You can't supposedly make a payment from a frozen asset. It's like owing and then the bank, CBN or EFCC had already frozen your account but then you tell your debtor "I have the money but can't touch it because it is frozen. However, I have written a cheque, now it is up to the CBN or EFCC (to unfreeze my account in order for my debt to be made) and they should be held responsible if my debt is not cleared." I don't understand how these Russians think or do things. |
This interview is old! It happened a long time ago and the video is scattered on social media platforms. |
Something similar happened years back. An elder from my church gave his daughter to a JW fine chap and she almost passed away during labour owing to complications. The doctors informed the man he needed to go and buy blood to keep her alive, Oga said it was against his faith. Fortunately for the elder, one of the doctors know him personally so he called him and told him of the development over the phone. Elder stormed the hospital late in the night in a short, and in the company of his wife, some of their children and some church members. JW chap received multiple slaps that night but still insisted transfusion would not happen as they were married. Elder ordered one of his sons to get blood on credit in the hospital blood Bank. Luckily, the doctor's note to the bank saved the lady. JW chap thanked his god later, claiming it willed him to have kept her alive. Elder took his daughter and grandchild home, and told JW's family that they were no longer interested in the marriage and that it was off. |
Ishilove:He is. I am actually more afraid of what he could do to ladies/women he has issues with, judging by the way he described his mother with those terrible words. |
This sums up why you open threads night and day to peddle your misogyny, run down women and call them unprintable names. If the mother who gave birth to you can be branded with those ugly adjectives, then other women around won't definitely be spared. |
qtguru:This is not just contact list. We are talking doxxing on a criminal level and invasive privacy. If Apple or Google PlayStore fails to listen to the government, the FG will simply direct Pantami to instruct all telecommunication companies to block access to the app stores. The Nigerian government is not that wise and calculative to understand diplomacy. Apple and Google will listen without a doubt. As useless and incompetent as our government might be, this is a government's request. It is different from "help me unblock this phone, we want to see what is on it." |
qtguru:They are two different things. That is a breach of the Apple product since privacy issues are big deal to them. What the loan apps do also violates user policy in the worst possible way. They will be taken off of those stores. Their operations are already barred in the country and it would be worse for them to go after defaulters like they used to, that is if at all they remain adamant. |
Czario:The eNaira initiative is dead already. I believe this move is not about the eNaira. |
Splitmind:Kuda is licensed and uses a micro-finance bank license approved and issued by the CBN. Funds are insured by the NDIC. I believe the article is referring to most of the Chinese loan apps with one million names who are in the business of either threatening or labelling loan defaulters criminals and doxxing them in the process. Some of the Indigenous loan apps operate on a micro finance license since they do not have the requirement needed to use a conventional bank license. |
Betterprospect:If you can, by all means resign and start as soon as possible. There will be fear and some little doubts when the move seems bold but you'll be fine. All the best. |
cucumbar:Even better. I don't operate in the field but you can start easy and up the difficulty level as you proceed. I know Programming in Python works for data scientists. Learning on your own here can work but it is difficult landing a job without certifications and accreditations to back up the skill set claim. I don't know if there is a way around it but if there are popular certifications online that are recognised, then that might just be all you need to go. Almost every tech aspect requires certification if you are to be taken seriously though. |
Betterprospect:Two million might be enough to sustain you for a year and half if you want to pursue a career in tech, only possibly if you are a minimalist and not banking on paying rent from that money. Say feeding, data and a few other things, but definitely not rent. Now my dilemma is:I switched from telecommunication to tech at 30+ and I do not regret it one bit. You are not old at 30. Some say life begins when you have an awakening, be at 40, 50 or 70. The question is whether or not you are ready to chase your dream. 2. Knowing that 2 million is small and would not last long. Does is it make sense to just up and leave?Answer these questions, not necessarily publicly: 1. What part of tech are you eyeing? 2. Do you have a good laptop (as I know every part of tech requires one)? 3. How cheap or expensive is your rent? If you take out your rent from N2m, what is left? 4. Take out a data budget for a year and see how much is left. 5. Calculate your feeding on a monthly basis, multiply by 18 months and see what is left. 6. You need to set aside some money for emergencies. How much are you willing to spare? 7. How much do you spend on utilities monthly (electricity, waste, gas and water)? 8. If the answer to your number 2 is no, find out if whatever is left can afford a decent laptop that won't freeze or crash while you learn your new tech skill. 9. Finally, can your side hustle run conveniently even when you learn your tech skill? 3. I have a small biz I ideal which I feel could give me close to 50k monthly, but thing is, this is Nigeria and I might be wrong. This isn't exactly bad. If you don't womanize, club and party hard, just learn idea of stocking up monthly. Go minimal. Don't eat out. Always cook. 4. Should I just suck it up and continue for another year or two? Everyone I asked seems to think I should. You could. Or not... Note that picking up a tech skill doesn't mean you will get a job next month. Depending on the skill and how fast you learn, you might not be able to successfully get a job until you learn the ropes, not fully but decently. I'd say 18 months, if you are a fast learner. Say the basic role in the industry. PS: DON'T PAY FOR TECH SKILL! If someone has told you to pay to learn, depending on the area, there are tons of resource materials, YouTube channels and resource websites that you can leverage on to up your tech skills. |
Zordgrub:Major suspect: kidney failure. |
SarkinYarki:CIA agent during war? Unbelievable! |
kingscare1:It all started when he had vitiligo, and not with the fire. |
I pay close to $40 monthly on Interserver and I'm supposed to do what now? Why is Nigeria bent on frustrating people ![]()

Spend limit on international spend now $20! Isn't this trouble for people who spend on ads and Web related services monthly? Cc Lalasticlala Dominique

We4all:Perfect on social media. The problem isn't the publicity of their marriage on social media but a typical representation of what applies with most African (specifically) Nigerian women who marry either a white man or an African or Nigerian man who then takes them abroad. The tendency to use family against the man will always be there, the moment they learn the society throws all to the woman in the case of a divorce. I mean, you blackmail the man you're married to with his family, shush him up because you believe the society gives credence to your voice more and then threaten him (possibly with the fact that you can make render him penniless and useless). Although, Korra's husband didn't exactly give details but the above captures what plays out time and time again. For some African men, they would unfortunately kill her and then call police on themselves. Oh, by the way... Add cheating to that of Korra Obidi. And for social media marriages/relationships. What no one tells you is that one person obviously suffers/feel neglected while the other loves the spotlight. It has always been that way and it won't change anytime soon. |

I was really moved by the story and was almost going to tag some ladies I am familiar with on the forum to help verify before helping out only to see Dominique's post. Toh. |
Athemisia:Why was he fired twice? Why was he fired in Milan? Why was he fired by Everton? Why was he fired by Juventus? Why was he fired by PSG? Why was he fired by Chelsea? Why was he fired by Bayern Munich? Answer and let's have a proper football discussion. |
betshopagent:ANY English opposition? Interesting. |
einsteine:He's been hired up times in Madrid alone. Hired by common Everton but fired. Everton that doesn't have the trophy mindset, just play in the EPL every season. Go do your research on why he was fired twice in Madrid and why he was fired in Everton, Milan and other clubs he managed then come back and let's talk football. |
pmc01:We were having injury issues and managing the squad. Like Ancelotti, Zidane had issues with Bale and would never start him. We need the cohesion but playing lots of games also mean we need to rotate. At the time we were taken out by Chelsea, we had deep injury issues and it got worse even after that. Given the quality of players Zidane wanted, I believe he'll make the best use of the team both first and second if they were available. |
pmc01:Bruh! You sabi football. It's too worrisome seeing that he is mentally lazy to rest players. Bale is fit, Hazard is fit, Camavinga is fresh, Valverde did well today but trust him to ignore them all and start Kroos, Modric, Benzema, Vini and Casemiro in our next game. |
pmc01:You get?! I don't consider him to be the ideal coach for Real Madrid. He is better off coaching clubs like Arsenal and Everton who have no obligation to win a trophy in a season. Unfortunately, there are not much top level coaches in the world. Most of them are already declining even. It's sad. I hope we get Zidane to come back at some point. |
betshopagent: Reference:I think it was the injury. He barely rests and Ancelotti is notorious for overusing the first team. There are good players begging to be used but he keeps on using the same team week in, week out. Kroos is still one of the best midfielders on the planet and he needs occasional rest, just as with the other players. |
'Messi is old.' For anyone who cares to know, this was Ronaldo at 34.
|
fergie001:Did his job for substitutions? Vazquez is the only person who can match Mbappe, at least to an extent on the wing. What took PSG out wasn't those goals. It was inexperience and their inability to stay composed. Everyone saw through the charade of our lineup and it would have been worse if we were playing a Bayern side. Rodrygo over Asensio anytime, any day. We would have been punished with our lineup easily. Starting Kroos was hurting the team because the midfield wasn't ours initially. There is the strength of Camavinga, though young and even Hazard. Valverde has been unused for eons only to be used today. Ancelotti is a mid-level coach, unfit to coach a club like Real Madrid where there is the pressure to win every game, maintain balance in the team and win trophies. |
AZeD1:Have you ever been into a market where foreigners entered? If no, I have witnessed one. A foriegner from The Netherlands warded off competition totally and EVERY farmer (in this case, fish farmers) stopped selling to local buyers. This is not actually a SIM CARD COMPARISON. |
fergie001:Please don't mention Ancelotti! Asensio had no reason to play in the first place. He can't track back like Rodrygo. Kroos wasn't 100% fit but Ancelotti used him in a crucial match as this. Casemiro wasn't on the field, we needed a strong midfield but an injured Kroos was squeezed in. If anything, Ancelotti did what most Madrid fans suggested he did at the start of the game. We were only lucky not to have conceded 2 before they came on. |
MALIGNANTGuest:ALL the more reason Ronaldo is better than Messi! Messi bottled a penalty as usual in the first leg. He could have passed it on to Mbappe but he so wanted to score. Messi is old? Modric is older and guess who bottled him today? A 36-year old midfielder! Ronaldo will never be in a team and have the team comeback in that manner. It can never be Ronaldo. Ronaldo is older than Messi, has switched clubs 4 times and has been at his best that many thought switching is beans. Messi moved from Barcelona to a Farmer's League and he is suddenly old. Let's call a fraud a fraud.
