Well Jesus is coming in January so Kelechi had better start preparing for rapture..... sorry transfer... |
Folks who are asking for sacrifice from the girls should find out what the lifespan of an athlete is. What the lifespan of a female athlete in a male dominated sport, knowing that the womens game even in advanced countries remains largely informal, semi-professional and lowly paid, then ask an african who will be discrimainated against abroad and forced to quit early to go the family way at home, then you will realise that for most of them, this is their one and only shot at life, their wages and pension rolled in one, perhaps the one and only shot at accomplishing anything meaningful in life.... and they have delivered glory, so why should their rewards be delayed or denied and on top of rhat insult why should their patriotism and their motives be questioned. This is a big shame to this country. |
iluvdonjazzy:If they reel out the monies owed them going 4 or 5 tourneys back you will just keep quiet. The NFF is a chronic debtor that should be taken over by AMCON in sane climes, a completely failed institution run by retards. Honestly, government should just hand sports over to the private sector. Then at least if the management cannot meets its obligations it would be declared bankrupt and its assests disposed off to settle its debts. Terrible, and instead of de-escalation, they are pouring petrol on fire. Not knowing they are all in employment because of these sportsmen they fight. |
lloyds:No one said it was, no one intended it to be. Christians did not start the political division of Nigeria along religious lines. I support it 101%. |
The Bill has nothing to do with Christianity. It is a tool of governance so it does not matter to the faith but with respect to Christians living in the Nigerian state it may be necessary if the country has decided to divide itself along religious lines. There is no point having Islamic jurisprudence without an Cnristian equivalent. |
frostylook: Yeah, when you think you've heard it all and we can't get any lower, scientists discover as much water near the core of the earth as there is on the surface and Nigeria heads there.... |
SillyMods: Abeg, you've lost this argument. There are fewer and fewer straws to clutch every passing day. By 2019 what will the campaign issues be?. Buhari will not get re-elected because of security or anti-corruption but the issues people are talking about right now. It is better you folks, his supporters start working on the economy now or else even a marionette will beat him at the polls. |
My take on all this is that the regulator should take a holistic and studious look at the whole industry with a view to its development and sustainability. And it can only do this on a foundation of integrity and professionalism which it currently lacks. Nigerians should also realise that the NCC is in between them and the operators for a smooth running of the industry in the overall interest of all. It is the doctor that can recommend painful treatmemts when necessary and we must remember that the free market competition that has driven down prices can get out of control and crash the market as we have seen with commodities internationally. The regulator (of some sort) OPEC has moved to raise oil prices because they have been too low, too long leading to instability in oil producing economies that if not checked will inevitabky kead to collapse of several oil companie and oil producing countries and guess what, future massive spikes in oil prices. If we don't want to see the telecos crash (and believe you me they can crash), then we should not just dismiss their concerns with a wave of the hand. The fact that telecos in europe and america are more resilient to viber and whatsapp does not necessarily translate to Nigeria. We have peculiar challenges and a tougher operating environment as most business owners will attest to. It is up to the regulator to find out if indeed this is a wolf cry or a genuine concern. But once again it takes an astute and honest regulator to adjudicate. |
stevebond007:Same here. The first line I bought in 02' but today they are at the bottom of the pile and hardly used. Etisalat has ranked No.1 three years running. |
Policy inconsistencies is killing this country via this government. Say one thing today, twist it tomorow, withdraw it the next day, plunge it back in again..... It is only a p.orno star that can enjoy this back and forth, tupsy turvy, high wire acrobatics. Certainly not the great and the good. |
By 2019 they will all be demystified. He lost it in the mud baths of party politicking and has been struggling for life and limb ever since. He broke the sacred rule of poltical activism which says.....it is about the game, not the players.... Now his ratings have gone the way of Alfred Nobel's other famous invention....... kaboom !!! |
I'm beginning to forget that the elections that brought this government to power was just a shade under two years ago and already the wheels have fallen off, faster than I would have ever seen. It appears Nigerians have begun to assert themselves. That hunger is the most effective debugging tool is becoming an understatement. |
By 2019 they will all be demystified. |
Look, I implore Nigerians to do a bit more research about their country. The knowledge gap amongst folks, particularly as shown on this forum is as wide as the Grand Canyon. The West has been putting our local foods in tins since the 60's That they are not on our store shelves has more to do with our degrading economy rather than our ability to innovate. We have been buying tinned egusi soup from the white man since independence. The Asians want to do it cheaper so we can afford it once again. Who's fault. And the ones I had then tasted better than what came out of the Army kitchen when you warmed it in your mess plate over hot coals. And it had beef cuttings in it too. |
Back in the days we had what was called 'campo rations' when on field exercises and later field ops in the military, a standard 1foot by 1foot pack containing everything from granulated sugar packs like you see in restaurants to tinned beans and yes, tinned jollof rice and egusi soup all made in the United Kingdom. It was standard Army issue before military standards deteriorated. Its not today that our local foods have been preserved in ways Nigerians of today cannot imagine, by foreigners. And it's not shocking. Its been there before, perhaps just making a comeback from Asia. And boy, I enjoyed those campo rations, those days..... |
Corruption has fought back and has won. This is the way Nigeria has been run since independence and the Buhari era is no different. By 2019 everyone will be demystified. They will all understand what Nigeria is really about, a nation that consumes its people. |
I told you folks so. Only restructuring can save Nigeria. Just look around and see folks slurping their vomit left, right and centre, licking the ar.ses of their 'enemies' until their tongues turn brown. Once again, nothing much to say about Nigeria..... that has not been said before. Enjoy. |
Is there anything that has changed...... Said about Nigeria, politics, the ruling APC and the powerful godfathers..... Now you know who owns this country and why Nigeria is the way it is.... Am I shocked that hitherto diehard PMB supporters are now caling him names....because of things like these......no... just a repitition of what was, what is and what shall continue to be..... Change the game, not the players, restructure Nigeria NOW!!! If not there is practically nothing to say on this forum because everything has been said, again and again and again and again.....round and round and round we go. Movement....no motion, no progress.... so bye till the next eclipse of Nigeria |
Invest in her profession to actualise her vision not these nonsense captive items of vanity, empty heads. |
Said enough about this rubbish going on in government. If the EFCC is faulty why not repair it. The mechanics of Nigeria will rather use hydraulic fluid in the engine block because fake engine oil abounds. How wise? Is the EFCC above the law to create 'frosty' relationships with the government it serves. I just don't get it. If the head of the EFCC refuses to prosecute judges why can't he be removed and someone else appointed to do the job. But I suspect the government is not following the right procedure and this is rather about individual interests forwhich does not fit institutional moulds. The result is clear. The government comtinjes to undermine its institutions sacrificing them yet again on the altar of individuals andtheir interests. Later they turn round and wonder why they donot work when they seek the help of these institutions they systematically destroy. |
So, so, so sad. Poverty is really bad. I weep for them. They should take heart and trust God for better days. Pity. |
fiizznation:From which geo zone are you. Just asking. |
Once again, by 2019 everyone will be demystified. We will all realise that a hundred substitutions cannot make Wolverhampton Wanderers win the Champions League. If the system is wack, it is wack. Restructure Nigeria now. |
Great art. Luv em. |
Every president/prime from Tafawa Balewa to Buhari II has been accused of kowtowing to perceive sycophants within. By 2019 all the blame will be on them and the President like all before him will be absolved of direct blame. 'Oh, he was a nice man, it was the people around him'. Same ol song since 1960. Shows we have not progressed as a nation. |
Then I can safely say it is becoming a cult. There are certain lines in Christianity that shouldn't be crossed, one of which is decency. Jesus Christ saved us to become like himself. Will He do these things. |
Not saying anything anymore on this matter. The people hailing today will be the victims in years to come when they will look for independent, strong institutions and find none. No matter how long you back the wrong thing and misuse the right thing, there will be a day of reckoning. Ignorance has led us to this place and it will lead us further into the abyss. |
The Executive has no business meddling in the affairs of the Judiciary. The Judiciary has its internal control mechanism and if that is faulty should be repaired not destroyed. The Executive should petition the NJC and back it up with evidence and let the people decide whether action is being taken through the Legislature. That is the way democracy works. Now this has happened and the authority of the Judiciary has been undermined who amongst them will be able to stand against the Executive, this government specificaly when it errs without fear of reprisals. I am beginning to have absolutely no hope in this administration. Anyone for any reason whatsoever who does not support, build and nuture institutions is setting this country back. Am just sick and tired of this one man show that is proving time and again to hurt this country's overall long term interests. No matter how loving a parent is, he cannot sit an exam for his child. He can only teach, nuture and pray for growth and knowledge. The executive is trying to do what it should not be doing. It will not allow this country to develop. Buhari cannot and will not remain there forever. If he does not allow Nigeria to grow it will be disastrous in the future. The aftermath of totalitarian regimes from Houphet Boigny, to Seseseko to Pinochet to Ghadaffi to the late Chavez is better imagined than experienced. The people always suffer tremendpusly from the 'I know it all and do it all' phenom afterwards. There is a reason for seperation of powers but what we see today is the truncating of government, first it was war against the Legislature and the capture of Saraki and Dogara by the net of graft, padding, whatever, now is the war against the Judiciary so that the Executive has a free ride without checks and balances... |
...and that of men will be handled by...... please donot tell me a blacksmith.... ![]() |
sdindan: A whole national team defender dey head ball for ground inside 18 yard. No be assist be dat. Be like say he don do 'both teams to score', or wetin dem dey call am for Ladbrokes. Association of kit boys dey call am to return to meeting. |
The stars are aligned for us. No doubt, to have the easiest tie to start the campaign is an immense morale boost. Then followed by two successive home matches against Algeria and Cameroun should put us in touching distance of the ticketi if we win both and maintain top spot. The last two qualifies should have the team properly geled, the new coach familiar with the players and his tactics perfected having seen both teams in the safety of home. Without guts there is no glory. I want to see the new lads such as Nacho and Iwobi in Russia, playing on good pitches against great teams on the biggest stage because I know they have massive potentials. Goodluck to Nigeria. May the dark days of Nigerian football be over at last. |
See the rubbish he is doing. Ahmed Musa's time has passed. You need to consolidate your midfield not set out your attack at this stage. |
