Family › Re: I Thank God I Didn't Marry Her by schumastic(m): 4:38pm On Sep 12, 2016
kennybabs1980:
I met Viola at the university, very beautiful young lady. I loved her so much but she was always asking for money from me even as a struggling student. I tried to dissuade her from the attitude but her chant of "you're not caring" will always rent the air at each occasion l tried to. Always very confident about herself. After NYSC, I secured a job where I earned 60k per month, she was in her final year then. I told her about the job and her response was "is it 60k job you're celebrating"? I made it clear to her that I won't continue the relationship, she smiled and went away.

She later sent a message to me in the night of that day saying "60k is not enough to marry me, good riddance to bad rubbish". Fast forward six years with a wonderful wife and two beautiful kids, I bumped into her in a mutual friend father's funeral yesterday in Abeokuta, she wasn't looking as beautiful as she used to be, I greeted and exchange pleasantries with her, she responded grudgingly at first but later came back to tell me that "you're looking like a real man now". I asked her what she meant which she didn't respond to.

I heard from a friend who followed me to Ife from Abeokuta while driving down to my base at Akure today that she actually separated from her husband because the guy lost his job in the bank in 2014. What an unrepentant money monger is this Viola lady? I haven't stopped thanking my God that I made a wise decision to leave her in 2009. I pray she learn on time.

I have an advise for young ladies and gentlemen in the house, ladies change your mindset about money issues if its wrong like Viola's. Young men, shine your eyes and work very hard to earn a respectable living, cheers.
bro i tap into this knowledge.. my dad already made it clear to me never to marry any woman out of pity and i don't plan on making such mistake..

Romance › Re: How Does Sex Impact A Friendship? by schumastic(m): 2:14pm On Sep 12, 2016
Cathony:
I've been good friends with a lady for a year already, we always had fun together, chill out, go see movies and so on. But what transpired last week was a new experience in our friendship; she came over to my house, We drank and laughed a lot but at some point, we started kissing and one thing led to another. After we had it, I tried to talk about it, but she said that she was cool, she felt good, so we moved on, she left my house an hour later. Ever since then, she's doesn't answer my calls, reply my text, boxed her on FB and asked what happened, she was like "I don't know but ever since we had sex, I've been thinking a lot, I really love you as a friend, I don't wanna lose you too, but I just have to avoid you"...I told her we can fix this, let's meet so we should talk about it, but she said she doesn't wanna see me. Hitherto, she has been snubbing me, I really don't wanna lose this friendship but what should I do now? Did sex ruin our friendship?? Please I need everyone's honest opinion about this....
maybe she thought you can hit the right spot but was shocked when you couldn't

If truly you've resolutely decided to abstain, the need to create this thread wouldn't have arisen. Your resolve isn't strong enough, you're having second thoughts and that's where you've begun to lose the battle.

Abstinence is good. Don't allow anyone tell you that because you're no longer a virgin, you must continue indulging in premarital sex.
abstainance is good quite all right but you ladies should say It from day one that you are a celibate. that way, it will be the guy's decision to stay or leave..not when he has shown too much commitment n sacrifices then you will now start singing songs of celibacy and if he wants to leave, you will start crying that he is only there for the sex just to tie him down for selfish reasons.

JustHere2Observ:
If you are not ready to have sex with him, then dont. He should respect your decision not to have sex until marriage whether you are a virgin or not, so my advice if you dont want to dont do it.
what are you saying, okay let's face reality and talk like matured and educated people.

am 99% sure that the reason she used he is acting up is because he is not being committed anymore in terms of financial, physically and advices like she said.

the problem with some of our ladies especially Naija ladies is that they don't say their mind from on set..why didn't she tell the guu from on set that she is a celibate, so he knows what he is getting himself into.

let's assume she doesn't want to have sex till after marriage, Oya let her tell the guy to go and she should stop being selfish by trying to tie him down with fake love and affections.

if the next man should come, she should make him know from day one she is a celibate and let's see how things play out.

I can see you are shocked at this, well that's how bad our police system is. you can't trust them, report a case to them and see how they turn n twist it around against you if you don't drop some cash..in Nigeria here, no b who first call police theh win case..

Crime › Re: Is It Necessary I Report This Rape Incident I Witnessed? by schumastic(m): 3:11pm On Sep 10, 2016
SC31:
whether he snitches on his friend or not if the girls dares report to the police he's already an accomplice......if you say you condemn rape then your advice to the op should be to let the girl report and he should assure her that he'll stand as a witness, that's the only human advice cause who know who the said friend might rape in the future all in the name he spent on her

The op is a very disgusting human being,he saw his friend committing such act and he just turned a blind a eye saying he would offer the girl money and justifying his friends action, truly birds a feather flock together.
I get your point no doubt and i love the way you approach the topic.
I thought of that as well but then i remember the kind of police we have and the poor system we operate, things might only end up to backfire ag him and am sure that is what he is avioding.
let's b realistic, is hard to see close child hood friends snitch on each other, instead what they do is cut of the friendship so they don't get into trouble. the same thing applys to girls as well.
am not happy with the op cus a Lil cough from him would have made a difference in the whole scenario that played out and this makes him an accomplice, which am sure he knows by now. the only reason I commented on the topic was because a lady said all guys were raised up to be rapist, which I cleared her on..thanks n i appreciate your point

....kindly keep shut with your annoying epistles which are neither here nor there undecided..

...behind your veiled weak attempt at exonerating yourself, you are no different from the useless and sick op and his horde of fellow rapists and supporters on this thread.. angry
there are three sets of people on nl i don't argue with or engage them in any conversation.

1.the uneducated ones, who are opportuned to get a phone but don't know how to use it and also show their uneducated lifestyle on a faceless forum.

2.those who can't post a comment without insults attached to it, cus of their low self esteem as if the person that made them have such a pitiful lifestyle is on this forum.

3.lastly, the immature and childish set of people who are quick to judge but are worst in reality, claiming to be a saint meanwhile they are not.

you have all this characteristics in you and that's why, after i read your first line I didn't read further anymore. to also confirm my points i went through your first 10 post on your profile and guess what I saw? insults, gibberish n immature comments, non of it were solutions or reasonable comments to most of the threads you visited.

I won't reply you again cus I can't learn anything from you and i have other important things to do as well.

if you want to engage me to prove your point or prove me wrong in any topic then do so like a learned person and not those who start their first sentence with insults.

until then, GOODBYE

If you're concerned about the people who are generalizing and making men look bad, you should focus your attention on the OP and those who are saying you shouldn't be with a man privately if you don't want to be raped. They are the one saying things that make all men seem like beasts.

Unless you're a rapist apologist and you can't stand me calling them out so you're hiding behind some silly reason to attack my posts.

Who knows what your angle is. I'm wary of people like you. You will see evil but won't condemn it. You claim you're against it but attack those who condemn it. Who knows?
the op asked for an advice that's what the topic Saud initially and am very sure if he had not created this thread nobody will know of it n will go about their business..

most people 99% of nl members always claim to b a saint n will leave the main issue on ground n rain abuses and start judging, instead of giving the advice the op seeks for.

a thread was create few days ago by a young lady about the abortion she committed n everything that happened.the reason she created the thread was for other girls to learn from her mistakes n not fall into such, but you see so many immature comments ranging from insults to the young lady to swears on her.

they forgot that she used her own life experience to enlighten other ladies out there. most NL members are always fond of judgeing n generalizing as if they are saint themselves.

if i come n say all girls are abortionist am very sure u will insult my life n seperate yourself from the rest..like i said pls get understanding n is not everything u see or hear that wil make u type insultive words.

the world is full of hate so don't help it by feeding it with more hate.

ireneony:
it's like you read the part where op supported his friend's actions. That was the reason i commented on this thread.
he kept saying the guy have the right to rape her because he bought her gifts.
So himself is a rapist!
if he said something like that then yes u might call him one but if is based on the topic n the thread created then u can't.

the reason I commented on the thread was because the lady in ? lacked understanding n went as far as insulting the parents by saying guys of this days are raised up to be rapist but am sure she has forgotten that if she has a brother, uncle, nephew or male relatives, they will also fall under this category.

so my point is for her not to generalize only for her to say am defending him n am a rapist as well.
Crime › Re: Is It Necessary I Report This Rape Incident I Witnessed? by schumastic(m):
ireneony:
no matter what..
Rape is rape..and should not be taking slightly.
let me say this to you so u will understand.

I read the story I was angry n my mood change u know why.

1.rape n molestation was committed
2.the op had the chance to stop it but didn't

everyone seem to be condemning the op but fail to give him the advice he seeks. not everyone here is matured so i expect to see childish comments as well.

even the op himself said he condemned his friend act n made it clear to him, if this was not bothering him, would he have typed it here in the first place?

he can't report to the police cus our Nigerian police can go as far as locking him up as well and things will get even worse.

if is for him to snitch on his friend that's not possible as well cus according to him they have been friends since chilhood.all he can do is cut of the friendship, meet the girl one on one and apologize to her for not coming to her rescue n pray she forgives him. nobody on this forum, I repeat nobody on this forum is a SAINT..let's learn not to judge but bring solutions to a problem..

we hear cases of ladies who a guy will train them to school n when is time to settle down she will turn him down with diff excuses, but bear in mind that her friends who are close to her will never snitch on their female friend or give her out..

so not snitching on your friend n a close friend at that works on both gender.

I condemn rape n molestation of both genders n will never b in support of it or defend it.

Fvck off.

You took a girl to buy fast food for her on a date and that's her depending on your money?. We don't hear anything when they buy gifts for you people or take you out. But you remits some miserly pittance and suddenly you believe that make you lords of the earth and owners of their ladies in question. undecided
I don't insult ladies cus is a game meant for ladies alone.

if there is anything i will ask of you is for you to seek understanding in all you do with wisdom to address issues.

first of all go through my comment and read through it again, maybe then you will understand better.

check the meaning of going out on a date and to depend on someone, then come bck and tell me if both are the same.

if you go through my comment you will also notice I quoted u base on your comment which was generalizing on all guys n also insulting the parents as well..

in your words you said "this are the kind of guys being raised this days".

that's why i asked you what kind of girls are being raised as well.

there are always three side of a story side A, side B and the truth.

the op is wrong for not stopping his friend cus he had the chance too and him reporting right now will only implicate him cus we know the nigeria police n how they treat cases.

the friend in ? is also wrong for commiting rape n had no reason what so ever to.

as for the girl in ?, i would leave you to give her a girly advice.

above all learn not to generalize.

That's the kind of boys being raised these days. I fear for my daughter:
I don't really comment on issues here except if i see one that strike my nerve..

so what kind of girls are being raised these day if I may ask?

the ones that depends on a guy for money, the ones that are prefer to eat a guys money n tag him a fool or maga, the ones that are still stupid enough to go visit the guy with the believe nothing will happen or even the ones that refuse to heed to the advice of theur parents about visiting male friends.

watch your words, learn not to deviate from any particular topic and most importantly learn not to generalize.

I do not keep male friends.

Who are friends? What you call 'friends' isn't the same as what I call 'friends'.

That I say hi to a guy in the morning on my way to work does not make him my friend. Neither is my response to his salutation (Hi, good day..) make him my friend nor talking to him casually make him my friend.

Do you understand now? Not everyone you talk to is your friend. Understand that.

Besides why would you think I am a guy? I believe my gender is clear on my profile.
I like the fact you said, what you call friends isn't the same as what i call friends but all in all, we all know who a friend is and the meaning..

I would have love to argue more on this and prove my point and prove you wrong but am at work and quite busy at the moment so when am done will sort it out with you.

on your gender, s a known fact that male members create female monikers here for reasons best known to them and that's why i doubted your gender at first.

Lol.. why would your gf live away from you? In the first place?

Why would you allow her to have male friends? I blame the men when their woman cheats
what are you saying, are you telling me that you don't have female friends who are in a serious relationship..

just incase you don't know who ever that wants to cheat will cheat irrespective of what their spouse or partner do to prevent it and that's just the reality of life.

we just have to learn, understand and accept it, so we don't feel to hurt when it happens.
