E don happen. A house further divided against itself... |
Chai! Imagine the structure!! EFCC's passion of recent is alarming. Like they died all these years . I expect some "emotional" folks to surface soonest and cry over how PMB is hunting their people. |
Mhizkel:Features like 'intelligence'? Because last I checked, most of these girls walk half unclad almost all through the competition. I'm sure we have 'more' beautiful people with more brains. It's not like they're going for one common entrance at the global stage. She's okay in her own way, but as the MBGN? Nah... |
CharleyCharley:He would HAVE. But the involvement of the Former First Lady and the killings during the last election have tipped the scale against him. Surprisingly, Dakuku and the APC played an "Emotional Game" with the people by "grieving" the dead in an inspiring campaign. Wike seems to have lost this one. The many defections of power houses in the state also calls for concern. I don't see Wike returning. |
I'm not judging though, but what sort of woman would "manage" to sleep with five different men before getting married in her short life ![]() |
Wike's attempt at hanging on to any material that could keep him afloat is laughable. Why's he wasting unnecessary monies to set up groups at this deciding minute? Last last, these guys would collect their monies for fulfilling their part of the deal and then Wike will look forward to a rerun. Funny man. |
How they pick the eventual winner of the MBGN, I don't understand. So that's the most beautiful girl in Nigeria? Hian! |
Whoever helped this lady in concocting the vegies she gave Ice Prince to eat deserves global recognition! On a more serious note, I think there's more to the story than what the pained married man claimed. Ice Prince seems to know the truth, good for him. |
thepain:Honestly, I never for once dreamt someone would bring 'David Aje's' case to Nairaland. I worked with him from November 2014 - 2015. He'd send me four topics per day to write on and I would do so. This continued for long, when it was close to reaching my quota of articles for the month, communications seized. He however brought up a story of "we're working on the website, please halt writings for now". The "workings" lasted over three months with no communication. I called him afterwards asking what happened, only for him to tell me he lost his fiance. I actually thought it was something fresh, only for him to tell me it's been a while. He again promised I'll start working shortly, it was late 2014 by this time. He called about a week after and I continued. For me, it was never about the money but for the fact that I loved to write. Being a freelance writer/journalist, passion first, money later. Regardless, I started again without being paid, though my quota was closer than ever. What I was supposed to complete in a month lasted a year. He would not reach me for about three days and then arise from the blues all of a sudden. We had no issues but it was surprising to see that the work was erratic. And then it stopped finally. Till date, I believe David Aje of 'soccerfanbase' is still owing me even though the quota was never completed. I was able to guess his behavior was because he never wanted me to reach my quota in the first place. It's really surprising that a lot if persons have been webbed by him. I would have brought this forward before some persons did but I don't enjoy bringing issues to social media to be sorted, but since I was called out, I have been left with no choice. David Aje, while someone like me may not bother about the money again, please put an end to your fraudulent acts. All articles I wrote for your blog are still on my PC as proofs. PS: To all writers here, if you are hell bent on making money from writing, please stay away from soccerfanbase and its owner. Seun, Lalasticlala and Mynd44, please do not delete or lock this thread. This is fraud at play. |
It's quite funny this topic is coming at this time. However, I believe it is never too late to set right the wrong, particularly a question many people ask without realising the intent. The desire to refer to The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) members as "REDEEMERS" is one that is not only wrong but could be seen as a "sin" in a way. Perhaps the coinage is borne out of the 'automatic' "er" that is added to someone's belief, part of an organization or a movement. For example, a registered, frequent user of Nairaland is known with a name by adding adding the suffix "+er" to realise "Nairalander". This same method should not be used for believers who are part of the RCCG and should in no way be referred to as 'Redeemers". ARE YOU A REDEEMER? I have heard people ask me this particular question for well over 10 years now, and it seems the more I try to correct the notion that a human cannot be termed a redeemer (from Christian's perspective), the more people don't seem to understand. I am a redeemed; someone that has been saved. This explains the "Redeemed" in the denomination's name. WHO IS A REDEEMER? AS FAR AS CHRISTIANITY IS CONCERNED, Jesus is referred to as THE Redeemer. This refers to the salvation he is believed to have accomplished, and is based on the metaphor of redemption, or "buying back". Although the Gospels do not use the title "Redeemer", the word "redemption" is used in several of Paul's letters. The English word redemption means 'repurchase' or 'buy back', and in the Old Testament referred to the ransom of slaves (Exodus 21: . In the New Testament the redemption word group is used to refer both to deliverance from sin and freedom from captivity. While a member of Four Square Gospel Church could be called "Foursquarian" comfortably, and a member of Winners Chapel could be referred to as a "Winner" (who isn't? ), the "known" name fixed to RCCG members over the years (Redeemers) should be done away with. It is one of the names of Christ.Cc OAM4J Lalasticlala |
Dklef:Enugu is indeed nice. Its electricity is second to none. Where I am here, I can boast of 23hours everyday. However, some basic things are luxurious here; food items are somewhat expensive and water is a huge luxury. You cannot afford to waste water. You must measure what you use, lest you run out of it. |
prettyprecy:Please stop being bitter. Enugu is not overhyped. As a matter of fact, most people don't know about its beauty and splendour. Enugu, alongside other SEastern states may not be as viable economically as the SW, it still doesn't take away the fact that some parts of Enugu is well developed. |
Akaujaa:Garriki-Akwunanaw, Amechi, et al, are just rowdy places and almost near average. The true highlight of Enugu is in Enugu North and some part of Enugu South such as Uwani. |
Dklef:"042" is the state's code number. |
jstbeinhonest:You're so right. Enugu state is indeed the pride of the SE. I was in Enugu North sometimes back and my jaw dropped. If I hadn't lived in Lagos all my life, I'd have probably taken off my footwear that cozy evening. PS: I don't know how they did it, it seems the Shoprite in Enugu is the biggest I have seen so far. Far bigger than the ones in Lagos. |
Kgdavid:No! Armed robbers do not use tazers. But let's be frank with ourselves, other than the heavy attacks some robbers executed towards banks and other organisations, you hardly hear of robbers killing people unnecessarily, unlike Nigerian policemen who delight in shooting at whatever questions why their shoes are dusty. In my opinion, ONLY SPECIAL police groups, such as criminal depts and crime busting department groups should be allowed to walk the streets with guns. Just like Christiane Amanpour of CNN said sometimes ago while interviewing the immediate past President of Nigeria, "reports have shown that uniformed men have killed people in the past one year than the Boko Haram group". Question is, has it changed ever since then? NO! |
gamaliel121:It is, trust me. Nigerians have this weird mentality of submitting to the police, either guilty or not, and also find out how many Nigerian policemen has ever shot anyone from a long range. Truth is, the carrying of guns has caused more harm than good. I'd recommend that the IGP make a move for tazers; that way, whoever is tazed, though would be down a while, would still have the opportunity to live and explain what led to being tazed from his/her viewpoint. If you ask me, the difference between Boko Haram as a deadly sect and the Nigerian Police Force is not much; they're both psychopaths, just that one prefers to operate without identity while the other would do his with his uniform and get away. Guns should be given to special policemen. Take for example, a special squad set up for busting criminals. What am I even saying sef? We're in Nigeria and we know our policemen would hover around a crime scene area for about an hour before arriving at the crime scene just to avoid confrontation with thieves upon hearing several shots. |
Honestly, the piece is insightful and quite interesting to read, although, some class of persons may not find it meaningful. Regardless, Jonathan's administration has caused Nigeria and Nigerians more harms than good. While the GEJ administration kept increasing defence budgets, security of lives and properties worsened. It was as if nothing was in place to see to the welfare of lives and properties. The ripple effects of fraud and corruption is too huge that even an Angel would fail if given the presidency. It is shameful and disgraceful that some people have lost every sense of humanity. It is more of a disgrace thatI just pray those who act on sentiments and hate, coupled with unforgiving minds would read this part and realize that these corrupts elements have succeeded because of them. It's quite surprising to see Barcanista tilting back to where he left off, or perhaps have learnt to builld his judgement on objectivity. Kudos ![]() Ishiamu, you need to pray for a functioning head in this new year. It's way too earlier to act based on hate and emotion. ![]() |
They would all pass! Where the madness come from is the gun they carry about. Most have never even had the opportunity to squeeze the trigger before and they would cherish every bit of opportunity to do so. The IG alonside the FG should start considering the use of tazers. Our policemen should not be allowed to move with guns! |
Jehovah! What is this |
Let's have another round of fighting session. The Olamide vs Don Jazzy beef actually made the entertainment industry worth focusing on. Davido's own just left the scene. We desperately need another. 1. So this guy cannot mention the songs Wizkid allegedly stole ![]() 2. We need to know who "begged" you not to mess him up. Perhaps it was Otedola in your own case ![]() 3. This "street" identity makes no sense. These guys are supposed to be AT LEAST university undergrads or graduates but their romance with thug-related items is just disturbing. |
scopiicaar:If we're to go by this stat, then Ronaldo will win. |
Ideally Messi should win this, but the purported leak of the eventual list last week is an indication that corruption indeed is deeply rooted within FIFA just like within Nigerian politicians. Therefore, my CR7 should be compensated ![]() |
Prince16:I'm an Urhobo man, although I'm in the SE at the moment ![]() |
Winnie2015:It's quite unfortunate that an Igbo woman is pointing this out. As much as I hate to generalise, Igbos who think Lagos belongs to everyone should brood and relax. Igbos are not the only ones in Nigeria. While an Hausa man would not complain if you carve out a small kiosk for him in a corner of your mansion, a Yoruba man would just want anywhere to lay his head within your compound; an Igbo man, on the other hand, would rather protest to have the same treatment as the owner of the house and would be quick to scream injustice when he is put in his place. The Ohaneze, for the sake of Igbos living outside the East, should learn to be diplomatic and calm. |
cococandy:I'm sorry ma'am, but your post makes no sense. Your reasoning is as the clown who poses as the head of the Ohaneze Youth whatever. If all you can see on this thread is hate towards the Igbos and have failed to see that sane Igbos have condemned the troubling words from the lapdog called Ohaneze, then I not only pity you; I pity your sense of judgement. The Oshodi issue has been on ground for close to a year now. It started with Fashola and not Ambode. But what can I say? The likes of you are only out to provoke an already fragile country. |
Who else if it is not Explorers? The Nigeria Police Force ehn... I comment my reserve. |
Perhaps it has not ended with Don Jazzy, Olamide took to Instagram not quite long to apologize to his fans for his gross misconduct. However, he did not say a thing concerning his ignited feud with Don Jazzy. In his Instagram post, Olamide states "I want to apologize to my fans for my conduct, including swearing on Live TV at the Headies event some hours ago. I recognize that you are the most important part of my work and my journey so far, and I would not have this far without you. Therefore, you deserve better from me. I promise to conduct myself in a more respectable manner in future." Lalasticlala

naughtynaughty:So tell us, was Davido clean from the outset? For all it's worth, the cannabis claim found in the child could be fake. The Adelekes are quite powerful and it would be easy for them to nail the lady that way. If you're quick to believe that the girl is a drug addict without proof, then digest this without complaining as well. |
maestroferddi:Really? Are you now telling me that the word "smart" is now way too ambiguous in meaning that its definitions is now based largely on viewpoints ![]() Please do well to enlighten me on what it means to be "one of the smartest on the planet". And yes, I know "The Donald", I know Donald Trump. Perhaps you're referring to another Donald here. Regardless, do well to enlighten me. I'm itching to be schooled. |
PHIPEX:Does this imply that the assertions of e-warriors concerning Biafra and some parts of the South-South will change a thing? No! At the end, it will depend on these parts of the South-South if they want to go or stay with the ND, that is IF, I mean IF Biafra comes close to reality. Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB or IPOD and MASSOB or whoever does not have the power to lump any part of the SS with the SE without a proper approach, just like the e-warriors from the other sides does not have the power to decide which part stays with Nigeria and which part leaves. But based on observation, almost all Biafran agitator derive joy in lumping the SS with the SE, and when they're confronted with opposition/argument from someone from the SS, they easily brand him/her as a Fulani slave. This explains why I won't blame those who believe Biafrans are claiming the SS. Moreso, you never really expected someone from Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi or Anambra to head the petroleum sector, did you ![]() PS: I was only tempted to ask that question. |
DaGC:Oniovo, save yourself of the unnecessary stress, please. We know what they mean. |
