BrizzyA: HiI suspect scam! Your sister might be a target for scam. Did she apply for any job in the UK? what's your sister's discipline and what job is she being offered? Was an interview conducted? Just out of curiousity, why are you *so confused right now" on behalf of your sister? |
zeelo2014: I got a mail from WES 2 days ago that my evaluation has been completed. Where & when do I receive it? Will it be sent to my postal address or contact address? ThanksWES will post your result to the address you provided on your portal with them. They will send it via regular mail (NIPOST) except where you opt for international express mail where you will pay an extra charge for express delivery. |
jk2013: @Maskuraid and solomonwis, I've only just joined this forum just to get valid info about the FWP 2013. I've taken all day to read through all the threads and indeed i'm confident that people who are very knowledgeable and have accurate info are really doing a great job on this forum just to assist others. maskuraid: @jk2013 |
kike100: @solomonwis, please can i have your email addy?Apologies for the belated response. Trust I've answered your queries to a satisfactory extent. Ciao! |
scrollmeout: Hi guys,Yes WES will verify anything and everything to authenticate the genuity of whatever credentials you present. The duration of verification/authentication is dependent on the medium of communication between your school and WES as well as the response time to WES queries. |
henry4fun: [hello the gurus,The steps to take have been outlined in the previous posts. Just read through from the beginning and you'd be enlightened. If after reading through, you feel there are questions that have not been answered then you can ask. I wish you luck! |
thebaft: Absolutely! With of course, the emphasis being on the phrase "not advisable" instead of "not acceptable".Either ways, you don't bin your hard earned quid on an unnecessarily over zealous venture! |
thebaft: Isn't that what I said earlier? You see the thing is, in this part of the world (Nigeria) it is not advisable for anyone to go for upfront medical as the outcome of your visa application is dependent on a number of factors and given the visa refusal rate, it will be a waste of money, time and energy. Again, the duration of visa processing (especially with paper application) does not encourage for upfront medical. (This is in respect to TRV) I know for certain upfront medical is not advisable for FSWP (with the exception of some family class permanent resident applicants). Bottom line: Medical ought to be done after an instruction is issued to undergo and submit medical result (by applicants from Nigeria). |
thebaft: I am not applying for a study permit. But one cannot go wrong with instructions from the CIC website.Oh I see! No wonder....Please before you confuse the guy, refer him to the thread for people with Study Permit application experience and If he's interested in FSWP (as I'd want to believe) please do not advise him to go for "upfront medicals". It is a complete waste of money and energy! |
thebaft: Step 3, Bullet 3Bottom line: SUBMIT QUICKLY WITH YOUR APPLICATION (As you'd be given further instructions). Ask those who apply for Study Permit! |
thebaft: Once again, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/delay.aspOLD MAN, there was nowhere in the link where medical was to be done prior to instructions being issued. You were only advised to get your medicals done QUICKLY(as soon as possible)! |
thebaft: There is no problem with having your medical examinations done upfront. However, the only medical examination results accepted by CIC must by done by a CIC approved medical practitioner. Your own doctor cannot do the medical examination. Also, medical examinations are only valid for one year. And when they do expire, you must perform another medical examination. From the trends, processing of FSW 2013 applications may take more than one year to complete. This means that your upfront medical examination results may expire before the processing is complete. I heard that medical exam costs by CIC approved medical practitioners cost around NGN28,000.00 per person and per examination. So if you pay NGN28,000.00 now, you will pay another NGN28,000.00 if your medical results expire before processing is complete.I disagree with your submission here. For Canada, Medical examination prior to being instructed is not acceptable either for study permit or otherwise. You need to be instructed before you can go for medical examination. |
obygirl4eva: Dear Solomonwis and fellow niarlanderWhatever change that has occurred since you received your PER can always be communicated with your case officer. You can contact your case officer at anytime during the process as soon as you know who your case officer is. Of course they don't expect your circumstance to be static all through the process,so whatever it is that has changed MUST be communicated and the appropriate documentation of the changes forwarded as soon as demanded by your case officer. |
atoyen: Hello SolomonHow did you do the "upfront medicals" and which hospital did you do that? Whatever change is in the family composition should be communicated to your case officer as soon as practicable. The principal applicants work experience in the last 10 years counts towards point for experience. His work experience reference letter will suffice. I'm trying to marry the "salary being paid by month end" with your question on pension funds. Does it mean that you don't have the proof of settlement fund readily available? Please read the previous post about using pension funds and other funds as proof of settlement. So long as you can prove that the funds are unencumbered then you can use it. |
nanonye: Guys please I have a question before mailing my application tomorrow (Tueaday). In the 'Mail The Application' section of the Application Guide, it states dimensions for the envelopes. I find this surprising. Please guys does this really matter or should I ensure I get an envelope with these dimensions? With CIC, it is always best to keep to specifications/instructions. Documents that are specifically mentioned in your documents checklist are more than enough for submission. |
Here is a question no one has every asked nor answered correctly since I have been following this forum. If someone who sells Garri or someone who runs a cybercafe or a mechanic or spare-part dealer wants to apply for a Uk tourist Visa, As the business owner, They dont receive salaries nor receive payslips , just a business registration and a bank account on their names. Does that mean because they don't receive monthly salary they cannot apply for UK Visa? Please answer..... Is uk visa only for Salary earners ?
UK visa is not just for salary earners but for people who have proper documentation of their personal circumstances. As you are not physically interviewed, your (genuine) documents will speak volume of your personal circumstances and that will help the ECO to arrive at a safe conclusion on the balance of probability whether you merit a visa or not.Unfortunately, self employed persons in Nigeria tend not to keep adequate record for anybody to assess their personal circumstances hence the difficulty (not impossibility)they face in securing an entry clearance. Bottom line, if you are self employed try as much as you can to have your personal circumstance documented. |
I'm sorry if I sounded like I work for CIC,in actual fact I don't. I will be happy to see you announce the receipt of your PER here. Best of luck! peace offering: @solomonwise nawa for u o.I've bn studying u 4 quite some time and I noticed u hv some attitude.are u CIC such that u would knw if some1 has nt got a PER under 1112 dt the person should forget it until next year.u shuld nt be pessimistic all because u hv passed all that stage.all I did was ask a simple question,u dint hv 2 gv me dt answer, all u needed 2 do was to say 'u don't knw' n I'm very sure u don't.I'm sure u noticed dt some1 whose application was received on the 13th of august by cic just got his PER yestrday.I'm sure if he had asked u the same question last week u would hv given him the same pessimistic answer u gv me too.Pls relax sometimes,cz u r nt God, the giver of all good things n He is the one that will mk our PER come to us in the coming weeks by His grace.FYI,our application was received on the 19th of august, and some1's whose application was received on the 13th of august just got his PER,kindly do the the maths.infact our application was received a few minutes after CIC updated the noc 1112 as 292 dt day on the 19th,so I guess ours fell in the 292-295 number of applications, and it may be because of that dt the processing of our application is a bit late cz if we dint mk d cap,we should hv received it back by nw even wt snailmail.anyway,d guy who just got his PER has given me hope and pls a word of advise,if u don't hv an answer to something, just ignore pride and say 'u don't knw' and stop being a pessimist on this thread cz u r nt CIC.will let u knw as soon as we get our PER by His grace this coming weeks.tnx n peace |

valentino81: my people. I tried to pay for WES evaluation now with my gtbank master card, and the response in the card no is invalid. has anyone experience this, or is there any convinient method for the payment? thanks.Try using a zenith Bank Master Card. |
valentino81: thanks for ur quick response. I'm trying to file application to WES before sending the documents. which of the two do i need for the FSWP; WES ICAP or WES basic? I need response ASAP!You need to be careful in your choice. Go for WES evaluation specifically for FSWP. I'm not sure WES basic is good enough for FSWP. Please make further enquiries here contactca@wes.org I know a lot of people went via WES basic and had to pay extra to upgrade to WES evaluation specifically for FSWP. Please make enquiries directly from WES before you conclude on which one to go for. |
valentino81: @ Solomonwis, like how much did i need to have in my acct for mysef, my wife and a kid.$17,011CAD for a family of 3 as proof of settlement fund. |
nanonye: Guys, please does NYSC experience also count? Can I claim points for work experience with my NYSC Teaching job?NYSC experience counts only if it is paid work experience and you work for a minimum of approximately 40 hours per week. |
oiseoghae: Thanks alot, I appreciateYou are welcome always. |
oiseoghae: Please how long does it take between when your file is transfered to your Visa office and when you get a Medical call up?That depends on a number of factors and your case officer. If you've gotten that far, patience should be your watchword. |
johnchacks13: Hi,You are not likely to meet up for this year. Please wait and pray your occupation is listed among the eligible occupation for next year. |
Honestly, I can say for sure, but what I can say is that, the bank statement comes with a stamp n seal/watermark from the bank, that alone should be enuf verification. No shaking, a candle looses nothing from lighting another candle.
That is not enough authentication moreover, all of those are lost when uploaded online. So it takes much more than the watermark/seal to authenticate an SOA. |
pls try understand our point here, nobody is talking about anything fake here, the embassy have right to know what you have as balance in your SOA, but they have no right to know what you have as balance after you have submitted your SOA, If embassy wants to know if your acct still carries weight, they will call u for current SOA, one guy here na example,
I understand you well. If the embassy cannot verify your balance but can verify the authenticity of your bank statement isn't it logical that they invariably have confirmed your bank balance? I would not expect an account balance to be the same all through the process of TRV application processing and issuance but if they suspect anything about the statement presented then they can always confirm the authenticity. They might not have the powers to confirm balance as at when the statement was presented to the bank for verification {and they know this much} and that informs the idea of asking people to pay tuition and board. If at any point, they suspect anything they can always call the attention of the bank to it. Imagine a scenario of somebody who presented a statement of account with a balance of N30 million on October 1st 2013.such statement may be confirmed 15 days later, the balance might have changed as at 16th October 2013 but the balance as at 1st October should remain the same as presented to CDHC. If they want further prove, they can always call for it. Bottom line,it is not advisable to present anything that can not be vouched for. |
To people who think “the embassy have no right to know what you have as balance in your SOA”,I have bad news for you. You gave them the right to know everything and anything regarding the SOA you present for the purpose of securing a TRV. I have seen a refusal notice of somebody who doctored his SOA. He gave the right account info but the transactions and the account balance were doctored. The embassy wrote a strong worded letter telling him when they got the response from the bank detailing the fact that though he gave the right SOA details but the transactions and the balance were doctored. This is no hearsay, the guy was subsequently banned. Don't be deceived, when the embassy feels there's something fishy about your application {and they always find out because they are trained to do so} they will verify anything and everything about what you present to aid the issuance of TRV. Some might have scaled through because they are lucky {and not everybody will be that lucky} it doesn't make the process flawed. AGAIN,you gave the embassy the right to verify anything and everything presented for TRV when you sign at the end of your application. Many of us don't get to read the info before signing either via online route or paper route. They stated therein that the information may be shared with other bodies in accordance with subsection 8{2} of the Privacy Act.Information may be disclosed to bodies listed listed therein. EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING CAN/MAY BE CONFIRMED,you gave them the authority to when you sign your schedule 1 form IMM 5257{07-2013}. If you nurse the ambition of trying anything fake especially with Canada/UK you will be caught and the consequences will be damning. |
Homguy: Helo hauz! Tuale to all. I just graduated from pharmacy and in my service year. I dont want to further over there in canada but work instead. what are my chances of securing a job permit n permanent residence permit over there and procedure? I have made some research over this online bt a personal experience/guidance would really be appreciated. It is not totally impossible to secure a job in Canada but it is extremely difficult and demanding both on the job applicant and the would-be employer in Canada. This is moreso because your discipline is a regulated one in Canada. You'd have to be professionally certified to be able to work in Canada as a Pharmacist. As it is now, your best bet is to search for vacancies online, verify the genuity of the employer, send in your application and wait until they are willing to go through the hassle of securing a Labour Market Opinion from HRSDC {this is a prerequisite for securing a work permit}. The process is usually a long arduous one but it is worth it in the end if you are lucky to secure one. I'd advise in the mean time for you to register with the body controlling the Pharmacy profession in Canada and understand the basic requirements for membership before you burn your candle at both ends. |
13. Applying as a skilled migrant following through the country's process {Canada,Australia,New zealand,Denmark, etc have such programs in place} |
