Romance › Re: How Do I Convince A Girl To Accept Me After She Said No? by SoapQueen(f): 8:09pm On May 10, 2018 |
Bibble: There's this girl I've been seeing around for a while now and she's really pretty. I liked her the first day I saw her and I got to know her and we became friends.
We've become really close of recent to the extent that everyone thinks she's my babe. We've become partners of sorts and she calls me everyday.
Now, I know the kind of person she is and I didn't want to waste my time carrying the illusion on my mind thinking she's become mine so I spoke to her concerning how I felt towards her. I poured my feelings to her and she told me that she had heard, we hugged and departed. That night, I sent her a love message.
The next day, we met and I reminded her to tell me her response regarding what we discussed the previous night. She told me her answer is no and nothing can happen between us. I was surprised by her answer but I didn't allow her see it. I tried making some jokes about her not saying it from her mind but she said she was really serious and meant what she said, that she can't date me.
I don't know what to do now, I really like this girl and I think I have one last shot at convincing her in why she should accept me and why I'm perfect for her. She was saying something about everything being too fast because this is our second week of being close together like we are now. I refuse to believe that's the case.
Please, I need help. How do I convince her to be mine? What words do I say now at this stage that would make her rethink her decision? Thank you guys..
I'm meeting her this night and I think tonight is the last audience she would grant me before our relationship goes awkward.. Help a brother.. Time is of essence! Stop pressurizing her. Stop pressurizing yourself. You are acting too obsessed and it will scare her. Men that are quick to "fall in love " are those that "fall out of love" quickly. Free the girl. |

TonyeBarcanista: Who cares about Elizabeth Taylor or whatever?
In old times women of erratic behavior were in the minority. They were even ashamed to publicly display their misconduct. Virtues were not only encouraged but embraced by majority and rewarded accordingly. Your Elizabeth Taylor (abi na Tailor) was not and never the ideal model! That she was famous will never change this fact!
Unlike these days were erratic conduct are not only encouraged but rewarded. We are in age where people's ambition is to be baby mama for one rich kid or a successful dude. An age where ladies are interested in harvesting from men rather than stand with men. An age where it is fine to extort husband/fiancé till he takes to crime to satisfy the insatiable desires. An age where "Yahoo Boys" are motivated to remain in the crime just to be able to get the girls they wouldn't have got if they stick to legitimate hustling...
My Dear, abeg my hand no de jare... Make I face my front biko I really wish you practice what you preach, my dear. Want to tell me that a lady who has legit dreams and aspirations has never approached you for support (not financial) to kick start her career? Smiles. |
Romance › Re: Nigerian Men In Usa, Killing Their Imported Wives From Nigeria. by SoapQueen(f): 7:45pm On May 10, 2018 |
Very sad.
Men should stop taking full responsibility of a woman's education. If her father cannot train her, you could help her start a small business that will support her through school. She should hustle like every other person, there are people doing it. If she is abroad, let her take up jobs to save or she should stay at home and have babies.
See where their love for living "la vi da loca" has gotten them. Everyone lost!
See how these poor men who meant well for their wives will spend the best years of their lives locked behind bars.
Nigerian women in the Diaspora from what I hear, can sometimes be uncouth, especially those who were flown abroad by their spouses. |

TonyeBarcanista: This is blatant lie in this modern era. It was however true in the days of old where women saw themselves as people of virtue not objects of sexual gratification.
ADVICE TO YOUNG MEN
A man that is waiting for one woman(exception of mothers) to support him before achieving his goal has high chance of dying a failed man.
Women these days are waiting to "enjoy" the benefit of a successful man rather than support a man to be successful... This is without prejudice to the noble efforts of a minute number of young ladies of virtues While "literature " on how industrious African women of the 20th century were, is scarce, I would like to let you know that their white counterparts were nothing close to what you mentioned above. Think of women like Elizabeth Taylor and the rest, these women married more than 5 times and were known to value their diamonds more than men. Cher and Diana Ross are not on talking terms till date because of a man. So, who exactly are these women of old that you are heaping praises on? |

Romance › Re: Baby Daddy Situation by SoapQueen(f): 3:59am On May 10, 2018 |
Gcpc: Hi all,
I had a baby with my ex boyfriend. We were dating for 3 years and talking taking it to the next level when I got pregnant. He wanted me to get an abortion, I refused so he bailed on me.
I had no sign from him whatsoever for 18 months. I had to take him to court before he made a U turn and decided to be part of the baby’s life. It’s been almost a year and he is an OK dad. Since his “comeback”, he has been very insistent on getting back together. I still have feelings for him and would like my baby to have a typical family but I can’t get over the betrayal.
Lately, my mum has been staying with us to help me with my child. Since her arrival, he refuses to come home visit his daughter and will only call me on work hours when I’m not home.
My mum has always been very nice and welcoming to him. They never had any issues and even when he abandoned me pregnant, she never called him, tried to make a scene or reached out to any of his family members.
Now I see his behavior as another sign of the fact that he only wants casual “drives by” with his baby mama. He says he will “eventually” meet her but doesn’t feel ready to face her.
Am I overthinking this ?Should I give this a try ? Stop sleeping with him if you still are, don't take in again. He is either trying to be evasive because he abandoned you earlier or he is a coward who doesn't love you enough to wife you. |
