And u think this country can ever be better than it is? The so-called leaders of tomorrow are already taking giant steps to further plunder limited resources and we all want a better tomorrow! People will keep quiet now and not go against all these anomalies them later they woll be complaining! There is actually no end in sight to all the utter rubbish going on in rhis country!!!

Why do some people talk like these? If u increase minimum wage to 100k, it will only drive higher an already over bloated inflation. If for any reason govt can even afford the minimum wage, what about the private sector that is already stifled due to hike in cost of operation?

Middle class has long fizzled out in Nigeria. You are either poor or rich! More than 85% of homes earn less than 200k (all income) these days. So where the middle class wan come from?

My take:
1. A lack of good job will definitely make u loose control in your relationship
2. Women worldwide knows that he who pays the piper dictate the tunes so they will control you as long as u do not contribute as much as they do in the home.
3. If as a man for any reason u earn less than ur partner, u have somewhat lost respect.
4. If at the beginning u were earning more and somehow by twist of faith she begins to earn more, same rule applies, u will still loose ur respect.
5. Women these days have equated submissiveness with u having to provide. If u no fit provide, then u have lost ur respect and dignity as a man!
6. Women are the same worldwide! If u think u will leave one because of the above reasons, I can tell u for free that u are a joker.

Dem don start! Some of these northerners like to whip up sentiments.
Without supporting tribalism, where was this guy when Buhari was sharing 5k to poor notherners in d name of supporting poor Nigerians. I remember many northerners came out then to confirm that they are beneficiaries but never read about a single southerner! Where were u then?
However, am not in support of sharing money to any Nigerian in d name of palliative or whatever. What govt should be concerned about is creating enabling environment to attract new investments and sustain existing investments through their policies!

These people are plenty on almost all social media platforms most especially WhatsApp and telegram groups requesting for bank details of grant seekers. They have asked me to fill more than then grant forms (google forms) online. We were promised millions of naira. According to them, UAAG Grant Disbursment will credit 75 million Nigerians with #5m each. In addition, each Cluster Head and NGO are promised N50m and N100m respectively.

What worries me is that you can only see this kind of information on social media but not on main media. Even here on Nairaland, information about such grant is scarce. Does any organization has financial capacity to give out such huge amount of money?

This na scam na! Don't let anybody deceive you, no NGO, will dole out such amount to a country that is supposedly very rich but impoverished by its leaders!

'Terrorists' in d house pls tell me o bco i feel the risk is too high, yet people join everyday. Yet they get kiilled.

I have worked in the ss side of the country for several years and I have seen first hand the rot in the area due to many factors ( bad governance, greed from indegines especially chieftains from the area, lack of education from the part of the indigenes etc) i have seen it all and I can conclude that it can only take God's intervention thru a God-sent leader to be able to correct the wrongs that has been done to these guys. As beautiful as Abuja is today, it was built with the resources gotten from that region so why cant that region be as beautiful as Abuja? Just a thought in my head! If these guys remain quiet, things will be like this forever and the people that comes from the region where the nation's wealth come from will remain in penury FOREVER!!!

Interesting write up! However, some people (men and/or women) grew up under one of the parents and they came out very disciplined. I know cases of these kind of people that either grew up with only the mum or only the dad and they came out well. However, we cannot separate the fact that the individual also wants to be a better person in life.
For a person like me, my mum was a 'crazy' disciplinarian but my dad was the meek type. However, I can say for a fact that I and my siblings came out disciplined, although we have different level of discipline but i know say our head correct. Non of us ever went astray!
Three of my siblings are now out of the country and two of us are here in Nigeria but non of us has ever had any form of brush with the law and this is all becos of what we learnt growing up!

This is an excellent write up of truth and experience! To say the least, I had a similar experience in my career which has placed me on a wring path in d last few years and trying to get back to the right path after that erroneous decision has been very very difficult to say the least! Also, I have kearnt my lessons and I know better now which is my guide now to making better decisions in future. However, in my case correcting that mistake is providing very difficult and to be honest, i would want to say I am stuck at the moment but I am not hopeless.
So I understand personally all that the op has said and I have also learnt from u!

To be honest with u bro, coming here may not help u much, u actually need to go to the hospital and the earlier the better. It could be malignant and that u need to deal with as early as possible so u can live a normal life.
And if it is not malignant, all well and good the professionals in d hospital will advise appropriately. Pls go to the hospital ASAP! Whether malignant or not it will cost u money to deal with but like I said the earlier you visit the hospital the better. I wish u the best.

Every introvert has some level/amount of extroverism in them. It now depends on if you want to develop it or leave it that way! I use to be a complete extrovert but all that changed when I go a job that makes me shout! If I decided that i wanted to remain an introvert at that time, i would have failed as a manager then. However, now i am a complete opposite of what I was then!

When u see a good girl, I don't think one needs a soothsayer to tell him. We met during youth servicce, she was different from every girl, we became friends. I started talking to her about dating after youth service, she would always decline. I will go and do my do and after a couple of months i will come back and ask her about that matter and she kept saying the same and that cycle continued for 3yrs until she probably realized that I was for real. And not surprising I met her intact, if u know what I mean. So was she not worth the wait?

What this state lacks is investment but the infrastructure there is topnotch! I see the same thing in Calabar too!
