HIV1: The truth is that Nigeria is an English speaking country. If you are not confident of the way you express yourself outside you will not be reckoned with. Aside good written and spoken English, you need to be knowledgeable in your area of endeavour before you can be called a qualified graduate. After all the certificate you obtained means you possess minimum requirement for you to perform as a graduate and if that certificate is not obtained through dubious means then the question of spoken and written English need not come up at all. I am not an English graduate but a graduate of science and that doesn't mean one should not give acceptable means of communication due recognition. I also oppose the statement that a Poly. graduate cannot be a good speaker or writer. All you need is self development.If you are born from well off family and you attend a good nursery and primary school ,it is a privilege. I am an Ajepako and I attended bad public primary and secondary school and both my parents don't have western education .

I have stòpped to tell people that I did a little bit of public school and at times just hate it when some recruiters get amazed about my level of high intelligence because I also did a bit of Polytechnic.

I have many Poly and Uni grads as friends that cannot write a tense and they get more job offers than I do but they either fail the tests and interviews woefully or they just couldn't keep the job because of the lack of. Their basic knowledge and foundation.

It is just your personality and it has nothing to do with which school you attended.

Ask thorough-bred counsellors and they'll tell you that.

Seriously this is a very messy habit and character.

I once met a lady way back in my Nbr'hoôd,what innitially attracted her to me was her backside and humilty,sorry for being a little profane.

I don't normally look out fòr those features like my other pals but I remembered that particular evening she struck my disbelief,she was also my 5 year junior in school,i guess that was what marveled me considering the fact that she was someone that i could go for my own little sister,but no,i got interested almost immediately.

What broke the horses back and eventually ended the relationship very slowly withOut her getting noticed,was that each time she invited me to her house,there was no day i wouldn't see one or two of her pants and brazziers being hung outside on the line which stares me in the eye disgustingly anytime i pay a visit.

I gradually backed out of the relationship even though I regretted missing her thunderous and fitted backsides !

When i come across reports as these especially ones that have to do with influential calibre of people like the Royal Highnesses and Fathers,Politicians,Statemen and women,wealthy Nigerians etc. I often yearn to see things like:His Royal Highness just completed a self-Built Amusement park for kids and young Ones in the Village,Chief Mrs ** just flaoted a world-class Science laboratory for African medican Research,Senator ** just launched his personal Talent foundation to help curb youths restiveness and all that but rather what you and I see is a complete reversal.

We have totally lòst our morals and dignity and obviously traded it with wordly materialistic cravings,more reasons we never leave the same spot we have been.

Checks and balances.
By ensuring gòvernment agency like the EFCC monitors all monetary and finance relcontracts,expenditure,pay-outs,Expenses,budgets etc from the first day the cheque is signed and approved to the very last day the project is completed and executed.

EFCC should monitor every little spending and bring tO fore any expenditure which has been carried out-in an ultra-vire manner i.e not according to what has been earmarked for such projects.

This is the check and balance being operated by The United States.

EFCC shòuld be aware of any Government spending nô matter how small it may seem,till the very last day the contract would be totally completed.

With this,any misappropriation would be easily detected and not when the government officials have embezzled the money !

EFCC should be aware of whose Govt Contract is expended upon,amount paid,date for execution completion and not to wait till the money had been embezzled before taking their 'James Bond' action.

If EFCC cannot do these things,then I think they have no rights chasing fraud perpetrators around when the evil deed had been done and already carried out.
