Still being fo.olish

It doesn't necessarily bring physical money

Once the evil sacrifice or price of a human life has been made, whatever the person does will just start succeeding making money. In some cases, they may tell the person the business to go into.

But usually assisted by demonic powers, whatever the person does just explodes, and millions starts coming in.
.

Quite on point.... But whatever the devil gives he also comes back to collect. And those involved in such act have actually sold their soul to the devil for eternal punishment while they enjoy the temporary adulation of men and the things of the world money, fame, power, fortune etc.

Where are those privatization goons ? Dem don run hide.

At least when govt ran airlines things werent so bad, workers were paid on time.

They should visit phcn too.

Nigerian Investors are just glorified petty traders. angry
,

The bitter truth is that if a business can not generate enough funds to run its operation, it is either the biz is inefficient or perhaps should be handed over to foreign airlines to manage. i believe govt has no business running an airline. The issue of government paying workers on time, the payment really does not come from the profitability of the business venture but from either Oil money, domestic borrowing and foreign loan. This is why Nigeria has such a high debt profile... Most of the business run by government are simply not productive.

What had been a growing middle class is being daily eviscerated. High inflation, especially for food, is damaging the poor in whose name Mr Buhari ran for office.

Mr zombie, pls see the above bolded. Meanwhile it's like the author of this piece was high on something otherwise how can we relate these two above and one below coming from the same person.

To be fair, Mr Buhari inherited a dire situation courtesy of his hapless predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan. He did the country a service simply by beating Mr Jonathan in an election and sparing the country of further wilful misrule.

mayoor15:
You are right, churches should do more for the society I agree with that but if government were doing their work maybe, MAYBE this debate won't be going on, but I disagree with you that we can't involve government in this, government involved themselves in religion the moment they started rolling out policies that affect people religion. Have you noticed that most of the policies affect Christians most times than the 2 major religions we have in Nigeria, also Islamic bodies have also started establishing private universities and I tell you they don't come cheap, we shouldn't attack churches alone, it's goes far beyond churches, but fact is this, it's not compulsory even if you are a church member that your wards must attend those schools, if you can't afford it, you live within your means, even the whites the brought education, schools isn't cheap in their countries, I tell you 500k is not too much if things were right in the country, in a country where minimum wage is 18k, definitely people can't afford it except those that work where they get millions per month, minimum wage in other countries is far better than ours, let government make life comfortable for people and watch if people will still complain about sending their wards to private schools, remember what ATIKU ABUBAKAR said, "My secondary school students are better than federal university students", for that standard you know how much they pay talk less of his university, is it his money or our collective money, these wicked souls mesmerized our educational system, and will still rub it in our faces.. I put it to you, churches would not have involved themselves in many things if the government were doing well and doing the right things.
I believe what you wanted to say in your last sentence is thus " I put it to you, churches would not have involved themselves in many things MONEY MAKING VENTURES like creche, nursery & primary school, pure water biz, universities, exhibitions etc. if the government were doing well and doing the right things.

If the exert below is true, then Buhari goofed

"Another source added that the Presidency found it curious that a regulation, which the Council could not implement during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, was being enforced under Buhari.
“Although the regulation dated back to Jonathan’s administration, why did he fail to implement it and ask the religious leaders to resign? Why did the council wait till the present administration before insisting on its implementation?” the source asked."

The FRCN clearly stated that the churches took the agency to court on this matter and a verdict was gotten in October, 2016.
Obviously, that would be the reason why the FRCN boss communicated the commencement of its implementation to the Directors at a dinner in December.
Throughout Gej's period they were in court.
I only faulted the FRCN boss on how he failed to comprehensively carry the Minister along.
The president need to stop taking his minister's advices hook line and sinker. Most of them are only after their personal interest.
He needs to search for the facts and hold on to the truth
I now truly understand how Aisha Buhari feels, that people who voted against her husband in 2015 are the ones now enjoying the perks of office. i commend the effort of the FRC boss in implementing the regulation.

Someone sent this BC to me this morning

Daddy G. O.'s tactical resignation or retirement: An unpleasant development

While I agree totally with the call for Christians to go into politics én mass, I would rather call for the church first of all to go into prayers. Haven't we seen sound Christians who went into politics and became compromised by the monstrous spirit of corruption and mammonry that has eaten dip into our political system and taken root in all the seats of power?

This ungodly law that is supposedly signed into law by the National Assembly did not start as a national issue but an expression of grief by one man who became aggrieved by his pastor and general overseer. This man is the current boss of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.

This said man was a pastor with the RCCG who became envious of the success and power wielded by the General Overseer, because, he himself is a power hungry man. He became head of the FRC after repeatedly backstabbing his boss to whom he was number two with repeated petitions to the higher authorities against his boss until he had his way.

He has never had anything good to say about his G. O. He had always spoken I'll of him to whoever cares to hear. While he was still a pastor under the RCCG, he bragged that he had not stepped his foot into the Redemption Camp in many years.

He had always complained that the G O has asked other pastors to step down after reaching 70 years and he himself has refused to do so. And had bragged on a few occasions that he would ensure the G O steps down.

Let me add that neither he the boss nor the parastatal he heads (FRCN) has the power to execute the law, but he did. Financial Reporting Council has its jurisdiction whose bounds this man has overstepped. Recently, the kangaroo Acts of the FRC he concocted alone to favour him and his draconian regime was repealed by the National Assembly or so it seems. His satanic high handedness style of governance has been a thing of concern in the parastatal.

He became so power drunk that he tried to insult the integrity of the G O four years ago when the G O asked that he comes to see him. Only then was his church file as a pastor reviewed and he got suspended from the church. He became all the more drunk with power when he got someone who introduced him to the then president. There, he found an opportunity to present this matter to the president and gave reasons why churches and mosques should start paying taxes. He convinced the president then by running down God's servants.

He was an easy tool then because he came very handy to be used against the then Central Bank governor which led to his suspension from office. This drew him closer to the president and tactically had the president's ear. It was at that point he made way to express his devilish desire against the church with his G O as main target.

When the church suspended him and the then president left office, he quickly joined himself to Latter Rain Church and got introduced to the pastor through a member of staff of the FRC who worships there. This he did subtly because of the closeness of the pastor to this present government so he can get introduced to the new Preside Buhari. That was done.

His staff in the office are groaning under his hard leadership and cannot speak out because he had held them bound with threats and fear. This man who today is an enemy of the church has been implicated in wizardry and witchcraft and belonging to the occult. He has some cases of abuse of office and immoral activities going on in court against him which he lost recently.

Today, he is laughing because it seems his agenda is playing out. He is boasting that it will spread to all the other long serving G.O.s This, he will achieve if the church does not arise to both pray and cease power first from the realm of the spirit.

In Acts 12:1-10, when Herod took James and killed him and no one did anything, he proceeded to take the leader of the apostles- Peter. That's when the church woke up to prayers and intervention came in verse 5-10.

In Acts 7:1-end, Saul ensured Steven died and no one stood against him, so he proceeded to Damascus to clean up the church until the Master intervened because the church prayed.

Who said the bill can not be reversed? Why should the church be dictated to by the state when the state has no hand in leading the church? Didn't our Lord Jesus say He will build His church and the gates of hell cannot not prevail against it? Why is hell raging now and we are complying?

Haman's Bill in the book of Esther was countered. Joshua stopped time until he overthrew evil kings. Where is the power today in the church? We see not our signs. (Ps. 74:9)

The state cannot dictate to the church when her leaders should come in and out and who they should handover to. If we don't fight this evil now, it will develop into something worse that will bring regrets to the church. Who knows; they could start telling the pastors what to preach and what not to preach. What pastors should wear and not wear etc.

Let's call for a Solemn Assembly and let the priests weep between the porch and the altar until this evil quickly dies out.

And the point of this write up is exactly what? Well government can raise it from 20 years to life time... Our love for power and the adulation of men is what is not making us progress as a nation. For a nation to move forward we should focus more on institutions and respect for the rule law and not pampering to personalities. I am most disappointed in Buhari, why the rush to sack the FRC boss, definitely there must be some merit to the regulation.

Where on earth have you heard that churches stopped government from registering any other business or creating enabling environment for businesses/industries to thrive?. What has church got to do with evil system of politicking, wicked tendencies of political office seekers and gullibility of the masses, than to fast and pray? How many churches in Nigeria go about sharing rice, money and T-shirt just to get members (even if it happens, will you not stop going there when they stop the goodies sharing?), rather most people go to church when they see signs and wonders, others for miracles, healing, deliverance and prosperity(only few are heaven minded). And lots of them had been testifying to the goodness and greatness of God(meaning that churches/mosques are shaping destinies and restoring hope). But what does your politicians give you during electioneering? Fake ambiguous promises, rice, 500Naira, pen, or a bottle of coke; so who's fooling who, the church or government.
If the truth must be told! Our youths should wake up from their slumber, do away with baba ijebu, sports betting, mmm, ballot box snatching, thuggery... and start being productive. That's the way forward and that's what I expect you to be preaching at this time not to lay blames on the corridors of the church and thereby further confusing the already confused few.
Please I advise you to take your time to study that "code" that has just been suspended, that's one of the things that has been killing businesses in Nigeria.

Register your own business and grow it, employ others and duplicate yourself or go open a church/mosque if you think its juicy and enriching.
I feel zero joy seeing Churches buying run down factories, run down industrial complex... Asking Architects to remodel industrial complex built for productive venture into church complex. Churches jostling for prime space within areas designated as industrial parks.. This statistics should worry any serious government. The strength of a Nation is not anchored in the numbers of churches, but the productive capacity, the valued added of a Nations export... These are the indices that would attract foreign inflow of investment.

I always get served this bull crap, even just this Sunday, a pastor reminded the congregation of how he got to Lagos with all his stuff in a nylon bag... They have the habit of serially reminding the congregation, how they went through hell... so what! Is that the reason they must now maintain a lavish life style or are they the only one that came to Lagos with one pair of shoe or all their possession in one nylon bag.. Is Christianity all about pay back time.. Gangstas think like that, we don't expect such feeling of entitlements from our so called men of God. I pray one day that one of the so called mega Pentecostal church would have the boldness to start publishing their annual account publicly... i would gladly port over to such a church. The reason is simple.
Any Disco that cannot reasonably and effectively metered the electricity it distributes will not be able to pay the Gencos and will just keep accumulating debt. The issue is worsened now with the fact that 1, estimated billing is becoming difficult to collect, 2, it's almost now illegal to disconnect owning customers.
The ultimate solution is to METERED ALL ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS.. Anything outside that will not work
.

Let me add to your suggestion ... the distribution companies should ensure all metered electric consumers are unable to bypass their meter by deploying the latest technology. Work with Lagos state government on the use of mobile courts to ensure that any consumer that tempers with his/her meter receives court judgment same day.

Bruv you're living in the present.

My question to you is did you read a finance/management/economics course in school?

A lot of factors determine oil prices, what u noted is called 'fracking' that's the new technique of getting oil.

Like I said boss, oil prices will rebound, it's a question of when not how.

Russia wants to start drilling further into the artic and very remote areas in siberia... do u think u know more than the white men whose job it is to forecast demand? Oil & gasfutures?

What's affecting naija, Venezuela n co. isn't low gas prices, it's the OVER-DEPENDENCE on oil.

Mardi gras (an annual masquerade festival in new orleans, louisiana USA) contributes over $50m to us GDP

How much does obudu, olumirin, ikogosi, badagry museum, yankari, argungu festival etc contribute to naija GDP?

UAE used oil to transform dubai, you know how many FTZ are in UAE? Recently lagos unveiled ambitious plans for their own...while SS leaders are jonzing (betraying Donald duke's plan)

Don't worry about the oil prices, worry about nigeria being strategically positioned to benefit from the next price boom & not waste it via embezzlement
The next price boom... when will it happen, what are the likely indices to watch out for... i hope you are not predicating the next oil boom to arise through another round of middle east crisis which would lead to loss of human lives.... My personal opinion is that giving the changing dynamics of the oil and gas industry i do not see an oil boom even 30 years from now... what i foresee is a dstv documentary of abandon oil rigs and oil wells as newer technology provides the need to use less and less oil to power equipment etc. Watch out for the next big bang in the Energy industry!, i assure it wont be crude oil price friendly.

his point is dope.
oil is going through a period of diminishing returns and also an economic term known as "fallacy of compilation".modern technology is effectively increasing the fuel conversion efficiency of machines while a the same time making it possible for crude exploration and refining in previously ignored regions.for instance ghana has successfully raised her crude reserve to 6 billion .In effect, their is too much oil for too little uses.the only way oil can reach previous levels of 2010, is if africa experiences an industrial revolution akin to that of asia or,banning major exporters like done to iran or,the economic tool known as "war" occurs on a continental level.opec output cut would only improve the captial marginally by creating an artificial scarcity.
It is interesting that after the recent OPEC quota cut,,, instead of seeing a rise in crude oil price, rather there was a dip...
