I love my husband dearly, but in my opinion, he is wrong about so many things. Not because he actually is wrong – he is right more often than I love to admit – but because his way is not my way. If you know the Myers-Briggs Types, he is an ESTJ and I am an INFP, and if you are unfamiliar with these letters, it doesn’t matter. All you really need to know to understand where I am coming from is that there are only two choices for each of the four spots, and as you can see, my husband and I have not one in common. My husband and I knew at the beginning of our relationship that our souls were made of divergent qualities, but we both had Christ. We figured that would be enough to smooth out our dueling opinions, preferred modes of operation, and warring habits when the honeymoon period wore off. Of course, we thought, God would enable us to be patient, sacrificial, and understanding, and we figured that would make all the difference when it came to compatibility. That would have certainly been true if we had known how to follow God perfectly, but we didn’t. We still don’t, but things have changed for the better. Our marriage has been a blessing to us both, not in spite of our opposing characteristics, but often because of their complementation. It just took forgiveness after fights weighted with sin, counseling (a mediator), and a couple years to figure it out. I have known Sammy (not real name) since I was in SS3. We became friends during our JAMB tutorials. He was a very fine and bright guy. I think that was when I also developed a crush for him. Sammy was from a well brought up home. Even though girls in our tutorials liked to flock around him,he was a decent human being and would not get into any relationship. Sammy was all about his education. You see, Sammy was raised by a single mother. Things were tough for them so he knew early he needed to be focused to be able to make it. We clicked cos I liked further Maths just like him. We studied together and we were both rewarded for our hard work: we got admitted to study engineering (me) and medicine(sammy) after we passed JAMB. We went to different Universities but we remained in touch. We were best friends. All these years,even tough we remained in touch,I never told Sammy I had a crush on him. Fast forward to present time. Everyone know us as friends. People teased us that we were more like husband and wife but we always told them no…we were not,we were just best friends. So Sammy got married in February this year and I told myself it was over. The crush would die with me. He would never know. I love Sammy and his wife whom I know well. They also know my fiance. We both attended their wedding. It was a lovely wedding. However,they were having problems right from the next day after the wedding. It turns out that Sammy’s wife was really not the person she was when they were dating. For whatever reason,they were always fighting and it was very depressing for Sammy as he would call me to tell me he does not know what happened. One minute they were in love ..next,not so much. It was like they could not stand each other. Both of them would call me and complain until I got tired of listening to their problems. I work in a company as a Front Office Executive and I liked one of my supervisors very well. His name is Trey (not real name). I loved him I think. But he was married but that did not stop me from flirting with him.I just wanted him to give the green light and I was ready to be down with him. Hello, Please this is urgent! My best friend is on the verge of committing suicide, we are both 500L Medical students in one of the universities in the east. Okay, it goes like this: About 3 months ago, she came to me and told me about how she fell in love with one of our lecturers, a Muslim. I was shocked, fiam fiam she had given her virginity to the man because of what God knows. Yes , he is our lecturer but he doesn’t teach our level, he majors in 300l and 400l students. Dear Jzhane, Please hide my identity. I have been married for about four years and my husband has a side chick,if not side chicks. I found out shortly after we got married that the rumors I was hearing were all true. Yes,I heard rumors that he was cheating while we dated for almost two years but he continued to deny all and I did not have any concrete evidence. Plus I loved him and so I married him. For the last four years,I have seen how bad his cheating can be and have confronted him several times and even threatened to quit the marriage. Good day, I want to share my story,please keep me anonymous. I broke up with someone that I was in a relationship for almost two years. The relationship was the best I ever had. I think I am still in love with this lady but something happened that made me leave. And that has made me to have trust issues with ladies and I am finding it hard to trust even as I try new relationships. Dupe (not real name) and I knew each other since 2016. We met during NYSC. I love that she was a homely and godly girl. After service year,I got a job but Dupe could not find a job for almost one year. So,I got her some money and she started a buying and selling business. I liked how industrious she was. She started an online business too. She would deliver orders to customers at their homes or offices. Early this year,she made a delivery to a man and claimed that the man ended up raping her. I was livid and wanted to report the matter to the police but she said she did not want this to come out cos of the shame and stigma. I tried to convince her but she would not bulge.She begged me to let things be. I then asked her to tell me who the man was,she initially did not want to but maybe cause she did not want me to be suspicious,she told me but made me promise not to do anything about it. God knows,no man will hear that his wife to be got violated and will do nothing about it. I tracked the man down and confronted him. He laughed and told me he never forced my girl. That it was a mutual agreement. He told her he liked her and before he could buy stuff from her,he wanted to sleep with her. At first,she resisted but he made her a handsome offer and she finally agreed. I told him he was a liar and I would deal with him but he said,go and ask your LovePeddler girlfriend to tell you the truth. Now,this whole revelation was very hard on me. Here I was,dating this lady for two years with no s*x cos we wanted to wait until marriage and here someone else is claiming she willingly gave it to him? I could not take it and I asked her. Of course,she denied it. I then asked her to let us report to the police to prove her innocence but still she refused. She refused on the grounds of the shame and stigma of being known as a rape victim. She said,my family would also find out and hate her. I know it will be hard if people find out the truth but I did not care,I just wanted justice for her and wanted to make sure she was not lying. Hello Lively Stones, My fiancee and I had an argument about a month ago. Actually,we have been having issues. Mainly because I think she is too materialistic. She has a different opinion on that. The argument became heated and we both felt that we our values were not compatible and I decided we call it quits. She cried and begged and promised to change. But I have heard that several times before. My intention was that,the break up would make her reflect on her lifestyle and push her to make a definite change for the better.I did not speak to her for three weeks. It was hard on me cos I love her to the bone. She called and texted but I did not respond. I wanted to teach her a lesson. Three weeks after. I went to see her. She was happy to see me. We talked and I told her I was sorry we broke up and I wanted us to be back together. She was so happy. I was happy too. Then she said,she had something to tell me before we got back together. Good Evening ma, Please help me. I am in trouble. I am an ardent reader of Lively stones on Facebook. My name is Maureen.(Not real name).I have been through so many problems in my life,I do not know where to start from. I do not have a good relationship with my mother and my father is late. About 12 years ago,I got married to my husband who is 13 years older than me. Right from the day I stepped into his house,his family never liked me. Initially, his brothers and sisters were living with him and they were very controlling and my husband used to listen to them more than me.
