Education › Re: Who Remembers The Name Of This Book? by sharpwriter(m): 9:08pm On Feb 10, 2022
Sewasaunt:
A young girl; Ralia who got missing while running an errand for her mum.

She had several adventures, met a witch, escaped from her, met a hunter, then a prince, until she was eventually reunited with her mum.

It was so much fun to read back then, I should probably look for the book again.
Actually, the old woman wasn't a witch nor bad. The villagers conspired against her and exiled her, hence, reason she lived in the forest.

As much as an Amaechi candidacy would make a lot of sense, this might also be a smoke screen as to who the anointed one really is... it definitely isn’t tinubu neither is it Osinbajo. I’m still watching the very one I suspect with keen interest.
Whom do you suspect?

Very nostalgic BUT like someone said here, I will roll with today's technology than those days. Imagine going to Nitel and paying crazy fees JUST to speak to your relatives for JUST 5 Minuteshuh? Imagine it took avg 2-3 weeks JUST to send a letter abroadhuh?imagine you can travel for hours to visit someone JUST to find out that they weren't home because there was no means of communication to let them know that you were cominghuh With WhatsApp, you can even see who you are talking to instantly for FREE, you can send documents , make copies via mobile phone emails for FREE, know about any companies thru internet for FREE today. Nostalgic BUT today's tech has made life easier with no extra financial cost abeg!
Lol.. I concur, do you still remember when we use coins to phone at phone booths? Early 2000 things

paulolee:
forget the contract n financial issues, nigerian av learned the hard way n dnt want a repeat of Lars largaback story..
Lars was employed months before 2010 worldcup n we left in d group stage with a very bad performance, lars excuse was dt he wasn't given enough time to study n get used to our players...
it seems mr eguavon know dm well, so he gets d job..
To me, Lars wasn't that bad, he might need a few more time with those players though, but those players na fvk up guys, dem no fit play nothing.

Was it Lars that made Aiyegbeni miss an open net? Was it him that made that stupid Keita get unnecessary red card? And many more. With discipline and more seriousness, we could have gotten past that stage in 2010.

And even at that, which world cup have we really performed since we've been going? Maybe France 98, we never reach quarter finals before.

But the most useless coach we have ever had which was evident in the woeful performance of the players is Berti Vogts cheesy grin the man's head dey empty cheesy

Sports › Re: Which Of The Games Were Your Favourite In The Just Concluded AFCON? by sharpwriter(m): 8:11pm On Feb 07, 2022
Well, I am not interested in choosing a particular one, but I will say that the AFCON has been wonderful.

Personally, I believe that African football has greatly improved with the performance of the countries that participated. The tactics, passion and tempo have increased.

In fact, the style of play in the tournament is no longer boring like what we used to have. And I'm greatly impressed with the amount of accuracy of outside 18 rocket shots which were on target that graced the tournament.

I look forward to seeing greater AFCON tournaments to come.

Shout out to Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, Comoros and Morocco (I love the teams).

I don't think it should be scrapped... It ain't bad, moreso the whites shouldn't be our pacesetters in everything.
