Are you talking about the US sevis fee? For Canada, it doesn't apply, you only make visa fee payment. |

I have gone through your profile and was fascinated with your achievements and research feat. I will appreciate if you can mentor me and take me as one of your doctoral students. I would be grateful if you give me this opportunity.
Thank you as I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully, Rieme Jacobs
Sample of a mail i sent. Please critique. I didn't attach a resume or proposal. You need to add more details to this. Go through the prof's previous works, read about them and talk a little about how you can assist in those research works. Put yourself in the prof's shoes, you just got an email like this. You would feel as if the person probably used this format for countless professors. You need to make the prof know that you have read their works, it shows you are really interested! Good luck. |

doppelganger10: LONG POST ALERT!!!
AL: 23rd July, 2019 AD: 4th Oct, 2019 (Booked on 24th July, AD came 25th July 2019) AM: 29th Oct, 2019 Visum: 7th Nov, 2019
TRANSCRIPT My interview was on 4/10/2019. I left my house some minutes to 5am, I got to the embassy at exactly 5:30am. I was the first person to arrive, I met an officer at his post. Greeted him and stood by his post. I was expecting the usual "go and come back by 6:30am" as I have read earlier from other people's transcript, but he asked if I have all my documents ready and if I have done all my photocopies. I nodded to all his questions and he asked I remove the chain barricade to enter and wait. He muttered some words under his breath like "That man na only shout e go shout". I figured he was talking about Mr. Paulinus.lol... One of the best experience posts I have read here. I was in that building with you as I was reading congrats! well deserved! |

WeirdKidinClass: Thanks. Does it replace SOP in reapplication or you use them both You can and should use them both. That is : You have improved many things in your application, maybe you improved your SOP too. But you do not want CIC to come up with a different rejection reason after you have tackled the first reason. So you write the Letter of Explanation and tell them the reason you were denied in the first place and how you have fixed that. Hope it's clear now? |

WeirdKidinClass: Hello house, I am going probably to ask a dumb question but it is not to me. What is a LOE letter and how is it different from SOP. We normally refer to LOE as a letter of explanation and SOP as statement of purpose. You add LOE to your application when you are reapplying after a refusal, to explain the improvements you've made, evidences you have added etc |

Chidon360: Good morning house, please is there anybody here that got admission or already attending Austin peay state university?
I god admission for spring 2020, and I applied for Graduate assistantship. my i-20 was sent to me last week but no trace of assistantship from the school or department.
My Question is , will they send me a separate offer letter for the Graduate Assistantship or what? Because am about booking for interview and didn’t want to go to embassy without any funding.
Please attend to my Question. If there is no assistantship on your i20, then you didn't get any. You can call their number instead of emailing them to confirm. |

Uriel12: This one that they're denying people visas immediately they know they have family there, is it compulsory to mention if or not we have? You don't have to mention it. But when asked, you have to tell the truth. Having a family there doesn't mean you'll get rejected. |
