FamilyRe: Reasons For Giving Many Names To Babies by SELFWORTH: 9:41am On Nov 16, 2012
mappete: I'll prefer to go with the circumstance surrounding the birth of the child. I was born on xmas day so i av d name biodun, nd by way of english/christian name, i bear christiana(i fink d significance of an english name is justified on the basis of interaction with foreigners). Also, i was born right around the time we moved into our new house so i bear olashile. My mum is from edo state so i bear obehi(@ least wen her pple are around i can belong) nd my dad is yoruba so i have an oriki(arike)(i guess the grand P's were eager 2 kip e whole culture thing intact) nd i av one last name olayemi(i tink my dad named me dat nd he likes calling of by dis name wen he's in a particularly apy mood or wen i've done sth ryt).
What's with the picture? Is this Facebook? Stupid people . You never learn from others mistakes. Advertising yourself like a prostitutex. you will attract lunatics and then u start complaining !

thorpido: Do people still name children based on circumstances of birth, reminds me of Jabez's mother.I think one should name a child what he/she wants 4 d future and not based on circumstance. You want your child to be a doctor?I think the better thing is to ask God to help you guide him in the path of his destiny.I don't think people should choose careers for their kids.
Names have nothing to do with careers otherwise 98% of babies born to Yorubas will be preachers .
FamilyRe: Reasons For Giving Many Names To Babies by SELFWORTH: 9:35am On Nov 16, 2012

It has nothing to do with idols.

Well we are Christians in my family and all of the names start with Oluwa...( God) and whatever the parents is trying to say. Don't generalise that Yorubas believe in idols. When Yorubas call their children just the pronounciation tells a story .
FamilyRe: Reasons For Giving Many Names To Babies by SELFWORTH: 11:21pm On Nov 15, 2012
I have ten names and I love being called by either of them. There is no English names in my family at all. None of us like English names. My granny said God understands all languages so you don't have to resort to English becos you want your child name to be biblical.

No English name for my child too. I can't be shouting Sarah (some people don't even know how to pronounce the English names well) when I can easily call Oluwafeyisayo. There is just no comparison . No names carry as much meanings and is as endearing as my fatherlands.

kconcept: you all can say what you can, but everybody knows that people travel out of Nigeria on a daily bases just to have a better life. and in the process some use fault identity while others gets involved in vices that aren't good enough and the bottom line is that we all buy into what these white people tells us. the are the same people who made us slaves, took our natural resources and still control our economy just to develop their own and when we hear anything about our people we cry even if it's £5 but we do nothing about the billions the loot away from our country. whenever I read or hear about this sort of news, I do not bother myself because once a white man has an opportunity to nail you either you're guilty or not especially if you're Nigeria they pursue it to the last letter just to bring you down. this is just one of those usual nonsense they write and we cry about while they go ahead to continue looting our money. be wise!!!
Please lets be honest.

There is no justification for Evil. Go online and read the story properly. He was a proper 419 . Unfortunately , he wasn't in Nigeria where you do not pay for your crimes. The law will punish and there is still the judgement of God. He has soiled Gods name and Nigerias.

Gorgeous gorgeous baby.

I see my neighbour ride his bike with his son to school everyday. Its so endearing to watch. You see them laughing and talking together. You can see there is permanent bonding that no one can take away between them. The son will remember it for years to come.

Anyone and indeed anything can be a sperxm donor BUT it takes a real MAN to be a dad.

CrazyMan: There are two options for this act....its either his wife is more successful than he is, thereby making life miserable for him, or he's a widower...cos no sane man would engage in such.
Nah wah oh. So if she is indisposed , a man should not step in and help which includes carrying your own CHILD. Oga o!

thirdeye: What! This is madness, I don't pick calls atimes while having meeting with some clients. Now we are talking of the President if this is true I blame GEJ for this despite being one of his staunchiest supporters, being humble shouldn't make you stupid., haba
Its interesting that lots of people continue to criticise him for his personality and character even though they have never met him. its has nothing to do with that. It's about how you carry yourself. You don't have to be Sadam Hussein or Abacha who led with fear by killing to command respect.

You need to carry your team with you .

It's about being Fair and Firm at all times. People will trust and respect you for you style of leadership .

sleekdot: The more succesful you are the more you realize most women are useless even the so called succesful ones. When you live in a one bedroom apartment in ajangbadi you would think its the poor girls that are useless that the Lekki and Shell ones are good but when you have money and access to all type of girls you would realise they are all the same
Because of your success you also wonder what a particular woman would offer you. if its just pusssy and kids then everyone can do that and its not something you are starved of. Your taste gets higher and you keep picking and dropping until you see that one!!!
Ugh. Pure Gutter all the way. the attitude, language and mind.
FamilyRe: Some Nigerian Men And Their Popular "I Will Marry U Syndrome" by SELFWORTH: 6:44pm On Nov 14, 2012
Batam: Not all successful men have this problem. It's an individual attitude which is based on lust & indecision. I have a friend that is 38 and yet to find miss right anytime we chat he will tell me of one girl that he just met and when asked some other time He will give one excuse or the other and will tell me about new girl on ground. Mind you, he's not a richman yet.
He probably does not know what he is looking for. No two individuals are the same and to choose right you need the grace of God. The perfect wife or husband is yet to be born. The bible gives good guidance about finding a helper but many are looking for money, looks, , fairness, good job, UK/US citizen and all sorts . Once they get married, they realise its another kettle entirely.
FamilyRe: Some Nigerian Men And Their Popular "I Will Marry U Syndrome" by SELFWORTH:
Uhh.
They believe its the quickest way into your pants. Most girls don't respect themselves and can come across as too cheap and desperate becos of their age. Why sleep with every John and Harry. Not every man u date is marriage material .

If you rush into marriage you will rush out just as quickly.

Looking for Mrs Perfect instead of trying to be perfect to the right person. Unfortunately, between now and eternity, they will never find a Mrs or Mr Perfect. . They are yet to be born.

pDude: The truth is bitter bruv tongue

You need to see look of panic on some people's face over here the moment you tell them you are Nigerian.
Don't mind him.

This is the kind of thing we are talking about. If you don't agree with someones opinion why the gutter abuse? All these gutter people with their gutter language and behaviour. Who would want them in their country ? Come to think of it , Nigeria should even deny some of its own people citizenship when you consider their attitude and behaviour. All you have to do is look at what they have turned Nigeria into before you turn them down flat .
may be, but the rest are full of bloody racist... besides its hard to make a living a brazil unlike us
....I take it you haven't seen all the posting on NL asking for jobs after fruitless years of searching. Only someone who has experienced both sides of the pond can say its easier to make a living in Nigeria unless you count hawking, okada riding, and armed robbery etc as legitimate ways of making a living.

My point exactly. You hardly experience racism in your own country if hardly ever.

J12: Brazil is NOT a racist country.
.... Really. The only country where you are fully "accepted" for your own race is your own country. Please don't be naive. Just say you have not experienced racism personally.
