lalaboi:
They all thieves mahn. . . .they charge ridiculous prices. . .and the amount you pay will cook you that food prolly 5times! or more!
You sabi correct! But the worst part of it is when they water down the food in order to please the 'oyinbo' people. I mean come on, if they keep doing that, doesn't it loose the whole point of the food being authentic? Pepper soup is not pepper soup without the peppe abi?

I only go to 805 to get monika fish and cocount icecream tongue and I only go aso rock for the mase stew. Everything else I can make 10 times berra myself.! cool grin
cos me i like money now wink wink wink lol
maybe because money plays a lot in our relationship
Greedy boy! tongue

jay bee:
Is 900 quid worth the stress the girl would have to go through for 2 weeks which might include her being used by Niyi?
and 900 quid is not a lot of money to be putting someone thru such. if love is dead then he should be able to bone the money. afterall, he his the one calling it quit grin grin grin grin
how old is this Niyi by any chance?
Exactly. But like you said before, from his reasonings, it seems maybe they could go on the trip and rekindle the 'spark. Or better still done the relationship and go about his business whilst forgetting his dough. simple. grin

Or as my colleague is telling me right now 'take her on holiday, deal with her (you know what that means). . . . . come back and wait some weeks, then if you still feel the same way, be gone. shocked (not my words ohhh)!!
RomanceRe: Romance/money Dilemma---help Needed! by Secretz(f): 10:31am On Sep 21, 2009
jay bee:
the word dump is kinda childish so i m goin to go with break-up.
dude should break up with her now as loosing 900 quid is better than making the girl go through another 2 weeks of uncertainty. money ain't everything and can definitely be recouped back.

on the flipside though, can't the 2 weeks together help them rekindle the spark they once had or is Niyi just bent on breaking up with the girl?
He should go for that reason alone, not because of the potential lost money. Otherwise if he is soo certain he wants to end it, then please just do. grin

Kenny_G, na wa oo for your dilemna stories. . . . but why has it always got to do with money? tongue
RomanceRe: Am Tired Of The Relationship by Secretz(f): 10:24am On Sep 21, 2009
A person can be very nice but not necessarily making them 'boring' per se.
Yes, relationships can become routine, but just after 6 months? na wa oooo, if this is the case then it bloody well is boooring!. If I am dating someone for only 6 months and I'm finding it boring, then berra believe I mean it.

@ OP. What is making it boring? He doesn't suggest going out? (always staying at home?)
He's not spontaneous?
There are no disagreements? (everything is always 'perfect').

knight4u:
If it's boring, why don't you try and make it interesting and stop whining like a baby. It takes two to tango! huh
lol. I hear what you're saying, but sometimes when you do attempt to make it interesting, the other (BORING) person can dampen your spirit and attempts to do this because they are just soo boring. lol. tongue
CultureRe: Left Hand by Secretz(f): 9:45am On Sep 21, 2009
SeanT21:
My step father hated me using my left hand. He said the only time U should use your left hand is when cleaning your ass.
roflmao!! grin

I was born left handed but 'trained' to use my right. . . . (wicked people). can now write with both, but . . . . my strength remains in my left hand, however, I write better and neater with my right. You see how these people don confuse me sef.

It's a silly cultural thing, that they should get rid of. A few of my younger cousins and my lil niece are left handed and if I see anyone trying to 'change' them, I get nasty! grin
RomanceRe: If A Guy Really Loves A Woman by Secretz(f): 10:41am On Sep 18, 2009
Yumi:
Yep at first I thought it was ok until I realised they were still sleeping together and every time we had a problem he turns back there. So now am not sure I want to save it anymore. He really has a lot of proving himself to do to convince me he really loves me. Hence why I am moving on now, if he didn't get back to me in a week I am not that important in his life so its time to move on.
Sweetheart, this has nothing to do with him having a child, he's just a complete self-service! undecided
Regardless, as long as there is always an 'ex' girlfriend or chic on the scene to accept him with open arms, this running back and forth from you to her/them is always gonna be an issue. Some people are not worth valuable energy that can be aimed in another direction. grin

Well she can manage it, if she can (though i doubt that will last)
Every time she looks at it, she would be like 'How could he pick something like this?' 'How could he not know me well enough to know my tastes?'

Personally, i'm a ring person, so a ring i don't like. . .i will not be keeping.

Or he can take it back and 'try' again. tongue grin
RomanceRe: Ladies, What Would You Do? by Secretz(f): 11:51am On Sep 17, 2009
lol. Ask him if he doesn't mind her exchanging it for another ring she would prefer of the same value. His intention was very nice, but let's get real, she will never truly appreciate the ring if she doesn't fall in love with it pretty much immediately. And he should have sly-ly tried to figure out her taste before hand especially if he knew he was gonna spend soo much money, not knowing if she would really like it. grin

RomanceRe: To All Ladies Who Are Not Single by Secretz(f): 11:08am On Sep 17, 2009
Come to think of it, I think I get the gist of what the poster is getting at . . . . . especially where some guys 'expect' it and they are not even engaged or married. Some guys get soo used to their girl cooking that they sly-ly stop taking them out to dinner etc, and even at the end of the day they still don't end up marrying them, but really it isn't a big deal as long as you're not seen as house girl or he doesn't lift a finger as someone rightly said earlier.  grin

roflmao!!! Oh my days. . . . . this is not a big deal AT ALL. . . . . more like a recipe for sending your man to another womans house to chop food (if he can't cook). luckily for me, mine knows how to cook as well. . . . . however, if I'm done cooking, he go put apron and wash plate. tongue

@ Topic, If a man loves a woman, he will fight for you jare! No forming abeg! But yes ohhhh he can let go to prove. . . . . I don't know what, but yes, it can happen that way. Depends on the persons 'way' of wanting to show you they love you. grin
RomanceRe: Moral Dilemma-what Should He Do? by Secretz(f): 4:47pm On Sep 16, 2009
Na waa oo, that's not even triple the original price. . . . . but if it isn't gonna seriously burn his pocket then no problem. Only advise is next time, book it before telling her anything (obviously being aware that she would be available during that time to travel). grin

shocked na waaa ooo!

'a nagging wife has no shame, she can nagg right infront of your frds----so NO
a hot tempered wife can commit murder all in the name of she being angry-NO too to this

Abi ooooo! But if I had to choose, nagging. . . . . because sometimes a lot of sense can be derived from the words of a 'nagging wife'. A hot tempered wife can destroy many things within seconds of her temperamenal episode.  tongue

nana:
What u don't know won't hurt u! Snooping around is a sign of insecurity.
Both of you, thank you jare. grin Why even bother snooping when the person has not even given you ANY sign or reason to suspect, for the need to go and snoop and only hurt yourself. grin

izeek:
tell me u have never peeped into your bf's wallet, phone, wardrobe, file, letters, something of that sort.
lets not be hasty @ stating otherwise, i know its assumed wrong to snoop, but hey sometimes it does happen and we all know this fact.
dont go playing all saintly or godly or something!
Of course I have. I am not denying this!! But not now at this age or in this life anymore. If I had reason to it is surely a different thing entirely. But the way in which the OP described it, was a bit wayy too much snooping. grin
RomanceRe: U A Snooper? by Secretz(f): 9:39am On Sep 16, 2009
Oh please. The fact that you have to even 'snoop' in the first instance whether it be a little, or a lot, means you yourself have personal issues you need to deal with and shouldn't even bother being in a relationship. grin
RomanceRe: What Is The Best Treatment For A Nagging Babe? by Secretz(f): 9:33am On Sep 16, 2009
lol, all these suggestions to deal with a nagging babe, na waaa oooo. lol

Many men believe even if a babe wants to 'talk' she is nagging. So each person has their own definition of nagging.

The one that works for me when I'm supposedly nagging is to stand there, stare at me and just listen until I stop. Don't even flinch or do a thing. The last thing you want to do is ignore her or act childish, it is better that you 'appear' that you're listening than not, otherwise I guarantee the nagging is likely to increase and she may follow you if you walk away! .  grin   tongue
