No one is comparing Amaechi to Tinubu, even at that, Tinubu didn't just become what he is today overnight. It was a long tortureous process. When he had issues with Obj then, the same thing u all talk now about Amaechi was said about him. How on earth can small tinubu fight mighty Obj, at the end, we all know who is laughing last here.
Again, am yet to see any dirt on the path of Amaechi that may later be his downfall so he is free to continue.
A man's life is at risk and u are asking him not to voice out. That doesn't make sense.
Is Lamido, aliyu or kwankasos life at risk? Then why are u comparing them to Amaechi asking him to shut up. Even at that, he only explained the genesis of his problem with retardeen for all to know. Is that talking too much? I don't think so.
Get this straight, Amaechi can fight and frustrate the FG as long as his hands are clean. There is a precedence to this.
As long as jonadafts proxies like wije continues to speak and attack, it will be foolish for him to keep quiet.
Amaechi is on the right path.[/b]
and im putting to you once again that AMAECHI's LIFE IS NOT AT ANY RISK WHATSOEVER. The dude is just an attention seeking prima dona simple as that. An ADC was assigned to him who he cant even account for as it stands now after using the man to beat up law makers at the Rivers house of assembly. If Amaechi has nothing to hide concerning the fracas at the HoA, he should provide his ex adc let the man go and defend himself at Abuja, if innocent then he will come back and continue his job, if guilty then another adc will be provided for him. Mind you i commend Amaechi just the way i commend other politicians but only when absolutely deserved or necessary and not just anytime he fancies hearing his voice on radio. When you say Amaechi's hands are not dirty, i dont know if i should laugh or just shake my head in pity. His hands are clean yet he took out a court injunction restraining the fg and its agencies including the efcc, icpc etc from investigating the Rivers state govt financial affairs. If his hands are really clean, he should even invite the anti corruption agencies by himself na HABA

Before next elections, Anambra people should pls ask Ngige if he has gone to renew his contract at okija shrine or he has signed a contract at a new shrine. These little things are important you know grin.... Also ask him if he is willing to be loyal to his brand spanking new godfathers so as to avoid another kidnapping saga

luvinhubby: Please what made NL satanic? angry
That your political opinion is not accepted by all does not make anyone satanic. Okorocha and Ngige sacrificed the political interest of their people for personal political ambition and they would be made to pay for it.
please ignore that castrated zombie. His ilk are actually the ones clamoring for a dictatorial one party state with their own party in power. The term "true democracy" is anathema to them eg lg elections in Edo state & Ekiti state's Fayemi vs his party member Bamidele. We know them well, their antecedents are legend even here on nairaland, they just blame others for the crimes they themselves have committed

McLuhan: My brother, I agree with you entirely. I think it is foolhardy for any governor to spend as much time as Amaechi does fighting (real and imagined) enemies. How does he find the time to attend to the real issues for which he was elected? I am not speaking for Amaechi's opponents, neither do I support them. I repeat: I do NOT support any of them. But as an indigene of Rivers State, I am compelled to ask myself the following questions:

1) In what particular area of development has Amaechi made Rivers State the national pacesetter, given the huge monthly allocation that the state receives from the federation?

2) Can one really say that Amaechi has always put the interest of Rivers State first in all the many battles he has fought and continues to fight? To pose this question in a different way: How has Rivers State benefitted from Amaechi's confrontations with the Jonathans, and with Omehia, Okonjo-Iweala, Dickson, Bamanga Tukur, Mbu, Odilli, the traditional rulers, lecturers at RSUST, NANS, residents of Rivers State whose houses and business premises were demolished without compensation, and with a host of others too numerous to mention? How has Amaechi's antagonism towards these people translated to benefits for Rivers State?

3) Can those who applaud Amaechi in everything he does solemnly vouch that the Governor has given our state the stellar leadership that it deserves? Can anyone truly say that Amaechi is less corrupt or less inept than President Jonathan, whom he accuses of corruption and ineptitude everyday? Is there any numerical difference between twelve and a dozen?

4) As an indigene of Rivers State, am I expected to look up to the Federal Government to pave the state road that passes through my neighbourhood in PH? Wouldn't it have been wiser for the State Government to construct such roads than to invest billions in the uncompleted monorail project, which one World Bank economist, Dr Martina Angelo, has described as a "wasteful monstrosity"?

My conclusion: I am not interested in Amaechi's personal battles. I will not join him in such conflicts. Rather, as a native and resident of Rivers State, I am interested in the governance of my state. Let Amaechi sit down and govern Rivers State properly!
GBAM !!! You speak as the true son of your father just that i find it funny how people who dont live in Rivers and those who cant point the state out on a map of Nigeria are the ones portraying themselves as experts on affairs going on in the state.

Naive, not smart politically, all na the same thing. Agreed, u don't fight with dirty hands and that explains Tinubus success. Yet to see any dirt on Amaechi so far so he may succeed.
Bottom line, u can fight FG and suceed if u do it right.
Amaechi is also naive/not smart right now as it stands, one proof is how he keeps shooting his mouth off every single opportunity he has compared to the 6 other governors in his camp. You dont fight the fg with dirty hands and go unscathed except youre going to be politically relevant or an asset in future and thats the secret of Tinubu's success. So its a sacrilege for you to compare a neophyte like Amaechi who thinks way too much of himself but who is quite politically expendable at the drop of a feather to someone like Tinubu, a heavy weight and political general whether anyone (including me) likes it or not. Some people want to live in denial but Tinubu handed the SW to Gej during the 2011 elections, 5 out of 6 states what does Amaechi have to offer politically ? The man should just act as matured as the other G7 governors. SIMPLE

Okija_juju: And let me just tell you now that I understand you in every way.. But sadly, it just has to be so. Buying the right of way for that monorail was very expensive.. Okay ask yourself this question, 'How would this monorail get to Obigbo? Where would it pass in places like mile one, through to Water lines. How many houses would we need to break down. How much do we pay in compensation, how much is spent to achieve this'.. The amount spent on compensation alone for that project was astronomical.. More would be spent for the next hase which will run from Azikiwe to waterlines.. Then the third phase to artillery or so.. But each leg will cost billions. Thats why all the new cities being built all take into consideratiion allowance for mordern transportation, water supply and gaslines. So that should the government someday be able to give Nigerians gas in their homes like they do abroad, the money spent will not be that much as space for such was considered in the planning from start. If the monoail is completed to obigbo, all public trans port buses will be banned from running on Aba road. That will reduced the traffic on Aba road astronomically. That Monorail is a futuristic development that I dont expect an alcoholic like you to understand..

i gree say i way high but i definitely know what i was saying, the monorail scam runs a very short distance between two bus stops that are not even far from each other and are very strollable, now compare it with the billions involved in its construction ;(

you cant say Kalu isnt smart politically, we can only say he was just naive thinking he could successfully challenge federal might without consequences some of which were the withdrawal of his airlines' operating license and corruption charges which he couldn't escape from and its the same mistake Amaechi is making now i.e you cant fight the fg with dirty hands, they have a lot of things to nail you down with that aside i dont know in what context youre talking about Tinubu but everyone knows he's a sagacious politician who can only be underestimated at own peril

You see, sometimes i keep wondering if Amaechi is talking about this same Rivers state where person dey. He is a very funny man but now his comedy is turning pathetic, is it not this same Rivers whr people are complaining that Amaechi stopped working immediately he won 2nd term ? He talks too much and ive always said his mouth will put him in trouble one day. If people should observe very well, his fellow travellers in the G7 group hardly say anything but are fighting their cause quietly, why cant this boy of a man follow that wise path ? Many people who dont know the nearest bus parks in their states to ph have suddenly become experts in Rivers affairs just because Amaechi doesnt like their common enemy Gej isokay. Amaechi na rugged akpa man, nobody has confronted him about the ignoble role he played with his boss Odili while he served as speaker in the Rivers state HA but one day breeze go blow and fowl yansh go show, in the mean time pls complete the multi billion naira monorail to nowhere for your people make we take am snap picture

they both deserve respect if not for anything but at least for the offices they occupy. Just that some people on this forum especially amongst the so called "progressives" are suffering from intellect myopia hence they will always cry foul when served a dose of their own medicine. But please respect the governor, just criticize any of his policies you're not comfortable with
