Very nice, kind, reasonable, and treats me like a friend and daughter, and he lets me get on with my work! What else would you say about a boss who gives you a £2500 advance after only 4 weeks on the Job? ![]() |
^^^^ The whole thing looks like a money-making venture set up by 'awon boys'! Those who do not know God will be seriously exploited with their 'miracle marketing strategy'. At this rate their shares will start being traded on the Nigerian Stock exchange! |
Daniel 11:32b They that know their God shall be strong and do great exploits! From what I have seen on this Fireman, I'll say they that do not know their God shall be weak and greatly exploited! ![]() |
ishow2005:John 16:23 = In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. |
RIP, beauty! |
So young! RIP, Yasmine! |
RIP Ikemba! He was loved by many! Poor Bianca! |
Count your blessings Name them one by one Count your blessings See what God has done Count your blessings Name them one by one And it will surprise you what that Lord has done! |
^^ Baba Sweet, How now? Been busy fighting World War III! Hope family and work is fine! ![]() |
@ poster Love covereth a multitude of sins. Love will forgive fornication/adultery. Remember 'forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us'? God hates divorce; God wants a lasting godly union that will raise godly offspring (adopted or natural). Divorce was only permitted by Moses because of the hardness (sure there is more packed into this word here e.g greed, selfishness, lust for another woman, unforgiveness etc) of the men's hearts. I agree with Eben 2's post. |
All things work together for good to them that love God! Your not having it is for 'an expected end'! , and you were built to be able to deal with not having it yet! If God has promised it, you'll get it; Abraham got Isaac! He will do it for his name's sake! |
What a shame! RIP! I wouldn't embark on such! It is advisable to at least drink water. 21 days' dry fasting not a feat to achieve in one go, it takes practice with shorter days! |
Won't do fisticuffs over a man; that is so razz! There are many other ways to fight for your man! |
Shall we start with 'What is the population of this Hausa community'? If it is a sizeable population, they could put forward a local government councillor in the next elections to start with. If it is only the population of those who live in Sabo, it's too small produce a Councillor! Cattle-counting gimmicks will not be allowed! If there is any suitable qualified one amongst them they need to move in the right circles to get an appointment. |
In Psalm 109, David was putting a petition before God! He wanted God to deal with his enemies because he couldn't handle them himself. For David, it was not a matter of Iya Sikira vs Iya Ngozi! We are talking matters that would decide the fate of a whole nation. Psalm 109 is not the only psalm where this kind of petition is made. There are at least 20 psalms in this tone. If your enemies keep sending bombs into your country everyday, It'd be very very silly to keep sending them food supplies in 'retaliation'! When you ask God to favour you with the promotion that Supervisor who hates you at work wants to give to someone else, you are effectively asking God to put that Supervisor to shame, whether you say it in those exact words or not! He will be very ashamed when you get the promotion after he has bragged to everyone that you won't get it! There is a time to bless, and a time to curse! There is a time to cry out to God in pain when the enemy refuses to leave you in peace! That was exactly what David did. Spiritual warfare is aimed at the power behind the enemy, which is the devil, but the enemy who serves as a conduit for the devil in your persecution will get his share of the judgement. It is not right to pray that one's colleague/neighbour/Husband's mistress die in a car accident for the harm they've caused but the soul of a petitioner will cry out crazy things to God when they are under persecution. The petitioner alone knows where and how much it hurts. |
Being 'unequally yoked' with an unbeliever will have serious consequences on a true Xtian's life! Ask those who married unbelievers when they had 'backslidden' only to come back into the faith! There will be no partner to 'join hands and faith' with to pray for your marriage and life matters. There will be no 'one' to lift you up when you fall. Your spiritual concerns will not be his/her concerns. An unbelieveing spouse will not be able to encourage you when you need that spiritual encouragement. It is a very very difficult life. You will be carrying a burden meant to be eased by two alone. Remember how Solomon's strange wives turned his heart from God? It's a real risk when you marry an unbeliever. You may find in the end that your heart will be turned from God. Marry someone who you will grow togther in the Lord, not someone who will keep stagnate your journey or even turn you back from God. Marry someone who revers God and wants to walk with him! If you knowingly yoke yourself with an unbeliever, you will PAY for it! As Xtians, we should know that everything God tells us not to do is for our own benefit! When we trespass, we get to understand WHY he said not to do it in the first place . . . . and finding ourselves in such situations are far from enjoyable! ![]() |
Nigerians still have and have always been charitable. It is what hss brought so many people this far, considering that there is little or no help from the government for the masses. The culture of 'organised' charity such as 'soup kitchens' might not be existent, but there are many neighbours (and even strangers) who feed and clothe other neighbours, who lend them money when they are in need, who provide shelter, who pay the school fees of people they are not even related to. Many Nigerians survive on the 'unorganised unrecognised unpublicised' charitable deeds of fellow Nigerians. We may not have Soup Kitchens but we give more than food. |
Joagbaje:I can connect with the logic , but it is not REALLY said anywhere. Is it? ![]() |
Poor Gaddafi! He died like a DOG! IMO, He met the befitting end he chose! He should have done the honorable and sensible thing by leaving power and possibly moving to another Country when his people wanted a change of government! He could have watched things unfold from self-exile in safety, and if his people had been proved wrong in their choice to remove him from power, they could have asked him back. I can't believe he didn't even leave Libya! The good and the evil he did will not be forgotten most especially by those who were directly affected! Poor Gaddafi! May the souls of all Libyans (nationals and non-nationals) lost in the Gaddafi era rest in the peace they deserve! Amen! . . . . that said, may all countries held captive by dictators/tyrants be prised out of their hands when they least expect! Amen! |
. . . 'educated modern woman' employing an underage girl as omo odo, in this day and age? Why don't you employ a grown-up woman to look after this young girl and your home? That would be a better way of showing you really care for this young girl, and that you ARE 'educated and modern' like you say you are. Good luck, OP! |
JeSoul:I was going to ask the two 'anatagonists of testimonies' whether it is the fault of those of us who testify to God's goodness that they see nothing worthy of giving glory to God for in their lives. Please, let us be dependent on God and you be dependent on your own power and might. . . . . . . while you are at it, I just received the answer to a request I made to God in my bed this morning! Alleluia! ![]() |
Joagbaje:How about Joseph and Daniel? Has your understanding increased on the matter of dream interpretation? |
@ OP Abeg, share the rest of this dream with us jooo! |
Joagbaje:If you are saying the above and not just quoting a previous poster, please, support it with the Bible! Thank you. |
i.chuka is right but in situations like this people need physical, emotional and spiritual support. I can give you the phone number of someone who you can share your problems with, and who will pray with you, continue to pray along with you, and give you some counselling, if you email me and include your phone number. You can also post a prayer request in the 'Can we pray together thread?' at https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=59716.msg8719568#msg8719568 May God perfect all that concerns you. Amen. Kind regards, seyibrown. |
Quite a lot of Psalms to go through every time, if you pray several times in a day! One session of the above format reqires about 3 hours! |
Nimshi:Please, support the above - with full explanation - with the Bible. Thank you! |
I bless the name of the lord for the victory he gave me on Friday. I have a matter before him and have been praying Psalm 86:17 (Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.) He showed me favour on Friday. He silenced all tongues that arose against me and confounded all those who were plotting evil against me (I am laughing in the spirit as I write this), and I know he will finish this work and allow place for a full-blown testimony that the unbelieving may know that he is indeed God! I hold on to his promise in Exodus 14:14 (The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.) I declare that this victory is permanent in Jesus' name! Praise the Lord! Alleluia! |
Xtians who put on the 'whole armour of God' cannot get hurt by witchcraft/black magic. Xtians who 'fall asleep' or fall into sin can get hurt but God mercies are from everlasting to everlasting, and he protects us from all sorts every day! I experienced a very brief demonic visitation very early last friday morning that was meant to discourage me from taking hold of a victory set for later that Friday morning. I knew on whose behalf the visit was made on and I knew what exactly it was about. God protects us from all countless evils everyday. Witchcraft/Black Magic/White Magic exists! |
Pray as the Spirit (the Holy Spirit) leads you, not the spirit of Ogogoro or PanaDULL! |
Laff wan kill me die! Ekiti kete! |
What I have seen and heard on that video scares me! Those people are being abused! When the Spirit of God is in a place, it is not difficult to know! That doesn't look or feel like it! ![]() |
