One of the "qualities" I have observed in the UK among managers is the fact that a lot of them have no conscience and they will gang up in a clique against you if you are not a Yes person or you have too much self confidence and they do this witch hunting against strong willed white people as well.

Many years ago I saw my line manager who had tried to control me without succeeding reading a book at KFC about witchcraft and the same manager at an outing told me that any time we are coming in opposite directions in the long office gangway he feels as if I am going to punch him and this is me who has a smile on my face and hold no evil intention against him. This shows that na him witchcraft dey worry am as he couldn't fathom how he had dominated people who had been there years before I joined but couldn't dominate me.

And you are correct, Oyinbo too can lie and generally when Oyinbo wan do evil, dem dey plan am scientifically that its effects are devastating to the victim. But chin up and don't worry as you will eventually get a GOOD job as a mans gifts and something he is very good at will ALWAYS open doors for him sooner or later. Delay is no denial !!!!
I have kuku faced my programming. But I need money like mad so I'm still actively looking for job.

Good evening everyone and Happy Sunday.

This Catarrh has lasted for almost 9yrs now. I've taken different medications but it's still persisting.

I have also done some laboratory test and taken prescribed medication, but no permanent solution.

Please help what else should or can I do to put an end to this menace.

Thank you.
I had this similar issue like you. Catarrh was disturbing for almost 20yrs. I discovered it was dust. And I started avoiding dust. But it did come and go often, but since I left Nigeria, I discovered I am fine.

You should discover what you are allergic to. From dust to smoke to pets. You never know what's you are living with it.

Which is why you should've been sensible enough to not condemn her thread. If I, who has been raised by both parents can be empathetic, you [who now claims to have been raised by a single parent /mother], should've had more empathy.
If she celebrated her mother on mother's day I would be more empathetic.

You've failed to answer my question. Laughable.

If you celebrate your Dad on mother's day, I wouldn't feel any way about it. I would be empathetic enough to allow you to celebrate him, because I know that for every effect there is a definite cause. Secondly, it wouldn't be my place to tell you not to, as I've not walked in your shoes [hypothetically]; the same way none of y'all have walked in OP's shoes.
I was raised by my mother single handedly. So I know what the op is going through. I am in her shoes, literally.

What is unethical and unbalanced about it? People will be using words they don't even understand.

Give me a philosophical argument on what makes her celebrating her mom on Father's Day unethical and unbalanced? You're talking to a Philosophy guru, so wassup?
And all days, it's the father's day. I mean there's like 4 times a year to do that for a mum, and father's day is the perfect day. The op to me is silly. Really silly.

Story grin

Me I care about a woman's money. I won't need her to spend it on me, but at least, it shows she is not lazy and has something to contribute, not that if she want buy Maggi, she will be disturbing me.

Don't marry a broke woman bro, it's a mistake you'll regret if you try, especially in this present day Nigeria. Marry a woman that works, that is industrious, and can wear the helmet if requires. Being macho will lead you no where, be calming down really. Also, one of the test to determine if a woman is with you for person is if money is not her motivation. Even me sef, if Dangote toast me today, I might just discover that I am gay grin

Broke women are the most expensive to keep, they do not know the value of hardwork and will want you to afford the whole world for them, they are most likely to be dumb, entitled, lazy with stupid pride. I don't know any self-respecting person (woman) that will feel comfortable depending on someone's else solely for their livelihood, and if a woman is like that, RUN.

I don warn you, if you go and fork up, I will laugh at you. cool

Like Franchasng and Ubunja would advise women. Don't ever add anything to the sex you are offering. There are men who don't mind. So don't let him cajole you into being masculine. You should be "A damsel in distress" or some sort.

I totally understand your point, which is why I'm responding to this. Otherwise, I'd have read and ignored the mention.

All fathers are not the same, and it's why the Op used, "my mum."

And if kids in this situation choose to celebrate their mother on both days for playing both roles, then I have no issues with that. I wonder why some people do.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I still wish people would reason things from Op's angle. I doubt if it's easy celebrating a mother while everyone else is celebrating their father. She probably spent hours watching others post and wishing she could do the same thing as them.

Why people are acting like she committed a crime is what I'm still trying to understand.
It isn't easy celebrating a mum on father's day whilst others are celebrating their dad.

But there are those who's mum is either late or dead beat, and was raised by their father only, do you think it's OK to celebrate their father on mother's day too?

It is not a crime to celebrate one's mum on father's day, but it's unethical and unbalanced. It's either celebrate your dad, or you don't.

Are all mothers perfect?

If no, do you see people calling their dads super moms on any of the numerous mother's days?
I'm beginning to think it's jealousy. They celebrate theirs at least 4x a year. Just this one day, they want to also take it.

They should also celebrate their mum on world AIDS day, in short every celebration should be about mum.

My mum was and is the best to ever happen to me, that I am not celebrating my dad doesn't mean I should celebrate her. It's like an insult to her.

cool I was once like you, screaming, "Leave Father's Day for Fathers," up and down. Now I know better.

Some of these kids grew up seeing their mother shoulder ALL responsibilities. Not because the man is not capable of doing it or the economy is not favourable, but because he just chose not to.

After seeing all of these, you expect them to get up on Father's Day and write epistle about how their father is an exemplary figure, okwaya?

cool If any child choose to celebrate his/her mother on Father's Day, then they have EVERY right to do that. They're not bitter, it's simply a reaction to someone's action. Some of them have more love to give than you can imagine.
That their father didn't shoulder nothing and left everything for their mum does not mean every father in the world is same.

If they celebrate their mum on fathers day, should they celebrate her on mother's day?

The proper way to ask that question is;
'How are John and Mercy?'

The word 'are' in that sentence replaces any redundant adjective or weak verb/adverb. In this case it is 'doing'; so the 'doing' in your question becomes redundant and needless.
So you sabi hook like this?
