Koolmexxi:Nobody said you shouldn't yell and throw tantrums in the name of political opposition. If the governor is having an easy ride it is your fault. |
Vandals, vandals, no ideas, just shouting vandals all over the place. Have these vandals not been in operation for years. What does it take to secure a pipeline abeg. Why doesn't anyone have any ideas of a permanent way out of this malaise. |
alaoeri:Is there anyone in and around political office who can pass muster....none I know off. |
This is what you get with lopsided justice. Prosecute some, leave others. Just like partial treatment of infectious diseases, it comes back much worse. If the Buhari led government cannot find a balance in its policies this administration will be plagued by serious opposition throughout its tenure. The good thing though, perhaps people will now see the need for proper institutions as against parochial interests. The instability witnessed today has not been seen since the early years of the Obasanjo presidency. I hope Saraki after putting up a good fight will make way so that the real intentions of government will be revealed whether for good or bad. |
'A Senator from the South East'. Of course no serious matter is complete in Nigeria without ethnicity or religion being dragged in. The moment you see these things you know its origins and destination. |
Same thing the PDP was doing in its last days. The best days of the APC are over. |
5starmilitant:If Dangote is taking loans to pay a wage backlog of half a year then it is a shame. That is poor management. Will you buy his shares if you hear that. |
texazzpete:Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers are seriously below the good governance threshold right from the get go. |
SmartMugu:Hmmm. That of Lagos is international. Lagos is 'bonded', locked in the global financial slave trade. |
5starmilitant:Shows two things. The inability of the government to manage its finances and the inability of the government to generate wealth creating ideas. These two things should inform the choices set before the electorate in the future not sentiments. |
Aitee1:Poor quality governance especially Delta perenially blessed with Mongols. This is what the electorate should tap into not sentiments. It shows their states are poorly run. |
byrron:Shows the quality of governance. The bailout barometer should be the yardstick for political activism, sentiments apart. |
cronsberg:Stop 'declaring assets' as wealth. The wealth of any community is equivalent to the quality of its inhabitants. Nigeria is the way it is because of Nigerians, the United States is the way it is because of Americans. Your house is dirty or clean because of your character and principles. Kogi state is desolate because the people are primitive and ignorant on average. The environment reflects this today. For a people to openly hail Wada and Audu on both sides of the divide speakes volumes and paints a clear but gloomy picture going forward. Pity. |
Where did Arsene Wenger lose it. A few years ago he was rated amongst the best in all Europe. What went wrong. How could he be failing so badly. |
They had 200 million pounds to improve the squad and they couldn't find any player better than this lot. That was the beginning of mediocrity, the percusor of days like these. Same ol, same ol. |
xynerise:Hahahaha. |
aieromon:Just a poor, poor player. |
Osarobo2014:Busy with Saraki, his loot, his anti-party activities et al. Maybe some other time, whenever he decides to be politically incorrect. |
mandax:Hmmm. |
chukwudi44:The whole thing is just going south. Clearly targetted, clearly politically motivated. When the tables are turned again they will be complaining. When the appeal was made to extend the probe to all past misdeeds they said no. How do you want people to co-operate in the anti-corruption war now when you have no semblance whatsoever of equity. These guys are just jokers. Just as it happened in 83. No lessons are ever learned. Until this country is restructured it is just games and pastimes. |
Rawani:Na government dey import toothpick. Na government go build toothpick factory for Nigeria. Na government go diversify economy. Na the government of the country wey the toothpick from dey come dey make am.... Okay make we wait Dangote to make toothpick, abi. Nigerians. The only people on earth who complain tirelessly in front of the mirror. |
One then wonders why he's just being charged now. Any reasonable, thinking person would have a fair idea.
And is this not part of the period Obasanjo was in power. And we were being told the government couldn't go as far back as that. It is clearly sectional, targetted, inequitable and so bound to fail. We are clearly back to the Obasanjo days of selective 'justice' for political ends. We are taking several democratic steps backwards and are actively reversing the gains of the last 8 years. I have often said this. Justice and the balance of power in Nigeria is more important than most other things people get excited about these days. What will happen is that corruption will fight back and eventually prevail simply because so called justice is not fair. Corruption is a systemic, national problem not domiciled in one group or the other. Just like infectious diseases you can only tackle it wholistically and we know this is not possible until the country is restructured. Any other thing is just a waste of time. |
Bevista:State initiated PPP. |
Further ammunition to those who say the Premier league is....... |
Nigerians love stolen money, free resources, allocations, payments for nothing and pretend we hate corruption or let me say they are angry because it is someone else doing the stealing and not them this time around. |
Just wasting their time and energy. Enough meat to get folks anxious and excited while the show goes on. |
Let them tell us how much they got as kick-back from Julius Berger for building Louis Edet House also amongst more than 50 contracts awarded during his time. Just wasting our time. Corruption can never end. |
Nigerians are indeed 'changing'. No one to blame in a hurry. Now is the season of introspection. |
Is it only Ameachi, Fashola and Fayemi that are corrupt. What about Oyinlola, Festus, Rabiu, Ojo....Duke....and Obasanjo's boy Kupolokun, abeg which one hasn't stolen government money or is it because they are not at the eye of current political storms and thus are loaded with petitions. If the long wait is because of corruption then they should be prepared to 'hear news' on almost any nominee. Government cannot be run like this. I hope Sahara reporters is warming up to show their much vaunted investigative prowess and prove doubters wrong that they are biased in favour of the APC. |
airsaylongcon:They will fall your hand. No one goes into government and comes out better. The Nigerian state will guarantee their failure or alter their general perception. When real governance starts and the attachment to the previous regime fades it all goes downhill from there on. It is normal. The best days of the APC are over. |
And their reward is....more power. Oh well, was it not the Esama of Benin that famously justified the re-ascension of his governor son on account of the fact that if a child failed at school he has every right to repeat the class. I hope the south-south gets accorded the same privilege. |
This Osun government is very terrible. My first question several months ago was how a 50% drop in allocation amounted to 0% salary payment. Then he could in theory afford to pay 50% of workers all their salary or all the workers 50% of their wages. Now what is the reason for paying bail out cash piecemeal. I just don't understand. Does a financial black hole exist in Osun State Treasury. |
