How many blacks are in the pic

Whites don't complain of job but almost all blacks do. They still rule south Africans in every way. No good jobs for blacks except their white men and one south African is calling us racist.

Unemployment is about 50% in south Africa and poverty rate is 26% I wonder what type of 1st world country you claim to have.
Black South African engineers tend to get hired by large industrial companies en mass. These companies can afford to have hundreds of bursaries. In a final year Chemical Engineering class at Wits University of about 100, you might find 25 of them have bursaries from Sasol and 20 from Eskom etc etc. So you mainy find black engineers in heavy industry. A much smaller company like Paramount cant afford bursaries and will look for the most experience people it can find, to lower risks. It will hence hire a 40 year old white technician over a 22 year old black engineer with BsC. That being said i know of a number of black engineers at Paramount.

South Africa to send special forces to help Nigeria fight Boko Haram

South Africa will send its special forces to assist Nigeria in the war against Boko Haram insurgency.

This was revealed on Monday by the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan Ali, during a meeting with his South African counterpart, Nobise Mapisa-Nqakula, in Abuja.

The Minister stated that discussions on the deployment of South Africa’s special forces had reached an advanced stage and the arrangement would soon be concluded.

“It is a very good thing that we are thinking that South Africa being our close ally should come and help us in developing our industrial complex, that is the Defence Industry Corporation of Nigeria.”

“We are of the opinion that very soon, when the two Commanders-in-Chief meet, and the visit is finalised, we will look into going deep on how the two countries will work together and come to an agreement on the MoU and technical expertise between the two countries.”

"The GI 30 is a unique externally driven electro-mechanical cannon, utilizing a drum-cam to cycle the breech to chamber rounds and extract spent cartridges, thus minimizing gases in the confines of a turret and facilitate for controlled firing rate. DLS designed the GI 30 to fire link-less 30mm x 173 ammunition through a dual feeder – a world-first for this kind of weapon.

As a single-shot weapon, it is also unique for its sniper mode of operation. It is fired from a closed breech position, which offers more accurate fire due to no movement taking place immediately before the round is fired.

Another unique feature is that of ‘next round selection’. Having two feeders, with general ammunition on the right-hand and specialist types in the other feeder, the weapon allows the operator to select a specific round, without first firing off or ejecting an unwanted round.

Ammunition is replenished from the supply inside the turret.

Denel Land Systems (DLS)....responsible for a number of strategic components that have been designed and developed at its campus in Lyttelton:.

69 x two man turrets fitted with the South African GI30 30mm main gun. 54 x missile turrets equipped with the GI30 30mm gun and Denel Dynamics Ingwe anti-tank missile system. The order also includes the supply of 216 laser-guided Ingwe missiles.54 x remote control weapons systems"

This deal is thanks most in part to the Badger/Hoefyster project, so it's already making money.

Lmao @ Denel taking product advice from this thread cheesy cheesy grin grin. You can sit for weeks and weeks reading Denel product and experimental archives. Trust me.....nairaland doesnt feature and never will. For example the recently published article about Denel Dynamics student interns developing a split nose cone for Umkhonto SAM. I can personally say I saw an initial feasibility report pre-2010. Ideas circulate and most get archived, until manufacturing processes, costs and the market allow.

I hope i have been able to convince the SA indigens that NIGERIAN ARMY does not just sit back and upload training photos only like d SANDF... We have brave soldiers that the world gladly want to reckon with as d firepower of Africa...
Sadly for you its not soldiers who decide that they want to fight. They have been ordered to do so because Nigeria faces the problem of Boko Haram. No Boko Haram such groups are running around in SA. So until that day the majority of SANDF pics will be training based.

Liberia's opinion doesn't hold water, but you think your impotent opinion is important innit?

By the way, who died and made you the thread police??

Who are YOU to decide what i can and cannot post?? How is it your fvkking businesshuh

Go and hug the nearest transformer little boy

You south african boers are sans brains and manners...

Wow...anger issues. Sounds deep. I wont ask. You are completely free to do as you wish. There are zero consequences on the internet. But us being human, we try and reach compromise even with people we dont know...in this case it was less articles, more pics. Your article belongs in the other military forum. But no stress, do as you wish tough guy.

Oh and my father is central African, my mother is Xhosa. You're gona have to come up with something else other than boer *yawns*.

why the thing come pain you, like sey you nearly nack your head for wall as you read the post. is the topic not military related?

the other thread has got you paranoid about anything Nigeria bro. check yourself

i bet if it was DRC commending sandf for their support, you wouldn't have written tgis stup1d post.

guess what... any countrry's opinion on the quality of a military it partners with matters more than the opinion of a keyboard soldier.

keep your agony to yourself
Um...like has been argued on this thread many many times by Henry, can there be an attempt to stick to posting pics with brief summaries. The article belongs in the other military forum, there a dozens of such articles there which i have read, enjoyed and moved on...no problem.

- No I'm not a keyboard soldier, I'm an engineer that works in SA's defence industry. And you are? Only professional soldiers can call the rest of us "keyboard soldiers". So please...you are?

-Using your own point....all posts, arguments, opinions by everyone on this and other threads are therefore null and void, since the opinions of the actual militaries involved matter more than ours. So when are you planning on deregistering your account? Since clearly we're all wasting our time here.

Very long winded, and yes hypocritical (no pics, long) reply by me.

DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS

"NIGERIAN MILITARY IS EXCEPTIONAL AND OUTSTANDING"
... Liberia’s Minister of National Defence
The Minister of National Defence of Liberia, Honourable Brownie J Samukai Jr has described the Nigerian Armed Forces as very professional and outstanding, adding that he would continue to appreciate them for the training support they have been giving to his home country since 2006.
The minister made this remark when he visited Nigeria’s Chief of the Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin in his office at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
The minister further stated that Liberia would forever regard Nigeria as a big brother for the role it played in the restoration of peace, democratic governance and security in their country. He said the reorganised military they have is a product of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
Samukai Jr who in the company of his country’s Ambassador to Nigeria solicited more support from the Nigerian Armed Forces in the areas of training and vacancies for courses and cooperation for enhancing bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries said that his government would stand shoulder to shoulder with Nigeria in ensuring that terrorist activities are effectively stamped out in Nigeria. He therefore, stated his country’s readiness to support in whatever way to rout out terrorism in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Responding, the CDS thanked the minister for the visit and assured him that the two countries would continue to partner in order to be able to contribute in the development of the two countries and the sub-region in general.
He also pleaded that the Nigerian Armed Forces would continue to render training support to the Armed Forces of Liberia in order to ensure collective security to the sub-region and the world at large.
Brig Gen RABE ABUBAKAR
Acting Director Defence Information
I'm sorry but it's not as if Liberia's opinion on the quality of any defence force holds much water. Most militaries on earth are exceptional and outstanding in relation to theirs. Just saying such articles don't need to be posted on a pic thread.

I hope that SANDF in near future upgrades some Gripens to C/D standard since C/D standard will get a radar upgrade to enable usage of Meteor BVRAAM which has a range up to 300 km.
Meteor will be too expensive for the SAAF/SANDF. SAAF wiil go for Denel Marlin BVRAAM (100 km + range).
