Reread my modified reply. BTW, do not confuse the FG with CBN they are not the same.
In sane clime, the Central Bank is independent of central governments political pressure.
I guess you were at the meeting where the threat of sacking was made.

You are among those who think you must personally benefit from a ministry or they are
incompetent, a wrong thinking which originates from ignorance.

CBN is not a commercial bank that exists to give you loan or benefits.
What is the duty of the CBN if it does not make friendly policies for individuals and groups? How does it stabilise the economy or manage it when one of these is disconnected from its policy making? When you say groups, it includes the government, industry, individuals who make up the larger beneficiary of its policy making and destruction?

Even if I was or not at the meeting, on how many occasions have you heard anywhere in the world that a government folds it arms and let its economy spiral downwards in the name of CBN policy making? Name one occasion please?

CBN Act provides that the CBN Governor develop, continue or improve on the policies of the past governor where the economy stands to benefits individuals, groups, industries or government. It also provides that the CBN disburses these funds through commercial banks and development finance institutions such as Bank Of Industry, Bank Of Agriculture, Nigerian Import Export Bank etc.

When the United Kingdom announced it was leaving the EU, the European Central Bank and European Commission immediately put strong long and short term policies in place policies in place to stabilise the Euro. It immediately went into negotiation with the United Kingdom to negotiate the exit which the latter agreed to EU policies for it to be gradual. It worked and stabilised the rest of the EU and other currencies in the world which were dependent on the Euro zone economies, especially the Eastern Eurpean economies.

I dont benefit from any ministry or government agency and I have been an enterpreneur in furniture, food processing and restaurant and hotel business where we feel the policies of the CBN first hand before other parts of the economy. I am a Chartered Accountant with seventeen years post qualification experience and a MBA. So when you categorise every other person as an illiterate or a hungry government cum political jobber on Nairaland, I am not one of them.

Get your facts straight before coming on stream.

CBN exists to make friendly policies for individuals or groups, their primary mandate
is to stabilise the economy and promote macro-economic development through regulations.
When was the last time you used CBN or FGN loan and how much interest did you pay and what percentage did you part with?

Talking of stabilisation, it took the Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and the National Economic Council to put his job on the line by asking him to pump more dollars and foreign currencies into the economy or get sacked. That was how the the dollar stabilised snce February 2016. Did he need the the National Economic Council to teach him his job? Lets be reasonable.

Same blind CBN are vigorously pursuing cashless policy and at same time discouraging people from banking with this uncertain policy where any thief or bank official can flag red your account on the flimsiest excuses.
The man GEJ brought to destroy the CBN is still there. Until we bring in another Soludo to come and clense the system again before we can have any sanity in the Nigerian banking system.

Opinionated:
The fight against corruption in Nigeria is becoming more systematic and quite a few bank customers could be caught in it inadvertently.

The recent Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulatory framework for Bank Verification Number (BVN) operations and watchlist for the Nigerian banking industry mandates financial institutions to apply restrictions on accounts and BVNs associated with fraudulent activities.

As a result banks and other financial institutions have been mandated to report such activities to law enforcement agencies. Some banks have started updating their terms and conditions for opening and using accounts with them to reflect these changes and give them legal cover should they need to take action against some customers.

It is also possible to lose access to multiple accounts in different banks based on one of your accounts being frozen or flagged for fraud. The BVN simply links the other accounts to fraud and you may be liable to lose access to them.

While some parts of the regulations are not new, the effect of the new directive is that you could lose access to your account and your money based on the suspicion of fraud, not necessarily with concrete evidence. Therefore you need to be a lot more careful about your banking transactions and how you conduct business to avoid being negatively affected by the new regulations.

Source: http://www.opinions.ng/lose-access-money-nigerian-banks/
are the banks not the biggest centres of fraud in the first place? Why should a write up like this care me in the first place? On how many occasions have your monies been reversed when uncashed from the ATM? If so how many days weeks or months did it take you to do that? Seventy seven per cent of Nigerians dont patronise banks because of these fraudulent charges. More pain to an already bad sore is the cash handling charges introduced and backed by a recalcitrant Central Bank which is not considering the economic plight of the citizens.

Its better to yank this story or write up off this front page. This is new year and Nigerians want good news abeg not these moin-mojn-news.

www.gbextra.com/you-dont-need-medicine-at-all-3-minutes-is-actually-enough-for-s3xual-intercourse-nigerian-doctor/

Answering an inquiry from a friend who lasts just 3 minutes during s3x and uses drugs to stay longer before eja.culating during s3x, the young doctor said a person should only be concerned if he barely lasts a minute.

How Many Minutes Do You Think Is Okay For A Man To Stay Before Eja.culating During S3x?

https://mobile.twitter.com/DrOlufunmilayo/status/946698132141891584
This doctor has not heard the word "nymphomaniac". We are not all created equally by the Almighty God. For me anything less than thirty minutes of good S3X is no fun at all. I go up to an hour on a woman. Anything less is a no brainer.

Dokita, i believe you should ask your colleagues how much time they last on bed. The end result is if you tell them three minutes, they will make you an object of fun.

Please explain
In simple arithmetic, compare the arrival of Dangote Refining and Petrochemical plant with what is happening in the Telecom sector. When that Refinery comes on stream, the first thing on its mind is profit. The second is recouping its investments and third its repaying its loans in the long and short term. Then things will normalise after the fourth or fifth year. I am expecting the Dangote group to sell fuel at between N250 - N350 in the first eighteen months to enable it pay its creditors. This will happen in the area that it will export refined petroleum products. The government will contribute its quota through tax holidays of five years as it has applied to telecoms and other sectors under the Piooner Industries incentives under our tax laws. Gradually the prices will fall after this is done.

US that's in support of Israel, don't they benefit from Arab countries like Saudi Arabia? All the 127 countries couldn't have voted against Israel because they benefit from Arab countries. It's simply a case of standing up against injustice and oppression. Even Ethiopia with deep connections to Christianity/Israel voted against them. Una sabi Bible pass Brazil? Una sabi Bible pass Ethiopia? Not everyone defends stupid things like you clowns all in the name of religion. What's wrong is wrong

You never made a single point. You just kept talking about Bible and God like the typical Nigerian. No wonder the country is the way it is

May I also let you know there are more Muslims than Christians in Israel. I'm sure you didn't even know until now that there are Palestinian Christians. When will you dummies realize Israel is not a Christian country?

Forget all the Bible tales for now and use your brain. 127 countries have voted against Israel. They all can't be wrong. The truth is clear. Even the Pope is against Israel
For further education on the issue, PLO's Yasser Arafat's foreign Minister Mrs Hanan Ashrawi is a Christain. Tariq Azeez was Saddam Hussein;s deputy till he was killed. He was a Christain. Among the Arabs there are a sizeable amount of Christains.

HeWrites:
We all show love to our partners in different ways. For some it’s by being there (physically and emotionally), for others, it’s by buying expensive gifts.

One Nigerian man named Ubong King through his recent act has shown the world that he belongs to the latter category.

He took to Instagram to share how he couldn’t afford a ring when he proposed to his wife in 1995 but today, he has bought a ship and named it after her just to show his appreciation.

I proposed to my wife sometime in 1997 without a ring, while squatting in a friend’s house in #Uyo, #Akwaibom state. She said YES even when she knew that I had nothing. She was discouraged by many to change her mind and was asked a question which she told me “why stay with Ubong when he can’t buy you a bottle of #Coca-Cola”. When she told me I looked up and down, I looked at her and said the choice to stay was her’s… she stayed.

We got married in 2002 and still started by squatting in another friend’s house out of Lagos for about 1yr till I got my #mindset right to get my own house in Alagbado. We had to start with one mattress on the floor, second hand carpet, a ceiling fan and our windows were covered with old newspapers since we could not afford curtains.

I worked as a security coordinator in NBC Apapa, bottlers of #Coca-Cola drinks and all i wanted to do was to be responsible to be able to buy my wife a bottle of #Coca-Cola. The drive to be able to refresh my growing family has helped me to be able to buy my wife and kids Coca-Cola drinks at anytime… In 2015, I decided to buy a vessel from that drive and named it after my wife MV IVYKING. Thank YOU @unyimeivyking for starting me up my drive."

His wife shared her own story;
"The pressure to say ‘no’ mounted heavily, but I wasn’t dissuaded because, it was all external, and the reasons, when I summarized them all pointed to one argument- he didn’t have anything and would not be able to provide for me.

I’d built up enough information on the inside to realize that the lack of material acquisitions is a temporary state of being- anybody’s story can change in an instant, with God in their corner. I dared to trust God with that decision, and He honored my trust. I said ‘yes’ because I saw us building an empire together- our story is just beginning and we will write it someday by His grace. Ultimately, God will be glorified and honored. Thank you @ubongking for honoring your commitment to me and for taking care of the children and I, the way you do. *Now you can buy me many crates of coca-cola drinks* if you so wish"

According to our investigation;
In March 2010, the average price for a geared 500-ton container ship was $10 million, while gearless ships of 6,500 and 12,000 TEU averaged prices of $74 million and $105 million respectively.

King Richard II, married a 7 year old girl. King Henry VIII married a 6 years old girl. According to the Catholic encyclopedia, Mary the mother of Jesus was 12 years when she married 99 year old Joseph. Before 1929, Church of England Ministers could marry 12 years old girls in Britain. undecided

Let’s forget about history embedded in holy books and focus on the present reality of the new days.

This present state of Israel is a creation of the UN and there is a resolution binding that creation as to adopt a certain agreement of a two- state solution to the issue about Jerusalem.

Most UN members are against trump not because they want to favor Palestine or the Muslims but they are just fighting for common sense and humanity.

Just go on google and read about the creation of this present state of Israel.

The crew was made up of Captain Amsale Gualu (who commanded the flight), First Officer Tigist Kibret, and 11 cabin crew members. The flight is the first international flight to be operated by an all-female crew to Nigeria.

The 391 passengers on board the ET 901 flight that lasted approximately four hours, thirty minutes applauded the crew during take-off and after the plane touched down in Lagos.

On arrival in Lagos, the flight was welcomed with water cannons which preceded a ceremony to welcome the historic flight.

I think u all are quite unfair to the police here.. Look at the countries u mentioned.. do they have the type of society we have here? Are their police not well paid, their police officers live fine while their politicians dont live extremely wealthy. Here, our leaders steal all the money and pay policemen poorly.

The countries u mention, their policemen have good life insurance, they are well kitted for operation, they have good equipment for operations. They are well protected but here, policemen live in dead barracks, they cant even afford to buy a decent car, they cant send their kids to good schools, they need to steal to live well. A SARS officer can be killed any day.. Each time they leave for work, it seems it is their last day. When they die, their families are abandoned. An average police man in nigeria can not build a house from a decent money, never.

This vintage car of HRH, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is reportedly owned by Nubar Gulbenkian. According to reports, Nubar Gulbenkian was an eccentric Armenian-British millionaire who was crazy about Rolls Royces. He had many custom made Rolls Royces (the Rolls Royce company was not always happy with the designs that he chose for his cars). This particular car was designed by Gulbenkian in 1952. It’s a Rolls Royce Silver Wraith, but its lights are different from any other Silver Wraith.
The Emir of Kano, Abdullahi Bayero (Emir from 1926-1953) bought the car shortly afterwards. Bayero died and the car was inherited by his successor, Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi I. The car was used to convey Queen Elizabeth II when she toured Northern Nigeria in 1956.

The car was also inherited by the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero and it has now been inherited by the current Emir, Muhammad Sanusi II. We went digging to see what makes this car a unique car and why is it that the royal family has refused to let go this car despite been used by 3 diffrent kings now. We did some reviews and what we found was amazing…
