ulasiking: Hello Everyone,
Pls i want to understand the difference between statement of purpose (SOP) and letter of explanation (LOE). statement of purpose is what you include in your application to explain your travel reasons, home ties etc. LOE is the letter you include to tackle a denial and explain further or give more evidence. |

MartinLawrenCe: Well, I would rather apply into other countries than to put all my eggs in one basket with no positive feedback besides it is actually easier to immigrate into Canada after schooling. I believe it takes just 4 years after living in Canada before one can be qualified to a legit immigration process compare that to Germany. They speak english in canada, weed is legal in canada... Lol...Canada is a fantastic place + I won't lie to you very soon Canada will be a world power country. I love the fact they speak two languages in Canada. It is a beautiful country my friend. Don't get me wrong Germany is also beautiful and both have quality standard of education but in the end, it is better to have options and take next steps.
If it is about cost, I would advise you to double your hustle because Germany could also implement tuition fee at any time. Ciao! Sure, Canada is nice. But you need to submit many documents when applying for visa. They can delay too, some people get their approval 12 months after applying for visa, I have seen 13 months sef. But the average is 3-5 months. I have been following both Canada, USA and Germany thread since the beginning of the year. |

CHUUKKSS: Lol I should lie that I didn't or what, stop pretending peeps, none of you have that kind of money. Most account statement of high amount sent to school are doctored but not the one sent to embassy. Please don't mis understand me. My school asked to show if I could sponsor my education in case I was not given a scholarship and I should provide a bank statement reflecting that. I sent them doctored because i know the school won't necessarily confirm that. I have seen it countless times. Please don't go and doctor your bank statement to embassy o abeg. Very strange assumption to make. |

This is why this visa stuff is getting hard for Nigerians, while other countries are having it easy. Very soon schools will want to start verifying bank statements from Nigerian. You used a 'doctored' statement, not only that, you are here on a public forum (which the US consulate is well aware of) and proudly stating it. |

From my experience following this thread, anytime CIC goes quiet with applications like this, just know that many approvals will be coming soon frequently. So brace yourself if you're under eligibility review, the few coming weeks are going to be hot with approvals! |

sillysassysally: Hi Everyone,
I want to start by sincerely apologizing for going MIA since I got here. Life happened so fast and it didn't help that I didn't have a laptop. I have only just started settling down after all the hassle.
Landing gist... It was pretty straightforward and didn't take time. The only question I remember the border official asking me was which school I was going to and what program. Then, of course, I was asked to show my correspondence letter and CAQ.
Canada... I am currently attending McGill University so I'm quite comfortable speaking about Montreal. 1. French everywhere! I was so surprised - even my youtube ads changed to french! Better to start learning french to optimize your experience but if you don't speak French, it's still fine because most people are bilingual. 2. Beautiful city... people say its the best city to jaiye in Canada because things are always happening! I think last week was about Real Madrid (they are in Canada for a tour), then the week before that was jazz festival week... Needless to say, its a really fun city! I have been waiting for your update. You have been missed here. All the best to you! |

NwanyiOkpa: I am very sad right now.
I was looking through the application procedure for MUN. I discovered that MUN requires recommendation to be submitted via email and using an institution email address.
My issue is that most of my lecturers are not techy and they are not good with using emails and d rest. They find it stressful.
Secondly, my school's lecturers don't have institution emails. They have yahoomail and gmail. I am confused as to how i can make my application successful. send the graduate admissions an email and explain this to them. Then ask them if you can get physical letters with your school's letterhead, stamped & signed, to scan & upload as replacement instead. cheers. |

By the comments here, I think most of Sharwarma's posts are being misunderstood. This is all being blown out of proportion over nothing serious. The girl has done more good than harm here. No one should be quick to judge anyone as this is a public and faceless forum. If she was derailing the thread, a casual advice would have done the needful. These comments are getting too personal. |

AdimGreat: Hello Guys,
I have the following professional IT certifications and I've been wondering where they count in all these Canadian Express Entry application. Been searching the internet on which certification is eligible for ECA but hasn't found anything.
- ITIL - CCNA (Routing and Switching) - PRINCE 2 (Practitioner) - CompTIA Security+ - Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Would be grateful to get any info concerning this from anyone here. Good day. Ask your question here https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/329 cheers. |

exousia058: You are encouraged to apply for your nonimmigrant student visa as soon as you have your I-20. To ensure you get an early and timely date you may apply at anytime. However, a student visa may be issued no more than 120 days prior to the start date mentioned on your I-20. Your earliest arrival date will be clearly stated on your I-20. I hope this helps. Does this mean if you apply more than 120 days before, the embassy will hold on to your passport till they can issue the visa or are they going to deny you visa because of that? |

Flaame: congratulations! Please on applying for a Canadian f1 visa, what are the payments required? How much is there visa fee? Do they pay sevis fee? It's called just student visa in Canada. f1 is just the American name. There is no sevis fee or interview but there is a visa processing fee. Go to the first page of the thread and follow the link of the first post, you'll find all the info you need. You can then ask questions if anything isn't clear to you. cheers. |
