I read not too long ago Nigerian true stories of dead fetus and kids even twins dumped in gutters, garbage dumps, bins etc. I know a doctor friend who specializes in Abortion, he has the highest patient patronage in his town and told me of about 9 occasions of new mothers abandoning babies in the hospital. These women end up as wives for various ignorant men, but do u know the curse upon such a lady covering her shame & destroying lives 4 selfish reasons. My question is how can they live with themselves?

@cold & Dayo, i see where u are coming from, its quite clear that these happen often in countries where there is Govt support. A lady who gets pregnant just in a bid to get child support from men, a Govt. paid flat & other benefits per child while sitting her lazy @ss home doing nothing is just an opportunist common in western nations. U rarely see African women wit no support fitting the description of single mum multiple dads, they often wised up after d first. Now u hav a clearer view of who am on about

@Naija4life, your words are true as i see it daily around me. However, i am hoping that thru this thread dejected single mums who have hitherto looked upon their kids as big mistakes made, will wise up, take responsibility and make sure they turn them out to become good upstanding citizens in future and not hoodrats. The message is to go and sin no more, if u made the mistake already work on it and turn it around to something to be proud of. God is with u

@Missy, u are wellcome dear

when i came up i was focused on African single mums, of course i know this thread might not make a lady about to abort change her mind. i just want those dat decide to keep it be asured they did the right thing.
I aint giving a tap at the back 4 keeping bastards, the UK & US govt are already doing dat by giving benefits, council houses etc. to such, making many ladies actually get pregnant for this reason in those places. However in Naija & other Afro countries they expect to be abandond yet keep the baby

cold:
@op,wld u marry one?
YES i would if i met and fell in love with one. Many men marry witches, secret call girls, play girls, some even father other mens children unknowingly, perhaps to them ignorance is bliss, however the truth is many of such ladies bring a curse into the home for hiding their sins, while the repentant single mum brings a blessing. She is a better deal and deserves more respect and love for being hones

Is the OP assuming that all single moms are as a result of women having kids out of wedlock? There are also other circumstances such as death and divorce that lead to this situation.
huh
No am not asuming that, i am specifically talking about the unmarried lady who was adandoned by a man cos of pregnancy, had the chance & resources to abort it, yet decided the child must live. it takes 1 with a good heart to do so

FamilyRe: A Salute To Single Mums - The Unsung Heroines by swiftycool(op): 11:10am On May 10, 2011
Ladies who abort and keep aborting their babies are often seen outwardly as smart and easily blend in with the crowd as wifey materials, however the lady with a good concience who gave up her status and good girl image in order to protect a life is castigated as "second hand" and is often rejected by men cos of her baggage. The truth is this lady ought to be viewd differently because she has a pure, caring heart and would rather face consequences than cover her sins. Guys need to start seeing dem this way
FamilyA Salute To Single Mums - The Unsung Heroines by swiftycool(op): 10:57am On May 10, 2011
Society today especially in Africa look at single mothers as outcasts i.e those who had kids out of wedlock. But have u ever stopped to realize she is being ridiculed because she decided to be unselfish and accept reproach for doing the right thing. she decided to give an innocent soul which though was a product of her past mistakes a chance of life, halting, distabilizing & making her own life hard by her decision. This thread pays respect to all such single mums on NL. U are unsung heroines. I respect ya!

FamilyRe: Why Are There So Much Pressure On Girl's In The Family? by swiftycool(m): 3:39pm On May 09, 2011
Have u ever considered the fact that apart from being a gem in yr folks eyes, they are also trying to prepare you as one for the perfect man.Yea it sounds chauvanistic but the truth is that at the end of it all you end up as a choice amongst many for the dream man who might reject you cos of some shortcomings in some areas. Yr parents want u to qualify 4 d best hence all those talks. As much as we hate to hear it women often end up as a choice and unfortunately arent in a position to outrightly choose men
RomanceRe: What Is The Big Deal In Hitting A Woman? by swiftycool(m): 6:51pm On May 08, 2011
Sometimes its easy to tell a man to walk away when he is seriously provoked to anger, alot of people advocate replying verbal abuse for the like. but the truth is some abuse are more devastating than a hundred slaps. A friend of mine slapped his wife for the first time after she called his dear mum a prostit*te, he claimed he tried his best to walk away but her continous singing in this line on him drove him mad, he had to make her stop. Pls i need a Lady's opinion, is this justifiable

Mynd_44:
Here is a question you should answers what if your father beats on your mother what would you do? Or better if a conductor beats up your mother?
Ill answer like a Nigerian, you also asume this scenario, what if your mum were bigger than your dad and whoops his @ss, or better still one big fat @ss crazy "Isale eko" area mother Beats up yr dad?!! Be honest, Does any look better?
RomanceRe: What Is The Big Deal In Hitting A Woman? by swiftycool(m): 5:39pm On May 08, 2011
i believe its not right 4 anyone male or female 2 hit the other in a relationship. However men hitting women is over reported. We generally asume women got less strenght yet often they get in the mans house, triple in size and weight, grow balls while starving the man till he is paper weight to easily beat him. This situation happens in a lot of African an A/American homes according to statistics. The fact today is more men r being hit first by big wives and we only hear of it if they retaliate. e.g Ghana

Am terribly sorry to say this, Enigma or whatever you call yourself, u sound like a pompous blockhead. From reading the entire thread i just realised u are a never learning empty barrel, no wonder your likes never experience miracles because u stick to doing stuff all wrong! and as per English language, doing stuff in the name of Jesus is very different from doing stuff thru Jesus, even my baby neice knows that, she is just 5, perhaps she should school u
PoliticsRe: Buhari Broke Into Tears by swiftycool(m): 7:32am On Apr 14, 2011
According to international media, Nigeria has witnessed 70% economic growth within the past few yrs yet the people are getting poorer. i attended university in Europe & most of the students who could afford the fees for years without a part time job were the kids of mostly pdp or pdp romancing contractors. The prosperity of the country feeds only these ones while the common man gets worse. Do we want this to continue, these men are not ready to change that life and GEJ is there to protect them, BE WISE!
PoliticsRe: Gen. Buhari Is Very Desperate To Become President. by swiftycool(m): 2:14pm On Apr 13, 2011
@efisher your deffinition of a mad man is quite interesting, i.e a person who does the same thing over and over again over a long time (lets say for like 12years) yet expects a different result. Now lets be practical, these phrases kinda describe pdp/Gej supporters voting d same old retardants over again yet expecting a change. May God cure them of Madness! can i get an Amen somebody
PoliticsRe: Freudian Slip: Bode George Said He Is The Symbol Of Pdp In Lagos by swiftycool(m): 1:39pm On Apr 13, 2011
Hmmm am not suprised, the old theif! Guys just watch out soon am sure Goodluck would also want to honour this thief with the countrys national honours just as he did for the theiving ex hairdresser turned speaker ETEH. PDP has no values morally and GEJ is no different, afterall Obj was more humble and seemed genuine 12years ago when first begging 4 yr vote. now he 4uked our country's ass and pimps her to any of his new puppets. Any one voted under pdp is d cabal's (including Bode George) puppet, BE WISE!

PoliticsRe: Benin Ore Road Has Been Fixed!(Some pictures) by swiftycool(m): 12:59pm On Apr 13, 2011
So it took the desperation for acceptance in order to win an election b4 the federal govt. could decide to repair a road that has destroyed businesses and resulted in several loss of lives for several years while still under the same pdp group. u guys better get all u can now o, cos i asure u if Gej gets back after election it will be back to the usual careless attitude. someone rushes to do all stuff just becos election is by the corner and u are fooled, c'mon wake up, i tot u were a NIGERIAN?

INEC actually confirmed that the ballot papers is meant for dormant ballot papers, they actually sent those caught to bring the ballot papers to INEC office.

Let's always post correct issues here, they've long released the men in police custody.
A liar is a Thief, ure fond of fighting hard in a desperate bid to cheat & cover up corruption like d pdp u support. oya provide d source to dis new gist if ur not a LIAR!
