Take heart pops. I still did not understand the trash they were saying. Yoruba language makes me sick down to my stomach.

Oga Minister,

Kindly let us leave powering of cars out of the equation for now, until we utilise those minerals you mentioned to power homes, offices, schools and factories etc

In other words, make we take care of the basics first.

Yours sincerely,

How can they finish all the money they earn in one 'swoop and still remits average of $24.3bn every year to Nigeria?

Maybe you need to be enlightened more about the quality of living standards in developed countries.

Now rape has become a hobby or a profession for Nigerian men.

Dear Nigerian men, please what is so so special about a minor's vagina?

And this is what you have to say? Every man on nairaland is a rape apologist. I'm not surprise.

As despicable, morally wrong and unlawful as rape is, it will be foolhardy to tag all men, be it Nigerians or otherwise, as rapists. Let us continue to condemn this abhorrent act and hold the culprits responsible.

Career / Re: How Women Are Locked Out Of Nigeria’s Construction Industry by Rubicon67(m): 9:20pm On Apr 26, 2021
The gender imbalances in the construction industry is not just peculiar to Nigeria. It is the same thing for the rest of the world. It is not totally correct to attribute these inadequate representation to discrimination because certain industries attract certain groups of people, possibly due to the nature, demands and sensitivity of the sector.

Coal mining sector for instance is mostly male dominated while health care sector can attractive to more females.

My opinion.

What Is wrong with we Nigerians having a healthy discussions and differences of opinion without resorting to name calling or derogatory remarks?

What is wrong with my reasoning? I am stating a fact and the fact is that whoever you are, you bow and courtesy when greeting the Queen of England... even Barack Obama had to do that.

Everyone bows or courtesy when they great the Queen. It doesn't make people lesser. Besides, the picture depicted them having conversations which would have been after the greeting.

The intention of the Governor is admirable. His efforts highly commendable. Other Governors should emulate laudable projects like this.

However, a beautiful infrastructure is only one factor that will make his aim and objectives achievable. Good and workable medical policies, well trained and highly remunerated medical professionals, world class Standard Operating Proceedures etc are some of the measures he should put in place.

That's shocking! Same Nigeria mentality manifesting abroad. I had the chance of relocating to London 2 years ago. but I turned it down when I discovered Nigerians are all over the place. What's the point of leaving Lagos for another Lagos Phase II (London). I think I will prefer white churches will still keeping in touch with few good Nigerians

London is a Cosmopolitan City with diverse nationalities and ethnic blends. Nigerians are just one of these groups of people.

Tagging London as Lagos Phase II doesn't make sense and you are way off mark, as they both have their unique identities. If you don't want to live in London, you can live in other Cities in the UK...and that could have it's pros and cons regarding integration and opportunities.

You mentioned Nigerian mentality, please don't join the group of people that will secure a 6 month visa and start bashing their country of origin and acting 'whiter than the whites', with manufactured foreign accents.

If you don't like a place, find another. Don't go bashing and basing your judgement on hearsay.
