spaggyy: good day ma'am, I am not a professional or expert in this, but permit me to suggest; why not think of other other packages such as visiting or vacation, since you have a good account record, you can just apply to go for a month vacation (of course they will give u more than a month visa.
Make the VO understand that u just want to take a break from work and to return in a month time, to attend to work and prepare for your last daughter wedding, which you intend to buy her gown in Canada
just my thought A visiting visa doesn't give her residency & right to work there and she isn't intending to go for a vacation |

The person now has hang replied my email or calls This sounds really frustrating. Hopefully you receive the good news this week. I wish you all the best. |

amintacarrie: Thanks I really appreciate your prompt response pls what do you mean when you say "number 2 is always the best" pls shed more light on the last paragraph Having your kids here while you are going to study is a good home tie because no mother will abandon her young kids in Nigeria. It means that there is a high chance of the mother coming back after her studies, which is a huge advantage in the visa application process. When you get your visa and you are already in Canada, then you can apply for them to come over and join you. |

Bede2u: u can get all that in nigeria...and unless the term 'stupid' has changed, i think my reply is in order. He or she wanted to know wat we think about his/her chances of making it. I simply told her to listen to her sis and not think canada is heaven. Wat in the world is 'stupid' about that... Hahahahaha. So you admit you didn't read her post well then? The success chances she asked about are about her visa approval chances not her chances of becoming Dangote-rich in Canada or whatever your view of 'making it' is. |

amintacarrie: Thanks, they are between 8-12 Okay. There are two options here. The mother can apply to take the kids with her as she is traveling or she can travel first, using them as home ties and apply for them when she gets there. She can get approved with any of them but the 2nd is always the best one. |

amintacarrie: Good Evening All, gurus in the house pls if a mother intends to apply for a 1 or 2yrs program in Canada, can she travle with the kids? Does she stand a chance in terms of visa? She can travel with them. How old are the kids? Kids can always be used as home ties, and you apply for them when you get there. |

koonbey: People who say stuff like this are usually people who haven't been outside the shores of this country or haven't ever interacted with people outside their locality or country.
If you have, you'd know that non-Africans are not necessarily more altruistic than Africans. It's a question of the individual.
As much as some people have left or are withholding information, a significant number of people are doing the exact opposite, but you're ignoring all that because of your inherent inferiority complex and because you want to be a crybaby.
If I ask how many foreign forums you've been one and engaged in to be able to draw the conclusion that 'white' people share all they know, I'm fairly certain the answer will be zero. And if on those forums, you truly believe the Europeans are sharing all they know, then perhaps your inferiority is not just a complex after all.
Get over yourself and speak solely for yourself next time you want to be a coon. You don't have to travel anywhere to know that what he said is the truth, even if it is the bitter truth. He even gave a good example of a receptionist feeling too big when you walk into an office. That is the typical behavior of the average Nigerian. We have all seen it many times : public servants feeling too big to do their job, some of our lecturers wanting to be treated like gods etc. I was emailing a US prof and we were exchanging emails regularly till I decided to Google his name, the man was a huge name in tech that has even invented a programming language, he has a Wikipedia page, yet so humble and willing to help. If there is one thing I am sure we can learn from whites, it is humility, not showing off unnecessarily and not feeling too important. |

Heywhy19: Hello house, Good day to everyone. I have been reading threads from way back and still following the current discussion on here but my challenge is that I can’t find a Master program for myself yet. I graduated from the university and my course of study was educational management/mathematics , i would like to study a masters degree relating to this in canada. i have done IELTS but my overall band is 6.0 . Please can any one assist me with a cheap school that will accept my score and offer me something related to this field , thank you all for your suggestion. Check University of Saskatchewan, they offer Educational administration & Educational leadership. University of Regina offers Educational leadership. University of British Columbia offers Educational administration and leadership as well. Regards |

MOBAN444: Pls house is it a rule that one must write an LOE also SOP? Some people have gotten their visa without writing any of them. But it is highly recommended you write your SOP, the LOE is added to tackle a refusal. Regards. |

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=495&top=15This is the question answered on CIC site. CIC says it's illegal to work before studies begin. Now this is the main problem with many Nigerians, always looking for loopholes and how to beat the system. It's not legal! and do you think they aren't aware that Nigerians are doing this? We go through one of the longest and strictest checks before a visa is granted and yet people keep encouraging others to do illegal things. 'The country is tough, blah blah' That doesn't mean you should go and do something you aren't allowed to, because in turn, this is only making it more difficult for people that have not gotten their visa. |

Obehi44: Na wa oh, things de happen for this life. Well, nothing spoil my dear. Stop thinking too much but start dancing for your blessings. Please look for your flight money and go to Canada, when you get there, defer your admission to the next season and start working. Trying to get different jobs of day and night so as to raise money. You may even get from a God sent who will loan you and you pay back when you saved enough. Don't stay back.... Go there and hustle. I know you meant no harm but we must stop this mentality of 'going to hustle' in which ever way possible. If he isn't in school, why should he go and hustle illegally? Many Nigerians travel with this mindset and CIC try to prevent it by making rigorous checks before granting a visa. Things like this keep making getting visas as a Nigerian close to impossible. |

jessyeve: That's a very bad advice, u r encouraging him or she to be an illegal immigrant making it impossible for her to permanently settle, my dear u must be in school to work part-time, I would advise you to defer ur admission and pray to be financially ready by then.... But nawa for cic, rejecting people that already paid part of tuition and ready to study and then accepting a student that isn't ready, nawa. The thing is I'm not even sure which country he is talking about, cos he posted the same thing in the US thread and US is much stricter on working without schooling than Canada. |

Abdulrahmon68: Am not sure he is cracking jokes bro. I think he actually once said on the platform that he graduated from a British Uni with a first class honours in Software Engineering. He seems to be a brilliant dude but he has allowed his profile to get to his head which is why you will always see too much pride in anything he post. I remembered you and him exchanged words last week over the way he was asking questions with arrogance. How I wish he can just be humble enough so that he won't have issues with the VO during his interview. It really pays to be humble! I wish him success!
Cheers. It's all jokes tho. You can't read that and actually think he's serious |

Isoiso: Let God be praised!
And a BIG THANKS to all Nairalander who have contributed with one question or the other, answered or responded with a meaning. They all had, and is still worth awhile, though, I hardly have time to read thoroughly.
My journey to Deutschland started in August 2015, after my mother's visit and gave me the info. I made some contacts and started applications to Oldenburg for summer 2016 via UniAssist. Got UniAssist confirmation letter, but Oldenburg had shifted my summer application to winter decision with reasons only known to them. Also, I had applied for winter 2016 session in Bremen, with multiple applications when ever possible. But got all rejections for ALL applications in 2016, with the option of appeal for Bremen (even, I didn't use it). Though, I had challenge Oldenburg with series of email, demanding the reason for the late rejection after promising admission in summer for winter. Final response for all emails was a NO. wow! what a story! big congrats to you! |
