NYSCRe: Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) Members by shilling(f): 5:06am On Jun 24, 2012
My dad was the President of his Nccf batch in Bauchi in the late 80s. As a kid in Bauchi, my dad was a senior friend (I think that's what it's called??) for many years until we relocated. I would accompany to preach at the Nccf fellowships.

I remember going through the Nccf batch books or whatever they were called (the year books with the names and contact info of corpers that were passing out). I wanted to become a corper just to be part of Nccf lol. I'm 21 now, almost done with uni and living in Canada, so I know it's probably not gonna happen.
RomanceRe: Question: Why Do Guys Choose Sports Over Their Partners? by shilling(f): 4:49am On Jun 24, 2012
I understand Mrs Chima's point but I can't really complain cos I also watch various sports games, esp soccer. Totally crazy about Man Utd lol

Also, I can understand why he will be distracted cos my friends and I are really into some Tv shows and when we meet up to watch it, we don't need any distractions cos we don't want to miss any minute of it.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Things Sleep Can Make You Do by shilling(f): 8:25pm On Jun 15, 2012
T girlie: This happened last week. When i came back from work, i was tired and decided to have some rest, i slept off and woke up around 6:18, within me i felt i was late for work the next day and that my alarm had gone bad since i was expecting it to wake up by 5:00 am. I had to rush up and prepare water to bath because i don't want to go to work late when i realised it was 6:18 pm not 6:18 am of the same day. Lol, hmmn sleep.
Haha...something similar happens to me when I fly through various time zones.

Sagamite: 1. Given your correct number/contact details out to a guy but refused to pick up the guy’s call or reply to messages.

2. Given a wrong number/contact details out to a guy.

3. Rude to a guy that approached you simply because you don’t fancy him, not because he did something wrong.

4. Rude to a guy that approached you simply because you wanted to use him to show off/shine in public, not because he did something wrong.

5. Ended a relationship with a guy by starting and/or consistently starting a fight to get him to break up with you or so you can break up with him by saying it is not working out.

6. Cheated on a guy.

7. Gone on a date with a guy (for which he is paying) despite the fact you know you are unlikely to date him, just to have a free day out and get out of the house to be pampered.

8. Lead a guy on despite not being interested just to boost your ego or test your worth in the market.

9. Cancelled a date on a guy at short notice without giving, or even having, a reasonable explanation to [give] him.

10. Already started taking applications (give your number out to guys you like) or lined up another suitor before breaking up with a guy.

11. Harass a guy that you want a type of relationship where you “tell each other everything and where there are no secrets” but yet you have secrets you refuse to share and hide from him after that agreement is made.

12. Break up with a guy (normally a long-term one), because you are not sure or you want the freedom to explore more, but you try and keep him as a friend just in case you need to go back to him.

Is there any woman that can claim she has never done any one of the above?

Thanks for the info CC. I've been reading reviews about the product online however, some people say that the oils sticks to your bathtub and could leave it slippery and hard to clean. Have you noticed this?

chaircover: I found this product in Boots called Flake away by soap and glory. Its a body scrub and leaves skin feeling softer than a babys butt & with a healthy and beautiful glow.

It costs £7.00 a tub and the tub should last you a week. The best time to use it is at night. Funny enough I have been seeing it in Boots before now, but didnt go anywhere near it until my sister recommended it.

So ladies, I am expecting you to come back and tell us of your experience with oga after use. wink grin.

UncleJJ: Traffic is no good if it does not convert. Their are places you can get 10K uniques per day but its not worth it. Proper SEO begins with keyword research.
And seo varies - whitehat, blackhat and greyhat.

You guys are still learning tongue I've got a blog doing 40k/month average $1000/month in cash - if you doubt i can show you my traffic logs and a part of my dorm account statement..... wink
Mind sharing your secrets to $1000/month? My brother's site has an average of 30-40k views per month and he's making around $50/month lol.

CelebritiesRe: Phillip Phillips Is The New American Idol by shilling(f): 3:40am On May 25, 2012
Had no interest in the finale but still watched it, sooo boring. Jessica and Phillip have such boring personalities I have to say. Anyways, yeah I think Joshua should have won or at least been in the final but I am fine with the fact that Phillip won because he is very talented and humble.

To all those talking about racism, yeah right! We've had 3 AA American Idol winners, 2 AA The Voice USA winners, a duo comprising of a black man won Dancing With The Stars a few days ago. Where was racism there? The fact is that most idol voters are teen girls (who could spend the whole night voting for their idol). Phillip is waay hotter than Joshua imo, so I can see why he was voted out. It's a given that he'll still be successful though, and might even be more successful than Phillip. Not too sure about the marketability of Phillip's genre, and all that talk about the possibility of him surpassing Scotty's album sales is prob not gonna happen. Let's face it, country is still the best selling genre in terms of album sales.

ypzilanti: not a bad nature to be assertive as a woman. I love seeing it in my woman WHEN DEALING WITH OTHER PEOPLE. With me, she's calm as a mouse...persuasive not assertive. Guess what? Im gonna marry her. Find a guy u respect and admire. If u dont have any or have never seen a man u respect, pls stay single for the sake of peace.
Haha. . . sounds like me. I believe that's a good balance.

lagcity: i can imagine how hot hilary was when she was in her 20s.
She wasn't hot, and neither was Bill Clinton. If you don't believe me, read her biography (she includes photos). They both met in law school, and Bill's appearance was quite hippie-ish and particularly shocking.

kay9: Didn't know she unwinds. Weird, i think i dislike her less.
Yeah, she does. She's actually pretty laid back. Check out http://textsfromhillary.tumblr.com/ for some LOLZ!

Don't know what a viewing center is, but it's always more fun to watch a game with a bunch of people. Whether it's UTD playing or a team I really hate such as Barca, when I get together with friends, and friends of friends maybe in pubs; it's always more fun.
TravelRe: A Thread For Travel Enthusiasts! by shilling(f): 1:40am On Apr 12, 2012
Favorite airline: KLM. Emirates and SAA would be no 2/3 respectively.

Where I've been:
1. South Africa: Lived in Botswana for a few years so of course I visited SA.

2. Ethiopia: Was kinda surreal because it was so beautifully ancient.

3. Traveled around the USA when I lived in the States:
-Road tripped across the Mid-west: North Dakota/South Dakota/Montana/Wyoming/Minnesota.
-Took the train from Minneapolis to Chicago. Chi-town is beautiful!!
-2011 Spring Break in Long Beach/LA
-Have also visited Denver & Seattle.

4. Travelled a lil bit in Canada. I live in Canada, so I guess it doesn't count.

Where I'm visiting:
England/Wales/Scotland in less than a month.

Fun story:
During my trip to Chicago last summer, I was in the downtown area just being a tourist. I got to Millennium Park where there were police men everywhere. I love the cops so I started chatting with them and found out that it was the inauguration of the newly elected Mayor Rahm Emanuel. I got into the park and stood for hours before the ceremony started which I didn't mind because I was quite close to the stage. Throughout the ceremony, I kept Facebooking/Tweeting what was going on, to discover that my friends in other parts of the States were watching it on TV while I was there live. I felt special haha. It was a beautiful ceremony, and I'm glad I was a part of it!

PoliticsPolitical Science Paper abt The Politics Of Shari'a Law, Boko Haram. Brainstorm! by shilling(op): 1:50am On Apr 05, 2012
Hi everyone,

I'm writing a Political Science paper titled "The politics of Shari'a law in Nigeria". I examine shari'a law in Nigeria, past and present, leading up to the current Boko Haram issue of course. I then explore reason(s) why the Nigerian government has taken such a lukewarm approach in dealing with this issue. I have done quite a bit of research about this, however I still haven't decided on an angle or possible angles to pursue.

My question is: What do you think is the politics behind the Nigerian government's lukewarm approach to the issue. Specifically Mr President and his cabinet. If you can give scholarly sources to back your response that would be better smiley))

Thanks for your help!

PS: Remember this quote by former President Obasanjo in August 2000, “I think shari’a will fizzle out. To confront it is to keep it alive.” Is Jonathan using the same tactic on Boko Haram? I want to know what you think!

Fhemmmy: That is what is missing these days, i remember when and how we used to get some nice punishment and that helped us to be who we are today, not all kids will "go to your room, go to the corner" will work for.
Nope. Spanking doesn't work cos like you probably know, after a while you get immune to spanking and it becomes a routine. Lots of children will tell you that when they did something wrong and their parents who usually spank chose not to and used another form of punishment instead, it hurt more than spanking. You spank the child, and it's over with, and that's why I said punish where it hurts. By punishment, I don't mean "go to your room", that won't work on an older kid. I'm glad that my parents realized when I was quite young that spanking doesn't work, and I turned out pretty good if I may say so myself (and so did my siblings). Like you said, every child is different.
RomanceRe: Falling In Luv With Someone Who Advises You In Ur Relationship. Why? by shilling(f): 12:48pm On Mar 29, 2012
Interesting post, and this happened to me as well. A good friend of mine always confided in me when he had problems with his gf. They broke up, got back together and broke up again. Then he said he had feelings for me. Though I was single, there was no way on earth I was gonna go out with him cos I already knew his r/ship flaws. Who's to say that what he did to his ex-gf, he won't do to me huh?
