borie4u: u guys are not helping new people at all with these discussion. Its seems this thread is for people who already have 90% info that is needed for this Canada Skilled Visa Thingy. You should read from the beginning of this thread before throwing tantrums. We have emphasized the need to read through the experience of people and add that to the instruction on www.cic.gc.ca This is supposed to be a thread for skilled workers and a lot of people have shared experience and first hand info necessary for anybody to be a successful FSWP applicant. If you have specific questions which you think have not been dealt with on the thread you can always ask.loads of experienced people are on hand to assist. If you take out time to diligently study what's written on the thread you'd see how much wealth of info is here for anybody to comprehend. |

debbiejosh: @solomon wise and other people who have gotten PER, the reference letters gotten from one's employer should be addressed to who, or should it be left as to whom it may concernIt should be addressed To Whom It May concern. |
atoyen: I would like to find out if there is a time frame for the money to be saved in your account. I mean do I have to leave the CAD11k in my account for a certain duration while other activities go on in the account and then print out statement for the application. How long exactly do I have to leave the money running in my account? At the initial stage of application, you don't necessarily have to have kept the fund in the account for any period of time. As long as your bank statement shows the naira equivalent of what is applicable to you and family. You will be asked at a later stage to present a statement showing transaction history over time with the balance required for your application. |
JideVince: I think KLM is best for direct flights but Emirates is cheaper but longer( Lagos-Dubai-London). Please Don Oms, shed more light on this.KLM doesn't do direct flights to the UK. |
johnchacks13: Hi All,1.The time it takes is dependent on the speed of delivery of the postal service in India. You can approach the postal service organisation in india to confirm the rate of delivery. 2.You can order for duplicate copy of the ECA to be delivered via courier at an additional cost. 3.You can not submit your application to CIC without the hardcopy of your ECA |
mramosr85: Hi everyone. I'm gathering the required documents to apply under the FSWP. My occupation has already reached its cap this year, so my question is: when a cap is reached CIC just stops receiving applications in that occupation, or what they do is receive and pile applications in a queue for next year - beginning in may 2014? I mean, can I send my application, lets say, on May 1, 2014, and be among the first applicants next year?If you send in your application when the cap for your eligible occupation is reached,CIC will return your application back to you. They don't keep application in queue. There's no guarantee your eligible occupation will be listed for next year's intake hence they return application for re-application. Yes you can send in your application next year when CIC starts receiving new applications and only when your eligible occupation is listed. |
prupru: solomonwiseI would rather answer that question when all is set,I mean when you have your ECA and IELTS result. Maybe before the result is released the cap for 2263 would have reached or maybe not. So get your documents ready first. |
prommy12: Thanks dear.... Will d IELTS result determine d applicants fate.Yes the IELTS test result among others will determine the eligibility of the applicant. An applicant has to score a minimum of band score 6.0 in each of the language abilities in IELTS to be awarded any point under language. |
The entry clearance officer said he isn't satisfied my financial circumstances are as stated, I added my Land document, Plan, Deed of assignments, C of O, Governors consent, reference letter from my bank, account statements, this UK embassy is just shit I swear! I have a social tie here in Nigeria, I did the hotel booking with my credit dollar card. I have previous travel history to the middle east and south Africa, so what else do they want, i'm just weak! I hope my lawyer can make a case out of it and counter them.
I can understand your state of mind right now,I know how it feels to be refused an entry clearance. Let's hope your lawyer can make a case out of it like you said. Ensure you follow up with your lawyer for proper advice, afterall that's what he's paid to do. |
kay4kelvin: Hii house, plz am new on this thread, plz I seriously need ur advice on how to about an apeal on ban from the UK Embassy in Lagos.I kind of confused right now cos the ban was as result of a hotel reservation which was genuinely made and funds were taking. The British embassy claims to have contacted the hotel and was told otherwise.I called the hotel and they confirmed my reservation saying the Embassy did not call. The credit/debit card with which you book the hotel might be the problem. The hotel might have informed the UKBA that you used a fraudulent card to book for accommodation. You need to get that sorted out with the hotel first before facing the embassy. Before a ban is placed on anyone by the UKBA,they would have gotten documentary evidence of fraudulent act and I suspect that must have been stated in the refusal notice. I don't see you winning an appeal{which you appear not entitled to in the first place}. Get yourself sorted out with hotel, get the details of your accommodation booking with the hotel and confirm they didn't suspect you using a fraudulent card, then you can take it from there. |
The ECO stated he isn't satisfied that I am genuinely seeking entry as a visitor or that I intend to leave the uk at the end of your visit 41 (i) (ii) 41(vi) (vii)
That is still not the reason for the refusal! Reproduce the refusal notice like I said earlier. From the look of things you don't seem to understand the main reason{s} for your refusal,so you need to reproduce the refusal notice verbatim {removing personal details}. |
prommy12: Thanks solomowis, God bless.. Pls must I have a canadian certificate before applying and must I also have someone in canada. Will d result of d test determine d applicants fate. You don't necessarily have to have a Canadian certificate, all you need do with whatever educational credentials you have is to approach an approved agency for evaluation and they'd tell you the canadian equivalence of your credentials. You don't necessarily need to have any relative in canada although it will add to your score points if you do. I don't understand the last part of your question. I don't know the test you are referring to,pls clarify. |
barinnbomi: SolomonwisThat's all you need to do,they will charge your account at the appropriate time. |
barinnbomi: SolomonwisOnline payment for FSWP? No,you can not pay online, you either fill your credit/debit card details in the appropriate form {IMM5620E} or you include your bank draft along with form IMM5620E in your application. If you attempt to pay online through that link, your card will be charged and getting a refund will be difficult! |
prommy12: Hi solomonwis, how are you? Pls I want to ask some questions1.YES, I have seen many people migrate. Some of them are even on this thread FYI. 2. How much it will cost a family of 4 is dependent on the age of the children involved. For instance {I am going to assume the family of 4 consist of a father, mother and two children who are below 22 years of age and are unmarried}- the application fee for the father and mother will be CAD$550 each and each of the children will pay CAD$150 each. Anybody from 22 years and above will pay CAD$550{This also applies to anybody below 22 years who is married}. You are expected to show a proof of settlement fund and for a family of 4 that will amount to CAD$20,654. |
I was refused a uk visa yesterday on the grounds of evidence of funds only section 43 ( (v) (vi); I was so confused, I submitted my business account statement of 3.7m naira and dollar acct statement of $14,677 usd, so I met with an immigration lawyer today for an administrative review. And i'm just really hoping i'm given the Visa.
How do you mean “on the grounds of evidence of funds”? Can you reproduce the refusal notice {leaving out personal details} so the real reason{s} for your refusal can be pointed out and appropriate advice given? |
blossom84: hello, Please what is the validity of IELTS result and how long does WES takes to evaluate resultsIELTS result is valid for two {2} years only. The duration of evaluation by WES is dependent on a number of factors such as the speed at which your educational institution dispatch your transcript, the speed at which they verify your certificate, the speed at which your educational documents get to WES,etc. AGW,it takes only 7 days from the date your complete documents get to WES to evaluate your credentials. |
barinnbomi: solomonwisYou can't pay online for processing fee for FSWP! You either pay with your credit/debit card or with a bank draft drawn on a bank in Canada. |
vncntybnz: Good day!!! I have yet to submit my application for the FSWP under the NOC category 2147. I need your advice please. Can I still make it this year? Or should I wait until next yearPlease wait till next year and pray 2147 will be listed in the eligible occupations for next year. |
barinnbomi: SolomonwisThe answer is in the link you provided earlier http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg76 (Your name) (Your Address) (Your Postal Code) Citizenship and Immigration Canada Federal Skilled Worker NOC Category, Offer of Arranged Employment category or PhD category Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX 49 Dorchester Street Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2 Canada Note:NOC category is the eligible occupation under which you want your application assessed while Primary NOC 2011 code is the code for the eligible occupation you want your application assessed. |
brownee06: Yeepy!!!! I got my PER just nowCongratulations! It is the beginning of greater positive things to come! |
alexito48201: Good day solomonwise does accra send AorYes,AOR is sent by the responsible visa office and for applicants from Nigeria, the Accra Visa Office send AOR. |
xtus: TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU! |
barinnbomi: SolomonwisIf sending by courier, there's no need to affix any postage stamp. The NOC code is the code under which you want your application assessed. The primary occupation and NOC code are as listed on the NOC website. Basically, you need to quote the code for the eligible occupation under which you want your application assessed. I believe your question is in relation to filling form imm0008,if it is,just fill in the code for your eligible occupation. |
Vicjustice: Well done Solomonwis, excellent jobThanks @Vicjustice. |
jahing: Yes, he is the sole business...in the directors name, it has his name, mine and my brother...as I said earlier, the transaction in the account is great and business is doing well. Infact, if he wants to give me money for something, he gives me check from this same account. It is the account we use on daily doings. The problem is that there is no other account to use if my dad is the sponsor.Ok. Given your responses, you may be able to use the company account for the purpose of study permit application. However, you will need to include board resolution with which the company permit you to use the company account for the purpose. Please read more and make further enquiries here https://www.nairaland.com/1229480/travelling-canada-part-4/423 |
jahing: I don't work...i just graduated from the University 2011. I am trying to apply for study permit for my master degree programme. Not married just a normal guyIs your dad the sole owner of the business? How will he prove the money in the business account {which is meant for his business} will be made available for the purpose of your study in Canada? Yes your dad can sponsor you but using solely his business account for sponsorship is a cry for the moon. |
bayulll01: solomon wise i don come again oo,can you pls help me on the amount needed to send my application and pls can i use my normal master card to do the transaction.am i sure of refunds if my application were rejected, and finally base on experience, on which condition do they confirm working experience and will it be mail to the comapny or they will call.hope to hear from you soon. The amount needed to send your application depends on the medium through which you intend dispatching the application as well as the weight of the application.if you intend using a courier service{which is highly recommended},it is best to approach the courier service provider of your choice to know the cost implication. If you have not been using the Mastercard for normal online transactions,it is best you approach a bank that can issue bank draft payable in Canada{I understand GT Bank offers this service for a fee}. From experience however, a whole lot of people have used their normal mastercard without any hassle. I really don't understand the last question regarding the basis for which work references are confirmed. Anything and everything you submit can be confirmed for authenticity and genuity and if anything, you might be called in for an interview{this is however a rare case}, They can choose to use whatever medium expedient to confirm anything and everything submitted along with your application, the concern should be the authenticity of the documents submitted and not the medium of confirmation of such. |
jahing: My father is the owner of the company and he is my sponsor. He doesnt even have a personal account he is using,he is using the company account as his savings. You know Nigerian mentality ..It is only abroad they have company account different from savings. He has been using this account for the past 15 years if i can remember and other accounts he has too are company accounts. He doesnt have savings.I was told the embassy only interested in the transaction histories, please how through is that. I just pray Nigeria is a better country and we dont have to stress this much just for earning a visa. Thank you guys and please reply to my former.I understand your dad is the financier but like I mentioned earlier your personal circumstances will come in to question during the process of going through your application. What do you do presently?do you earn anything in terms of income?do you have any business/asset? Are you married or have any dependent in any way or are u in any way responsible for the upkeep of anybody?do you have any financial capability sufficient for the trip and even beyond? All of these will be questioned not those of your sponsor. If you can answer those questions then solution may be proferred on the best way to approach your application. |
Hotstepper: Solomonwis, please if someone studied one of the courses above nd only have 1 year internship experience, can she apply? Also if someone read Electrical Engineering but works as a petroleum engineer now, can she apply? One year internship will qualify as long as it is a paid internship. The question will be how an intern with a one year work experience meet up the other requirements. whichever way,you have to meet the minimum 67 points. An electrical engineer with work experience in petroleum engineering will also qualify as long as educational qualification is deemed equivalent to that of a canadian and the work experience can be attested to by the employer. |
