So don’t tell lies. Especially when I was talking about the different socio economic outcomes of middle class and upper class Nigerians who migrated to the UK I’m the 80s.

If your point is different races have a better mindset of cooperation, again you don’t know what you are talking about.

Take Jewish people, I know them well as I do business with them often. Once you climb the socio economic you start to meet the other players and I will give it to this group they’re very shrewd.

But they are not as united as you think. Sephardic Jews who come from Arabian regions don’t always get along with Ashkenazi Jews who hail from Europe. They often go to separate Synagogues which they call Shuls, this occurs even in New York!!! How do I know this, my Jewish associated kindly told me.

Next Indians, as well know mercantilist group. Light skinned Indians from the North west of India from cities like Mumbai don’t like darker skined Tamils from the Southbwho are heavily involved in IT in cities like Chennai and Bangalore. They don’t even like to see another of their number succeed if they are no gaining. So much for unity... I know this because I started out a programmer in Java before building trading platforms..

Chinese are similarly divided Cantonese speakers from Hong Kong don’t like Mandarin speaking mainlanders..

so get your facts straights few groups are as united as you think..

I get tired of this silly mindset of always talking down Nigerians. You may have a lot of self hate but I don’t. Nigerians especially the Yoruba and Igbo have a lot to offer this world and I have seen it first hand..

I am Congolese and for ages I have been trying to convey this message to Nigerians on Nairaland.
Most Nigerians on here always think that the Indians community is doing better than Nigerians in term of unity.
I have told the Nigerians that as long as you aren't part of the Indian community, you will never what is going on in that community. Therefore, you can never say that the Indian community is more united than the Nigerian community.

Now, how do Congolese perceive the Nigerian community? Most of us think that the Nigerians are some of the most united people on the planet. The irony is that we perceive Nigerian unity the way Nigerians perceive the Indians or Chinese unity.

It is after joining Nairaland that I realized that the Nigerians aren't as united as other African think of them. This is where I come to the conclusion that it must be the same with every communities. We can judge the Indian or Chinese community from a distance but once we get to know them then we will realized that the grass isn't always that green

I need help as this question was asked to me by a family friend. I told the person I will post it on Nairaland and get back to her.

This is the issue:

The lady had run away from an abusive marriage in Botswana. She went to South Africa along with her 3 kids (All under 10).

From South Africa she was able to travel to Canada leaving her 3 children in Johannesburg with her sister. She was granted refugee status in Canada.

Now, she is in the process of reuniting with her children. She has applied for permanent residence for them. In this process, she is being asked to have the children father, her husband, complete the form 5604 which is a declaration from non-accompanying parent.

Not only she isn't longer in touch with him(the children father) but also she believe that trying to relocate him is pointless given that he will never agree to sign such a form. He is bound to make her life miserable in any way he can.

Any suggestion?

I guess the right place to hold this type of event would be Nigeria. A place like UN Plaza in NYC can also serve the purpose of sending a message to the world.

BC seems too remote and probably no one among the policy makers in Nigeria will even be aware that such event took place.

With respect to the bolded it depends on the province. I have never had any issue in Ontario for not changing tires. However, the insurance is slightly high as a result of this. Insurance companies will generally ask if you will be using all seasons tires instead of Winter tires (in the winter).

I have heard in Quebec there are police checkpoint inspecting car tires in the winter. It seems like winter tires are mandatory in Quebec

Bro, I understand Botswana economy is growing but you seems to not know that there are "so" many Motswana in South Africa. In fact, more than Nigerians. That they don't cause troubles is why it isn't pronounced like number of Nigerians in SA. I have friends that left top universities in Botswana to take jobs in another university in SA. I don't know where you get this your "hardly migrate".

Nigeria isn't good but if I photoshop Abuja for you, you go fall. Research before you take a step as to migration. No-one can stop anyone from migrating but don't mislead people to the point there will now be clamour for FG support to bring them home after their folly. I've a friend that went to work in a popular African country, he came back being owed months salary. He was even threatened with legal action on being owed! Look before you leap.

I have met the opposite in 2017 in Aba during my NYSC sojourn in the ancient city.

I met this pretty damsel called Olivia, on my way to Aba South secretariats for clearance. The sky descended to a touchable distant, her mien brought a kind of soothing balm to my twisted body. I approached without any hesitation and she willingly granted me the access to her to phone in which I hurriedly inserted my digits.

This was the beginning of melancholic love story.I squandered all my allowance on this girl without any cautions. Before I realised that I had been entangled with an ogbanje, it remained only two months to conclusion of service year.

It was my elder sister that came to the rescue with some money to buy some materials while returning home. I have learnt my lesson and have also forgiven her but I have vowed not to have anything to do with any igbo girl again
