geeez: Are they setting a tone for Henry Okah's judgment? The other way round. Henry Okah already serving life in SA. Think they were waiting for that. |
Said it time and time again. We have no business in Mali.We should not be the first in. Study the situation first and see how it develops. Intervene only when the combatants are exhausted or risk getting expended ourselves which not a few would love to see. They know the democracy thing is getting better in Nigeria, why the destabilization now. Why create scenarios that will elevate military consciousness. GEJ perhaps has bitten into a sour apple here. Let's see how this plays out but to me our borders are the furthest I would permit our troops to stray. A footnote. May our politicians keep our military as far away from these western agents as possible or else. |
zuchyblink: nigerians are funny! Do u think it is easy to convert penalty or save it?gr8 stars missed penalties not to talk of mikel.the guyz did well,i'm also satisfied.what we is improvement. Its not the same thing. All these players you mention, the Messi's, Drogba's, Rooney's even the Terry's are regular and proven goal scorers. You can excuse that. But when you select a player that shakes the net like rain in the Sahara and he misses such a crucial kick in a crucial game in a crucial tourney, e get as e be. Whoever made that choice just seems a tad silly to say the least. If you go must victor in war, you must use proven not necessarily sophisticated weaponary. Mikel does not expose himself sufficiently to the national team to warrant such trust. And as a matter of fact these things are the part of the reasons why. |
searay: Fellow Nigerians we have it on good authority that CAF have concluded plans to ensure Nigeria's elimination in the very first round of the ongoing Afcon in SA.But if we pay will CAF guarantee us the cup because I'm made to understand that we were given the largest bill. If they will deliver their side then perhaps we should consider sending our toughest negotiator - Chief T.... A...., CBN guv., and madam excess crude or is it sovereign wealth. Who said we can't pay. |
thats not enough reason to award a dubious penalty in return
Why not. The ref wanted to see a pun, sorry pen. scored. So he thought. If these guys can't do it, let me try the other side. CAF needs goals to raise ratings when cheapstakes like you guys won't pay tv rights. Don't worry Faso has banged in 4. Good for CAF, good for refs, good for Nigeria. |
Jazzgreen: MUSA: Good morning my cheque book had been stolen.Hokay. |
abi o ... ever wonder why they assign only arabs for nigeria games ... fraudulent mudafhucking CAF
Because when west africa faces southern africa where else do you get a ref from. Anyway, not to say the ref's aren't bent afterall this is Africa, CAF and 'Hire Two' or whatever his name is. |

webcityng: WHEN YOU DID NOT PAY FOR THE TV RIGHT AND YOU WAN WIN THE CUP, YOU WAN TAKE FREE MONEY ABI?Hmm. Its always about the money. |
heisenberg33: It is this general secretive nature of our people that gives our govt the temerity to run the country with impunity and in reckless abandon. They don't see any need for accountability. It is dishonesty in small things like this that gives you an idea the kind of leaders we have, and consequently the kind of Nation we are......But apparently you don't see anything wrong with that......thats okayYou know this is exactly what came to my mind three days ago as I undertook a public transaction. That is, the way we ordinary folks treat each other, deceive each other, lie to each other in other to gain an advantage is exactly the way government treats us. As I was being hustled I saw the billboards of one of our popular boastful govs hanging over a derelict stretch of road. I tell you if we don't change the way we choose to live in this country we will continue this slide to infamy. The power, influence and money this governor commands is not more than Hugo Chavez of a secretive republic or Hilary Clinton ex-state department. Are their offices not running well too. |
adevest: If the Ethiopia team beat Nigeria, then we need to withdraw from all competitions ASAP to start another rebuilding. The Ethiopians are down right now and they are not as strong as the two teams we ve met so far. I bet my 10 cents we beat them and qualify to next round.He,he,he. Clever man. Ten cents only?. Why not stake your house. |
phreakabit: 80 minutes and you are still bringing in STRIKERS against the cup holders. . . . . Makes a lot of sense. Keshi is a genius! SMH!!!!!!I was tearing my hair out. The Zambians made all subs before Keshi woke up. Too late, the midfield had already collapsed. Then he loaded a striker to a collapsing midfield, then an attacking midfielder and then it was too late. When defending a goal, everyone knows you collapse the wings into the midfield to sharpen the spear for counter-attack. |
aieromon: Call me to order permutation calculators.Ha,ha. Popularly called perambulators. What a waste of 2hrs. |
ypzilanti: We cannot even string 4 or 5 passes together. Those guys who call themselves professionals cannot even pass a ball to a team mate 5 meters away from them. I do not say we should always win, but we should play well na.That's right. Can't see why we can't settle down with our local lads and build a proper TEAM. The advantages of quick fix pros are inconsequential here. |
I'm sorry to say it but I don't see what these so-called foreign pros bring to the team that a well structured and tutored local side can't better. Just can't. |
sholasys: OH!!! GOD, Lets #superEagles Loose today again Zambia. If we win, it will give us false hope. If we loose, it will obvious dat NFF r failureAnd then where is the gain. How can you wish for failure in a tournament that comes every two years just to prove a point. I don't like Dana but once am on board and it takes off I can only hope for the best not pray for a crash. |
abdulkayus: nt all Africans do dat b4 d white came. Here in d north, dey hav been civilised by covering their body very well even b4 d comin of d whites, dat is y d whites really respect dem wen dey came. I can only believe of such unclothness in d eastern 9ja b4 d comin of d whites.C'mon that's not true. Is the Goma community that was found in total n.akedness in the mid eighties not in the north. If they were invited to carnival what do you expect them to wear. |
ehie: our culture before the arrival of whitey, women walked around without shirts...that was our culture, before we embraced the white man's cultureAha. So it was the white man that gave us the forbidden fruit, now we know we are n.aked we are trying to throw up the fruit and return to traditional n.udity while inviting the white man once again, only this time as a tourist c foreign investor. What next. |
Jazzgreen: A wife sends a nude photo to her husband with both legs wide open.Exactly. When you think about the whole concept, personally I just steer clear of the whole cultural experience thing because there is a very thin line between so-called western influences and the more sordid parts of our local culture. The offence is in the eyes of the beholder. |
Pyrrho: Unclothedness was never anyones culture. Pls remind me, what is our culture? Did we use to wear clothes? Somebody pls remind me wen africans used to whr clothes dat covered the whole body before Western silk became popular.Hmm. And God said unto Adam. Who told you you are n.aked. What have you done. Have you disobeyed me?. Funny, n.aked africans now complaining about n.udity. Something else is at work here. |
KnowAll: at least d man spent d money in sokoto. unlike some who will hide their asset in places like london dubai or ghana. d shopping complex will provide livilibood for some traders who will display their wares. Can d same be said of James Ibori, Lucky Igbenidion or Peter Odili.'at least he spent the money in sokoto...' joke right ? |
This looks like one of the first cases of prosecutions due to disappropriate lifestyles. Hitherto the question was 'prove he/she stole'. If the anti-corruption war can head down this lane it will make greater impact and be more respected abroad. The next stage is to go after those who have willfully aided his acts such as his bankers, architects and clearing agents. When the war gets to their doorsteps people will probably ask more questions and be more cautious when offering services to people who clearly should not be in a position to afford them. Anti-corruption is everybody's war. Let's not pretend we don't know or serve them, indirectly encourage or abett them. |
With our limited infrastructure there's not much you can do in many cases. If you travel often as I do to far flung places with poor network coverage and unreliable power supply the best thing is to pack spare batteries. I have half a dozen spares for each phone and I cluster my lines around Nokia for ease of charging. Nokia has proven to be the strongest field phone. Other exotic power guzzlers can stay back at the office. Also once my signal bar on any line falls below 50%, I switch it off. |
folahann: Where did the poster mention AFCON or Burkina Faso? Look closely at the opposition players, do they look like Burkina playersTell me oh. Is this about AFCON or the mindset of a pro player. Or is he not representing Nigeria or is this a sunday sunday kick around. Said it a million times. The day we strike the right balance between abilities and discipline then we will begin to win things. |
I would laff out loud if my hectic day hadn't killed my sanity. |
Super1759: this pix isn't current jooor!!!! Rotimi amaeachi is in naija now!C'mon. With his G550 he could be in London and back before you negotiate Portharcourt's rush hour traffic. |
Afam4eva: If Nigeria wants to qualify from this group, they have to beat Burkina Faso.No probs. Nigeria has already qualified. Can't see us not topping this group. |
Zambia has already dropped their crown. They'd be lucky to get outta this group. Say, curse of the cup holders. |
tellwisdom: See gun wey no fit kill common Goat; na em dis people dey display for world to seeMy friend that rifle has accounted for more lives than all other rifles ever made to date. Since the Nigerian Army left European light weapons in the late eighties they have not looked back. |
eyzeberg: Her gun has a different color(yellow), guess its for a reason. Go girl, Godspeed. Not yellow. Different wood grain. Suspect she must be from the mid-belt or thereabout. |
madridsta007: You can not effectively serve two masters at the same time, with excellent results at both of them. You either fail at one and succeed at the other, or fail on both of them. The former is more likely, failing at being successful while cruising with the lady and pretending success.Looking at the life of Bill Gates I think it is recently that he has become really successful and for Mark, I think its a tad too early. Perhaps the definition of success varies a bit but having settled down to family and philantrophy, relinquishing the wheel of his empire without going downhill gives a better perspective. |
madridsta007: I agree with most of these, but disagree with Number 6.Totally wrong. Women are endowed with special skills and capabilities not found in menfolk. You just have to search for them. The much vaunted saying that behind every successful man is a woman is much more than a fact. |
