kq: This is our 17th NATIONS' CUP and the 14th time we r among the top 3Yes, just behind Egypt and Cameroun when you consider points amassed for wins and draws over the years. You can count on your fingers the times we have featured and returned empty handed. |
Congratulations to the Super Eagles. They've exceeded our expectations and rewarded the confidence some of us had in the team. Like public transport buses, a long wait with none in sight then as you are about giving up they arrive in a convoy. Appears the dearth of goals in the groupies has been paid with interest today. Hope it extends till Sunday. By the way. For you soccer buffs. Can you name the other indigenous coaches that have reached the finals with the Eagles. Like to know. |
TolaniLuv: Oga, so Jesus also is God? Why must we thank or praise Jesus when we know someone is bigger than him, but we say Thank you Jesus always. If you were God am sure u'd b jealous by now.Jesus - the Word is God. There is no other God in Christianity. Does God involve Himself in football. Very unlikely. Does he care about the ways of footballers, administrators and fans - most certainly. Does He take sides - always. Does He prefer one team over the other - no. So did He get involved in the match against Cote D'Ivorie and will He referee the match against Mali - no. It will be for any man according to his faith. God has set laws for winning and any man who abides wins. There are also laws for losing and when you comply - you lose. |
There's no age limit at which wealth can be created. Its all about an idea whose time has come, the passion to prove it and importantly the engine that drives it. Dangote has always operated in mass market, non creative ventures. Such require time to prove it. On the other hand a close family friend crossed the billion naira mark after only five years purely on inspiration right here in Nigeria. So if he's gone to the village to farm its alright but more importantly is what he's farming and how he intends to go about it. There are several farmers doing great numbers. |
BodyKiss: And they had to put up that crappy picture there just to show us Keshi. SMH for ya.Bootleg journalism once again. You can smell it across the Congo. |
luvmijeje: What is the response from the office of the president? Abi Mr President want to break up this country! No seed of mutiny has been sowed. The military remains as professional as it has ever been. These petty distractions cannot distract that great institution. |
It was a clear case of fastest fingers first.! Kazeem shehu won. case closed.
Hmm. Wild, wild west. Watched 'last man standing just a few days ago'. Bruce Willis will be chuffed to bits. |
mmmustapha:Area 51 you mean. |
alpha conde: Nigerian media reportage.. WateryI tell you. How they concluded it was a 'planted bomb' then unconcluded that the contents were uncertain. You just wonder if this is the grade school press club at work. |
Is there any need to comment? Not really. Once again the owners of Nigeria have spoken. The best thing to have happened in Nigerian politics for 30years is the Presidency of Jonathan. Simply put. What was hitherto seen as normal in this generation is now under close scrutiny. Everyone is now politically conscious. That's what bothers them so much. Their slaves have woken up. |
Who knows?? Maybe He was an Arsenal Supporter using an MTN sim & he banks with UBA. As if that isn't enough, he compounded woes by supporting Nigeria. RIP Man. Go enter line 4 yonder make Baba judge ya case. Later u go hear scores
Yeah. Badt combo guaranteed to shorten one's lifespan. |
50calibre: He said that because super eagles not winning the cup would make them look bad. If Nigeria wins the cup, they will console themselves with the fact that the team who knocked them out were better that everyone elseDon't mind them. The most basic of expressions are lost on a vast majority of Nigerians. Traumatized souls. |
Don't worry my old friend, we will. |
agabaI23: He coached Togo and Mali which are both francophone countries. I was pleasantly surprised initially. I am impressed though. You also forgot that he played his pro soccer in Belgium. I presume that's where the lingo stuck. Hope his time with Mali will place him in good stead to deliver. At least he knows how they think and probably has some assets left there behind closed doors. Still maintain my stand. S.E will do well. Keshi just has to make those important changes in good time. Victor Moses has turned out to be a great steal from England. |
The Nigerian Criminal Justice System still has a long way to go and is seriously behind the curve of societal reformation. If not how will they let this man, his legal team and his case tie up so much judicial resources for so long while they are barely able to cope with more devastating cases impinging on our collective survival. |
Yomieluv: The entire police on duty should be questioned,it shows lack of competency,or bribery. Nigeria police, and their stories. Wait,is this peculiar to Nigeria police alone,or all over the world?- I mean their incompetency.Nyet. Gotham police tried to arrest Batman in 'Dark Knight Rises'. Didn't work out either. |
thegoodjoehunt:How can you reach an agreement and then unreach an agreement. It doesn't make sense. I think we confuse the way we do things in Africa with the way things happen in saner climes. There a contractual agreement that will permit the physical relocation of an asset is only deemed to be in force when both parties append a white paper. That is the document Osas will have presented at the QPR gate. At least a faxed or mailed copy. Look, if you must earn 30, 40 or 50,000 pounds a week at least try to read a bit. All the time he spends twitting (permit me) and slagging his (enemies) could have been better expended reading articles and write-ups to arm him for what turned out to be a highly contentious battle. |
Hmm. So many cross comments. Wonder what the real definition of materialism in today's context. The desire to have much and give much or to have none and so give none. I wouldn't even try to offer my spiritual perspective on both or of money matters in this diverse, traumatized and discordant nation. |
Poor, poor judgement. That's why one continues to doubt the decision making of the average black man. Apt at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Good thing he wasn't near South Africa to turn a potential disaster into a certain cataclysm. |
Area Boy: mine is sanni keita......he rilly did a gud job by playin d ball out of d box 18. But steve kelechi shld av start him earlier onHmm. Better take a taxi rather than drive home. Ma 2 cents. |
okpara ugo: Even Sanusi discredits the government he is working for. I wonder why he is still there. He likes salary too much.Pally, he's right on the last point. |
koruji: Sounds like they collided with something - perhaps a bird strike? For the fasten seat belt sign to be turned off they will be well into the initial ascent probably beyond FL15. I can't imagine a strike in that zone. However, thank God for autopilot. Losing one of two engines while climbing at full power is almost irrecoverable. And only if the passengers know how close they came to peril this talk of not telling them what is happening will not arise. The pilot is not obliged to speak to the cabin unless he fully comprehends what the situation is and has escaped imminent distress. |
Only the jail part, breaking rocks to fill those craters dotting Aba streets. |
Though its good for CAF to take action, it is highly inappropriate for Issa Hayatou to 'assure' Nigerian officials that such and such action will be taken. I assume CAF is an organisation and has protocols to deal with such independently. This is an open admission of failure and could open the floodgates of adhoc petitions willy-nilly that could bring the game into disrepute. |
mukina i hope u are reading comments from these gaynians now? if i start my own now u go dey ban me
Of course, when Nigerians join these guys in insulting their country's team purely out of sentiments when you can't point to any marked achievement of these so-called superior teams. But when you point these out they go wild and condescending. The last time I checked this was a Nigerian medium. |
sweetcheecks: SA broke the curse! There is no stoping them now. Did not think they could come back from this. This is the only thing they needed. Super Eagles, hope they stay on to meet Bafana Bafana we need to settle the dispute once and for all.Be careful what you wish for. Don't get carried away. |
mukina2: see me screaming for cv looooooooolFor what reason, I don't get it. |
fredoooooo: the only good news is that morrocco go out and CV go throughBefore you get carried away exactly how is this good. |
Jarus: If Maroc beat SA.Then CAF and Issa Hire-Two will go nuts. |
Eko Ile: Must everything be labeled elitist? Are the construction jobs created by this airport elitist jobs? Are the workers and maintenance crews servicing the airport and the planes elitist? Are the goods and services flowing in and out of the airport for elitists? Are the general commerce and taxes generated by this airport going to the elits ?Ten years down the line that airport will have an annual maintenance budget that will suck resources from other sectors because FAAN will say we cannot keep taking over white elephants. Then let us talk. |
That reminds me, where is Rafael Nadal, is he injured or what..? I have not been hearing of him of late.
His knees gave way after the French Open last year. Couldn't defend his Olympic gold, hasn't player competitively ever since. Was prepped to play down under but took ill in the run up. Me thinks his power game takes just too much off him. Hope he can remain healthy for a few more years though. |
majour: dude is that possible, 3g making ur phone hot, what phone is thatBlackberry Volcano V1. |
