My dear ask them oohh, cause those will wipe all the game reserve in the country. Unless those organized and determined hoodlums used the AA and BB cartridges as smoke screen while the real shipment gets thru. So the police will rejoice at catching a catfish while a shark may have passed.

For war size doesnt count,
My dear you cant equate egypt to Isreal, in that Isreali arab war, isreal marched just few kilometers to taking Cairo. On africa, Egypt should be the best cause they have fought lots of wars, their hardwares are also outstanding, south africa comes second, and nigeria ,

Nigeria with all its money cant boast of up to 15fighter jets. They went and bought silly chineese fighter jets 6 in number. thats all that have oohh. They dont even have F16 that is being phazed out by most countries. The mig fighter jets they bought from Soviet union is wasting away. those ones cant even fly now. Same with their Tanks old tanks, while as early as 1998 South Africa was exporting computerised Tanks to Libya.
Nigeria has to get its acts together. They are only good at infantry. but no equip.

@post,
Seun may be arrogant or whatever, but please remember Seun owns Nairaland, he can do as he wish with it. We all own nigeria and should have equal rights as per nigerian constitution. You cannot equate the two.

I develop websites, i own two websites, i cannot allow a visitor to the site to dictate to me what and what i shouldnt do in it.
Do you know how Seun started nairaland?? Do u know the challenges he subdued?? If he had approached u then to invest in setting up nairaland would you have parted with cash let alone time committed to see it work? As at when he started nairaland would u have even thought such an idea would sell??
If you want to dictate to him what to do, be a member of board of directors of nairaland! Though i believe Seun should have clear rules and follow the rules, thats if he wants to.

Note: i dont know seun and i dont give a hoot about him, am just seeing it from another point of view. When i develop my own site i cant let every dick and harry telling me do this do that. NIGERIANS!

Its so wrong for you to call ND militants terrorists. Do you know what Terrorism is?? If you knew, check if it applies to Nigeria Army and police more than to militants. Am against all forms of life loss, life shoult be sacrad, but unfortunately those up North dont feel so.
Even the ND Militants dont kill their hostages, the hostages die when the army attempt forced rescue. Nigeria needs a national conference, else this Jos killings are just the beginning.
More will be coming. This country has expired!!!

Nigerians can burry their heads like ostrich.
Even the Chief of army staff has admitted high tensions in the barracks and he even said in one of the dailys that if the situation remains as it is for more time, that the politicians wooing the military to take over might have their way.
And so they have deployed many JTF personnel from Niger Delta to Abuja to check mate possible coup, even that isnt enough.

And some ppl are here saying it cant happen, lets keep burrying our heads. I weep for this country , dark clouds are gathering no rain coats yet ,

PoliticsNigerians Write To Clinton On Nigeria Terror List Suggest Names For No-fly List by stiyke(op): 12:30pm On Jan 13, 2010
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press: In these past few weeks, the whole World has placed Nigeria in focus because of the deeds of some few Nigerians. The attempt by Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab to blow up a plane with innocent people on board in US space shocked the whole World, including Nigerians who have since widely condemned the dreadful act. This has given the United States of America an opportunity to direct Nigeria to amend and correct all the injustices that breed this kind of behavior.

It is not a hard sell to Nigerians that elements capable of bringing disrepute to Nigeria still exist as long as some leaders continue to create conducive environment for these terrorist to breed. Rather than take issues with the victims, in this case United States of America, Nigeria should see this as an opportunity to reflect and return to the drawing board to put our Nation in the proper order.

Following an extensive review during The Nigeria Pro-Democracy Network (NPDN), global leadership teleconference today, it was agreed that the current US classification of Nigeria as a “Country of Interest” may be the wrong remedy with its unintended consequences. That this measure may not have happened if there was aggressive and immediate engagement through Presidential leadership or a substantive Nigerian Ambassador in the United States. We therefore requested a meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, via a letter (attached), during which we will propose taking Nigeria off the list and replacing with a list of targeted individuals, whose lack of action has been duplicitous in our current predicament and whose actions may be critical in beginning to turn things around. The targeted individual who are mostly present members of the Federal and State Executive Councils and the National Assembly, are hereby given 10 days within which to institute credible and effective Presidential leadership, or be be recommended for addition to the international No Fly List. President Yar’Adua, dead or alive is of no consequence at this time, as it has become clear he cannot effectively perform any function let alone that of president. In our letter to Secretary Clinton we said:

"Most Nigerians are peaceful law abiding citizens in their respective communities regardless of religion or political affiliations. Nigerians have been subjected to various types of State encouraged or sponsored terrorism, perpetrated through political, religious and socio-economic instruments. Mr. Umar Abdul Mutallab, is a product of the harsh Sharia law practiced and encouraged by some Nigeria’s Northern States. Under Sharia, Non Muslims, Nigerians or not, are regarded as infidels and worthless. Immediately following its introduction in 2001, religious riots ensued which resulted in the slaughter of thousands of Christians and other non Muslims. Since then tens of thousands more have been killed and property worth billions of dollars destroyed. Unbelievably, the government has not investigated, prosecuted or held anyone accountable for these atrocities."

"Madam Secretary, most of the victims of these horrific events are underprivileged and have no voice in government. They are predominantly involved in commerce, or depend on relations resident outside Nigeria, particularly the United States, for their livelihood. The recent classification of Nigeria as a Country of Interest on terrorism, while well intended, may have missed the mark. It will disproportionately affect Nigeria’s underprivileged citizens who are victims of atrocious governance, by severely constraining their commerce and global family visits- the two main sources of their livelihood."

"Furthermore, Nigeria may not have been so adversely classified if we had a President, a responsive legislator or a substantive US ambassador in Washington DC. To assist in fashioning an effective policy, and minimize unintended consequences, we will in the next 2 weeks, be finalizing and recommending for the no-fly list, a targeted list of Nigeria’s past and present officials, who have, due to their documented utterances, actions or lack of it, contributed significantly to the current leadership vacuum, created the environment conducive for breeding the likes of Umar Abdul Mutallab, caused the destruction of lives and property, dehumanized and impoverished Nigeria.
Madam Secretary, these are the individuals that must be held accountable, not Nigeria. Left as is, the current corrupt leadership will perform true to type. They will implement superficial ineffective processes that will be violated by the privileged, including the likes of Abdul Mutallab. We therefore request to meet with you following our submission of the list on January 26th, 2010, to share our thoughts."
.

We encourage every Nigerian to send information to npdn2000@yahoo.com, about any individual that fits the targeted category or persons, for inclusion on this list. Only names with verifiable and documented Egregious abusive acts will be reviewed and considered.[/b

noblezone:
What does OBJ mean?

"We" are therrorists jo! By "we", I mean "Nigerians".

I just checked a dictionary, one of the definitions of TERROR or TERRORISM" is thus:

[i]"Violent action or threat of violent action that is intended to cause fear, usually for political purposes".[/i]

1. When Akaluka's head was seperated from his body, put on a spike and paraded on the streets of Kano on the fact that he was the one met at home, when the Jihardists came for a woman who used a torn Koran to clean up her baby, that was terrorism.
2. All the frequent blood lettings by the Jihardists, are nothing but acts of therorism.
3. Has OBJ forgotten the Miss World voilence?
4. The Odi tragedy was it not an act of terrorism?
5. Another name for Niger Delta Militants is Terrorists.
6. The shooting to death of dozens of armed-less and defence less MASSOBIANs by the Nigerian police was nothing but terrorism.
7. The PDP came to power through terrorism.

8. Somebody should please tell OBJ, that what he did in Anambra State through pawns like Chris Uba and his stooge Andy Uba were all acts of terrorism.

Terrorism has been part and percel of the fraud called Nigeria and as a matter of fact, TERRORISM is the only thing that is "keeping" Nigeria "one"; else, let us have a free and fair referendum on the "ONe Nigeria" and let us see the outcome.

What you can tell me is that "Nigerians are not international terorists", but "thank God" our status is thus elevated: the "sharp" Mutalab has changed all that: Our terrorism nature has gone international.

Nobody should cry! Nobody should complain.

Remember this poem?

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
Please let them know.
