Samantha124: Well, that's South Africans for you, we love learning other languages.
How many languages can you speak? just two English and my native language, I know you are multi lingual which is great. |
Culture › Re: Ways To Identify SA Tribes By Their Traditional Dance Moves. by Shattuck(m): 10:31am On Oct 18, 2023 |
Samantha124: Most part of the song was also in Tswana, the artist's home language.
Why do you make it seem like it's a taboo to sing in a foreign language nah I don't think it is a taboo to sing in a foreign language, i appreciate the art. I just think there is always a backstory or a reason why an artist would sing in a foreign language, most especially one that is not so popular, except you are a featured artist, or you are sampling a popular lyrics, like I can't imagine Nasty C rapping in Hausa or Urhobo when he is neither being featured by a Nigerian artist or sampling a song, I don't think it's wrong to sing in a foreign language, I am just curious, what the inspiration is, their thought process, how they come about the idea of this language out of thousands of other languages. |

Samantha124: Whaat?😲😲😲 You must be joking... Funny enough, as a child there was this song by an SA artist titled mo ni fere, we used to sing along it without knowing the meaning of mo ni fere... She would say mo ni fere and then say it in English, but we just didn't pay attention.
It was only when I was in my late teens that I asked this other Nigerian for the meaning of I love you in Yoruba and she said "mo ni fere". why was an SA artist singining in Yoruba, for me personally I listen to Yoruba songs often times this songs are hardly subtitled in English, we just sing along anyway without understanding what it means, interesting enough the last song I googled the interpretation was jerusalema, I loved it so much that I became curious, because it sounds like she was telling a story, popular songs in Nigeria are always mixed in English and indegenous language so you get what the singer is talking about by just listening to the English part. Btw Mo ni fere truly means I love you just checked it right now, atleast I learnt something today. |

Samantha124: We don't have a general traditional language, most of us understand each other's languages. even in writing? How possible is that for someone to understand over a dozen language, I see it alot on the internet south Africans writing in traditional language, I always assume it is to be understood by only members of their tribe. So how does every south African understands each other's language, are the various languages taught in schools? Or you pick them up yourselves by association? |

DeLaRue: She lacks experience.
However, as for your comment...what blowback?
Does the UN feed Nigeria or pay your electricity bill. So the UN is beyond accountable.
What power does the UN have over Nigeria.
Many Nigerians quake in their boots at the mention or sight of whites. it is not about if the UN feeds us or not, or Nigerians quaking in their boots when they see white, the UN is a reputable agency to a large extent, their method of operations may different from what we have, now if the account of donations does not reflect, she ought to have met with the UN country director to seek clarification, then if they can't provide justified account of the funds then you can cry out, you know just how corrupt our system is, these funds might have been distributed through other means or agencies and ministries, like through the humanitarian ministry or even through NAPTIP |

LegendHero: Lol confused people.
Support Israel to continue to exterminate Palestinians and displace them from their home, then use another hand to give them aid so as to look like they are also pro-human right.
In this world, the only thing you need is to have “Power” as a country. You need that power or one day you will wake up to see that you are being swallowed up because NOTHING like human right.
I wish Palestinians the best but I also have Nigeria problem to think about. I guess their own destiny in this life is to be oppressed. which problem does Nigeria have? I thought we now have tinubu the master strategist, the man who fought the Atlantic ocean. |

AbuAeesha: Please point of correction 🙏 its writen as "Qur'an" The Israelites of today are trying to base their claims that the land is their ancestral home (this is not disputed) but in this modern era if everyone is to go back to their ancestral home you might have to leave where you occupy today.
Americans today will have to leave. Australians today will have to leave.
Both Qur'an & Bible doesn't recommend the Jews and the Jews don't even believe in these 2 scriptures.
Ever wondered why Hitler treated them the way he did? You can find out the speech he made about them on January 30 1939. by your account if you agree that historically it is their ancestral home, then they have a right to lay claim to that land, considering the fact they have no other place to call home and as an ethnic race they deserve a place, the best solution is for the two to share. |

fatherjesse: It is the worst and nothing will change that. When we started to talk on the hardship occasioned by PMB government, they labeled us IPOB and wailers that it was still early days and that it would eventually get better. It will only get worse with this drug lord that is only out to compensate those who helped to rig him to power. I swear the one reason why I can and will never believe anything this Apc and it's supporters say, for the single fact they supported buhari even to the very last day, even when it was obvious he was leading Nigeria to hell. |

Corrinthians: First it was his remarks on Gaza war that had him in their cross hairs, now this.
We have long predicted this god-servants relationship between this resplendent oaf and his servants (AKA Obidient IPOB) would come to a crashing end soon, with both entities turning sworn enemies, just like they did with Reno.
A this point, some of them would have seen the truism of that prediction and would go easy on gobbling on every sputum he discharges. The clarity of the handwriting on the wall is undeniable.
When you make a god out of an idiot, and make him feel himself infallible and beyond reproach, this is what you get. Obidients are too phucking dull upstairs. for the record the dumbest folks in Nigeria are tinubu's supporters, Reno omokri is now your hero, when it is obvious to the blind that the idiot just needs relevance, you see how stupid agbadorians are anyone who just wants to catch this idiots all he just need to do is just criticize obi and the dumb oshodi under bridge balablu supporters will automatically begin the ass worshipping. |

Mynd44: Tambuwal and Okowa started it with their betrayal.
Wike is the most disrespected "Leader" in PDP. He has been funding the party for years only for Ariju to come back in 2019 and 2023 to get the ticket because he has money.
You people forget how many times he has bailed Wadata Plaza out or how many PDP governors he helped out in their elections (most recently Obaseki) yet how do theu treat him? Disrespect and betrayal.
Well, disrespect only beat disrespect while I agree that wike really bailed out the pdp and stood for pdp candidates, you can't also because of your contribution become dictatorial to grown men, he doesn't understand diplomacy or how to address issues just because your supported a candidate does not mean they automatically become slaves to you, this is wike's problem. |

SoNature: I am not a Tinubu's fan and will never be. However, Tinubu's case and Mmesoma's case aren't the same.
While the former didn't FAKE anything about his result (because the school acknowledged that he finished from there), Mmesoma upgraded her result to win an award.
The little girl is a criminal and nobody should defend her criminality. Criminals like Mmesoma should make Nigéria consider having a juvenile prison. what makes a document fake is the authenticity of the document the purpose of acquiring the fake does not justify it, I have been in a position where I could have faked a document because of time often times people may travel and forget their document at home and forge a new one just to save time and cost of traveling back home, isn't that forgery, the law that governs Nigeria does not consider the purpose of the act to judge if it is a crime or not, the act itself is a crime. |
