the only thing that a naija girl ever thinks of is just fashion and fake ass lifestyle just to attract men.
naija ladies are the dumbest creatures one can ever come across, their fellow ladies in America and Europe are making waves in the society and creating impacts in this generation, but the average priority of a naija girl is how to stay on Instagram and solicit for likes and followers.
Naija ladies don't even have any thing innovative, motivative or positive to contribute to a man's life.
very useless people

Christianity EtcRe: Giving Your Tithe To The Church Or To The Needy: What The Bible Really Says by sweetilicious(f): 3:16pm On Oct 13, 2019
HerCuteness:
I particularly learned a lot from this, this , this, this and Google. I would encourage you to do your own exploration and learn, pray about and consider the purpose and importance of tithing.
But what gets me about your question is the word
instead . Maybe I’m splitting hairs, but I get a vibe that you don’t see the value in your church getting your money. You’re not asking about splitting 10 percent between your church and a charity, you said instead .
So for learning purposes, let’s shelve the whole tithing, biblical mandate thing and, for now, treat your particular church as another charity. Let’s think about some big-picture questions that people tend to ask when deciding if they’re going to lend support to a person or institution:
1. Do I believe in the mission?
I’m guessing that if you go to an evangelical church in America, they have the mission/vision/purpose statement plastered everywhere. It’s probably a lot of single buzz-words with periods after each word. God. Real. Community. Coffee. Banjo.
No matter how they’ve branded the mission, the question remains: Do you know why your church exists? Does your church know why it exists?
2. Is the mission being accomplished?
I’m assuming you know the answer to #1, or you wouldn’t have landed there in the first place. However, it’s one thing to say we know why we exist as a church, it’s quite another to actually see that mission bearing fruit.
When you look and listen around, do you hear the stories of lives being changed? When you see what’s really being accomplished at your church, does it line up with what they’ve set out to do?
3. Would I trust them with my money?
This seems like a trite question compared to #1 and #2, but if we’re looking at the church as it compares with every other nonprofit/charity, we have to ask—are they leveraging their resources well?
Here’s how you know: they are incredibly transparent about their finances. If you’re at a place where that’s happening, you’ll be assured both from the leadership and from the evidence that your money is doing what it’s supposed to be doing: building the Kingdom.
So how’s your church doing? If any of those questions gave you pause, take a step back and prayerfully consider if this is still your community (which I hope it is) and then (if it is) dig in!
Your church needs you, in fact, your church is you. If there’s something going on that’s just not sitting right with you, be a part of fixing it.
Don’t choose instead , choose both. Because unlike a charity, you’ll never find a more important mission (see #1) than the mission of the Church (See Acts 2). Social justice and sponsoring kids is vitally important, but if the Church was really doing its job, those charities would be overwhelmed with support and eventually not need to exist.
I get you

In as much as we will all try to attack and condemn the lady for saying such, there is lot of truth in what she wrote, and I will explain:

Back in the days of our fathers, there was no GSM, no internet, no cable TV, so it was never necessary for a man or woman to own a mobile phone, buy internet data, buy airtime, pay for cable TV like DsTV or GoTV or Star Times, etc. In fact there was no need to have a fridge/freezer before you get married because there were electricity only in few parts of Nigeria, mostly the cities, and only less than 20% of Nigerians then lived in the cities, and maybe less than 5% of those city dwellers owned a TV set, a fridge/freezer.

There was no need to own a washing machine, only the elites did....there was no need for electric or gas cooker, no need to talk about owning a car to think of maintaining and fueling the car, only few elites owned cars.

Back then, all schools were government owned, private schools were seen as useless schools for dull people, and most government schools then were free, the ones that needed to be paid for were peanuts...so you don't need to stress to send your children to school, all they needed was school uniform and books.

Back then, there were very few private hospitals, all existing reputable hospitals were all government owned and well equipped and competent, today is different....to take care of your wife's delivery and children health, you must pay through your nose if they must get adequate healthcare.

All the reputable schools now are owned by private individuals, and their tuition is on the high side that, someone earning that amount she mentioned can never be able to send his children to any good school, sadly that's the reality not what we wished was the reality cry

Before you can get married today and have a relatively happy home, you may need to rent a 1 bedroom flat at least, you will pay for electricity bill monthly, buy gas for cooking, pay for refuse collectors, pay estate or community security which was free in our father's time, you may need TV, GoTV which also requires monthly subscription, you must own a mobile phone, including your wife, and who will be buying the airtime, the internet data, maybe Buharihuh

Honestly, to live a decent life in Nigeria or run a decent, modest home in Nigeria now as a married man, you will need around 200,000naira monthly income, which is why every Nigerian lady now should make it a priority to have a job or a business or a trade or something earning her legal money of at least 50,000naira monthly before she accepts to marry any man.

Gone are the days ladies bring only their body to marriage, ladies your body is no longer enough, you must bring some money too....a monthly income!!! angry

That guy that replied her and saying he is earning 57,000 and he is married with 2 kids, he should also tell people about other ways he earns money to augment his 50k monthly salary; or he thinks we don't know how corrupt majority of Nigerian civil servants are, collecting kickbacks, bribes, and engaging in all forms of office corruption to makeup their low payhuh

He should also tell us if he doesn't get one or two financial help from one of his big brothers or uncles living somewhere else either abroad or in another city, so let him STFU that income is not enough to run a family in today Nigeria!!

If you are not earning enough income to raise a decent home, pls stay single, its not a crime to remain single, it is a crime to give birth to kids u can't train or give decent life, they will grow up to become societal problem and easy tools for crime/violence which is why Northern Nigeria and in fact Nigeria is so messed right now!

Stop giving birth to kids u can't train or hoping for your uncle or brother or sister or aunt or friend to train them for u, the world has changed, this is not 1980!! angry
Okay

i beg to differ, humans have different income level through out thier life time especially in an economy like nigeria and a country without job seciurity

You may have a booming business or Job with huge turn over/salary before marriage, and few years into the marriage Buhari introduces policies that affects your sector directly, like no forex for importers, Single Treasury Account, border closure or ban on your products...
then things turn slightly difficult and this kind of lady is out with another man

A reasonable man should always marry poor, or strugling or even pretend to be poor so as to weed out women with this kind of money mentality, because even if you are rich and things turn around for you this entitled ingrates would either leave or make your life miserable

but facing real facts someone marrying with 50k must be ready to marry a lady with a source of income, and also be ready to start the marriage by renting a single room and parlour selfcontain in a middle class enviroment, he must be ready to use pratical low dataphones like itel and tecno, he must be willing to use public transport, and he must be very willing to eat a soup for atleast 3 days to five days before making new ones... If he , must drink alchohol, then he cant drink at a lounge and he cant buy premium brands like hennesy and heineken.. he most strictly drink low cost drinks like hero, goldberg , 33 , trophy or spirits and his entertainment option should be limited to Startimes a, gotv or buying pirated dvds..

In fairness.. strugling couples who are positive minded tend to enjoy thier marriage, building wealth together and sharing life experience together

Like I said, varieties. And different things to consider.

You are not in the head of anyone neither are you directing their 'mental processes.'

If you feel/think menopause is an issue, then avoid older women.

It works for others.

A relationship (going into it) can be for so many other things than for child-bearing and other superficial things people expect and make it to be.
The only thing a naive Nigerian man needs from a woman is children. They are most times so irresponsible. I pray never to meet such man ever. The worst type of marriage.

I dig the idea of working @ the CBN though.

I think the likes on nairaland can be really head swelling for some people, they end up perambulating on a thread trying to make a point with each comment, until they begin to sound exhausting and start losing the appeal they initially had with a sensible comment.
I used it as a point. My sister during her service in CBN had a suitor whom has already introduced himself to us.He practically told my sister he doesn't want her to work there. That he prefers her having a super market. My uncle was already working towards her getting in after her passing out.Suitor said women that makes more money can be dangerous, bla bla bla.My sister saw the devil working in him and God just knew they weren't meant for each other. Marriage plans broken. Sister married a medical doctor, sister earns more at first, they lived in peace.Sister a senior manager now, they are still living in peace. Her hubby advised she went for masters, she earns so high now.Sister and hubby keeps growing. My dear, sister married her destiny helper and not a foolish egoistic Poor in mind and attitude husband. Some people should get their kind of person.Others should get their kind too.Nigerian women in the marriageable age can be desperate for ring and can do anything for it.After the wedding, you will see their dirty heart.
