Jobs/VacanciesRe: Previous Company Sued Me To Court After I Got Another Job With A Company. by Saladdin: 3:28pm On Jan 27, 2023
Asian companies are some of the most useless companies to work with. I almost sued my former employer too which was an Asian company.

You'll win this case convincingly. This will serve as a warning to them and their ilks wanting to enslave people.

If you work with them or any other company, never be afraid of any yeye non-compete agreement especially if it's unfair. They want to have the liberty to sack you, but want to deny you the same liberty to work wherever you wish.

I trust our judges, they'll fling such nonsense out of the court's door.

PoliticsRe: Mammoth Crowd Trooping In For Peter Obi Rally In Kaduna(picture) by Saladdin:
Kaduna Vote will most likely go this way even though I'm Dan Kwankwasiyya:

PRESIDENTIAL
Bola Tinubu (APC) 1st
Abubakar Atiku (PDP): 2nd
Rabiu Kwankwaso (NNPP): 3rd
Peter Obi (LP): 4th

GOVERNORSHIP
Uba Sani (APC): 1st
Isa Ashiru (PDP): 2nd
Jonathan Asake (LP): 3rd
Suleiman Hunkuyi (NNPP): 4th

Uba Sani has some of the vibes of El-Rufai and looks like someone ready to work. At presidential level, Tinubu and Atiku will really battle it out with very close margin. But don't be surprised if Atiku wins o. Kwankwaso will get his own 25% comfortably. But Obi cannot get the required 25%, the odds are totally against him. I'm open to debates!

I live in Keffi, I have lived in Jalingo, Makurdi, Lokoja etc. I can tell you with 100% certainty that Obi will win Benue, Taraba, Abuja, Plateau, Southern Kaduna and pretty much everywhere Christians dominate. You guys seem to have forgotten that northern Christians play religious politics and always vote any candidate the SS and SE massively supports. This election is going to be a referendum between christian votes going mainly to a single candidate (Obi) versus Muslim votes divided by there major candidates (Atiku, BAT and Kwankwaso), go and do your calculations and see whether a divided Muslim vote can win presidential election in Nigeria.
Since you have chosen to ignore the complex voting pattern that characterise Nigeria's political scene, I'll remind you of this post by Feb 26th, God's willing.

I have seen a ghost I don't know if it was a ghost or something else.
I remember then I was still in primary 4, I was sent away from school me and my girlfriend for school fees, on our way back she told me that she's tired that she want to take some rest.

Me I wasn't having it I told her I Will be going, the road where I was going to pass was a passage so i entered through it, Jesus Christ! I saw a woman as tall as a coconut tree even taller if am not mistaken, as soon as she saw me she started running and then vanish, I ran back to My Friend telling her what I saw but you know they say seen is believing so without seeing any proof she couldn't believe me at all, nobody even believe what I saw up till today not even My mum.
I believe you, and I'm being serious. Though a little clarification, what you saw was a Jinn/Genie, not a ghost. In the real sense of the word, ghosts do not exist. However, these Jinns are capable of taking a human for, and they are rarely seen in their true form. There are various species and classifications of them.

I'd love you and others—including the skeptics to explore these threads with the intention to learn, and you'll be blown away by what you'll encounter, including incidents similar to yours.

Note: Some extremely sensitive and classified info have been removed by some posters but you'll find it educative nonetheless.

I might contact you later to help set something up for me in Anambra there, I just remembered that you're already in the state. My experience farming there is ugly which is why I want to move to the southwest. Farm labourers are scarce, unserious and heartless. The only way to farm successfully there is to leave your city job and move into the rural areas to do it by yourself which is not feasible for me since I want a gradual transition to the rural areas for retirement. It's also difficult to get up to 5 acres in that state for integrated farming plus the fact that flooding is disturbing farming communities there continuously since 2012 nonstop. Land disputes is another problem as every community there seems to be in court over land dispute. Anambra offers best prices for farm products but their trouble is too much. Very expensive land prices is another matter.
Wow @ greenermodels, the east is certainly not the best place for commercial agriculture. Crazy land disputes and genuinely limited arable land.

Quick question please, how large and sustainable is the eastern market for veggies like, carrot, cucumber, greanbeans, garden eggs, strawberries etc.?

Thanks.

Where does the jinn get physical body to walk around with and interact with physical objects?
The Jinns in their original forms are ethereal creatures, but some of them have the ability to transform and take human forms. However, they prefer to execute their activities while unseen.

Be rest assured that they are all grouped racially, geographically and into other groupings similar to that of we Humans.

Christianity EtcRe: Is It True That Dead Bodies Wake Up At Night In Mortuary? by Saladdin:
Those involved in the 'death industry', you guys are really trying to be honest. cry

As regards the topic, if such stories are true, then it's obvious that a 'normal' corpse, waking and living as it has previously lived defies all scientific laws and cannot be possible. Something else is happening....

The corpse do not wake and live physical life anymore, rather, it's their Genie/Jinn (which everyone of us has and has been with us all our life till death) that take their form and continue 'living'.

These Jinn know, you in and out. It knows your deepest secrets, fear, vices and touch points that makes you happy. In essence, it can imitate you.

Hence, when you hear popular stories where someone who has died and is living in another place, know that it is this Jinn for a dead person can never come alive in that form, and not when everyone is not yet dead. Ghosts do not exist, it is this Jinn that takes on this form to make it seem so.

If you think this is wrong, I'm open to debates on this current topic, exorcism, necromancy, spirit spouses and death.

After taking in any consumable on the street and wanting to throw the wrapper away, you'll not be able to locate any dustbin around. This will force you to throw the wrapper on the bare ground. undecided

Before we castigate ourselves, the Government should first do their part by providing dustbin and efficient, regular disposal system. Thereafter you can heavily fine anyone flouting the law.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Share Your First Job Experience by Saladdin:
My first job experience was bitter and sweet, as I was exposed to the REAL human character in raw, negative form. And boy it was unpalatable. cry

SWEET in the sense that I got the job as a freshly minted graduate and earning way above lots of my contemporaries, with awesome allowances attached. Little did I know that I would be in for a shock.

BITTER in the sense that I lasted a little over one year because the ANIMAL FARM style reared its major head where some animals are more equal than the other.

I rose pretty fast and accomplished feats (2 actually) which none of my predecessors ever accomplished in the company. I was the least equipped in aspects of human and vehicular resources when we started out and was only attracting criticism from what is apparently no fault of mine, while the rest of my colleagues were given juicier roles, locations and adequate resources.

After a while, fortune turned around and it was clear that I was performing far above my colleagues in almost every way and this attracted the anger and envy of my immediate superiors especially when the Head of our unit praised me in front of them and everyone else. A setup went underway, and I was on my way out of the company, just few months to getting a promotion and bonuses.
I was out of the job and as they say "hunger, an empty pocket and a broken heart teaches the best lessons of life" those factors applied to me, and I learnt my lessons o.

LESSONS
1. Office politics is very real (wicked and envious people engage in it physically and spiritually), and it can turn real nasty if you don't want to indulge in it. I never engaged in it, and wanted to be the easy going fella everyone liked...naive me.

2. In Nigeria, nepotism, religious bigotry and tribalism are real factors that can aid or block your way in the corporate work. It could be very apparent or subtle, but it'll always exist a little somehow. Most of my senior colleagues in a particular region I came from were laid of for the same offense another set of senior colleagues from the dominant tribe in the company engaged in. Again, all animals are not equal.

3. Stereotypes are real! I was able to leave the whole company stupefied because they believed those from that part of the country cannot be that competent language wise and performance wise.

4. When a woman is your immediate boss, start counting your days in that organization especially if you're competent, not from her clique and not ready to kiss her ass. After change of Management, women dominated bulk of the juiciest position. The result was evident, sacking, sacking and more sacking of anyone (internal or external) who'll not do their bidding. Also a high staff turnover and disgruntled customers everywhere.

5. It's good to work for organizations with good structure and less vices, but you'll never go wrong if you venture out on your own, for peace of mind and prosperity. I've taken this advise myself and currently working on that.

Thanks...
PoliticsRe: See The 10 Largest Tribes In Nigeria!!! by Saladdin:
GeneralDitari:
I just searched this on the Internet and this was exactly how it is in all sites.

Largest Ethnic Groups In Nigeria

Rank Ethnic Group Share of Nigerian Population
1 Hausa 25.1%
2 Yoruba 21.0%
3 Igbo 18.0%
4 Ijaw 10.0%
5 Kanuri 4.0%
6 Fulani 3.9%
7 Ibibio 3.5%
8 Tiv 2.5%
* Other Groups 12%
SHARE
@ GeneralDitari, you tried, but the list is partly correct, while some info are outright inaccurate. That list was constructed in a lazy with politico-cultural undertones without considering factors like: geographical spread and dialects Traveling around the country or simply picking up a book or gleaning into authoritative websites should confirm that.

@ Numbers 2 & 3 are correct, but numbers 1,4,5,6,7 & 8 are highly exaggerated. The list seem to be confusing Northern Minority tribes with native Hausas just because they have adopted the language as their Lingua Franca. The Nupe, Gwari, Ebira and Igala tribes hold a really significant figure In Nigeria's population. Old history books and contemporary researched works confirm that.

At Best Native Hausas can't be more than 20% of Nigeria's population at most. If we are to consider only the real natives, I dare postulate that the Yorubas and Igbos have a larger population than the Hausas in Nigeria especially if we are to add their dialects.

The percentage given to the Ijaws and the Tivs are the most exaggerated. We obviously do not have 20million in Ijaws in Nigeria. shocked

The figure of the former (the Ijaws) was politically propped up courtesy of the Goodluck Jonathan factor. It'll be very hard to see such figures in books and scholarly articles. The only explanation is if Ijaws were grouped with the Urohbos, Kalabaris, Okrika and other South Southern minorities.

As for the Tivs, their figure is only believable if they were combined with the Idoma, Igede and the Etulo tribes to get that %.

That Wikipedia article on this needs to be updated.

The list should probably go like this:

1 Hausa 20%
2 Yoruba 20%
3 Igbo 20%
4 Kanuri 4.0%
5 Fulani 3.5%
6 Ibibio 2.5%
7 Gwari 2.5%
8 Nupe 2.0%
9 Tiv 2.0%
10 Efik 1.5%
11 Ebira 1.5%
12 Igala 1.5%
13 Ijaw 1.5%
13 Jukun 1.0%
14. Annang 1.0
14 Idoma 1.0%
15 Edo 1.0%
16 Urhobo 1.0%
17 Ikwerre 1.0%
18 Other Groups 11.5%

The above list might not be 100% accurate but it's still much more accurate than the one you pasted.

Recently, I've been hearing rumors of banks sharing the funds 50-50 with the beneficiaries.

For example, if you have 4m before the account was freezed, you will make a deal with the bank manager, and he'll give you 2m out of the money.

A friend who benefited, went to the bank last week, and was only told that his account will be unfreeze if he writes a letter to the bank stating why the account was freezed in the first place.

Although the account is still freezed, but he only had an over 200k in his account.

That was Kwankwaso question to Atiku when they traveled to Kano for campaign in 2019...

But guess what, Buhari beat Atiku in Kano.

So what do u have to say?
In order of relevance in Northwestern Nigeria
1. Buhari
2. Atiku
3. Kwankwaso

However, right now for example, if Buhari is to contest will not be a to pull a clean and convincing win save the rigging machine comes in, he has botched his records and the anti-sentiments against it is high. Coming to Atiku will find it extremely hard trump to trump Kwankwaso in Kano today.
PoliticsRe: Kwankwaso: Peter Obi Could Have Been My Vice President In NNPP by Saladdin:
A Kwankwaso/Obi Ticket could have been the best combo and the 'Third force' Nigeria needs. cry

They could have given both the APC and PDP the biggest headache with Kwankwaso doing considerable 'damage' in the North especially in the 'Kardashian' states and Obi with the South sentiment in his favor will probably snatch a State or two as a united force.

Kwankwaso (and his party) in a solo contest will pull more votes than Obi (and his party) in Northern Nigeria, that's the fact, let's drop sentiment aside! lipsrsealed

One-to-one, Atiku's PDP will sweep a number of states in the SE/SS, Kwankwaso will snag almost a quarter of NW and will give the APC and PDP significant headache in the NE while Obi's LP will not snag more than 2 states in the entire South, let's not even talk of the North. grin

Let's await last minute surprises...

Op @ Focwireless17,
There are quite a number of jobs and opportunities in Kano especially sales and marketing, but the salary might not be that much. Plus the Indians and Lebanese are out to enslave you if you're not careful.

On the side, are you good in trading, offering real services, or any valuable skill?

A little secret from me, once you have any of the above, with God's help, you'll make it BIG in Kano and never think of any job ever.

You see Lagos (and extension), Kano, Onitsha, Aba and to some extent Port Harcourt are some of the biggest place to hit it big in Nigeria (and West Africa). Abuja is included ONLY if you're great in packaging and/or have strong political connection, because it's not an organic city.

You have nothing to fear in Kano, as long as you're respectful, try to understand Hausa and blend into the society. Kano also has its fun side, trust me.

Kindly ignore some of the school children comments above, most might have just concluded JAMB and some haven't even gone beyond their State Capitals.

Cheers.
