This is very good avenue for constructive ideas development, An investment must yield appreciable profit, I will think of an investment?? |
That is very commendable by our national police, we still need police reform in Nigeria. |
Sorry I don't want to live close to people like that or breath the same air. |
No it is a Nigeria agenda, I don't care where sanusi is from, what I will judge is his actions, Don't judge a man by his race, creed, color, religion but by his actions, |
I must say Sanusi is a courageous man, he has is short comings, but indeed he is a courageous man. Corruption is too deep in Nigeria. Some would say we should not set a whole village on fire just to catch a few rats, corruption in Nigeria is not a small problem, it is endemic, it comparable to disease carrying rats, we might as well burn down the village and eradicate the rats, that is making life difficult in the village. |
Robert Kiyosaki may not be a saint, but he surely has good ideas about building personal wealth, Take it or live it, Life is full of risks, The main point is if you want to be Wealthy, play smart, save enough, invest wisely, and build solid connections as u go, |
Solodo should go and do something with his spare time rather than entering politics, His performance as CBN Governor was not totally clean, I suggest he joins an NGO, Fight against Corruption in Public and Private lives, |
Yes expose those idiots that contnue to destroy the image of our beloved country, |
Money is the root of all evil period. |
Ngige all the way, Anambras want Ngige to return to office in 2010 to finish what he started –good governance. He must complete his work. We allowed none patriots to force him out of office. We are demanding of him to return. Democracy is serving the people, providing for their needs, with the ultimate purpose of building a just society. In the end, the peoples' purpose is the government's responsibility and that is my silent revolution, and I hope my enduring legacy." His Excellency, Dr. Chris Ngige

I am loyal to nobody but myself, I am a yoruba man period, |
Whao the statement "Africans as a whole are not only not averse to cutting off their nose to spite their face; they regard such an operation as a triumph of cosmetic surgery," is very ugly but was a candid picture of what was happening in the country at that time, This was the middle of the Nigerian Civil War, , Imagine the gory scene of the massacares in the North and the 30 month pogrom such an event is very distasteful to a person with some civility, , In my head I can picture Nigerian leaders (i.e. gowon) happy to inform their british Lords that the war (the self inflicting destruction) is going on well for the country, federal side, I guess good news, To the ambassador there is no winner the only loser is Nigeria itself. |
I concur with Naijaking but before the abrogation of the land use act, Land dispute resolution courts and panels should be properly instituted and rule of law should be seriously enforced, Then land ownership and oil and gas resource can be made an individual or people oriented matter, People that refuse to adequately pay their tax to the FEDS or State or Local government would be treated as criminals, naa government confistication of their property including land properties and the oil and gas in It. If after all these the Niger delta remains in mess then Na dem sabi, |
The truth of the matter is that Yaraweak is very weak, and not comfortable with competitiion in the International arena, Like the saying if you don't participate you would perish, Nigeria would lose more if we do not participate in internation arena like the UN, etc |
I do not really know much about this governor but I know that skin bleaching has detrimental effects on a person's health, identity, and self image. It reflects a dearth of deep reflective thinking on a person. A Governor of a state in the largest Black nation on earth, a Man that supposedly represents the hopes of over 3Million Black people should never be near a bleaching cream. Governor AKALA needs psychoanalytic evaluation of his understanding of self, image, and identity. Akala should resign and go for therapy, the seven steps would help. |
I don't have enough information to make an informed judgement on this issue, The question is why do we need a new international Airport in Lagos?? |
imagine graduates to become taxi drivers in your own country, no be Yankee oh for Naija nkan ba je. |
Omo Naija is GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT |
Nigerians we are stupid, how do people like this get into position of authority, before I use to think Nigerians encourage mediocrity, promoting failures to higher position of power and influence. Now Nigeria is fully practicing crimitocracy, the more criminally minded you are the higher you go in your chosen field. |
Having stayed away from the country for some years now, I strongly commend the efforts of the Leadership team of the lagos state government, The problems of Lagos is huge to say the least, Urban degradation, congestion, crime, disease, poverty, etc As its often said Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile. True there are other governor performing wonders in their states, I don't know the type of problems confronting these states but I know lagos and the enormous work to be done, |
Nothing will happen after he is arrested, heaven will not fall, IBB is influential true, but nothing will happen, Nigeria is a very complex country, there are too many competing cliques or groups, |
Private guns is allowed in Nigeria since colonial times. If you need a gun for your hunting, self defence, you can get it legally, I don't know why people are screaming murder, The Nigerian police can issued firearm permits for single-shot or double barrelled shotguns, and for bolt-action hunting rifles. The gun use in nigeria should be upgraded, throw away every muzzle loading, single-shot dane guns. If you have an hubby for shooting like myself, then go get a permit and get a gun and learn how to shoot straight, shooting is an art, I have improve my accuracy at shooting dynamic targets by almost 40% in about 3 months of practicing. Nigerian should free there minds and learn new things, stop limiting your self if nobody is limiting you, |
It is a cultural thing, deeply rooted, |
Once you determine a girl u trying to get close to is a fake girl, you move on, You ignore fake girls period! |
Personally I do not know much about Mr. Akala, I do not live in oyo state or have any attachment to the state, I do not know any thing about his performance, so I don't want to make any pronounciation, I ask my buddy from oyo state, and he has no real positive thing to say about Mr. Akala, Lavish spending is what I have heard, Adedibu debacle, Daughter marriage extravaganza, 25Million Naira public toilet, etc Can you educate us on the problems Akala has solved in Oyo state. Here is a guide . State the problem . What was his solution plan. . How was it implemented . Result of the Implementation. quantitative & Qualitative I am not a cynic but honestly what has he been able to accomplish in 4 years. |
Becomrich you have a point african people are the same, we should not be blinded by artificial borders, Becomrich, the only thing I have learnt from your continuous stream of pictures and maps is that there are indeed rich yoruba sub groups in Benin republic. I sincerely thank you for that. Ketu,Sabe, and Dassa are missing on the most yoruba view of yoruba people, The carving of boundaries among people was artificial, A YORUBA IS STILL A YOURUBA!!!!I am begining to research more about the Dassa, Savalou, Sabe, Mokole, bante, etc |
Islamic or no islamic banking if Nigerians are going to be the managers and employees , anything can happen, I have said it again and again it is not the system that is wrong but the people that do not exhibit the right character, |
Why u dey spoil business for beans sellers, ![]() |
This is a no brainer the five banks in question overexposed themselves by heavilly financing the Capital market and the OIL & Gas industry. With the crash of the Capital Market and Oil Prices their liquidity problem started. Lenders were not paying their loans on time and their CAR % fell below the acceptable 10%. That provided an opportunity for people with agendas to take ownership of the banks. The Executives of the bank are responsible for the poor risk management of the bank. CBN injects capital into the banks, and sell there share to Local and International Investors. These can provide an opportunity for people that lost out in the consolidation process of Solodo to use this opportunity to become sizeable owners of these Banks. |
debtors' prison! Nigeria is still in the middle ages, Government Lawenforcement agent arresting people for having debts, Yes debtors were sold into slavery, thrown into prison, tortured, 500 years ago Note: Debtors in Dubai and Greece can be imprisoned for failing to pay their debts to Banks or Corporate Bodies. |
LadyT you can put a report together that completely summarizes all the point pro and cons the decision of the lagos state Government. 23 pages of ideas is a place to start, |
Seriously this is not an easy issue we have to balance view between proponents of Lagos Urban Renewal and advocates for the protection of the rights of street beggers. |
