FamilyRe: How Would You Regard Your Husband If He Told You 2 Abort A Pregnancy? by Tatase(f): 3:55am On Oct 07, 2008
First find out why he wants to do with that. If you don't agree with abortion, explain to him why you don't feel you can morally and if its just that he doesn't want anymore children for financial/socioeconomic reasons, you guys can compromise on this one being your last and you guys can look into some long-term family planning like an IUD or the contraceptive pill or something. Number of children is a topic that should always be discussed before marrying or before you start having the children so that everyone is on the same page.
CultureRe: Any Ijaw Here? by Tatase(f): 1:20am On Oct 07, 2008
my mom is ijaw so I'm half. I don't speak Ijaw too well, I talk like a baby in it. But I don't really recognize any of the dialects anyone has spoken here. Samples of my Ijaw (with dodgy spelling) for those trying to learn:

Tamuno: God
Ibi: Good
I dan loku: How are you?
An loku oforie/Ibi me: I'm fine
I we ri so: Leave me alone
Bo: Come
Sebo: Bring it
So: Go
O fo rie: It's not there
Fikiri: Hurry
Baweria: Good night
RomanceRe: Would You Seriously Consider Getting Married To A Guy Who Smokes? by Tatase(f): 12:20am On Oct 07, 2008
Okija_juju:
Whats the big deal about smoking??
It's a personal choice for the smoker but not for the people around who have to breathe the passive smoke and then smell like they're smokers. It's not that its a big deal as such, but I think it can be a deal-breaker in some relationships.
RomanceRe: Would You Seriously Consider Getting Married To A Guy Who Smokes? by Tatase(f): 12:13am On Oct 07, 2008
I wouldn't go out with a smoker and so I couldn't marry a guy who smoked because of my lungs and our children's lungs. I think I'm just not used to it because I didn't grow up around many smokers and I don't really have anyone in my circle that is more than a social occasional smoker. So I can't really imagine what condition it would have to be. I don't think there's anything wrong with it if you tolerated the smoking when you're going out with the guy, then I don't think it should make a difference to marry him.
RomanceRe: Is It Possible::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: by Tatase(f): 12:04am On Oct 07, 2008
It's not possible to find out whether or not you're pregnant the day after sex, but it IS possible for fertilization (sperm meeting egg) to occur anywhere from 12hrs -5days after sex, and it depends on personal belief whether you're pregnant at that point, or later on when the foetus is actually embedded in the womb and pregnancy hormones are released which is when pregnancy tests can be done (this is at about at least 14-15 days post-fertilization many times more).

I won't lie I'm a united fan but i like mourinho. I know sometimes he's a little full of sh** but I like him. He's never boring and he says the things you know other coaches are DYING to say but are too tactful to.
SportsRe: If You Must Choose Between The Super Eagles And Your Club: by Tatase(f): 11:08pm On Oct 06, 2008
That's tough. Like lets say Manchester United vs. Super Eagles? Hmmmmmm, I think I would remain neutral because it would be a win-win situation for me. I would be fine with any result.

I love Cary Grant those cute funny romances he was in from the 40s and 50s. My Favourites are:

His Girl Friday

TV/MoviesRe: Dancing With The Stars by Tatase(f): 10:40pm On Oct 06, 2008
My faves are Rocco DiSpirito and Toni Braxton.

Somehow I am surprised by Kim Kardashian is such a bad dancer. Chei too bad. I don't know why I'm so surprised. But she might be coming back this week because the beach volleyball chick has to have surgery. Maybe we'll sha see.

TV/MoviesRe: Need Help Remembering A Movie by Tatase(f): 10:04pm On Oct 06, 2008
Could it be the movie: "This Christmas"? It's the only black christmas movie I can think of. It has Chris Brown and Regina King in it and it's about the drama that happened when the family got together for christmas (well the prodigal-ish son returns after not having been home for a while). Although it was released last year sha.

@Sauron

Thank you for mentioning Uncle Bobby. I almost died of laughter when I read Hoddle was the best english coach. Hardee-hahhaha. That's too funny. People like Mourinho learned from Bobby Robson whereas Glenn Hoddle, well i mean he won trophies as a player and was Fa Cup and Leage Cup runner up, and yes won games with England when they were actually good not just hyped but i mean can we compare him to greats like Bobby Robson or even Terry Venables who's actually won stuff as a manager?

And I know there are Bundesliga fans but it has to be said, it's not one of the more exciting leagues. I've given it a try but to me it's like watching Middlesbrough and Fulham over and over again, let's just say its a little dry.
RomanceRe: What Do You Tell Your Girl When She Discovers You Are Cheating With Her Best Fr by Tatase(f): 7:38pm On Oct 06, 2008
There's nothing to say in this situation. You can't even say sorry because u still want to carry on with the best friend. Well that friendship is sha probably ruined so i don't think there's anything to say to your girl. She's already seen that you're a cheat and thus not a good guy and if she's smart she probably doesn't want to hear anything you have to say anyway because there's really no explanation and you're really not sorry about it.
RomanceRe: She Has Sworn Not To Leave Me by Tatase(f): 7:29pm On Oct 06, 2008
Make it clear to her that you don't think you're compatible enough to get married and you don't want to waste anymore of her time and that she's a lovely girl and that you want to free her to find the guy that will adore her and love her the way she deserves. Tell her that she deserves more than you're able to give her and that you feel like you're holding each other back from finding the right people. Tell her that even if she's saying now that she doesn't mind you not wanting to get married, eventually she'll resent you and that you don't want that and that you're trying to be honest with her because you don't want to disappoint her later or anything and so it's best to part in a mature way like adults.

@ Tatase, do you think I will fall so easy and actually believe the master's "NollyWood Survey" project being carried out by you, is absolutely free? Please give me a break. You fell so easily to been hired by a total stranger, whose voice you've never had. That was incredible! Na wa for Naija babes.
@ mj

If you do the survey, you'll see it's about Nollywood and societal percpeptions. I don't know if in your own experience Master's theses are allowed to be sponsored by the stakeholders involved but it is not so in mine so I wonder where you think the money is coming from. But that's sha ur business.

As for being hired by someone whose voice I've never heard. Yes of course why not? Is it handwritten? Or are you dictating it over d fone? I've peen paid to write essays for pple I've never spoken to and to do translation edits. What am I doing with your voice? It's called email and paypal and i was actually carrying on the joke. I'm assuming YOU are not actually writing the book (because it would be really funny if you were, really really funny). Anyway you need to get over yourself w/the naija babes generalisation, thats not cool. You're really not that slick and the smart ones can see that.
SportsRe: Adebayor Temporarily Retires From Togo Nt by Tatase(f): 6:40pm On Oct 06, 2008
This is not at all surprising from Adebayor, I mean its not the first time he's holding his national team to ransome because of principles/pride/poor management/money (re: world cup '06 where he again caused bad feelings in his team at the event proper over money and management). I mean its bad that your country mistreats you when you come for international matches (i mean with all the fan adulation and being a national hero and star of the team) AND we all know he's positively STARVING (living on that 75k a week shoestring budget ) so he can't reconcile himself to just sucking it up for national pride like the rest of his teammates.

Of course it's not right that FAs cheat players and organize things badly, it's horrible and unfair! But, at the same time, he's not the only one and he's not really punishing anyone but his Togolese fans and his teammates by temporarily resigning. The whole thing is just immature. If he wants to retire, he should retire like a man and fully burn his bridges and stop this faffing around. Is it because he's the star and he knows they'll take him back anytime he's ready that he's "temporarily resigning". It's just not right.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Nani Is Better Than Ronaldo by Tatase(f): 5:12am On Oct 06, 2008
I agree he helped. I am not saying he didn't. He is a striker so of course he scored goals. However, I am just saying that many times he needs a lot of chances. That's all. And for that reason, I am not convinced. Basically, I like him but he's not my favourite player in the team. But I mean I've had this convo with many other ManUtd fans who don't necessarily agree. And in the end we can agree to disagree.

P.S. I love (not just like) my team with all my heart, God knows ManUtd is my 2nd religion, but I'm not the type of fan that is like oh just because it's my team everyone in it is automatically wonderful and perfect because that's not true of any team.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Nani Is Better Than Ronaldo by Tatase(f): 4:20am On Oct 06, 2008
A-40:
How could you talk about arguably your best performer last season like that! Did you watch any of Utd's game or did you listen to then on radio? shocked
I watched 90% of our games last season. As a team almost everybody to a man had a fantastic season. But I have to argue back that our best performer last season was by far Ronaldo and then the defence: take your pick of Vidic, Evra, or Ferdinand, who were pretty much air-tight. I'm not saying Tevez is bad or anything or that he doesn't perform, I know most ManUtd fans adore him and I like him too a lot, especially when he scores. I'm just saying that I am not 100% convinced by him. I don't know maybe I expected more after everything that went down with him prior to his coming and maybe I'm being too picky, but just my personal (and I know unpopular-thus me phrasing the question as am i the only manutd fan who thinks etc etc) opinion as a MU fan  I feel that he has A LOT more chances than he puts away sort of like Andy Cole in the late 90s (arguably one of our legends too). It's not like I expect everyone to agree with me, I was just wondering whether anyone else had noticed or thought so too.
RomanceRe: Would You Tell Your Friend? by Tatase(f): 9:41pm On Oct 05, 2008
I wouldn't tell them but I will drop hints and lead them to find out for themselves but I'd never directly tell because even if you're right and even if they believe you, if you have anything to do with the breakup somehow from then on, you'll be known as the relationship breaker and your friend will never trust you with a relationship again because she'll feel you're always looking for something bad in the guy and something wrong in the relationship.
RomanceRe: Can Someone Tell Me What Is Wrong Here. ( My Girl Sister ). by Tatase(f): 9:26pm On Oct 05, 2008
I think the text was a little inappropriate. First of all calling the gf's mom "dear" is not okay. Dear is for your partner, or your own mom or aunt or for a girl younger than you or at least someone that's like your contemporary. I don't think it's appropriate. As for the "missing you," it's one type ooo. It reads a little funny as in do you have anything special going on to miss. Unless she's like your mother-in-law, its strange because she's not your relative so its like what about her do you miss? her smile? the way she says hello? it's a little weird and maybe over-familiar for my tastes. But of course it depends on the relationship you have with her. Maybe you guys are very very tight as in you could hang out even if your gf wasn't there. i wouldn't like it if my bf sent that kind of text to my mom not because anything was going on but because i think its a little disrespectful and overfamiliar. Basically just apologize to the girl/gf's mother and say you didn't intend any offense.
RomanceRe: Ladies In The House, Help, I Love This Girl by Tatase(f): 9:16pm On Oct 05, 2008
@ poster,

Your current strategy won't work as in seducing her from the other guy with money and charm etc because ify is right, it shows that she can be won over by these things and when she's with u someone else can win her over from you. Let her be. Force yourself to distance yourself a little from her and let her miss you and decide if she wants to break up her current relationship and be with you. Basically stop pressuring her and go your way and move on, let HER make the next move.

@ mj
first of all the nollywood survey is for a master's project (please do the survey since u're so interested and tell your friends) so i'm actually doing it for free. However, i do need to pay my bills though abi, so i am available for hire to proof-read your sexual tension manuscript and/or your "secret guide to not being a loser with girls anymore" handbook that you want to share with poster in clandestine emails, wink tongue

I mean we all know they won't finish 3rd but good for them they're following in the footsteps of Reading and Wigan from seasons past i.e. freshman sensation. I'm always sympathetic to the underdog and wish them all the best and more grease to their elbows etc etc.
RomanceRe: I Love This transgendered, But What Can Be Done? by Tatase(f): 8:00pm On Oct 05, 2008
Wait come o, is your er partner a transgendered as in a transsexual as in did the surgery to be like that intentionally. Or do you mean like a hermaphrodite (as in the birth defect) so as in was born that way? If it's a she-male as in transexual then that one does your partner kukuma want to change? If it's a hermaphrodite as in was born with both male and female sex organs then yeah definitely there's surgery to fix that. I saw it on Dr. 90210 where that Nigerian Falcons player who was a hermaphrodite but didn't realize she was different and was raised as a girl and her parents didn't tell her and she found out at a Women's Soccer tournament where they were like you're a man and the s/he went on that E! show Dr. 90210 to get the male parts removed. I mean if she's concerned she should go to see a doctor at a big hospital (not a small clinic) who can discuss her options with her. but yeah definitely it can be fixed.
SportsRe: Who Is Better:kanu Or Okocha by Tatase(f): 7:40pm On Oct 05, 2008
I think Okocha is the more rounded player. he's awesome to watch and he has skills and a poweful shot. Kanu has the gift of always being in the right place at the right time whereas okocha rocks that ball. SO I prefer Okocha.
SportsRe: Happy Mikel by Tatase(f): 7:35pm On Oct 05, 2008
why must we be like this? why can't we be objective? Is it because he's Nigerian, he's automatically the best at his team? If he's good I'm more than happy to say he's good, whatever team he plays at. I'm just keeping it real. I don't think we need to be bringing race into it. What is true is true, black or white. I certainly don't waste feelings of hate on him. I said why I didn't like him and I don't think it had anything to do with him being black. Moreover maybe you should ask him why he doesn't like Nigeria and why answering when he's called to the National Team is always such a big drama for him.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Nani Is Better Than Ronaldo by Tatase(f): 7:27pm On Oct 05, 2008
I agree with poster a little. I really do see something in Nani everytime I watch him play, like this boy is special, but so many wasted chances and he's so immature in his playing and I'm not really seeing any improvement. Maybe he needs constant play or I don't know maybe more practice and discipline but I think he definitely has the potential to do something amazing at United.

Also someone (i think laplace) mentioned Tevez. Am i the only United fan still not sold on Tevez? Like he scores and he does stuff right, but I'm not convinced. To me he's a little Andy Cole-esque as in needing soooooooo many chances to score as in to me he'D find it hard to hit the backside of a cow with a banjo. But he's United so of course I cheer for him anyway and hope he can sharpen up.

i hope you Manchester United fans are aware the case in Norway went mikel's way so u are mearnt to pay back the money dash u guys last time.
the guy is making his fucking money and playing his games over there and u are here dying in envy.
mikel na the guy of the moment.
remember he is the hottest nigerian player at the moment.
the no 1 super eagles candidate in europe.
what does that have to do with anything? please we're not talking about the super eagles we're talking premiership. and as far as hotness unless you're talking about fineness, i don't think so. yak though inconsistent is having a good start to the season. Ok to be fair, Mikel had an ok-ish game against Villa today but he has not been much more than a how-for-do midfielder in his time at chelsea like if deco and essien are fit which one is he hoping to displace? or abi he wants to take over from lampard, j. cole or ballak? Abeg jare! He might be making money but at least we're not the ones forking the change over for his erratic behavior and poor tackling skills. Please please i think we will manage with what we have and as for mikel, I call it a lucky escape, a blessing from God, chelsea is more than welcome to him.
SportsRe: Your World Cup Goal Of All Time? by Tatase(f): 9:55pm On Oct 03, 2008
I think the Maradona "Hand of God" goal (1986 QF against England) is my favourite just for the sheer audacity of it all. Like imagine getting away with that today. Maradona was magic or a god.
SportsRe: 5 Most Recognizable Sportsman In History by Tatase(f): 9:50pm On Oct 03, 2008
I think your top 5 is correct personally although I might replace Pele with Tyson with Pele coa although Pele deserves it more but I dunno if most americans would be able to point him out in a picture and tyson is unforunately more recognizable globally mostly because of scandal and big spending and maybe boxing in the 80s and 90s. Maybe not though, not sure. But thats my opinion.

I'm not really losing sleep over the fact that you want to consign me to the unnattractive category,  that is as it is,  what i was saying was that all of a sudden it was like you were spouting this "Sexual Tension" everywhere as if its a new phenomenon that you've suddenly mastered/discovered (and by the way i'm sure i know what ST is 10q AND i was only teasing) and I think its kind of superfluous in romantic discourse to be like "sexual tension" this and that unless you're writing like a book or an instructional guide about what sexual tension is which is why i asked.
