions, bring themselves out of poverty and depravity. If they can fall for this, they can fall for any lie told by any man claiming leadership in any field of endeavour. That's why churches are filled with people seeking after people, not God. That is why the sum of religion these days is wealth not righteousness.... and I can go on and on. For me, the good thing about this whole debacle is that it has helped me filter through the level of mental competence of participants on this forum. I used to read most posts but now MMM has sorted out those I know are mentally competent to comment and those who just speak out of emotions because a mentally competent person cannot possibly be involved and I should not be listening to such people of questionable judgement on any matter whatsoever. This I have started to practice in my everyday life as regards my family, my staff, my business associates and friends as well. And quite a few have absolutely disappointed. |
asuustrike2009:You better shut this scam and find something better to do with your time. If you have more money than you need and love your neighbour so much, open a charity, simple. Stop patronising the greed of the gullible because they will curse you as they crash and burn. |
hollowpot15684:At who's expenses. Are Nigerians this retarded. Destroying one another. Has anyone asked what productivity results in the so called rewards. What work you have done to deserve that amount. Open your eyes. IT IS A PONZI SCHEME period, and whatever anyone has 'gained' another person has equally LOST. It is civilised robbery, nothing more. The music has now stopped and many are left without chairs to sit. The grand loser in this is all society. Our values are further degraded, work set aside and greed elevated, now bitterness, woe, sickness and death follow. Anyone participating in this kind of thing is simply evil. There is no defending it at all. |
Anything that will prevent the extension of Wenger's contract is welcome. Wenger is the sole reason why Arsenal is not better seeded, with recurrent jaundiced performances at the knock-out stage. To avoid Bayern you need to be a Bayern, consistent top performances at the business end, not the satisfaction of just qualifying. And if anyone thinks the likes of Hector Bellerin and Theo-Theo can win the big-eared trophy, then his aparment must be on the same street with Wenger, in the town of El-dorado, Cloud Cookoo land. |
