Why do you want to rescue unrepentant son who dug your grave? Who refused to inaugurate democratically elected 14 members of the HoA
That is what annoyed me most about Obaseki in all of this. I care less about his rift with Oshiomole but how on earth will you have the guts to deny 14 House of Assembly members that were elected by their constituency independently of you, same way you were elected independently, the right to represent their constituents? Only goes to show he's power drunk and a tyrannt. So preposterous.

The constitution of this country is really shameful. These governors are given too much power. I now understand why state policing can't work here. How can someone who didn't appoint me into a position, a position I was elected into by my people to represent them in the state legislature have the power to decide whether I can represent my people or not. What's democratic about that?

They won't complain about this joke of a governor and how he is making a fool of them. Instead they would reward him with Senate seat after giving him 2 terms, like they did to Ochendo too and turn their attention, anger and insult to Tinubu and Oshiomhole who owe them nothing.

Oga oh

I regret supporting Buhari in 2015 and 2019, despite his strive in infrastructural development

He has failed so far in Security and Economic development even worst than Jonathan did.

We thought we have seen it all with the way Patience Jonathan dragged Nigeria through the mud during Jonathan's time as president.

Now, we have simply moved to another low with everyone in the government doing as they like

Buhari himself keeps giving us pre recorded speech like we were back in the 1980s.

I have given up on Nigeria. tbh
Slap me once, shame on you
Slap me twice, then shame on me.
You cannot regret voting Buhari again in 2019. That's simply intentionally reinforcing failure. It's not what smart people do. I can understand that of 2015 as he was well packaged as the Messiah but by 2019, it was already obvious even to the blind that he has nothing to offer but to further entrench his ethnic and religious agenda and worsen the lives of Nigerians. Yet you still voted him again.

na wa for you o, the problem is not majorly the authenticity of the certs, but the discrepancies in the dates, the year he was actually supposed to grad and the year he graduated, his o level results the spelling of his name on the NYSC cert and a lot of others, obaseki didn't submit any certificate during the last elections, he only submitted afidavites claiming he lost his original certs during movement from one office to another.
There's no issue with his O'Level. UI admitted him despite that result and authenticated it. It is their prerogative to admit him or not. The Nigerian constitution did not say you must get 5 credits to run for governor. There is also nothing wrong about the year he is supposed to graduate. He used 3 years instead of 4 years because he did A' Level and was admitted through Direct entry, which starts at 200 Level. The only valid issue is the discrepancy in the way his surname was spelt on his NYSC certificate, with the initially 'O'. This wouldn't have been an issue if he had been proactive earlier to correct this with NYSC. He was simply careless and that has cost him now.
Politics › Re: APC Panel Disqualifies Obaseki From APC Primary Election In Edo State by Sheggy13(m): 5:21pm On Jun 12, 2020
martineverest:
but UI have already clarified the result already
He was not disqualified on the basis of his bachelor degree from UI but on his Higher School Certificate (HSC) i.e. A Level and then NYSC certificate. On his NYSC certificate his surname was spelt as Baseki instead of Obaseki, omitting the 'O'. This was a certificate issued since 1980 - 40 years ago. He never made any move to correct this anomaly meaning he is okay with parading a wrong name as his surname. That's a discrepancy. Coming to HSC, the school he attended said he finished the HSC programme in 1975 but Obaseki himself wrote that he finished in 1976 in the APC screening form he filled. So who's lying or saying the truth? His carelessness cost him. These are minor issues he ought to have taken care of. His detractors in APC would have had nothing on him like they did because it was the UI certificate they wanted to use against him as he only presented an affidavit when he contested for first term claiming the certificate was misplaced but he outsmarted them now by producing it suddenly and UI also authenticating it. He made it so easy for them to get at him.

BE PREPARED

Everyone is telling you how to NOT catch #coronavirus, but NO ONE is saying what to do if you get it. Thanks to this nurse in the UK for putting this guide together:

Finally, some sensible advice. From a GP Nurse in the UK.

What I have seen a lot of are recommendations for how to try to avoid getting coronavirus in the first place:

• good hand washing
• personal hygiene
• social distancing

but what I have NOT seen a lot of is advice for what happens if you actually get it, which many of us will.
So as your friendly neighborhood Nurse let me make some suggestions:

If you get Covid-19

You basically just want to prepare as though you know you’re going to get a nasty respiratory bug, like bronchitis or pneumonia. You just have the foresight to know it might come your way!

Things to start doing now:

Get 20 minutes sun on your entire body (or as much as possible) every day. This will dramatically increase your Vitamin D levels, which improves your immune system.

If affordable take a good general supplement, plus 2000mg Vit C a day. Include ZINC, SELENIUM & GLUTATHIONE.

Scott’s Emulsion is a great general tonic (cod liver oil)

Things you should actually buy ahead of time:

*Kleenex*

*Paracetamol*

*Cough medicine* of choice (check the label and make sure you're not doubling up on Paracetamol)

*Zinc lozenges*

*Throat spray* like Andolex or TCP

*Honey and lemon* can work just as well!

*Vicks* vaporub for your chest is also a great suggestion.

*A humidifier* would be a good thing to buy and use in your room when you go to bed overnight. (You can also just turn the shower on hot and sit in the bathroom breathing in the steam)

*If you have a history of asthma* and you have a prescription inhaler, make sure the one you have isn’t expired and refill it/get a new one if necessary.

*Meals* This is also a good time to meal prep: make a big batch of your favorite soup to freeze and have on hand.

*Hydrate* hydrate, hydrate! Stock up on whatever your favorite clear fluids are to drink, though tap water is fine you may appreciate some variety!

*For symptom management* and a fever over 38°c take Paracetamol rather than Ibuprofen.

*Rest lots* You should not be leaving your house! Even if you are feeling better you may will still be infectious for fourteen days and older people and those with existing health conditions should be avoided!

*Wear gloves and a mask* to avoid contaminating others in your house

*Isolate* in your bedroom if not living alone, ask friends and family to leave supplies outside to avoid contact.

*Sanitize* your bed linen and clothes frequently by washing and clean your bathroom with recommended sanitizers.

*You DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL unless* you are having trouble breathing or your fever is very high (over 39°C) and unmanaged with meds.

90% of healthy adult cases thus far have been managed at home with basic rest/hydration/over-the-counter meds.

If you are worried or in distress or feel your symptoms are getting worse:

*Pre-existing risks* If you have a pre-existing lung condition (COPD, emphysema, lung cancer) or are on immunosuppressants, now is a great time to talk to your Doctor or specialist about what they would like you to do if you get sick.

*Children* One major relief to you parents is that kids do VERY well with coronavirus, they usually bounce back in a few days (but they will still be infectious) Just use pediatric dosing .

*Be calm and prepare rationally* and everything will be fine. This is to inform us all that the pH for corona virus varies from 5.5 to 8.5.

All we need to do, to beat corona virus, we need to take more of an alkaline foods that are above the above pH level of the Virus.

Some of which are:

*Lemon - 9.9pH*
*Lime - 8.2pH*
*Avocado - 15.6pH*
*Garlic - 13.2pH*
*Mango - 8.7pH*
*Tangerine - 8.5pH*
*Pineapple - 12.7pH*
*Dandelion - 22.7pH*
*Orange - 9.2pH*

How do you know you have coronavirus?

1. Itching in the throat
2. Dry throat
3. Dry couch
4. High temperature
5. Shortness of breath
6. Loss of sense of taste & smell
7. Covid toes - toes turning blue/black
8. Repeated sneezing.

Some or all of the above

So where you notice these things quickly take warm/hot water with lemon and drink. (You may add chopped garlic, ginger, teaspoon turmeric )

Do not keep this information to yourself only. Pass it to all your family and friends.
Where did you get this info from..Are you sure they are correct? We are dealing with human lives here. The reason why I have my reservation with this write-up is because I doubt whoever wrote it is a Professional- either medic or scientist. Otherwise he/she wouldn't make the elementary error of giving the pH of certain food values as high as 22.7 and 15.6 when we all know from basic sciences that pH values cannot exceed 14, 0-6 (acidic), 7 (neutral) and 8-14 (alkaline). I'd be very careful to take the recommendation of such a person seriously.

Buhari has no option than to support the works because he is Nigeria president and not northern president, as for Ekweremmadu, I praised him because he utilized the same resources shared to his fellow senate, what if he misused the money like other senators?
He has an option. As far as the average Igbo man knows, he's a Northern President and not Nigerian one. He's not under any compulsion to do projects in specific parts of the country. He could choose to prioritize, but he's open hearted enough to do these kinds of projects in a region where he is hated passionately and would never support him even if he brings heaven down there. Most politicians do things in places where they hope to get votes in return. Inspite of Buhari knowing he would not get any meaningful votes in the South East and would get scorn and hate in return, he's doing things like this there. Only few reasonable opposition politicians like Ekweremadu and Obiano understand this, unlike saboteurs like Saraki.

No single mention of the Buhari-led Federal Government that you guys love to hate who's doing these projects. It's Ekweremadu you're praising like he's doing it with his personal money. If Buhari is playing politics of bitterness like your folks accuse him of, do you think he'd accept to do all these projects on Ekweremadu's request?

I have personally decided that Lagos is a place to make money and go back home. I cannot call it home since they wont accept me. My Children will be trained in such a way that they will understand that they are strangers here.
What is pathetic about that? Can a Yoruba person born and bred in say Anambra benefit any such things you're expecting to benefit in Lagos? Why then do you think it should be the other way round in Lagos. Was it not Abia state government that disengaged some civil servants that were Igbos bot not Abians some years back. At least that can never happen in Lagos - the sacking of Yorubas that are not native Lagosians. There are even a handful of Igbos in the Lagos State Civil service. That can never happen anywhere in the East.

"If APC beats PDP fair and square like they did in Gombe, Plateau etc, nobody will complain" This your quoted statement is a big lie. Read through the comments on this thread and see that your fellow PDP apologists are saying APC can never win any free and fair election, and the amount of likes such idiotic statements attract.
