Symphony007: Go to kastina state and ask yar adua in his grave what he did with it. Madarm transperancy. Why are you no probing the administration of your former boss, olusegun obasanjo and all the theft that blossomed there? You were part of the system but now you're out you think you can probe it?
You guys keep exposing the weakness of the president. Firstly, GEJ was an integral part of Yaradua's presidency. He indeed knows how the monies were filtered away including the ones pillaged in his administration. Secondly, if OBJ had plundered the nations wealth during his administration, GEJ now has the executive powers to bring him to book.
Enough with the excuses to justify government's inefficiencies!
Politics › Re: How GEJ/Yaradua Spent $67Billion by takedat(m): 11:31am On Jan 25, 2013
taharqa: Yes OBJ left more than $60billion in our Foreign Reserves b4 he left (though he had negotiatd d removal of $10billion for the NIPP projects just b4 leaving). A huge chunck of d money (more than $20billions was removd during d 3 yrs of Yar'adua who didnt do much during his time as I hv always said here); to be fair to Yar'adua, it was during his time dat d 2008-2009 World economic crisis happend such that parts of d fund was usd to augment d Money shard by d Federation and also to defend d Naira by Sanusi's CBN, although he also allowd State Governors to pressurise him to 'share' out sm of d moneys for their own 'urgent state projects'. This trend continued unfortunately briefly unda GEJ until middle of 2011 when d decline in d Reserve's value was reversd and it began to increase again. The Reserves and the Excess Crude fund for instance both increasd from about $32billion and $4.5billion at d beginning of 2012 to about $44.6billion and $9.6billion respectively within dat one yr period and is still increasing ($1billion was also set aside for d critical SWF fund within d same period). Questns needs to be askd about what ALL d monies drawn from d Account during d 3 yrs of Yar'adua and the 1st yr of GEJ were usd for both in d Federal but also in d State and LGA levels, still this is d FULLER stori...
Don't try to partially exonerate GEJ and put most of the blame on Yaradua. The truth is, they both mismanaged, aided the plundering of the monies with the governors as collaborators!

Why are you politicising the matter now? Are you also trying to embarrass the good government of GEJ? Is it because he is from the minority? Na Buhari send you or the cabal? Waiting for Okupe to reply you! Lol

Politics › Re: 13% Oil Derivation War by takedat(m): 7:55am On Jan 25, 2013
Though it is important that the governors be held accountable for monies accrued from derivation fund, the protesting communities will need to tread softly because the Northern law-makers who are trying to stifle the proposed 10% additional revenue to oil bearing communities in the ND in the PIB will use this is an excuse that since the communities are yet to feel the impact of the 13%, there will be no need for an additional 10%!

Politics › Re: Police Recruits Lament Inhuman Condition At Enugu Police College by takedat(m): 6:56am On Jan 25, 2013
The psychological trauma, inhuman conditions and deprivation these people witness is due to an unjust state and her unproductive ruling elites. The irony of it all is the seemingly overzealous manner these policemen help in protecting injustices and elite insensitivity.

Hopefully the President will not accuse #Vanguard of trying to embarrass his government. All the police facilities in state of despair nationwide should be fixed, those responsible for the rot punished. Enough of the panels and committees used to serve as red herrings!

Leave critics and bring ideas that can help defeat cabals
The only support GEJ could ever wish for from Nigerians was voting him into power. Now he has immense political powers to punish and bring down the gavel on corrupt public officials and contractors of failed public projects and their collaborators. GEJ instead has chosen to hide under useless and preposterous committees which he has regularly used as lullabies or red herrings. GEJ is simply lazy and incompetent!

deletrue: you will continue to wait till thy kingdom come. What governments all over world do is to create enabling environment for its citizens and that is what this writer is saying and telling you block head. You want jonah to buy you garri, meat, fish etc and bring to you. The problem with you and your likes is laziness. Come on, things to do for a live are already provided by this government. A typical yoruba person. Refuse to be lazy. Remember, no food for lazy man.

Blyss: LOL, what a joke. cheesy Why do these fools create a fuucked up panel for everything, and at the end do nothing about the problem the panel was created to address? Most of the funds given to fund these committees end up missing half the time. cheesy Nigeria is so fuucked up. The only working normal place in that nation is Lagos thanks to the rare presence of an actual halfway decent leader in that place.
lol. Its a deceitful and thieving government

I have no time to debate GEJ, that's your own worries, not mine.
The stench of hypocrisy hung in the air! You do not critique GEJ's government than I do.
Politics › Re: Fashola Is Fatigued Of Ideas – Lagos PDP by takedat(m): 6:37pm On Jan 23, 2013
Eko Ile: It is disconnect and whatever you think it is to you, but to me it's prudence and efficient management of info for the good of the public.
If this directive had emanated from the Presidency, you @Eko Ile would have read meanings to it. Its good to call a spade a spade and not a farming tool! I am an ardent supporter of Fashola, but this directive calls for suspicion!
Politics › Re: Fashola Is Fatigued Of Ideas – Lagos PDP by takedat(m):
Eko Ile: And who clears interviews? The same government officials right?

You said When government officials contradict or feed the populace wrong information contrary to what is on ground, then it shows there is a big disconnect in government.

But is this not exactly what the government is trying to prevent by making sure they coordinate their info and make sure the public is provided with factual info.

You can not succeed as an organization if you are not on the same page with clear understanding of facts in every government department and agency. The fact that I'm the commissioner for finance doesn't mean I know everything about the ministry of environment or what they are doing in LAMATA or what is going on in Town planning.

It's all about coordination and dissemination of facts for the benefit of all including the general public.
That was why I said there is a disconnect between the Government and government officials. This is a failing of the political leadership of the state, when officials are not keyed into his vision and agenda. A leader is one who has the ability to decide what is to be done and then get others to want to do it! A transformative leadership is cause, everything else is effect.

If government wants to coordinate and disseminate factual info, it doesn't need to send out circulars barring government officials from disseminating info, rather he could have just passed instructions to them that heads of ministry and agencies should be the one making pronouncements.

The impression the government gives out with this directive smacks of a hidden agenda!
Politics › Re: 11-man Panel To Probe Police Colleges’ Rot by takedat(m):
This government is an unserious one. Why constitute a panel comprising members of a bureaucracy that has hitherto been responsible for the problems of the Police Force? Is the minister just being aware of the inhabitable conditions of the college? A minister who needs the help of an outside body before he realises and act on the rot beneath him, is irresponsible and ought to be sacked but not with a GEJ, who harbours corrupt and inept individuals!
Politics › Re: Fashola Is Fatigued Of Ideas – Lagos PDP by takedat(m):
Eko Ile: Openness has nothing to do with getting out there the right and factual info regarding government's activities. They are not saying you must not talk to anybody, they are basically saying clear your interview instead of spewing rubbish to the public.

Stop fighting your own good and interest.
And who is in the position to give out right information on government activities if not government officials. When government officials contradict or feed the populace wrong information contrary to what is on ground, then it shows there is a big disconnect in government.

Politics › Re: Catholic Church Pulls Out Of CAN For Being “run As Part Of The Government” by takedat(m): 5:16pm On Jan 23, 2013
Beautiful! CAN is the religious arm of PDP under the leadership of Oritsejefor. A religious organisation that cannot publicly denounce the corruption and hypocrisy of the religious and civil leadership of the day. CAN remains a joke for now and not until it recovers the lost moral voice and point the accusing finger at the failed political leadership before it can be taken serious.
Enough of this mockery of God, even Christ made a whip because the zeal for his Father's house had consumed him!
Politics › Re: Attack On Emir: Presidency Hits Back At Buhari by takedat(m): 2:41pm On Jan 23, 2013
rasputinn: I'm not surprised at Buhari's opportunistic rant.He so often tries to politicise every incident and shamelessly seeks to profit therefrom, however and unfortunately for him,the more he tries, the more uncaring,unempathic,hard-hearted and wicked he reveals himself to be and the more his desperation for power shows
Seems you do not know the role of opposition in a democracy. if a government saddled with the responsibility of protecting the lives and properties of its citizenry is negligent of its duty, the opposition cannot be blamed when it reminds government of dereliction of duty most especially when it is an honest criticism. There is nothing like politicising a stone faced reality, Government should sit-up and stop buck passing its misfortunes to others!
