Educated people appearing foolish.
They don't even have the guts to tell Buhari to sack the service chiefs;how can they then ask for the more appropriate motion they should have adopted: telling Buhari to resign because the insecurity in Nigeria is due solely to his incompetence.

You are the only sensible person on this front page. Without hearing from the other party, I can swear with My Life, that this NEVER happened this way, I Can Swear with everything in me, that it NEVER happened.
The way people come online to write nonsense and discredit people is terrible, why are we like this?

I work in a hospital, and I particularly know how this nurses (especially the older ones) could be so mean, arrogant, insolent and violent with doctors (especially the junior ones) perhaps the believe that this one na small pikin, and they treat them with utmost disrespect.
This NEVER happened! A house officer, will never assault an ACNO, despite what this doctors face, I have never seen a case where any of them went physical. In most cases, those older nurses know many people in high powers, so the younger doctors stand no chance.
It just pains me so much what was written here, it's really hurtful. I understand the whole scenario and it's not alright when people distort a story against other people.

The story of slapping her for asking to document for not catheterizing a patient is even stupid, follow a HO outside to tell him how documentation is important, that will NEVER happen with those nurses. If them no use mouth finish u for patient front.

Please stop all this nonsense of tarnishing people's name, please, it's unfair.
It's the reason on sombre reflection, many find merit in social media regulation.
Imagine someone just comes online to totally tarnish d image of an INDIVIDUAL.Despite the obvious lies and lopsidedness of the story, the writer of this piece goes ahead to post it because he/she believes nothing will happen to him or her.Meanwhile that individual's image has been so tarnished, probably beyond redemption.
Just because of a either untrue or half true post made by someone in the comfort of his/her home using even a 8k Android phone.

Reminds me of a certain president that said he has declared his assets and when asked to disclose exactly how much,he said he has "at least 10million in bank account".
This one is a guyman trying to find justification for a fraudulent mandate.
Let him tell us how much is the security vote he claims to have forfeited.
What if it's just 100k he declares as security vote in the books?
Meanwhile the 100 vehicles he claims the government would buy for security, where would the money come from?Is it not the same security vote he claims to have given up?

The VC is a known sexual predator and a quintessential icon of all that is wrong in govt unis.

The victims deserve no pity.
Their greed and lust for easy money got the better of them.
It was a glorified pyramid scheme and like all pyramid schemes, the first set of investors usually get paid using the money of later investors.
But once the number becomes greater than the later financial inputs,it runs into deep waters because all d money had been used up to pay earlier investors leaving neither the phantom interest, nor even principal for later investors into the pyramid scheme.

But let's give it to Timi.
Much as one looks at his acts as theatrics, his cerebral write-ups on issues and on political affairs cannot be debated.
Meanwhile it's not just Ikpeazu.
Almost all the PDP governors are just PDP in name.
The likes of Dickson,Elechi of Ebonyi and even Wike have betrayed the PDP and are clandestine supporters of a president that not only isn't competent but out to destroy your so called party.
How do you go on gallivanting and supporting someone clearly destroying your party using instruments of state and judiciary, most often illegally?Yet you claim to be a true party member?
When I gave up on PDP as a party of just opportunists and zero principles was when GEJ,a former president under same PDP supported an APC candidate against his own party candidate?
If GEJ wanted to protest against the PDP and show he has any iota of influence or popularity, why didn't he support any other party than that of APC?
Timi should save his breath because Ikpeazu is not alone in being PDP in the day and APC at night.

If per chance I have a close friend that fortunately now becomes a minister or a state governor for example and that friend using his goverment power as governor gives a directive that anyone that wants to bring ordinary yam for eg for sale into the state, must first sell to me and that I have the sole monopoly of yam sales in all markets in Rivers State for eg,in 5 years time one would be a billionaire.
With that billion,I now support my friend in his further stay in power;then meet him again and tell him I would change the face of transportation in Rivers State,if he allows only my modern buses to ply all inter local government routes. He accepts,in 3 more years one would be a multibillionaire and get all funds needed to aggressively go into all other spheres of the economy.
Dangote is smart businessman no doubt, but his trajectory to what he is now has been aided by friends in high places that skewed the business climate in his favor several steps of the way.

11,000MW of electricity may be too small for the size of Nigeria but we shouldn't forget the ~180M Nigerians do not stay alone, but in groups as families.

We probably may not even have up to 20M individual homes.
This your line of reasoning is honestly shameful.
Do the 280m Americans with more than 1GW of electricity live singly?
Or the 50m South Africans with 50,000MW stay singly?
This is the typical mindset of the Nigerian with an inferiority and ill-informed mindset

If 11,000MW will guarantee 180million Nigerians and industries 24hr power supply, then Nigeria is in deep state of underdevelopment and economic stagnation.
Even if it's just to power households alone,11,000MW being sufficient for 180m people on even a 6hour basis talkless of 24hrs power need, means we have been deceiving ourselves as a country and are still basically in the economic and Nation state of the western world of the early 1930's.

I don't know the right heading for this.
Me and my friend went to recharge our prepaid metre as usual, when we got there, we where told that our card has expired. And that the prepaid metre that was given to us is now obsolete. Our card was ceased and the next dey they came and disconnected our light and said we should pay 39,000 naira for a new prepaid metre in This January. My friend has been staying for days now without electricity, he didn't commit any offence, how will they disconnect the light from the pole when he pays his due and is forced to buy metre with his own money? I want to ask does prepaid metre expire? Are we supposed to pay for prepaid metre with our own money for them to claim right over it?. This issue is now a serious matter, I don't know if it is happening in other states, but it is happening in Enugu. Our government is doing nothing at all, just about 2 days ago some eedc people where beaten mercilessly when they climbed poll to cut some peoples light, I thought the government will give it citizens electricity and we only pay? Why are we now paying for metres that will be mounted by the eedc people on a pole which is now our right..please I don't know what to say but I want this message to go viral. All this must stop, where do the masses get money to buy new metre? Why is the government making things very hard for its people.?

because they know the nature of my delivery they give me 3-4days delivery period so as to bridge the gap.

I did not tanished my image, its just a failed delivery which can easily be taking care of. It can happen to any contractor.

Travel › Re: Proposed BRT Fares Increase: Are The Reasons Valid? by seborrhic: 3:23pm On Jan 10, 2020
AutoJoshNG:
https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/BRT-Lagos-4.jpg

Plans are underway to increase BRT fares in Lagos state. Primero Transport Services Limited, the sole operator of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Lagos, made the announcement recently. The proposed increase will affect all BRT routes in the state.

According to Fola Tinubu, the Managing Director of the company, the planned increase of fares is to meet up with current realities.

According to him, “the current fares are “grossly inadequate” for the firm to provide better services for Lagosians”.

“Primero is planning to approach the regulator for an increase in fares. The last increase we got was done three years ago and our cost of operations has really increased,” he said.

“The company is not in a good financial standing now to run and foot cost of maintenance and operation of buses.

“We understand the need to provide services to the people; I think the increase has become necessary in order to serve the people of Lagos better”, Tinubu added.

Primero Transport Service Ltd became the sole BRT operator in the State 2016. This happened after the state government disengaged a LAGBUS-operated BRT franchise. The franchise had over 36 franchisees with hundreds of their buses.

Related Post:  Sanwo-Olu Acquires 800 New BRT Buses, Expands BRT Lanes

Recall that, in May 2016, former governor Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration donated 50 new buses for BRT operations in the state.

In February 2017, the Ambode-led Lagos State government approved the increase of BRT fare. The increment took effect on March 1, 2017. The approved fare increase ranged from 20% to 50%  on different routes plied by the buses.

On August 2019, just like his predecessor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced the acquisition of 800 new BRT buses.

According to the Governor, “Beyond road construction, we have started expanding the bus rapid transit system and gradually reducing the danfo buses on the roads. I am excited to announce that we have purchased over 800 buses to add to the existing BRT fleet expanding to more routes”.

“We are supportive of private investment in transportation”.

Since it has become customary for the Government of the State to gift Primero with brand new buses, using tax-payers money, what justifications are there to increase the fares within a short period?

Shouldn’t the regular largess to the company be regarded as a means of subsidizing the fares paid by Lagos state residents?

The last increment in fares was about 3 years ago. Has the cost of fueling the buses or spare parts drastically increased within that period?

Are the excuses offered by Primero for the proposed increase of BRT fares valid?

Source:

https://autojosh.com/is-the-proposed-increase-in-brt-fares-justified/
The last increment wasn't 3 years ago.It hasn't been up to 2 years.
They enjoy monopoly of dedicated lanes and that gives them d leverage to do as they like.
Allow another service to also use d dedicated lanes and see if they would be increasing fares at their whims and caprices.
We claim to b operating a free market economy but are infact operating a monopolistic economy in large areas of our economy.
