No big deal. Happens everywhere in the world. The country is bigger than anyone individual and as one falls another rises in his place. It shocks most because of the Nigerianess in us. Best of luck moving forward with your career. You did better than most when it mattered. |
Fluidelvis:Yes 'pay their salaries'. You can always expect Nigerians to fly the money card in everything about life and living. Not surprised we are the way we are. |
Live and let live. The war against corruption is over. Nigeria has won. So much hope a year ago. Told you guys it is systemic, endemic, cancerous, rancorous and a mission impossible. |
Enahi:So you can see it is impossible to run Nigeria without a corrupt government. So you can see that if corruption is the common denominator it cannot be the problem. A year ago lots of people were gripped by the illusion, the utopia of a corrupt, squeaky clean society (well, with only them getting away with dirt). Today, reality has hit home. Without restructuring the country many more Saraki's will continue to run the country into the forseeable future. |
kITATITA:We love corruption. Everybody loves corruption and by the way the corrupt will be in the new cabinet and may be in charge of power and we will end up hailing them......corrupt corruptocrats. |
Modern day slavery. Why didn't he ask you when you arrived as a refugee from Syria. |
PassingShot:I didn't vote for him. I don't vote for anyone because it is as pointless as planting rice in a desert or corn in a swamp. No one can change this country. By 2019 little will have changed in real terms beyond the superficial. However those selected are about the best available and should do well. |
jaymejate: Hahahaha. I think na anti-corruption una dey find. Lets go there. Who will stand abeg. Hands up. |
Can we now see why corruption can never be eradicated, why it is not the biggest problem in Nigeria and why EVERYONE is involved including President Buhari, simply because as a country we cannot decide what, who, where, how corruption in. By the time the Buhari regime was overthrown some of the serving ministers had become multi-millionaires in dollar terms (names on request) right under his nose. Even his number 2 will not pass muster in today's asset declaration regime. We knew then, we know now. The thing doesn't just work. Just wasting their time. |
PassingShot:Pursuing thieving politicians at the expense of the economy abi. Continue to push him. 1984 reloading. Ask those old enough exactly what happened then. Facts not hearsay even if you will not say it out. We learn nothing in this country because we know very little about how things work or fail to work in Nigeria. |
They mix governance with politics, security with politics, the economy with politics. Your boss is mixing his business with politics and you follow into the mud pit mixing your job with politics. Just like our ignorant politicians cannot draw the line so you silly fellow cannot. Let us see how your beloved government will lift you out of your misery. I think they got you the job in the first place abi. |
Seun. You should not be showing this sort of thing for any reason. We are talking about security issues that affect every Nigerian. This is only promoting their cause and will act to boost the morale amongst their ranks. I cannot see what the gain in publicising this tragedy. |
Really gross. Terribly unhealthy chow on display. |
They have not spent well. Wasted their loot on mediocre players. Can't see the attraction to top level managers in the short term. Is Jose next. I already know Wenger the principality is going nowhere except by the anointing. |
mykl01:Hahaha. Chai. Abeg make una take am eazy. |
hucienda:Indeed but you have to try. The terrible politicization of grave national issues in the past must not be repeated. I warned then. I warn again. All Boko Haram needs is a political split to weaken the State since it appears that their attempt at driving a tribal then a religious wedge between Nigerians faltered years ago. What they lost in that they have gained in political divisions since our politics has descended into the ethno-religious mud pit. For one to be secretly or openly wishing and willing BH prevails and continues for political gains or revenge in my opinion is tantamount to unpatriotism at best and sedition at worst. Unfortunately the ruling party and certain high profile members were guilty of this in a time not long gone. The viscious cycle must stop. It is killing the soul of this country. |
simdam500:And why do we fight one another. Why is this insurgency so hard to halt and why did it explode in the first place. Why is corruption so soundly entrenched in this country. These are the roots an objective government should be targetting backed by a sensible people but they pursue the symptoms, cut the branches alone so the whole thing blooms. We need fresh ideas to develop this country not the same thing regime after regime. |
Johnnyessence:You are still relating government corruption to the raging insurgency. What is wrong with you people. Now that corruption is 'dead' why has the insurgency not died with it. Please enough of this rhetoric. We need fresh ideas. This corruption CD is getting worn. The public is increasingly seeing that corruption is not the all and end all of our problems in Nigeria. Just a smokescreen to avoid reforming the country by the owners of Nigeria. |
Don't you just love the Premiership. No pedigree there. No respect for history, geography and chemistry....and....banking and finance. Jose and his gang are looking decidedly like school boys. |
OZAOEKPE:This country is in a mess with views like this. And I urge the government as a matter of urgency to enter into dialogue with these people. At least the elements that can potentially see reason. |
If true. Then it is a good group of people to work with. About time. Now lets start. |
iamdapsyj:It is because there is practically nothing going on as far as governance is concerned. The atmosphere in the country is just sureal. Like an idle couple what else do you do.....make babies. Nothing else to talk about in Nigeria. Either Boko, Saraki or List. |
veraponpo:And I am happy you folks can no longer yelp and rail government for every evil under the sun. That is the beauty of democracy. It humbles, it brings into focus, it elevates the thinking. Now we know government cannot bring heaven on earth. It can only 'DO ITS BEST'. Haha. Told you so. Now get up and take responsibility for your country. |
They destroyed the place so that another one would be built or the building, facilities and equipment conspired to kill the boy. The black race is locked in a viscious cycle. |
Adminisher:It is stupid to enrich a few Nigerians like Jonathan started. Just hear yourself 1. Is it today that Presidents have been enriching people. Which President has not awarded exploration licenses to friends and family. Mention one from Obasanjo I to Yaradua. 2. If it is stupid how come it was acceptable before Jonathan now it is not. Does 'stupid' have a term limit. Your problem is that it concerns a Niger-Deltan President giving favour to a Niger-Deltan indigene. Shame. The Mai-Deribe's, TY Danjuma's and Alakija's (to mention a few) were not Petroleum Engineers, Petrochemical experts of any kind when they were awarded blocs and 3. How have these people improved their communities, States and the nation at large. Is it not them and their families alone. Shame, shame, shame. Am not from the Niger-Delta but I have lived and worked there. Those people deserve every penny they get legally or illegally, individually or communally because since oil was discovered there 40 years ago they have stood by and watched what you criticise them of doing now been done to them. Nigeria has no case as far as I am concerned. |
No one ever learns. Same ol, same ol. |
All I see here is poverty.....everywhere. Nigerians need to consider their ways and unite to forge ahead. Really sad. |
I don't think he owes anyone an explanation. He hasn't broken any laws. As an Emir he is a traditionalist so cannot be held by standards beyond his domain and I donot know of any tradition that doesn't have its quirks. Let him be. |
Dangote is the only one who has openly voiced his frustration with Wenger and would throw him out if given the chance. The other board members are in the same society with Wenger, the principality of the Emirates. |
I hope this is the season that Wenger is chased out of the Emirates with sticks and stones and the board members pelted with rotten eggs. Boy, they badly need Dangote's craftiness. |
Hmmm....yeah. Passed a vote of confidence on corruption. |
See what corruption can do. Turned him to a lame dog. As functional as a defender with a yellow card when his team already has a man sent off. If he resigns or is kicked out Buhari gets a rubber stamp. Even worse. Nigeria is always between a rock and a hard place. Fedrick Forsythe calls it 'the Devil's Alternative.' |
