@ XYMC: you have got a very impressive sense θf humor. Welcome to Nairaland; the home for all sorts-you name it, you got it here. So please relax and be cool with being you. Don't seek to please cos you will never succeed at that anyways, heck you might just be trying to please someone who is displeased with him/her self and at war with the whole world! So darlen, have fun here, learn as much as you can and never ever ever take any trash comment personal! You need to get you a recycle bin to immediately trash deserving comments.

Cheers.

Well you need to honestly scrutinize your motive for desiring to study Medicine as that will help you make the best decision.

I am an advocate for pursuing passion. You clearly have passion in fields other than Medicine and it gets better-you've got natural talents and potentials, also in a lucrative field. Being good in sciences is a poor criteria to choose Medicine as a course θf study. You need better reasons. I say you go for where you have passion and potentials, it would be easier for you to further develop those potentials and the passion will be the drive you need to never quit when you are faced with gigantic challenges.

Cholerics are not introverts. The whole temperament theory is actually founded on the premise θf a combination θf inherited genes from parents/grand parents and life experiences (childhood, environmental, circumstantial e.t.c). Phleg isn't a bad temperament, its cool not to take life too seriously. Chlor/Phleg is a pretty cool blend as the Phleg nature tends to tame the spiteful aspect θf the Choleric.

@ Duke: I say we create a topic on temperaments for the romance section! Those pips over there could do with info such as this to solve their endless sorrowful heart matters.

Spicy a Chlo/mel is a fantastic blend I must say. Whoever has such blend would be an excellent goal getter, who is calm, calculative and highly efficient and effective.
They are not overly shy like the Mel/Chlo, but ofcourse they are self conscious and financially prudent. But they are very vindictive, the anger, impatience and control of the choleric added to the borrowed unforgiving and vengeful nature of the mel.[/quote]Hmm Mister Duke: please send me yer account details so I can pay you for such marvelous service! Surely this can't be for free! I have had to consciously werk on overcoming anger! Phew, it is no easy feat but I am much better and I keep getting better. This is the great thing about knowing one's temperament, you get to learn your weaknesses and werk at turning them to strengths.

Thumbs up bro n 30 gboza to you!!!

AjanleKoko: Is it possible for anyone to guess my temperament based on my Nairaland personality? grin
I would say you have a blend θf Choleric and Phlegmatic. Not sure θf the percentage though.

Forum GamesRe: Dumb Things People Say! by spicyv1(f): 11:32pm On Aug 31, 2012
This thread should never be allowed to die!

Just returning from a trip and you are asked, "are you back"? No! I am just about to leave!

You are having lunch at the office and almost done eating, besides you only have cutlery for one which you are using yet you say to your obviously starving colleague whilst wearing that silly grin, " come and join me"! Excuse me! Do I look like Bingo?

You go to the store, pick your favorite item and ask the attendant, "is it fake"? He is polite enough to answer your dumb question but you press on, "I hope its original o"! H-e-l-l-o! Do you really expect a sales man to tell you he doesn't want your money?

You are at a job interview and you are asked why you left your last job and you say, " I needed a more challenging experience, a higher place"! Oh pulease, you were obviously fayad!!!

@ op: kpele o! You actually thought that by singing the praises θf Seun's baby you would have "bribed" him into reserving a permanent spot at front page for your topic, lol.

Anyways, I have benefitted from NL in more ways than I am aware θf! I will share the most significant few.

Spiritually: visiting and participating in the religion section will accomplish one θf two things in the life θf anyone. You become confused about your faith or you become more steadfast in your faith. For me, the latter has been accomplished!

Mentally/Intellectually: NL avails one the opportunity to interact with people θf amazing intellects on different levels! Once I think I have seen it all, I am yet astounded by another display θf weird, humorous and inspiring intellectualism!

Socially: NL has taught me to seek to understand rather than be understood. Being a very opinionated individual, I have to be careful about being obnoxious and seeing arguments as another opportunity to compete for a prize and emerge the unrivaled winner! NL has taught me that there is an atom θf sense in certain stupidity which can only be found by getting past myself! Lol.

And err one can never be bored with the comic characters that are exclusive to NL. The drama, the fighting, the humor, the bizarre, the crassy, the classy... You name it, its all in here.

NL's addictive, I love NL.

Veery interesting! I find that I can never get enough θf this temperament gist! Here duke, you can have my battery! You wouldn't run out θf power in the next 8hrs. Now I am beginning to wonder if your "lazyness" to complete this article is owing to the fact that you might be sanguine in nature. Lol
CareerRe: What Can He Tell Them by spicyv1(f): 7:50pm On Aug 31, 2012
I see your perspective. Well let's just hope that pettiness will be insignificant in the decision process. One might wonder if he wouldn't "run" along at the next best offer! My question is: if that company did not have the issues that resulted in a shut down θf operations, would he have resigned to pick up his first job? Having seen how different things are elsewhere? I think it would be obvious that it he is trying to play smart.

I actually think he should tell the truth but be wise about it by making the former employers see how much they stand to gain from his additional experience as you have already suggested, but also assure them that his priorities have changed! (He has learnt that there are other things that are more important than money and would not be lured away again by a rival company lol).

For those who find this discuss alien, the book "why you act the way you do" by Tim Lahaye comes highly recommended for understanding temperament types and finding yours.

@ op: more familiar terms to describe the four basic temperaments are:

Fire (Choleric)
Wind (Sanguine)
Water(Melancholic)
Earth(Phlegmatic)

Often times, people have assumed my basic temperament to be sanguine, some others Choleric. Meanwhile, a personality type test at work a few years back revealed that my dominant personality is Choleric. Now, this would mean that I am extrovertish in nature right? But I tend to see myself as more on the reserved side! I think that's because θf the melancholic temperament that I have also.

I would say I am a blend θf Choleric and Melancholy.

Btw, be done with the article already!

@ Yamakuza: that's obviously better than stating the finance factor but still a miss in my opinion. I mean what if he is asked why he decided to also leave that company? They would still get to discover the actual reason. Hmmm! Really dicey one here. I guess he just has to give it a shot, he may just be lucky to have his job back.

Music/RadioRe: What Your Most Preferred And The Most Listened Radio Station In Nigeria by spicyv1(f): 10:24pm On Aug 30, 2012
96.9 coool fm!!! 1st cool, 2nd cool, 3rd cool!!! Its cool all the way. When I listen to radio, I don't listen for the music, I listen for the programs/shows. In other words, its about the presenters cos they make the show.

I have listened to several and none is comparable to cool cos the presenters know how to engage their audience, they make it seem as though you are in the same room with them. Their professionalism is on point, unlike the usual boring amateurs who are excited at the sound θf their overly stressed-offensively-fake accent! Or the boring ole ones who would be better off being an announcer at some local road transport service!

CareerRe: How Can I Get Sponsor For My New Radio Program by spicyv1(f): 12:41am On Aug 29, 2012
@ OP: first thing you should do is identify who your sponsors are. In doing that, you need to consider things like: who your audience are and if they are target market for your potential sponsors because THAT is what sponsors are interested in! Your program should focus on capturing audience that represents the target market θf your sponsors.

Having said this, I would suggest that an entertainment program is mostly for teenagers, young adults and maybe youths. Now, what industries provide services that these category θf people need? Clubs? Boutiques? Fastfood restaurants? Spa/beauty spots? The list is endless!

You might also want to create special features/segments in your program to make money. You can create a topic and have a business owner with expertise in that field featured whilst subtly advertising his services (which θf course he has to pay for).

You just need to identify the selling point(s) θf your show and make the sponsors see that their business is like that guy winking at a hot lady in a dark room and your show is the switch that would turn on the light in the room so the girl θf their dreams can notice them! (Girl θf their dreams in this case would be their target market)
RomanceRe: What Do Ladies Imply By "A Caring Guy"? by spicyv1(f): 6:10pm On Aug 28, 2012
While caring isn't exactly the same thing as generous, it really isn't possible to be caring and not be generous but you can be generous without being caring.

Being caring is in your thoughtfulness and sensitivity. It is seen in those seemingly insignificant or little gestures.

Before you deny the obvious, go read your previous posts! Gosh the regularity θf your irritatingly pathetic responses to threads such as this makes me wonder if you have been severally rejected by ladies due to your financial status!

@ op: I don't want any jerk o! Rich or poor, jerks have no use and shouldn't be bothered with.

luluosas: Mr. Teacher! I hear you.
I only quote the guy from the perspective I have been using the word 'condolence', not to attack him based on his usage of the word. Therefore, take me by my understanding and usage of this word before prior to your correcting me. Thank you.
My point is since your perspective is flawed, you have no right to be correcting someone! Plus how can I take you from your poor understanding? Please learn to take correction rather than defending your inadequacies! See you correcting somebody over what is actually right and displaying your own ignorance! Worse still, you are shamelessly asking for that ignorance to be appreciated! SMH!!!

Also, before and prior should not be used together! They mean the same thing, using them together is tautology! Please you need to improve on your vocabulary and since you have recognized me as a teacher, I will do you the favor θf teaching you for free. Hope you swallow your pride and grab this rare opportunity!!!
Christianity EtcRe: Is church an investment?? by spicyv1(f): 11:19am On Aug 21, 2012
truthislight: lies.

Is that why atheist are the richest people on earth?

The bile says that all christian should do work.

Donation should be voluntary and not under compulsion/necessity for God 2corinthianian 9:7
I advice you to carefully read and understand a post before you reply! Your response doesn't address anything sited in my post. I never addressed the issue θf voluntary or compulsory giving! My focus was on ensuring to have an expectation when giving.

I recently read a report where the world billionaires where asked to give away half θf their wealth, the likes θf Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have done that and in their own words, "giving is truly the only means θf receiving". Even the atheist acknowledge the law θf giving with an expectation θf receiving!
