tbaba1234: This is silly n untrue... come on!! Have you ever been to a saudi school or you read it from somewhere... I have many saudi friends n i guarantee that that is untrue.Ask for their textbook n search the internet. IT IS VERY TRUE! They are programming the children to hate |
nagoma: This is the latest ploy to ensure continuous disharmony and absence of peace between Muslims and christians. Whoever wrote this must be totally ignorant about the religions. It is a total requirement for a Muslim to believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) for that person to be a Muslim and he must respect and revere Jesus. Muslimas will be the first to fight who ever made a mockery of Jesus Christ.Moslems love Jesus and Moses but hate their followers? very absurd. Saudi Arabian textbooks are teaching eighth graders that "the apes are Jews, the people of the Sabbath; while the swine are the Christians, the infidels of the communion of Jesus" |
you call someone's scripture fake thereby insulting his faith, if he had insulted the quran well.... A religion that teaches fighting instead of peace making is "mature" am sure but that does not give you the right to insult someone else's. I was born abdulkadir the grandson of an imam but am no longer a muslim neither is any member of my family except my dad. That does not give me the right to insult what he has chosen to believe, the funny thing is my muslim friend about to write an exam called me and asked i pray for him. I am going to be insulted by muslims on this thread and i'll read it and smile because the truth is i care less about what any body thinks but my GOD and he says "make peace with all men" and i do just that.
Thank you my brother. Moslems have the monopoly of insulting every other person, but once an obscure person says aomething negative about their religion, it is not only that person that should suffer but their whole country, not even the perpetrators' country. Why destroy your own house to spite someone one million kilometres from you? They don't see it as anything. An American makes a rubbish film and Libyans bomb their own country over it as if the American govt commissioned the film. "My religion is a religion of peace. But if you don't believe, then I will kill you". |
taryour: Very very nice.. I realy hope and pray that all of the women on this forum learn from this and for thoes going tru same with hubby learn that divorce isnt the way out. I wish every woman a very happy and fufilled home....You must be a man! What would a woman learn? How to smile and hide the emptiness in her heart with a flashy car? Poster, your friend may have started on her revenge. She may have found a lover and is retaliating quietly |
The man was enjoying the attention he was receiving and when she stopped giving it, he changed his style. It is ok if all your friend wants is to be his legally married wife. Good thing too, that he agrees to using condoms with his wife. Some husbands won't. They will insist on killing both themselves and the wife. Now she expressly approves of his adultery and he showers her with gifts for accepting the role of a mother. She may soon accompany him to settle paternity issues involving him and the girls she sleeps with. Since you are her friend, tell her to get a job, if she doesn't have one. She shd also pour her love into her children, if she has some. Actually, she is not married. She is co-habiting. Unless TRUST is no more an element in marriage |
Please if you have other sexual partners, urge them to go for testing and pls do not think of spreading the virus because it might actually become your death since you could re-infect yourself with a harsher strain of the virus and compound your problem. Remember, ther is no need to blame yourself or anyone for this. It's just a disease and you can LIVE... Finally, bros, LIVE YOUR LIFE
The first part is the most useful advice I have seen on this thread. Many HIV positive folks embark on a revenge mission. They feel that if someone was wicked enough to give it to them, they have the moral right to infect as many people as possible before they die. The person who recommended a bleeping spree should pls read this. I don't really agree that he shouldn't blame himself. Part of maturity is accepting responsibility and mistakes. If you don't flog yourself for failing, then you aren't ready for a genuine change. He has to tell himself (and us if he can be that truthful) where he got it wrong. Was he part of the conspiracy theorists who felt it was a white man's imagination to limit the black's enjoyment of unlimited sex and irresponsible procreation? Was it a fling at a one-night stand? Part of coming to terms with what is happening to you is accepting that you are responsible for the actions you took and that actions breed consequences. Others have mentioned God. Of course you may have to ask Him to forgive if you contacted the disease thro sexual immorality. He demands your repentance for living your life in open violation of His law |
Psalm 23, I also followed ur IVF posts. It even rekindled in me hope for my sister who is ttc. No simple advice. I learnt from experience the SARAH cycle (Shock, Anger, Resentment, Resignation, Hope).I read this when I was hurting so much. It helped me a lot then and it might help you, too. If you are you tired of feeling like a victim, read this: 'I don't want to feel this way anymore. I thought if my pain touched their lives I'd feel better. I didn't. I thought by holding it over their heads I'd feel better. I didn't. I thought by telling everyone what they'd done to me I'd feel better. I didn't; it only cost me friends and kept the pain alive. I thought if they acknowledged how wrong they've been I'd feel better. They didn't, so I felt worse. I thought if I could understand why I pick such relationships I'd feel better. So I read books and talked with counsellors. But that didn't work, because then I uncovered other issues I didn't have the emotional energy to deal with. I thought time would make me feel better. It helped, but it didn't heal, because there were still too many things that triggered old memories. I thought by moving to a new house in a new city and getting a new job I'd feel better. I didn't; I only changed addresses, not what was going on inside me. Finally, I did two things that worked; not overnight, but gradually, patiently, consistently as I kept doing them, they worked. First, I decided to forgive - and keep forgiving until the past no longer controlled me. Second, I cried out to God, "Turn... me, and I shall be turned." He answered my prayer. My perceptions began to clear and my heart began to heal. Why? Because at last, getting well meant more, so much more to me than remaining a victim.' |

The poster who recommended polygamy is the greatest of the jokers. Imagine comparing a living, breathing, thinking human being to a pair of shoes! In his equation, the fate of two lovely children who have hitherto been enjoying uncompromised love from Dad doesn't matter. What matters more is the intensity of sexual feelings the man can get from love peddlers. The man's major problem is that he is cheating. That is the only reason he can dare compare a loving wife with the antics of girls who are not responsible to anybody. You recall the video in which some girls say you need at least 3 boyfriends? Now we know the married man who are tagged as "Expenses" on the girls' phonebook. Man, tell ur friend to wake up. He is dissipating energy and destroying his health and family chasing flimsy sex objects. Once he concentrates on his wife and children, he will feel the love and regard come back. Divorce? Not an option. The second marriage will be shorter than the first LOVE IS A LIVING THING> IT CAN BE ALLOWED TO GROW OR ALLOWED TO DIE. The choice is his |
ACM10: Congrats to DPO Chioma!what is wrong with her accessing IVF? Are the babies any less human? Congrats, my dear golden mother! |
oraclefemi: no matter how he pesters she should say no..i hope you're married otherwise when she comes here to say i am single and desperate on a new topic, you should be the first to comment. Religion has existed for so long and it is now that we are segregating ourselves and saying i can't do this with another human..does his religion make him evil? there are some terrible christians out there that will hide their characters and even your pastor will support the marriage ..then he starts showing his real self. fear go catch you. My eldest sister was actually in your shoes but she knew this guy as a friend for some years back and after many bad relationships with different christian guys whom my mom liked ...it never worked for her until this guy came from an old friend to the level that they fell in love..my mom went crazy( being a strong woman in rccg)she opposed it like a plague, even quoting the scriptures above but my sister was adamant and went ahead..got pregnant and had a kid for this muslim guy..now they are happy, the guy is really really nice and my mom now likes him but the deal they had was that she should allow her worship as a christian and not interfere which they agreed ...now they're so happy together and this guy even comes to camp with her and my mom..he says his prayers can get answered anywhere ....so poster don't allow some laws that were made without considering peoples emotions ruin your life !!How old is your sister's marriage? They LOOK happy together? Your sister is happy that her husband doesn't kneel and pray with her? I wish them lasting happiness but appearance can be deceitful, especially in marriage |
thomasonih: You need to sit with him and address the salient issues involved. What happens once the glams were offNo need! Even if he swears to her that she will be his only wife all his life, he can still exercise his fundamental human right to change his mind. Look for someone that shares your belief. Marriage has enough headache. Don't add Quran and Bible differences to an already challenging relationship |
@ redsun and pretty boi, marriage takes more than love. So she can't use her feelings ONLY as guide for her choice. Every marriage must have an emotional base, an economic base, an educational base. Else why won't you marry a truck pusher based on love alone? Secondly, women suffer in many marriages. She is often not considered as an equal party in the marriage. My dear sister, SHINE YOUR EYE before you jump into something that will be ur nightmare. A man wooing a woman is a very different person from the husband in the house. |
No loving mother would keep quiet and allow her daughter to enter a marriage with a wife beater. If she didn't know before the marriage, that is even a different matter. In my family, it is even enough reason to end an already contracted marriage because the man can easily replace a dead wife, but her family can't replace a dead daughter. Once a striker, always a striker. If a man can beat you twice when you are still answering your maiden name, what will he not do when you become his property. The pastor didn't need to prophesy. He just asked her to muster enough courage to break free from an abusive relationship before we hear her story for newsspapers. As for your question, no pastor predicts relationships for me. I don't even share some ops's definition of prophecy. A prophet teaches people the word of God and warns them about the evils of committing sin. That was what the prophets of the Bible were doing. |
freecocoa: And the OP's point is?I wonder! Were you paid to launder his image? If he is of God, leave him alone. One day, wheat will be separated from chaff |
Cleanman: Osogbo is a nice place!,so peaceful...ppl love and have high regards for each other..not a fan of politics bt i must point out that ogbeni Aregbesola is doing a great job..about the electricity,we have close to 24hrs non interrupted power supply(abeg no loud am).lolz, come visit if u have gud motive..@God bless the state of the virtuous.I like all that I hear about Osun but I still wonder why the incredible power supply does not translate to an entrepreneurial spirit. 90% of the taxi drivers in Port Harcourt are from Osun State. You can tell. They keep pronouncing Amaechi, the governor's name, as Amisi. Is there nothing else they can do beyond driving taxis? No local industries even with all the light? Government cannot do everything. Give Aba the light they have in Osogbo and you will see wonders. |
Leobreezy: Fortunately i havn't made any nuptial vows yet. Ladies and Gents, marriage is nt meant 2 update ur facebook relationship status, it is a life long vow u will make 2 be with ur spouse TIL DEATH DO YOU PART. It petrifies me 2 see young beautiful girls breeze into marriage and after 2 yrs dey end up looking like they have pellagra due to marital problems. I will address d ladies bcuz dis issue is predominant in d fairer sex. If u want 2 get married MAINLY bcuz u think u're getting old, den my dear ur definitely nt ready 4 marriage. Age is nt d reason 2 get married, LOVE is. Unfortunately our primitive african ideology doesn't support dat, bt dat should'nt intimidate u. And most importantly shun arranged marriage. That is d main reason why we have broken homes today. If u knw nothing about him then DON'T GET MARRIED. I'm nt just talking about his family and what he does for a living, i mean his nature, attitude, character and orientation. What is courtship for?! U put urself and ur unborn progeny @ risk of living an unhappy life. Dats my advice sha.You haven't married and you are here advising? More like a reverend father doing marriage counselling. Instead of contributing on what you haven't experienced, you should just look and learn. Just my advice! Who says age is not a factor in marriage? The ladies who marry at a later age are often the ones who make commitments to make the marriage last. Who says that courtship guarantees a successful marriage? You can never know anybody well enough during courtship. The dynamics of the relationship also changes once it is called a marriage. How do I know all these? I have been in an imperfect but happy marriage for more than 20 years |
preciousmee: As there ever been a time in your marriage that you felt you could have been a little patient with your decision to marry your husband or wife?HAS not As! Regret marrying my spouse? Not at all. It is the best decision I ever took |
kingoflag: Riiiiggggghhhhtttt..... Like the Elections happened 50 years ago and everyone who lived through it is now dead or has amnesia. You're talking about the same Buhari that GEJ and co were censoring his campaign ads and making sure he didn't get to the masses through the media? Or the Buhari that GEJ was looking for a way to rope in and proclaim a terrorist like he did Dokpesi and IBB? Truth is GEJ was at fault from jump. From playing "Tag" and "Chicken" with his foes while using Bombs as toys to the disseminating of false info against his adversaries.....Then the North must be one of the most tolerant races in the universe! They are so good that they and their leaders will keep mum while a sitting president sacks their towns and villages with bombs and mars their political reputation! If GEJ was the sponsor of BH, how come they are still asking their financier to convert to Islam? Your argument, is to say the least, ridiculous. BH knows who pays them. Some of the ex-terrorists who converted to the Christian faith have also told who was paying them |
obadiah777: just make sure that while you are doing good, you are also deep in the scriptures ( you glorify God by reading the scriptures cuz the lord says you have to study to show yourself approved by him and that those who do not seek knowledge of him he will reject ), so basically if you are doing all your good while you are not in the scriptures, it just a waste of time. you may as well be one of the bad people. works without faith is pointless. so dont be trying to be good alone and expecting rewards. you gotta back up your goodness with the knowledge of God ( and i dont mean going to church cuz churches are houses of evil )Churches are houses of evil? Really? What gave you this horrible notion? I don't know the church you went that gave you such a conclusion. Churches are houses of prayer. @vivian, you sound cocky even in your feeling that you are good. Unfortunately, you are not even born again. It would have helped to clarify your goals. There is no ultimate thing to which you are aspring and so you settle for the appreciation or recognition of those you helped. You think you would have become rich by stealing in your place of work? What if you were caught in your first attempt? You would have been in prison now. Run away from evil, even though there is no heaven to gain or hell to avoid. |
@nagoma, do you live in Nigeria? I doubt it. Let me inform you that your hero, Buhari, had threatened that Nigeria would be ungovernable if he didn"t win 2011 election. Thanks for your insults, though. I took it as a huge compliment that you read my post! But please, do work on your spellings so that you can pass WASC in your fifth attempt next year. |
Buhari is right in saying that they did not predict that the security situation will get out of hand. He who had promised to make Nigeria ungovernable had imagined that BH activities would have ground Nigeria to a standstill and forced GEJ to resign. Unfortunately, it is mostly the North that has lost economically and politically. I don't imagine anybody from the SS, SE, SW and NC voting a core Northern candidate for President unless they put a gun to their heads. People are still hurting from the losses they incurred from BH. Those who say Buhari is well-meaning must be living in a different country. What did he do when youth corpers were slaughtered cos he lost an election? Why did he not condemn bh till now? |
Must be my Yorubaness that makes me think all religion are crap. I tolerate them equally ![]() I heard that in Igboland, it's a taboo to be anything other than Christian. They IGNORANTLY believe that a uniformed religion breeds peace.
Typical! You conclude for people without knowing anything about them and attribute what works for them as IGNORANCE and yet you think you are tolerant. You must be supremely WISE He who stands for nothing falls for anything. What if religion isn't really crap? What if the Christian God actually actually sends non-believers in His son to a place of eternal torment? That you think is crap is immaterial. What if you discover that you are wrong? What if you realise it too late? |
I can't believe this is even up for discussion. I mean isn't it a given that the Yorubas are more tolerant and not just in religion. They have a healthy respect for other people's culture too. The Yorubas have a live and let live attitude about life and it is because they are so secure in who they are, there is no fear about the other person. . .culture, religion, tribe trying to ride over them. Unfortunately this is also their undoing because it makes them come off as wishy washy and "cultureless" to those who believe strongly that anything outside their tribe is subpar.
I agree wholeheartedly with you. Yorubas worship Mary and Yemoja in Brazil, worship Christ and Sango, too. The Pentecostals among them keep flitting from one church to the other. They attend Redeemed in the morning, go for MFM in the evening and visit a babalawo on saturday. I don't know if this reps enlightenment or security as some people say or just toeing a path of least resistance. But it soemtimes makes them appear less reliable and a tiny bit hypocritical |
montero4relo: swimming in the dream Depict Initiation into the mammy spiritAnd your source for all these interpretation is....? Definitely, not the Bible I also carry. God spoke to people in times past through dreams and visions I know. Even then, "A dream cometh through the multitude of business" Eccl 5: 3 People cage themselves with teachings that have no scriptural base whatsoever. Having sex in a dream is perfectly normal for males who have wet dreams. A woman who desired sex but her husband wasn't available can dream where she was having her desires in a dream. After a lively party in which food and drink was plenty, what can be more normal than dreaming where such is happening. We should beware of fanaticism. Don't add to the Bible and allow fake faith dealers to make merchandise of you. Compare any dream with the Bible |
jaybee: Sorry sir, there are no fake members of BH. one can are either be a member or not. BH may have a very loose entry but the exit is tight. they have intelligence barometers that monitor the reliability of their members, especially the new (suspicious) ones and that determines their live or death on the earth. its not that easy to infiltrate BH using splinter cells. there will be war in which case the ability of our security agencies to protect the splinter group is in doubt. How do you know that there are no fake BH? If you know the real ones, why don't you expose them? If the leaders you mentioned have no hands in the menace, they could at least condemn it the way others are doing. Silence means consent.Silence means tacit approval. Instead of condemning, the Northern elite struggles to link it with poverty and marginalization. Are these leaders scared of being attacked? Let them continue. I don't know how a group can keep silent and watch their economy, culture, political credibility and even their life and that of their would-be voters go down the drain just to spite the person ruling. I really and truly do not understand. |
seedord247: You sound like your username and we all know that salt is bitter when u taste it raw so i dont expect anything good from u.On the contrary, salt sweetens food. You are right, though. Don't take it raw, the way you do with your religion. It leaves bitterness. Whatever Islam claims as achievement should not include enhancing women's status and advancing world peace. Islam is a male-dominated religion with a male reward system. Else, why the furore about women wanting to earn a decent income? |
seedord247: If nigeria can be like saudi arabia. Our girls wont be stealing BB and also selling their bodies to buy brazilian hair. Not at all. They would have been married off at 13 to an ancient man who already has 3 other suffering ladies. At 14 with their first pregnancy, they would have had VVF and be trekking to kaduna to get medical treatment. To steal BB and buy brazillian hair, you need an education to know what these things look like. But these your lovely girls are in a paradise of illiteracy, wife-battery and honour-killings. And unfortunately, if they die for the cause, they can"t even get 72 virgin angels and drink alcohol from the river. A muslim woman is the most favoured person on earth! |
kandiikane: Na wa for you oo. Why not use your brain. No need to smell yours. The one from the woman I shook her hand (right hand, mind you) has haunted me since then. I now courtesy to them and leave. That is, leave with the poo smell on their clothes still reaching me. how can you touch poo, even if its your own, with your bare hands. Oh, in the water-washing homes, there is usually no tissue. So it is straight from the toilet reeking on poo in both hands and clothing, to the food pot. That your parents taught you that doesn't make it hygienic or healthy. Death rate was so high because of unhygienic activities like this. not everything done by our parents was right. |

Can your friendship sustain it. In what religion what the children be raised. i cant think of any other one right now aside the above but would update later.
