As long as Nigerians continue to steal electricity and vandalise poeer infrastructure, estimated billing will continue. Who's gonna pay for all that. |
Trailblazer1:Hahahaha. You want me to laugh.....but really this is not funny.... |
vivacious01:Absolutely unnecessary. We are talking about how unwarranted the media attacks on President Buhari so early in his administration is but these are the causes. When opposition is taken to such extremes. He's out of office. That should be enough consolation. When APC politicians receive the same treatment in the future hope there will be no complaints and excuses like the one Amaechi is offering on Rivers politics. It generally tends to come back many fold. Politicians on both sides of the divide should realise that the cane used in flogging tne old wife awaits tne new bride. Common sense should prevail at all times. |
It has to be the sound of the exhaust so Italian takes the cake, Maserati to be specific. They engineer their exhaust systems to produce like opera. So, so artistic. |
SPAGGYYY:Abi oh. Let us see the pics of all heads of governments, parastatals, institutions and enterprise across the black world. They all look alike. |
The good old lovey, dovey days of the APC are long gone but I just appeal to critics and opposition not to tow the line of political reprisals because it is not in our national interest and it can bacfire badly on them the way it is going for the APC and her supporters after their over-the-top opposition to the past PDP government. Politics is politics. This is not politics. It is national security and our men and women in uniform need our absolute support as they go about their patriotic duties at huge personal risk and sacrifice. We shouldn't mock them by despicable words and acts that belittle their campaigns. The PDP and her suporters should keep silent. They had a chance at leadership and did not deliver. They should cooperate with this new government in halting this scourge. It is in our common interest. |
adeaks:Don't mind them. Instead of listening to what the man has to say, like the man who will fall off a cliff they wave his points away as if he went there to fail in the first place. When a month runs into two and two runs into six and six months run into 4 years, as usual they will be back insulting the new man at tne helm. No one wants the hardwork of rational thinking thoughtless of concerted efforts at ending the problems. All Nigerians love is rhetoric. That's why they get sold down the river time and time again. |
Leonidas1:Hahahaha. So it will have killed the South-African instead. |
bjdon:Well society is slightly more complex than most of us assume. I often relate leadership to the steering, the rudder because that is where the captain of the ship is found, the wheel house. It is high up the bridge, comfortable, commanding and prestigious. But steering alone cannot get you anywhere. You need power and it comes from the people. The power to change Nigeria comes from Nigerians not the Captain. And you know what the engine room is like. It is hot, noisy, smoky, uncomfortable, unheralded just like the mass existence of Nigeria but it is vital. Amidst all the cacaphony there must be hardwork, cooperation and organisation for the ship to have power. We cannot afford to pull in 170 million different directions if the ship of state is to sail successfully. It doesn't matter how good your captain is. If he doesn't have a good team around him he wouldn't win trophies, simple as that. In Nigeria leadership is grossly, grossly over-rated. The followershio is too heavy an anchor to bear in this country. A Junaid who probably cannot win an election in his bathroom will probably decide how this country is run over the next 4 years. We have serious problems in Nigeria. Who the hell is he and where the hell did he come from? But once again, that is Nigeria for you. |
bjdon:Then they will make his tenure ungovernable and there will be nothing you can do about that. They will simply make him fail. That is how bad this country is. |
Jarus:Hahahaha. Is he a trapeze artist. What's all the balancing acts. No wonder Nigeria is a circus. |
PointB:Are you serious. But I thought the APC won the elections. Oh, well maybe I was mistaken. This country..... |
I hope you guys now believe that corruption is not the biggest problem Nigeria has but that of structure. Power balancing, compromises and compensations are precursors to corruption. At the end of the day leadership in Nigeria is always weakened. We operate a jaundiced, corrosive, corruptive system by default. Even the Pope would not succeed in this conundrum. |
tonychristopher:What I've been saying for years. We need more guns in the hands of citizens. If you don't have laws you should have guns. |
datbay:He is right in a way. If we stop politicising everything and allow institutions to be built, a change of government will not have reversed any military gains. But government is so, so personalised that the sound of 'change', 'change' has a destabilizing effect on weak institutions including the military. The generals just sit back and wait for the 'new' C-in-C to take charge. Is that not utter nonsense. Power drops, fuel supply drops, the military drops its guard. All because of an election? Why are we so irresponsible as citizens of this country. Why can't we draw the line between politjcs and governance is the question I always ask. If moving army high command to Maiduguri was a political decision and not an expert one, believe you me, no matter who made it, we are in for it. Obama will make policy decisions not operational ones for the United States military. The military should know its role and maintain it even if there is no government in the country. Please lets get working as a people and not wait for a messiah to solve problems for us. We are 170 million inteligent, capable people in this country. All we need is the will to bring our competencies to bear on our common problems. Buhari's capabilities are no better than the average Nigerian. He needs us to succeed. Without a willing people he will surely fail. |
jemype:Silly talk of an irresponsible citizen. 'If he can't, no one else can....'. That is why Nigeria remains where it is. Is this how an Amercan, Brit or Aussie talks about himself, his people, his country. Better wake up. Nigerians can and should put an end to this tragedy, period. They should find what binds them together and sacrifice what divides them even it means their religion and ideologies. No leader can run a chariot drawn by divisive horses. |
ubamfrank:As an example. Goodluck took Buhari on a tour BEFORE handover. Why couldn't Amaechi do something similar to avoid these kinds of issues. Why did they put their personalities before service. |
vislabraye:And where was Oga. In Abuja. Is that how to serve a people. They always place themselves above their service. And that's why I always prefer supporting the game, not the players nor the clubs. |
anibestlala:Exactly. He created the perfect storm. Imagine GEJ just walking out of the Rock without symbolically handing over. Nothing will be left there theoretically. |
edgeproduk:But like someone pointed out Amaechi perfected the storm by not handing over. When you do that you create room on both sides for this to happen. It could be Wike and his boys but it could also be Amaechi's group with or without his attention. GEJ took GMB round Aso Rock. Why couldn't Amaechi do same. What you should be worried about is what may have happened on a larger state-wide scale to government assets particularly those in the hands of transiting politicians. Heck, what if Amaechi's signature was forged and the treasury raided. Amaechi was careless, period. He wasn't there, didn't handover to spite Wike but it can and may backfire badly. |
wealth123:Don't bring God into your politics abeg. These are issues man himself fabricates. God is impartial, apolitical and unbiased. You on the other hand clearly are. What makes you think God supports Buhari's or APC's election victory. God doesn't save countries. He saves people. Gives them laws, boundaries and formulae for running successful countries. He doesn't dwell on earth and you can't force Him into your nonsense partisan politics. Just do the right thing, but you won't. |
ayusco85:Hmmm. And seems odd that Brilla then got a listing for Jigawa, strange. |
msporche:If you have a car and move from place to place it is unavoidable. |
Musaspp:But he has been in and out of office since the 70's and on each occassion there were always allegations. |
CSTR2:I tell you. It will be like the insurgency. |
dabigwalls:Well they were starry eyed, failed to do their history and so believed a lot of half truths. But in the end we have a working democracy. That is all that matters to me. |
pazienza:Hahahahaha. Abeg you guys free these people oh. If they are distracted what is your gain. The APC did a lot to destabilise the country by their obtuse opposition and we are paying the price in a dis-orientated economy. I hope the PDP donot worsen the situation. |
Interesting times ahead. I just love democracy. |
DropShot:Hahaha. You guys are just impossible. How do you cover a snuggling couple in bed with a baby blanket. Try, try and try again. Please, stop hero worship for your health and well-being. Ask yourself as a citizen. What will I do to assist my leaders attain my ideals. Period. |
Hope she has left the home or else certain retribution awaits on his return. |
bushdoc9919:Any which government hasn't said this since independence. Then you go out and buy that Samsung phone yet again..... |
ki02020:That's what I've been saying. From playing Messi till the season ended on May 28th now its John Terry till 2019 then his likes will join Adeniyi and Abati on the bench of regrets. |
