Just present a group of people PRACTICING what you are saying and leave the remaining to right thinking persons, people will assess them to know how benefitial what you're saying! OK, so if the pope and the head of Islam finally reconcile their differences and super glue the Koran after the book of revelation ,will you now believe it as the word of God ? |

Nobody asked you to join any cult your incessant posts on Nairaland surely means you believe in convincing your fellowman to reason along with you. But in a situation where you can see 99% of people around you going about with dirty clothes and at the same time notice a GROUP whose clothes are ever clean and neat, then there is no sense further doubting the existence of a cleaning agent!
There are thousands of book regarded as inspired, the Bible is just one of them, if you don't believe in what is written in the book it's OK because many who also believe the Bible don't believe other books. But then there is a GROUP of people from different races under the sun who have been trained with the Bible, they're the most peaceloving set of people on this planet, throughout the earth people know them for their unwavering faith in the Bible, Racism and Politics that has been the two major cause of genocide has been completely squashed in their midst. There is nobody that can convince me that the character (personality) whose teachings has helped this group to succeed in what seems so impossible everywhere was just a fictional character, so with the presence of Jehovah's Witnesses Organization on this planet Jesus has become a real person no matter what anyone thinks! Just like Harry potter, JK Rowlings is not related to any character in the story she is telling..the author of the gospel according to mark is not related to any character in the story he is telling..there is no connection. Harshirama: Lmao, the problem with you people is you refuse to learn. Genesis wasn't written by Moses as a purely historical book. Read in-between the lines or listen to messages and you'll understand what it's about I am 100% sure you don't know anything about it. Genesis was NOT written by moses,it was written be Ezra. It was Ezra that created Judaism as the national religion of the Jews.. God is not a man or Hunan being ..God is the universal consciousness.. So there is no message there that remotely support a case for jesus. |

Harshirama: Isaiah 53:4-6 [4]Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [5]But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. [6]All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Genesis 1:1-3 [1]In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2]And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [3]And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Genesis 22:8,17 [8]And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. [17]That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
Psalms 16:9-10 [9]Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. [10]For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. So which of those passages shows the need for God to have a son ? Or refers to jesus ?. |

TV/Movies › Do You Think Thor Would Have Been Able To Handle The Snap? by sonmvayina(op): 11:14pm On Oct 19, 2020 |
Do you think Thor would've been able to handle the snap?
Thor: Look, look. Sitting here staring at that thing is not going to bring everybody back. I’m the strongest Avenger, so this responsibility falls upon me. It’s my duty, to-
Tony: No no no, it’s not about that-
Thor: Shhh, shh shhh! Stop it! Let me… just let me do it…just let me do something good. Something right.
Tony: Look, it’s not just the fact that that glove is channeling enough energy to light up a continent. I’m telling you: You’re in no condition.
When Thor volunteered to take the snap, he called himself the strongest Avenger. And for that reason, he contended that he was fittest to use the gauntlet.
However, his teammates contested that decision.
But, what struck me was the fact that, when Thor took the stand, no one said that he wasn’t strong enough to wield the gauntlet.
None of them doubted his physical prowess. In fact, Tony explicitly said that it was not the glove’s physical properties which put Thor in danger.
Regardless, they still concluded that he was “in no condition” to take the snap.
Which led me to believe that, Thor was not held back because of his physical state. Instead, that he was stopped for his mental condition.
Before Bruce Banner took the snap, The Avengers swore that they’d only restore the people who’d died from the snap five years ago. Everyone who passed away before then would have to remain so, lest they risked distorting the timeline.
But during Endgame, Thor was grieving his kingdom, his brother, friends, and mother- all of whom died before the snap.
He even tried to warn Frigga of her own death to stop it from happening. Only for her to reject his advice mid-way. The Avengers noticed his behavior.
They realized that, if they gave Thor the gauntlet, he’d likely try to bring all his lost ones back - creating an alternate reality in the process.
That’s why Tony uttered those lines: Because it wasn’t his physical condition which was in danger. It was his mental state!
To summarize, physically, Thor could have handled the snap. But his mind wasn’t quite ready for it. |
