Business › Re: How I Recieved An Instant Loan Of Over N1m Without Going To The Bank by temi4fash(m): 10:59am On Aug 29, 2019 |
Joy2Dwise: I kept receiving pop-up messages from GTB on my mobile app stating that I was qualified to apply for loan but I kept ignoring them cus I knew that getting a loan is not as easy as that. I knew what I went through on few occasions when I had to take loans as small as 300k to sort out some immediate financial needs. It got to a point when I began to expect the bank to request the death certificate of my great grand father before they approve a loan amount that is not even up to my monthly earnings. The most embarrassing moment was when two close friends refused to sign guarantor forms because they claimed it was against their principle. I had to swallow my pride and go to a junior who eventually stood in as my guarantor at the end.
Out of curiousity, I clicked "accept'' just to see if it was real. Next message I got was that "your application has been accepted". To cut the long story short, I received an alert of about 1m.150k just few hours later and this sounded incredible. A scanned copy of the repayment plan was later emailed to me and when I did the calculation, I found out that the total percentage of interest is about 12% as against 22 - 26% which I was forced to cough out in previous loans I took from different banks in the past. This to me was a good deal even though I don't have a specific plan for it. Had to push it to my son's account while I wrap my head around what best to do with the money.
This instant loan and the attractive interest rate kept me wondering on the following:
1. Does it mean the banks now have so much money in their coffers to lend out to customers even without asking? 2. What is the reason for the low interest rate which to me is still far lower than what is obtainable?
I called my account officer to ascertain if I can invest it in FG bond but I wasn't impressed with the interest rate so I'm going to keep it in the bank pending on when I decide on what to do with it. Any good idea is however welcomed. Can you confirm how much they are asking to pay back in total. |

olypharm: OK I just studied it, the rate is 11.94% so u do 11.94 /36500 to get 1308 which is supposed to b d daily rate, but if u login to d app u will see recent transaction, dey deducted 75naira per day before but now it has increased to 94naira per day. Below is a screenshot of the deduction. Deducted or added. The thing is MMF rate fluctuating now, Could be 11.9% today, tomorrow 12.3% and this affect how much you get credited. You could check with the customer care to be sure |

opydan: Thank you sir. For clarity sake, for instance if l deposit 100k with First bank for 30days, with their rate of 6% does that mean the interest will be 6k on is there a calculation around it. Thanks No sir, Your total pay out would 100K + ((100k * 6 * 30)/(100*365)) = 100,493 |

yemkaf: I think I'll also consider using this I-Invest, I have been looking for other way to diversify. I had account with united capital running there MMF and they do have reasonable rate of 13%+ but lately they have really retrograde in terms of interest rate. I had to withdraw my money from FBN MMF and used the I-invest when i saw the rate. FBN dropped to 11% for some days last week. Had to move some of my cash to I -invest. Although, i hear rate should be going up soon. |

koonbey: I think there's a perspective people are missing.
For some, like me, not having the fun that most people trip for now is not as a result of being a sufferhead that only wants to see money grow.
It's because of a recognition that I have more exquisite taste when it comes to fun and that forgoing today's fun and investing the money will help the real fun come faster, and enable me to enjoy it for longer.
When I'm worth billions and have retired from active work by age 50, 60 - what's to stop me from "balling" across countries multiple times a day , drinking the finest champagne in the swankiest clubs and doing all the other things I want without concern?
Every 100k I don't spend by refusing an invitation to go clubbing brings that day a day, week or month closer, so it's a really easy choice. Now this is what am talking about... I have a family friend that stays on the expressway. He just celebrated his 50th birthday last year. Once there is small hold up baba works from home.. His life is so flexible that I dont think there is any country in the world he cant afford to go to any time.. By the way he is a Christian and a very good one at that. He taught me to work and invest when body and mind still strong. That at a time, you would relax and money would work for you as much as you did for it at the beginning of your life. |

miss00000: We met in school during my pre-degree and dated for 7 years before he proposed to me. Before the proposal, both our parents had been pestering us to get married and start having children.
We started trying 6months prior, and 6 months after proposing I got pregnant. Few months later we did our introduction and got married (registry) march this year.
About two years ago, he met a lady where he was supplying his goods. According to him, the lady has been doing everything in her power to push his business. Every time I suspect there was more to their friendship, he always assured me there was nothing, that she's just a friend. sometimes he would even travel with her to Abuja to sell his goods which I had to allow since it was helping his business.
8 months into my pregnancy I noticed a drastic change like coming home very late, he hardly eats at home, he barely talks to memos he's always on his phone. I knew something was wrong and every time I talk to him, he always assured me that everything was fine.
After the delivery and naming of my baby I expected things to go back to the way it was, but it became worse. he changes his phone password almost everyday and still hides his phones from me.
One day I cried and begged him to tell me what was going on, after hours of begging, the first question he asked me was "where was it written in the bible that marriage has to be between one man and one woman and not with different women", "why can't a man marry two or more wives if he has the resources to take care of them equally"(the lady is a muslim btw).
He confessed that he has been dating this lady for over two years and has no plan of leaving her, and theres a possibility he's going to marry her. I'm just 26yo with a one month old baby, I didn't sign up for this.
While growing up, my mum has always warned us against polygamy. although he's promised to be there for me and still wants our marriage to continue, but the thought of my husband being with someone else is killing me. I've tried to reason with him several times but I end up hurting even more. I've been praying but still no change. He's been trying to compensate with gifts and money but thats not what I want. he doesn't want me to tell anyone and I feel reporting him to his family will even worsen the case. We've always settled our issues ourselves without involving anyone. I've tried everything I can just to take my mind off it. I need someone to talk to, prolly a friend or a counsellor. I've been crying for days now, I've not been eating well and I have to breastfeed my child. I never knew my life would be this complicated. I don't know why he got married to me if he already had this in mind. I hate my life right now. Why do i feel your husband has been hypothesized? Please be prayerful and Let your mum or someone you trust come stay with you. Is nobody coming around to do Omigwo with you? |

handsomebolanle: I have successfully invested in farmcrowdy... Infact their unction around April there about at 50k+ per unit forabout close to 2k available units finished in less than 12hrs most from the morning of that day(8am-10am).
But unlike the last unction.. It was available for over 48hrs maybe even till now..
The reason I won't be investing again as I await my current sponsorship is their low interest percentage...
Their website will offer you 14percent or even 15percent for sponsoring a farm for 9months depending.... Then when you're about to buy.. You will be charged 2percent or 3percent commission . So if you do your maths.. It is basically around 11-12 percent.... Think the risk involved also...
At a point I thought to myself this guy's might even be investing some parts of the money on T-bills or financial institutions ... This is for exclusive farmcrowdy Infact I have their mobile application..
There are others I'm looking at that doesn't charge such commissions... However I'm awaiting someone's testimony before investing in such... (eg ThriveAgric and many others) Exactly.. That really discouraged me from the farmcrowdy thing. When I saw the commission and all.. I just looked the other way. There are a lot of the fintech guys this days.. Agrorite, Farmgate and all, and I notice the ROI keep reducing with new offers for the same farm. |
